These relationships, sometimes conflicting, reflect the conflicts of the physical-material space. Given the need to broaden the geographic view of cyberspace, and in this sense, the research carried out made use of vaporwave, an electronic and experimental musical genre that emerged and popularized on the internet in the mid-2010s as a case study, in an attempt to understand the new contemporary spatial flows. Adopting as a theoretical basis for the investigation the theories developed by Milton Santos, especially the Theory of Urban Economic Circuits, it was possible to understand the applicability and limitations of the use of the theory in the face of new spatial configurations of the globalized world. This case study, based on descriptive, exploratory, bibliographic, documentary and qualitative research, analyzed two information systems used at the aforementioned University, one implemented in 2018 and the other in 2021. Direct observation was carried out with field notes in the sector responsible for the IS at the São Carlos Campus from some dimensions and variables considered references by the literature focused on the evaluation of systems implemented in public organizations, such as: ease of use, productivity and time. The study showed that UFSCar's SAGUI Suprimentos system has brought effectiveness to the bidding processes, due to the ease of use, with the new system interface that more clearly presents the images and technical specifications of the products, resembling the well-known "e-commerce"; the productivity dimension, with more concise reports, based on pre-programmed information, which facilitate the grouping of similar items as well as the quantities demanded; by the time dimension, having considerably reduced the duration of the bidding process, despite the constant increase in bureaucracy. From the 1980s onwards, school physical education went through moments of great uncertainty and crises, providing some reflections, studies and research that contributed to the paradigmatic change experienced in this historical period. The great split consisted in overcoming the biological and sports conception of physical fitness that permeated the area. In this wake, physical education gained pedagogical contours arising mainly from critical theories of education. Therefore, as a curricular component, physical education began to appear in official documents produced at the national level. The most recent guiding document is the National Curricular Common Base. In this document, one of the concepts that underpins the Sport thematic unit is “internal organization”. We understand that, in general terms, this concept comes, to a certain extent, from the theory nicknamed by French professor Pierre Parlebas, the Theory of Motive Action. In this sense, the research problem is based on what are the initial implications of a continuing education course for physical education teachers, guided by the theoretical bases of motor praxiology, for the ways of thinking about the teaching of sport and games at school? In the search to answer the research problem question, we arrived at the objective that is to reveal the evidence of praxeological elements constructed by teachers of Physical Education participating in a continuing education. In this way, a continuing education course was proposed, based on the members of the knowledge base, specifically content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge, as well as the relationship of knowledge related to the experience of teachers. We understand, therefore, that the continuing education of teachers must overcome the hegemonic model of technical-instrumental rationality, seeking a horizontal relationship between the effective participants of the training. The methodology used was based on qualitative research, which allows the researcher to establish a close relationship between the researcher and the subjects, as well as with the environment/research field. We also used, in this study, the approach of the pedagogical intervention research, which proposes investigations that contemplate the planning actions and the implementation of pedagogical interventions. Eight physical education teachers from the public network of a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo participated in this study. With the means of obtaining data, eight training meetings were held over three months. Another route used was the semi-structured interviews with the teachers participating in the course. Data collection took place through the transcription of training meetings and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was supported by the content analysis technique that allows categorizing and classifying findings into categories. After transcribing the reports and analyzing the data, we arrived at three main categories, namely: the first one dealt with the elements relevant to the training course, the second block of analysis was based on the concepts studied in the training course and, finally, the third block comprehended the relationship between what and how to teach in school physical education through praxeological concepts. In general terms, the continuing education course provided the exchange of experiences that were fundamental for the construction of knowledge. Participants also indicated difficulty in understanding the concepts of the theory studied, however they reported that the deepening of many concepts allowed an awareness and rationalization of pedagogical practice. For the composition of this analysis, we seek to highlight the writing of the self of the narrative, both for the recognition of the characteristics of autofiction as a literally genre, and the configuration of a testimonial writing and singular meaning for elaborating childhood’s traumas mediated by violence. To relate these different perceptions, we also develop the hypothesis of impressionism techniques drawing the necessary lines and giving colors and sensations to the author’s memory fragments, in a non-linear portrait, just like fundamental principles of reminiscence. Many species spend part of their lives avoiding predators and a good way to avoid them is through phenotypic variations. Polymorphism is known as a protection strategy against predation, resulting in an increase in the individual survival rate in polymorphic populations, by hindering the formation of the search image by the predator. The aim of this study was to test the protective effect of polymorphism in artificial caterpillars against predation by birds. Our hypothesis was that polymorphism influences the predation rate of artificial caterpillars by birds, and our prediction was that polymorphic populations would be less predated when compared to monomorphic populations. 1280 artificial caterpillars were made, mimicking lepidopteran larvae, in four different color patterns: green, black, red and orange. These caterpillars were grouped into 32 monomorphic and 32 tetramorphic populations, each population containing 20 individuals arranged in leaf substrate at eight different points in forest fragments in the municipality of Analândia/SP. Complementarily, a qualitative survey of bird species that occur in the study area was carried out to verify possible predators of artificial caterpillars. Contrary to prediction, polymorphic populations suffered more predation when compared to monomorphic populations. Other than that, green monomorphic populations were not predated. It is believed that the general low rate of predation of caterpillars by birds due to the low species richness of insectivorous birds, the lack of behavioral responses by artificial prey and the success of the camouflage strategy by green individuals have contributed to this result. .listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Influência das etiquetas eletrônicas de tecnologia RFID na análise comportamental de abelhas sem ferrão Melipona quadrifasciata (Lepeletier, 1836) contaminadas com imidacloprido(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-06) Barbosa, Barbara Silva; Decio, Pamela; Toppa, Rogério Hartung; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0673898572494729In order to elucidate questions about the potential of technological monitoring of native bees, the influence of electronic RFID technology tags was analyzed in relation to the behavior of stingless bees of the species Melipona quadrifasciata exposed to neonicotinoid imidacloprid, in a laboratory approach. The concentration of imidacloprid used in the bioassays after fixing the tags was selected according to the concentrations identified in the nectar of plants pollinated by the species (10 ppb; Sigma-Aldrich, CAS Number: 138261-41-3, purity > 99%). Recording of the individuals was carried out in locomotion arenas with vertical positioning, for the evaluation of the flight activity and the mobility of the bees, together with the purpose of analyzing the behavior in the presence of a superior light stimulus and an attractive food. With the help of EthoVision XT software, data integration and automation of behavioral experiments with bees were observed, and the results obtained during the experiment showed that electronic tags did not interfere with food consumption patterns and bees survival during the period of 48 hours of exposure. However, data from behavioral analysis showed that electronic tags have an influence on mobility in groups associated with the pesticide imidacloprid, which may indicate a relationship between the stress caused by the weight of the tags and the possible effects of the sublethal dose of neonicotinoid. One of the most abundant species of the ichthyofauna in the region is the beach silverside (Atherinella brasiliensis), object of this study. We studied the degree of contamination by microplastics through the analysis of the gastrointestinal tract of A. brasiliensis specimens. Comparative analyses were made in two beaches with different hydrodynamics. The beaches chosen for this study are Perequê-Açú and Barra da Seca, the former being divided into two sampling areas: one calmer and another more energetic. Each beach was sampled twice, one during winter and the other during summer. The collected fish were measured, their gastrointestinal content was extracted, and the microplastics, if present, were classified according to colour, shape, size, and quantity. Simultaneously, measurements of environmental parameters and collection of water and sediment samples were made to correlate the presence of microplastic in the water and sediment, as well as to determine the influence of abiotic factors such as water temperature and salinity and sediment granulometry. The degree of contamination in the individuals was observed and considered high (~40% of the individuals analysed), with the predominant synthetic polymers being blue and transparent of the fiber type. There was a higher consumption of microplastics in the summer at Barra-Seca (45%) and in the winter at Perequê Calma (50%), and a similarity of microplastics in the water samples in both periods. Therefore, to support conservation, the use of technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification tags (RFID) has been using as tools for environmental monitoring. For the purpose of evaluate the influence of electronic tags on bee behavior, the present study aimed to analyze behavioral parameters of locomotion and food resource choice between feeders with and without the neonicotinoid insecticide imidacloprid. To obtain the behavioral data, worker bees of M. quadrifasciata were individually placed in filming arenas for 10 minutes with availability of food contaminated with high and low concentration of the insecticide imidacloprid, 10 ppm and 10 ppb respectively, in addition to pure food and solvent control (Ntotal = 251 bees). It was observed that M. quadrifasciata bees do not have the ability to identify and avoid contaminated food, and the presence of the electronic tag did not change the frequency of visits between contaminated and pure food. The presence of food containing imidacloprid in the shooting situations reduced the movement time of the bees but did not interfere with other locomotion parameters. However, the electronic RFID tags interfered with the locomotion of the bees, so that it reduced the average speed, turning frequency, number of visits to the exit area, distance traveled, and movement time of the individuals. Such system is an interesting alternative to cold gases platforms with Rydberg atoms, with applications in quantum optics and quantum information protocols. For an ensemble of few atoms driven by a laser field, we monitor the photon statistics and the population dynamics of the excited states, identifying the regime of parameters under which blockade or antiblockade is achieved. The maintenance of these systems is facilitated by the ability of clonal species for physiological integration (i.e., the ability to share resources such as water, carbohydrates and mineral nutrients between interconnected ramets) (Campoy, 2017). The plant Hedychium coronarium J. König (Zingiberaceae) is a rhizomatous macrophyte native to Asia widely distributed in Brazil, mainly in riparian areas and in ombrophilous forests. The management of this species requires specific control strategies, as this species tolerates different abiotic conditions in wetlands and presents an efficient clonal growth, resulting in large aboveground biomass production. Therefore, the objective of this work was to investigate the influence of successive mechanical cuts and soil enrichment with nitrogen (N) over time on yield patterns, starch storage in the rhizomes and growth of H. coronarium. We found a negative effect of aboveground biomass removal on biomass production, showing that aboveground biomass removal can contribute to the control of the species over time, regardless of soil enrichment with N. Survival models are useful for estimating the reliability function, describe data properties and more. Considering medical studies, the aim is studying the time until an event occurs, like the death of a patient. However, there can be situations in which the subject will not experience the event. In this study, we explore two parametric models for modelling the cure rate, the mixture model and the defective model. The times to event are assumed to follow the Gompertz distribution. Both frequentist and Bayesian approaches are considered for the estimation problem. To exemplify the discussed theory, applications in real data are discussed.
