    The Vassununga State Park (PEV), in the municipality of Santa Rita do Passa Quatro - SP, is a State Conservation Unit, possessing vast diversity in fauna and flora, composed of formations of Atlantic Forest (Semideciduous Seasonal Forest) and Cerrado, characterized as a transition area between these biomes. Its stratified composition in several plots and history of exogenous disturbances have propitiated an increase in the population of vines. In this work, we evaluated possible changes in forest structure, litterfall and soil chemical attributes of semideciduous seasonal forest in edge areas after six years of management by annual cutting of vines. Twenty-seven (10x10m) plots were marked near the edge, 14 of them in areas that did not receive any management, control (C), and another 13 that underwent an annual vine cutting (M) during the dry season. Samples of literfall and soil were collected to assess differences in dry mass and soil chemical attributes. Forest and literfall structure did not differ significantly in managed and unmanaged plots. However, it was possible to verify chemical changes in the managed soil, such as doubled Al content (from 4.9 mmolc/dm3 to 9 mmolc/dm3), lower pH (from 4.7 to 4.5), and lower organic matter content (~10%), suggesting a change soil.

    Steel-concrete composite connections are those in which the transfer of forces between structural elements, as well as stiffness and strength, are simultaneously ensured by steel and concrete components and elements. At room temperature, the behavior of steel-concrete composite connections is well known. However, the behavior of these connections in fire situations and their effects on the structure still need to be further investigated. This study investigated, through numerical analyses, the behavior of beam-beam and beam-column composite connections in steel and concrete, both at room temperature and in fire situations, as well as their effects on the overall structural behavior. Initially, a bibliometric analysis and subsequent systematic review of the literature regarding studies involving steel-concrete composite connections in fire situations were conducted to identify the main knowledge gaps in the field. Subsequently, numerical models of steel and steel-concrete composite connections were constructed and validated under both room temperature and fire conditions. Subsequently, a parametric analysis was conducted, simulating 663 numerical models of composite connections under both ambient temperature and fire conditions. The variables under study encompassed connection type, beam and column profiles, negative reinforcement ratio of the composite connection, degree of steel-concrete interaction between the composite beam and slab, slab type, direction of moment curvature at the connection, steel strength, and concrete strength. All parametric variables exerted influence on connection behavior. Fire conditions revealed distinct failure mechanisms compared to those observed under ambient temperature for all connection types. Practical equations were formulated for calculating moment resistance and initial stiffness at ambient temperature, as well as minimum stiffness during a fire and cumulative rotation variation, specifically for beam-column composite connections. Subsequently, to evaluate the impact of connections on the fire behavior of structures, 8 building models were constructed. In these analyses, significant influence of the number of stories and fire location on building behavior was observed. Moreover, the fire resistance duration of the buildings exceeded that of isolated connection models, reinforcing the importance of considering the global behavior of structures, along with proper interactions among elements, in fire situation design.

    The goal of this dissertation is the theoretical development of the Ricci flow, a differential equation over a family of Riemannian metrics on an arbitrary differentiable manifold, and its use in the proof of the so-called Smooth Sphere Theorem, which states that every compact, simply connected Riemannian manifold with dimension greater than or equal to 4, with sectional curvature pinched between 0.25 and 1, is diffeomorphic to a sphere.

    Based on the analysis of the feature films A Girl at My Door (2014) by Jung July, Missing (2016) by Lee Eon Hee and Kim Ji Young, Born 1982 (2019), this study focuses on observing the feminist discourse of South Korean female directors from three perspectives: sexuality, motherhood, and work. We established relationships between the theory of melodrama and han (恨); using feminist film theory, we analyzed the Confucian concepts of the three obediences (三從之道); the seven sins (七去之惡) and the wise mother, good wife (賢母良 妻) present in the selected works. We displayed in an introductory way the history of cinema in the Korean peninsula in parallel with the main political events of the 20th century; and the participation of women in the development of East Asian cinematographic language. For example, Park Nam Ok portrayed in The Widow (1955) the difficulties of a widow raising her daughter during the war. Like her, other female directors have also used cinema to show the gender inequalities faced in South Korea. In this thesis, we sought to answer the current challenges faced by female audiovisual directors.

    Faced with the problem of a small supply of services and a considerable rate of evasion of users of a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs, the purpose of this study is to carry out a survey of the affections that the CAPS AD environment awakens in users, observing the configuration of the person-environment relationship and the psychosocial implications provoked by the experiences lived in the service. In the light of studies in Environmental Psychology and the field of Collective Mental Health, from an expanded clinical perspective, the study is justified by promoting advances in deinstitutionalizing practices, gaining knowledge and enabling greater conditions for identification, appropriation and belonging to the environment. It aims to analyze the perceptions that the environment awakens in the user, based on affectivity, in a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs. The study methodology follows a qualitative design, characterized as an intervention research, in which the Instrument Generating Affective Maps (IGMA) was applied, together with structured interviews, whose results are examined with the support of Categorical Content Analysis. As a result, it was inferred that the user's relationship with the CAPS AD presents a potentiating esteem and feelings of those who are at home, of those who feel welcomed. No correlation was identified between affectivity and the environment and dropout from the service, and the evaluation of therapeutic practices obtained a majority result of satisfaction, followed by indication of improvements regarding the expansion of the offer menu of non-biomedical model activities, the shortening of the waiting time for medical return and investments in structure and therapeutic resources.
