listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Adsorção de fósforo e desenvolvimento do feijoeiro-comum (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) em função da aplicação de silício em latossolo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-08) Stelutti, Ingrid Martins; Soares, Marcio Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6337462438517339; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3836802168276918One of the main limitations to vegetal growth and development of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in acid and highly weathered Brazilian soils is the low availability of phosphorus (P) in solution, due to fixation of this nutrient in soils colloids and insoluble compounds formation with iron (Fe) and aluminum (Al). Among the alternatives to increase phosphate fertilization efficiency highlights the use of competing anions for phosphate adsorptions sites, such as silicate. The silicon (Si) addition in the soil can occur through the stonemeal technology, by the application of silicate rock powders considered as by-products of mining. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of Si sources and doses on P adsorption and on development of the common bean plants (cultivar BRS Estilo) on a Rhodic Hapludox soil . The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, in pots of 11 dm³ (to grow the bean plants) and 1 dm³ (for adsorption analyses), with a completely randomized design in a factorial scheme 5 x 2 + 2, with 11 replications. Experimental treatments included five doses (0, 200, 400, 600, and 800 kg ha-1) and two sources of Si (conventional – Agrosilício Plus® and alternative – silicate rock powder). The P adsorption by the soil samples with different doses and sources of Si was evaluated by batch laboratory experiments, using increasing P doses (0, 40, 80, 160, 320, and 640 mg L-1), and the results were fitted by the Langmuir non-linear model. At 53 days after the plant emergency (peak flowering stage), the application of the two sources of Si did not affect the biometric parameters of stem diameter, plant total height, and shoot dry weight. The rock powder provided the highest shoot fresh weight of the common bean plants. The Agrosilício Plus® in increasing doses favored the increase of the total Falker Chlorophyll Index by plants, differently from the alternative source. The Langmuir non-linear model proved adequate to describe the P adsorption by the Rhodic Hapludox soil. The use of the Agrosilício Plus® and the silicate rock powder did not promote changes in the P adsorption parameters (maximum adsorption and affinity coefficient) by the soil colloids.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Mulheres na política sul-americana: condicionantes institucionais e culturais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-08) Dalcin, Cinthia Carvalho; Alves, Vinicius da Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5280134976334285; Braga, Maria do Socorro Sousa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2311094074614215; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4650474144046564In most of the world, women’s access to political power is still a challenge. If we look at the global percentage of women in national parliaments, specifically lower chambers and unicameral parliaments, women occupy on average 26,5% of the positions. In the 1990s, the global average was around 10%. To promote and improve women’s representation, several countries adopted gender quotas. Latin American countries were some of the first to do so, having Argentina as pioneer in adopting legislative quotas. Ever since Argentina adopted the quotas in 1991, over a hundred countries have adopted some type of quota. Some countries were more successful than others. This dissertation seeks to explore the importance of institutional factors such as the electoral system, party system and quota laws in place and cultural factors such as the women’s movement in acquiring political rights and emancipation in South American countries. More specifically, in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay. These countries were chosen due to their historical and cultural similarities and sociological timelines. Some questions motivate this study: 1) Under which conditions were quotas adopted? 2) Once quotas were adopted, can we perceive any cultural differences in countries where the quotas were successful? 3) What about in countries were the quotas were not successful? To answer these questions about cultural changes, we use data from the World Value Survey (WVS) regarding societies perception of women’s rights and female leadership. Institutionally, we look at the quota laws, electoral system and percentage of women elected.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um modelo de controle integrado (químico e biológico) via Programação Linear Fuzzy para a lagarta-do-cartucho Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) na cultura do milho(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-08) Santos, Patrícia do Nascimento dos; Peixoto, Magda da Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0413910306376054This work aims to propose a mathematical model for optimal pest control in agriculture via integration of chemical (application of insecticides) and biological (predation and/or parasitism) control strategies with optimization techniques via Linear Programming Fuzzy . Its main objective is apply this model to the control of the fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), a consolidated pest in Brazilian territory. Agribusiness plays an important role in the Brazilian economy, exerting a relevant influence on the Gross Domestic Product. Currently, the country is one of the great exporters of agricultural products, focusing on corn, one of its main crops, leading the world export in 2019, surpassing previously exported quantities. According to projections for the next decade, the expectation is that the demand for agricultural production will grow driven by population and income growth, consequently increasing the need for risk management that minimizes costs and maximizes productivity. One of the major problems is associa- ted with the incidence of pests in the plantations, considering that the costs related to control are high, especially the chemical one. Therefore, the adhesion of new techniques is indispensable and the Integrated Pest Management proves to be efficient, as in addition to generating less environmental impact, it combines different strategies, such as biological control.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Dos quadrinhos às telas: uma análise dos Laços da Turma da Mônica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-08) Caldeira, Aline Espassa; Andrade, Leonardo Antônio de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3921612856948891; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0439416024367230The purpose of this paper is to analyze a graphic novel and a movie, both named Turma da Mônica: Laços, in which we will approach similarities and differences between them, concerning plot, script, character design and visual characterization, sound, framework, and the placement of easter eggs. We will start by investigating the different terminations that are used by researchers and academicians when they relate to a work resulted of an interpretation from a former text. In the film field, there are those who name these relations, adaptations. Others may prefer to name them, intermediality. Transmedia storytelling is also a termination often used. On the other hand, in the field of linguistics, some may call it intersemiotic translation. Others name it hipertextuality. The multitude of terminations may seem confusing, but it is fundamental that we are able to name the relation between the two works of art that we will be analyzing. Subsequently, we will investigate the relations between both media: comics and movies, establishing comparisons among their common or proper codes. The life and work of Mauricio de Sousa also will be presented, as well as Monica’s Gang’s Universe. We will explore its unfolding, classifying the many “gang’s” that makes it up, as well as the other aspects of the franchise, that spreads into different kinds of comics. For the analysis, we seek to identify the ways in which both narratives relate, whether diverging whether converging, as well as the production of sense created by visual or sound effects, e by the choises made during the process of character development or by actors’ characterization. Besides, we will briefly discuss the way by which the placement of easter eggs was made as a mean to estimulte an active search by the public.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise temporal dos casos infantis de HIV/Aids e tuberculose no município de São Carlos/SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-08) Gatto, Thamires Carraro; Silva, Carolina da Guerra da Mota e; Carasek, Vinicius Paglione; Yamamura, Mellina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0493239207901902
