listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise entoacional e construcional das construções condicionais insubordinadas adversativas no português do Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-07-18) Alves, Camila Pires; Arantes, Pablo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9358415148282183; Hirata-Vale, Flávia Bezerra de Menezes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2797556968074056; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6766615391107583The phenomenon of "insubordination" (EVANS, 2007) is defined as the use of constructions that have some degree of subordination but are used independently without being subordinated to a main clause. Thus, the main objective of this work is to provide an intonational analysis from a constructional perspective (LANGACKER, 2008; TRAUGOTT; TROUSDALE, 2013) of conditional insubordinate constructions headed by "se" with adversative value in Brazilian Portuguese. Therefore, the adversative meaning of these constructions is understood as the result of the correlation of formal and functional properties, including the intonational aspect. Although Constructions Grammars defend the independence of linguistic levels, prosody is little considered both in research based on this approach and in studies of insubordinate constructions. In this dissertation, on the other hand, the intonation of these constructions is described, starting from an ad hoc corpora consisting of insubordinate adversative conditional constructions and conditional protases of the same lexical structure. The analyzes showed that the insubordinate adversative conditional constructions do not have a homogeneous intonation pattern. However, the identified intonation patterns indicate a prosodic function of prominence that proves the contrastive meaning of these constructions and distinguishes them from other types of insubordinate constructions (HIRATA-VALE, 2015; SILVESTRE, 2017). By comparing insubordinate adversative conditional constructions and subordinating conditional protases, it was proved that in these cases intonation acts as the only distinguishing feature between these two types of constructions. In a synchronic perspective, the insubordinate adversative conditional constructions were also subjected to a constructional description, according to the parameters of compositionality, productivity, and generality/schematicity (LANGACKER, 2008; TRAUGOTT; TROUSDALE, 2013), in order to understand the formal and functional specificities of these structures. For this purpose, a data corpus was created from two corpora, the Corpus do Português (Cdp), available online, and the C-Oral (RASO; MELLO, 2012), and the morphosyntactic and semantic-pragmatic description carried out by Alves and Hirata-Vale (2020, 2021) on these structures was also adopted. As a result, these constructions were less compositional, since the adversative meaning is mapped by the correlation of the subparts of these constructions; they are partially schematic, since they have a part that needs to be filled in and another part that is fixed; and finally, they are productive, through the expansion of their subschemata. The purpose of this study, then, is to show the contributions that arise from the inclusion of the prosodic level in studies of a cognitive-functional nature, and to introduce this type of analysis of conditional insubordinate constructions with adversative value in Brazilian Portuguese.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Atuação antirracista na biblioteconomia: uma incursão nas ações promovidas pelo CRB-8(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-07-18) Caldeira, Bruno Rafael; Dal'Evedove, Paula Regina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1170937498266968Considering the importance of combating racial inequalities by librarians, the question is how are racial issues guided in the actions and political agendas of the country's Regional Councils of Librarianship in favor of an anti-racist professional performance? In this sense, we seek to analyze in the Strategic Plans of the CRB-8 proposals that favor and contribute to an anti-racist professional performance on the part of the librarian, in order to identify the degree of commitment of these managements to a more politicized, egalitarian and diverse Librarianship, having scope of racial issues. Therefore, it conducts an exploratory and descriptive research, through bibliographic research and survey, analyzing the Strategic Plans of the last ten years of the CRB-8. As a result, it appears that the actions and political agendas of the CRB-8 in favor of an anti-racist professional performance are limited and are not explicitly presented in the respective documents. It is concluded that the theme needs greater involvement on the part of the CRB-8, making it opportune to conduct broader studies that observe how these actions are inserted in the other Councils in Brazil.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelos de sobrevivência bivariados induzidos por fragilidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-07-18) Bedia, Elizbeth Chipa; Gallo, Alexsandro Giacomo Grimbert; Guzmán, Jorge Luis Bazán; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4037274656833325; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7302778157579178; Cancho, Vicente Garibay; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3503233632044163; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9970354479209758Frailty models have been developed to quantify both heterogeneity as well as association in multivariate time-to-event data. The frailty distributions used in many studies include the gamma, inverse Gaussian (IG) or stable positive (SP) distributions. These distributions are usually chosen due to analytical and computational simplicity or due to some attractive property of the model. The choice of the frailty distribution is of fundamental importance in order to arrive at a good description of the dependence structure present in the data. An alternative to the problem of choosing the frailty model would be to choose only one family of frailty distributions and use it as a general model. In this work, we studied bivariate survival data with a semicompetiting risk structure (FINE; JIANG; CHAPPELL, 2001), and long-term bivariate data. In order to incorporate a dependence structure between the times of events, we propose the family of distributions Power variance function (PVF) as a shared frailty model which includes the above mentioned distributions. Data with a semicompeting risk structure arises as a variant of the competing risk structure. In the semicompeting risk framework, usually, two events are considered, namely, a terminal and a non-terminal. The terminal event censors the non-terminal event, but not vice versa. Generally, the two events are correlated. So the dependence between the terminal and non-terminal failure time is incorporated through the PVF shared frailty between the conditional transition rates of the illness-death model (XU; KALBFLEISCH; TAI, 2010), that is equivalent to a semicompeting risks problem. For long-term bivariate data, which are characterized by having a fraction of individuals non-susceptible to the event of interest after a long time, were considered situations in which there are two types of unobservable causes, where each cause is related to occurrence times of an event of interest. To model the dependence between the two times we introduce a PVF frailty variable. For both models, a simulation study is presented to evaluate the performance of the maximum likelihood method in the parameters estimation. Finally, colon cancer data are used in the application of the model with a semicompeting risk structure and Brazilian customer churn data in a financial institution are used in the application of the long-term models.
