O agronegócio e as notificações de acidentes de trabalho no Sudoeste Paulista – Brasil: alguns apontamentos
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-04-04) Fernandes, Letícia Delfino; Peres, Alice Miguel de Paula; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7474552535211807; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6192952204337449
The Southwest Paulista known as one of the least "developed" territories of the State of São Paulo (Brazil) has been promoting debates and discussing ways to leverage economic and social development. This discussion raises the importance of agribusiness as a generator of employment and income. It is a territory that historically relies on the presence of forestry, among other activities, and more recently has seen the advance of soybeans replacing the cultivation of beans. To contribute to the debate, our objective is to bring visibility to data from the Occupational Safety and Health Observatory, showing the ranking of the sectors with the most notifications of absences and deaths of workers in this region. We raised the hypothesis that it is precisely the sectors involved with agribusiness that are the ones that most present cases of worker leave and death. These data are usually hidden from the development debate, which, by prioritizing information on income and employment, disregard the advance of precarious work that results in more exploitation and violence in the worker's body and life. A bibliographic research was carried out based on a quali-quantitative approach, as well as the collection of data made available by the Occupational Safety and Health Observatory for the years 2010 to 2020. It was found that among the agribusiness sectors with notifications of accidents in the work at CAT, the sectors of forestry, citriculture and dairy production have a higher incidence of cases in the period from 2012 to 2020 in Southwest São Paulo.

This study sought to understand the perception of users, workers and municipal managers in relation to access and quality of Primary Health Care (PHC) services. An exploratory field research was carried out, with a qualitative approach, in which an individual semi-structured script was used for each population interviewed remotely, being transcribed and analyzed according to content analysis and analyzing flowchart. It was possible to identify changes in the PHC flow and its relationship with the Health Care Network (RAS); the potential and difficulties involving access and quality of services at the gateway to the SAN before and during the covid-19 pandemic. These changes affected essential attributes of PHC, such as longitudinality, coordination of care, bonding with the user and health resoluteness, revealing a disjointed RAS, reflections of the process of dismantling the Unified Health System.

Considering the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, in which rules regarding the precautions with the pandemic have been presented inconsistently by different authorities (e.g., health organizations versus political leaders), the objective of the study was to evaluate the effects of presenting discrepant rules spoken by speakers with different levels of authority (adult teacher and child) on children's maintenance of rule compliance, as well as determining whether the level of authority differentially affects the following of discrepant rules. Twelve children aged 7 to 9 years participated in the study and were exposed to a Matching To Sample (MTS) choice task in a single session with 100 trials divided into 5 blocks. In blocks 1, 3 and 5, the rule presented by the computer corresponded to the contingency. In blocks 2 and 4, a rule that differed from the contingencies was presented by speakers with different levels of authority. To control for the order effect, half of the participants were first exposed to the presentation of the discrepant rule by the higher level of authority figure, the adult teacher, and then by the lower level of authorityfigure, the child, while the other half were exposed to the opposite order. The results indicated that the levels of authority manipulated in this study did not differentially influence the maintenance of the discrepant rule-following. Although the average number of correct answers for the lowest level of authority (child) was lower than for the highest level, the difference between them was not statistically significant. It was argued that, considering the authority variable as a social variable, the online procedure may not have favored the establishment of speakers as authorities of different levels.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of teaching health and hygiene in schools was already recognized and documented, with theoretical content on the relevance of hygiene. However, even with the availability of these materials, many Brazilian schools still suffered from the spread of disease. With the arrival of the pandemic, new documents were prepared, further highlighting the importance of care within the school environment. To investigate the relationship between theory and practice with regard to health and hygiene, a literature review was carried out, focusing on four main documents: "Hygiene and Safety in Schools", "Programa Saúde na Escola (PSE) ", "National Curriculum Parameters (PCN)" and "Guide for the Implementation of Protocols for Returning Face-to-Face Activities in Basic Education Schools". To deepen the research, a practical investigation was carried out in a public basic education school in Sorocaba, state of São Paulo. Practical research led to the conclusion that, despite the existence of documents, schools, professionals and students need practical materials to guide healthy and hygienic practices, in order to avoid the proliferation of pathogens and increase students' understanding of the subject.

Uma revisão de melhores práticas de segurança na Azure
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-04-04) Candido, Gabriel Donizeti; Moreira, Fernando Manuel Araújo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1809254923092721
The text deals with information security concepts from the cloud point of view and uses Azure as an example provider. The definitions of infrastructure, platform and software services are contextualized, with examples based on the chosen provider, such as virtual machines, SQL databases and Web application services. are also presented introductory concepts about information security, such as security frameworks and the main types of cyber attacks following the list of OWASP, a worldwide organization for application security. And joining the concepts of cloud with security, some features offered by Azure to protect cloud applications are illustrated. As an application of the concepts, an architecture of a real project and its description “as is” are presented. The project deals with a data flow involving Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage Account, SQL Server, APP Service and other cloud resources. An analysis is carried out from the security point of view, and then a solution proposal is presented to resolve the flawed points. The main points presented as a solution are the use of isolated virtual networks, with strategic exposures on the internet through the Azure Application Gateway and the Azure VPN Gateway, as well as the use of a firewall such as the Web Application Firewall (WAF), the use of identity management like Azure Active Directory (AAD), and secrets management like Azure Key Vault. Finally, it is concluded that the redundancy of security policies contributes to the creation of a safer cloud solution, and that isolating the internet environment using virtual networks and applying Firewall policies and minimum access policies makes it difficult for intruders to access . It is also concluded that when provisioning a cloud solution, a large part of the responsibility is shared with the provider, which already has very well tested and validated security solutions and, therefore, reduces the risks of hacking.

Random networks have been widely used to describe interactions between objects, including interpersonal relationships between individuals. One of the most important features of networks is the presence of communities, which are groups of nodes with similar patterns of connection. In this regard, we propose a model in which edges between pairs of vertices are randomly assigned, given the communities of those vertices, following the zero-inflated Poisson (ZIP) distribution. This proposal allows us to model networks with community structure that are sparse and have edge weights. The estimation of the parameters of the ZIP distribution is performed using the EM algorithm, while the estimation of communities is done using the EM-Variational algorithm. The performance of the estimators is evaluated through simulation studies, using the Normalized Mutual Information (NMI) comparison measure to compare the true and estimated communities. To compare the estimated parameters of the ZIP distribution, we use the Mean Squared Error (MSE). Finally, we apply the proposed model to airport networks in Brazil and detect the community structure from 2018 to 2021, in order to evaluate the changes that occurred in these networks before and during the COVID-19 pandemic period.

Bacterial biofilms are sessile communities of bacteria, where a single or multiple species establish themselves on biotic or abiotic surfaces and become embedded in a self-produced polymeric material, bringing them greater resistance to adverse environmental factors. Biofilms represent a major challenge in the food industry, as they become sources of contamination causing health risks to consumers and great economic losses. Among the biofilm-forming microorganisms, there are important food-borne pathogens that cause diseases, which include Salmonella enterica, Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli, and others. With advances in studies on bacterial biofilms, including the expression of genes involved in this process, new mechanisms to control the formation of biofilms have emerged, including the use of chemical treatments, essential oils, enzymatic breakdown, and others. This work aimed to compile the characteristics and mechanisms used in the formation of biofilms of the main foodborne pathogens, in addition to presenting the general understanding of some strategies used in the food industries and their actions on the formation of biofilms.

Benzection is a practice with records from the period of the High Middle Ages, which remains in action and modernizing over time. In Brazil, the trade begins in the colonial period, at a time when medicine was scarce and with few professionals. In this context, the blessing helps in the treatment and cure of various diseases that afflict the popular, remaining in action in the contemporary period, existing and resisting in several locations in Brazil. This work proposes to address the origin of religiosity in man’s life, to analyze how syncretism was formed in colonial Brazil, context and development of benzection, as well as its forms of manifestations through the centuries, in an example within cultural geography. Counting on bibliographical research, essential for the accomplishment of this study, constituted by authors as Laura de Mello e Souza, Mircea Eliade, Silvia Federici and others. From these authors, we seek to understand how the practice of benzedeiras was formed and its characteristics and adaptations, addressing reports of this formation and how they were seen by society. The general objective of the research is to understand the popular healers, considering the oral tradition and the rite in the process of social interaction, with the purpose of understanding the origin, formation and permanence of these practices that are linked to culture, religion and popular medicine, interpreting the established interpersonal relationships, which keep the tradition still current. The research allowed the analysis of the profile of benzedeiras and from it was constituted the corpus of this work.

The dairy activity in Brazil has an important social and economic role, it corresponds to the sourceof income of countless farmers, including family members. In 2017, the publication of the PaulistaDairy Beef Development Plan disclosed the significant reduction of milk producers in the country, indicating a more competitive scenario that would select the most technical and productive. In thiscontext, we propose to study the small milk producers in the Municipality of Angatuba, located inthe Southwest of São Paulo. This study aims to analyze the profile of these producers, the socioeconomic conditions and their production conditions, identifying from the information obtained, the difficulties and challenges faced. Against the trend of the state of São Paulo, when analyzing the data from the municipality of Angatuba, we realize that what happened was an increase in cattle farming. We then formulated the following question to support the analyses: whyin Angatuba did not occur the reduction of the area with cattle raising? What explains this phenomenon? Could we associate it with the specific characteristic of local production? What would be this characteristic found in small producers? To achieve the objectives of the study, the research included a bibliographical research and an empirical research characterized as exploratory, descriptive and interpretive. Interviews were carried out with 15 milk producers in the municipality, carried out through google forms, sent via WhatsApp, phone calls and in person, considered family farmer. It can be said that, for the producers who participated in the research, the main difficulties for the strengthening and permanence in the dairy activity are related to the lack of incentive for the dairy activity, instability of the price paid per liter of milk and the high cost of the inputs.

New technologies are being increasingly used in the business world, but not always in a sustainable way. There are different movements in the business world that raise questions about how it is possible to build a management (private or public) that produces technology and is still sustainable. Within the idea of innovation in management, there are paths such as technological innovation, organizational innovation and even behavioural organization. In addition to this concept, sustainability is also part of the main objective, as each innovation work structure currently must undergo a sustainable restructuring. Therefore, the objective of this article is to understand how sustainable innovations can exist in a business environment, that is, how to carry out an economically sustainable path in a company. The path to understanding the objective, which will make use of bibliographical research as a research methodology, will be traced through the understanding of what sustainability and innovation in management mean. It is concluded, therefore, that sustainability in the business environment is possible, but requires a continuous dialogue between companies and the world around them, always prioritizing man and the environment in which he is inserted.

Psychedelic experiences are often characterized by the emergence of unconscious contents. Among the various types, those known as challenging or difficult bring intense negative emotions, such as fear and anguish, and can even be traumatic. However, these experiences can benefit individuals if they seek to understand them with professional help, by elaborating the emotions and content that arise – a process called integration. The present study aimed to provide a setting/opportunity for the integration of difficult and potentially traumatic experiences resulting from the use of psychedelic substances (LSD, LSA, or psilocybin). This is a qualitative study based on concepts from Psychoanalysis, mainly Winnicottian, to understand reports of challenging experiences. Two young adult female university students who had been in a challenging experience with LSD participated in the study. Each participant took part in four sessions of semi-structured clinical interviews based on the technique of free association. Additionally, the free drawing technique was used for aesthetic expression related to the challenging experience. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee on Human Research at the Federal University of São Carlos (Opinion No. 4.901.570, CAAE No. 48776121.7.0000.5504). The analysis was based on the construction of joint meanings between the researcher/participant pair, the application of psychoanalytic theoretical concepts, and an exploration of socio-cultural issues intricately linked to conflicts emerging from psychedelic experiences. With both participants, it was possible to integrate the challenging psychedelic experience, discovering connections between emerging content and pre-existing but less conscious conflicts. With this study, we hope to contribute to the bridging of Psychology and Psychoanalysis with reports stemming from psychedelic experiences, a gap that deserves to be discussed in the academic and professional spheres.

With the growth of the personal hygiene and cosmetics market, the category's environmental concern requires actions to remedy the damage these products cause to the ecosystem. One of the concerns for water treatment plants is surfactants, with Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) being one of the most used in the cosmetic industry worldwide. Studies on its bioremediation are indispensable for decision making and implementation of improvements in effluent recovery processes. This systematic review sought to evaluate the different biodegradation methodologies used in studies concerning the surfactant. Using the Google Scholar search engine and the Capes, Science Direct and Scopus databases, the articles were evaluated according to the OECD tests for immediate biodegradation and ISO 7875. Although the searches resulted in 11,016 articles, a low number of of works with relevance to the theme, where only 5 were selected for this systematic review. These 5 presented a low variety of conditions of pH, temperature and combination of microorganisms, which prevents a precise assessment of the biodegradation of Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate. To ensure assertive decisions about its removal in water treatment plants, further studies are needed to fill in the gaps found.

Women within the ASD - autistic spectrum disorder - still depend heavily on their own hypotheses and research to actually discover themselves as an autistic woman. All the characteristics that differentiate them from male individuals within the spectrum, added to studies historically focused on more apparent characteristics, involuntarily promote the self-diagnosis of these girls and women. For self-diagnosis to occur and even for the hypothesis of autism to arise, it is necessary that the subject in question first emerges with an informational need. From this movement, Informational Behavior is born, which is understood to be responsible for these women to have concrete conclusions about their own mental health. Thus, the present study was carried out with the main objective of examining the existing studies that addressed the issue of Informational Behavior of adult women for self-diagnosis in autism. For that, searches were carried out in three databases with different scopes, namely the Web of Science, PubMed and Brapci. Such searches were carried out with a focus on the expression assembly strategy, with the intention of elaborating a search script capable of demonstrating the hypothesis of this research: that this is a subject that is not yet being addressed by information scientists and other professionals. Through the searches, the initial hypothesis of this research was proven and the existing gap in the literature was highlighted. The main results showed returns focused on autism in general and, sometimes, the informational behavior of parents of autistic children, but never all essential aspects for the research question. In this way, it was concluded that this really is a fertile field for research, mainly in the field of Informational Behavior, in particular due to the social role to be played by librarians and information scientists contributing positively to social well-being.

In 2011, in the context of the Psychiatric Reform, the Psychosocial Care Network was established. One of the services that make up the Network is the Psychosocial Care Center II Mental Disorder, intended for adult patients with mental disorders. The term “disorder” indicates the existence of a set of symptoms associated with suffering. Mental disorders are diagnosed using different systems. A psychiatric diagnosis is a tool that makes it possible to classify illnesses by means of symptoms. One of the systems used is the 10th revision of the International Classification of Diseases - ICD-10, which is officially adopted by health services in Brazil. Diagnoses are constructs aimed at understanding the world and not concrete and real objects, and their limits and value are widely discussed. There are, in general, two different positions on the subject. One of the positions argues that psychiatric diagnosis only labels unclassifiable people to legitimize medical power. The other position understands it as necessary for a proper understanding of the patient and to guide the therapeutic strategy. Different people with private lives relate in very own ways with their diagnoses, so the objective of the research is to understand how the psychiatric diagnosis relates to the individual's life history. The focus of the research is qualitative and the method used was the Life History. Six CAPS II users in São Carlos, with diagnoses provided for in the ICD-10, were interviewed, in addition to a service psychologist. Users' medical records were also analyzed. The interviewees presented multiple and diverse explanations for what makes them suffer, for their diagnoses and treatments, even those who are diagnosed with the same disorder, and these processes are intertwined with the life history of each one. It is already recognized that these processes are multifactorial. That said, life history is not a context or background that can cause, aggravate or alleviate an illness, but it is central, including in any form of care directed at the patient. The research, by giving voice to members of a historically marginalized and still very discriminated group, managed to investigate, from the Life History method, how the individual means his life history and his diagnosis and how they are intertwined.

The agricultural sector in recent years has shown an increase in demand for water and nutrients, however, human activities have impacted negatively on the availability of these resources in nature, where the natural distribution of water that was already disproportionate on planet Earth, has become more intense. An alternative to mitigate the low availability of water and fertilizers, in a sustainable way, is the application of treated domestic wastewater, which can meet the water demand of plants, besides being a source of nutrients and organic matter. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the main impacts of the application of treated domestic wastewater in protected cultivation of anthurium (Anthurium andraeanum). The experiment was conducted in suspended benches, where the anthurium plants were grown in coconut fiber inside Styrofoam troughs, in protected cultivation. The three treatments applied were: (TRA) treated domestic effluent supplemented with mineral fertilizers, (TA) drinking water supplemented with mineral fertilizers and (TR) treated domestic effluent only. The experiment was performed in a randomized block design, in which quantitative data were subjected to the Tukey test at 5% and Shapiro-Wilk test to attest the normality of the data. The results collected showed that when applying only the treated domestic wastewater (TR), the plants presented nutritional deficiency and low productivity. The biometric parameters (stem length, spadix, spathe, largest leaf and number of flowers) and productivity resulting from the TRA treatment showed no statistical difference in relation to the TA treatment, proving that by using treated domestic effluent the high productivity was maintained with the economy of 3.5 m3 of drinking water and 21.8% of mineral fertilizers. Even with the detection of the presence of Escherichia coli in the treated domestic effluent, the cultivation was considered safe with the absence of contamination in the plants. Thus, it is concluded that the application of treated domestic wastewater as an alternative and sustainable source of water and fertilizers on coconut fiber substrate in a protected environment was feasible in anthurium cultivation, without compromising the health safety of the professionals involved.

The aim of this study was to review the literature on locust species of the subfamily Melanoplinae (Orthoptera: Acrididae) by collecting secondary data and comparing them with similar studies of locust records. From this survey, tables were prepared in order to present the information of genus, subspecies, species, location, specific coordinates in the Brazilian territory and endemism. Then, maps were made containing the locality of registration of each species, with the intention of analyzing the occurrence of this subfamily in Brazil. Altogether, 15 genera, 104 species and 2 subspecies were recorded, the highest occurrence occurred in the southern, midwestern and southeastern regions. The states with the highest records were Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Mato Grosso (MT) and Minas Gerais (MG), respectively.
