This leads to specific demands of people with disabilities, in this case passengers with hidden disabilities in air travel, being partially met because there are criteria in the planning of practical actions to promote accessibility for these individuals that are not included in the regulations. Therefore, this study has as its research theme the development of accessibility recommendations in airports for people with hidden disabilities. The objective is to understand passenger assistance processes to develop recommendations based on literature and collection of experiences from service providers at airports in Brazil. To achieve this purpose, a multi-method research approach was used. The theoretical methodological approach was based on systematic literature reviews and reviews of national and international civil aviation normative content. The empirical methodological approach was based on French ergonomics, which exposes the directions for understanding the work activity. In addition, the activity theory was also used, in the analysis of the mediating factors of the operators' activity to achieve a result: the assistance of passengers with hidden disabilities. This study is organized in the format of articles, which present the following publication proposals: (i) the state of the art with accessibility recommendations for passengers with hidden disabilities in airports, based on general transportation situations, and adapted to the typical stages of an air travel journey; (ii) review of civil aviation normative documents to develop a framework that integrates the needs of passengers and the experience of operators in a synthesis of the main procedures for assisting passengers with hidden disabilities; (iii) present a conceptual model that synthesizes the service quality indicators in airports that have a link to accessibility, in addition to a case study carried out in two airports in Brazil to exemplify the proposed theoretical model. The results obtained through theoretical contributions, including the framework and the conceptual model, translate the main strategies carried out by service providers in assisting these passengers in airports or air travel. This context of knowledge generation can be incorporated into practical contexts to assist airport and airline service providers in improving structural and service conditions in terminals.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Cinderelas modernas: o que os best-sellers juvenis ensinam sobre ser mulher?(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) Reiss, Thamires Andrade; Auad, Daniela; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8903433226323112; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0265961975853174Following Montserrat Moreno's provocation Como se ensina a ser menina, and the intersection between feminist studies and education, the research explores elements that shape the socialization of girls and women through the analysis of two contemporary Brazilian young adult literature works: Cinderela Pop by Paula Pimenta and Confissões de uma garota excluída, mal-amada e (um pouco) dramática by Thalita Rebouças. The guiding assumptions and companion texts of the research engage with the literature surrounding the evaluation of sexism in children's books based on discourse analysis. Thus, they indicate the cultural construction of gender relations, possible influences, and the potential of literature in processes of subjectivity and education. The analysis of the selected works highlights the authors' trajectory, the extratextual elements of their books as objects in relation to other cultural products, and an analysis of the representation of eight female characters, according to their significance in the respective plots. The results indicate that both works perpetuate ideals present in the Cinderella tale, such as the relentless pursuit of conformity to beauty standards, female rivalry in the pursuit of male love, women's personal fulfillment conditioned by romantic involvement with a man, compulsory heterosexuality, and the denial of sexuality. These elements perpetuate a Cinderella-inspired education. In light of this, the research also establishes initial ideas and proposes a decinderelizing education that promotes quality of life, freedom, and fulfillment for all women.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelos alternativos para classificação em dados desbalanceados(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) De La Cruz Huayanay, Alex; Bazán Guzmán, Jorge Luis; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8040998023074358; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5174900495252139; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0746-0803In binary classification, the most used method is logistic regression model. However, several authors indicate that this model is not suitable when the data are imbalanced; for this, different asymmetric link functions as alternatives for binary response models have been proposed, for example, in recent years the power (P) and reverse power (RP) distributions have been presented. In this work we develop new properties of the P and RP distributions in the context of models for classification on imbalanced data. Also, some metrics for classification are studied through a simulation study, and an application of the studied methodology is presented. In addition, we extend the binary regression models to the case of mixed models for binary classification in the context of a longitudinal studies. To evaluate the performance of the models, a simulation study is performed. Additionally, an application is considered concerning the studied methodology in a dataset in which the response is longitudinal and imbalanced. For parameter estimation the Bayesian approach is considered using a MCMC procedure through the No-U-Turn Sampler (NUTS) algorithm. Further predictive checks, randomized Bayesian quantile residuals and a measure of Bayesian influence are considered for model diagnosis. Different models are compared using model selection criteria.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Influência de Interface sobre as propriedades Ferroicas e Multiferroicas de Nanoestruturas de Pb(Zr0,2Ti0,8)O3/CoFe2O4 Crescidas via RF-Sputtering(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) Bonini, Ricardo Pereira; Zabotto, Fabio Luis; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8828635263888498; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2868-6828; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5922368801227094; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9149-1997This work shows a systematic study of the structural, microstructural, ferroic and multiferroic coupling properties of bilayer thin films of the PZT/CFO system, with the constituent phases varying in thickness from 20 to 300 nanometers. These heterostructures were fabricated by physical deposition using the radio frequency sputtering technique (RF-Sputtering). Through the structural study, it was possible to determine the lattice parameters of each constituent phase of the heterostructures and, in this way, quantitatively determine the strain remaining in each layer of the films and evaluate its evolution as a function of the thickness of the layers. In this work it was also possible to study the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties and to correlate these properties with the thickness and the strain and determine their influence on these properties. In this regard, it was possible to determine how the ferroic properties can influence the multiferroic coupling between the constituent phases of the heterostructure, as well as the role that the interface has on this coupling.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito da radiação uv-vis e infravermelho no perfil metabolômico de compostos orgânicos voláteis de Glycine max(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) Martinez, Jesus David Sierra; Forim, Moacir Rossi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1234565160573730; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8798-2921; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6777762645501911; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7799-0212Despite significant advances in means of production and agricultural controls, insects are still humans' main competitors for food. As a result of breeding programs for productivity gains, among other characteristics, most cultivars currently available do not present efficient mechanisms of resistance against insect pests. In this way, the comparative metabolomics study between wild genotypes and cultivars can recover fundamental information on mechanisms of constitutive and induced resistances associating these results to genes, proteins, and secondary metabolites of plant defense, opening a field of research for the development of products and sustainable practices of pest control. Thus, the main objective of this project was to evaluate the effect of UV-Vis radiation on the metabolomic profile of volatile organic compounds from Glycine max (L.) Merr. seeking to understand how environmental factors modify and stimulate their metabolism. In addition, we also seek the recognition of defense mechanisms that can be stimulated and used to control insect pests. The HS/GC-MS analyses detected 16 volatile compounds, mostly aldehydes, alcohols, Furan derivatives, and hydrocarbons, including some with recognized chemoprotective activity against light radiation such as Linalool, and related to the direct and indirect defense of the plant against herbivores. The wild (PI407270), conventional (BRS-284,) andtransgenic(RR2PRO) cultivars influence the choice of food for S. frugiperda before any irradiation treatment is applied, with the wild cultivar being the greatest deterrent, especially when it receives broad-spectrum irradiation. Hexanal; (E)-2-hexenal; n-hexano; 2-ethyl-furano and 1-octen-3-ol are the main VOCs that respond to UV-Vis-infrared irradiation treatments, serving as markers of the response to the abiotic stimulus and the presence of compounds such as n-hexano coincides withhigh rates of deterrence of S. frugiperda.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A inclusão escolar pelo olhar de participantes da ReAD: narrativas de professoras e licenciandas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) Almeida, Amanda Carolina Marmo de; Souza, Ana Paula Gestoso de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2662760426985944; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2015-0829; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8130658973000709Nowadays, school inclusion represents a significant advance for Brazil, the result of efforts and important achievements not only in the educational context but also in social, political, and cultural. The outlined master's research had as the object of analysis written narratives of teachers and undergraduate students, raised through an online Extension Activity called ReAD (“Rede de Aprendizagem e Desenvolvimento da Docência” in Brazilian Portuguese, which means Teaching Learning and Development Network) in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA Moodle) of UFSCar. The online Extension Activity had the following issue “What do teachers and undergraduate students participating in the Teaching Learning and Development Network (ReAD) reveal about the development of Special Education from the perspective of school inclusion?”, the objective was to identify and characterize the representations, challenges, ways of facing, and possibilities of pedagogical practices in the narratives of ReAD participants regarding school inclusion. The study was developed from a qualitative approach and had the participation of three teachers from the regular classroom, three teachers from the AEE (“Apoio Educacional Especializado” in Brazilian Portuguese, which means Specialized Educational Support), and three undergraduate students in Pedagogy at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), in the distance modality. As instruments for data collection, forms, posts in forums, analysis of a teaching case, and experience reports were used. After finishing the Extension Activity, data were tabulated, dividing them into categories and subcategories, highlighting relevant aspects, and thus building the categories of analysis. Three categories of analysis were established: Representations revealed by the ReAD participants, with the subcategories being teacher, school inclusion, and representations about the teaching and learning process; Challenges and ways of facing them revealed by the ReAD participants, with the subcategories: challenges to the teaching and learning process and teaching work conditions; Possibilities of pedagogical practices revealed by the ReAD participants, with the subcategories: possibilities of pedagogical practices for the teaching and learning process and teacher training. The data obtained show that school inclusion is a complex process for teachers and undergraduate students and involves not only their representations about teaching and the professional development of teachers but also the challenges of practice and training gaps. In summary, the research participants understand that PAEE (“Público-Alvo da Educação Especial, which means Target-audience of Special Education) students should be in regular classrooms in regular schools, but they highlight that this involves teacher training, building support networks, the partnership between school and family, elimination of barriers (attitudinal, architectural and technological), the guarantee of rights such as AEE, collaborative work and also resources, strategies and curricular adjustments that meet the specificities, needs and abilities of PAEE students. In addition, precarious infrastructure, high workload, lack of support from the management team, the high number of students in the classroom, and low salaries, were some of the working conditions denounced by teachers and undergraduates. In this way, good working conditions and appreciation of the teaching career proved to be essential for school inclusion to take place. Despite the challenges, the research participants indicated their ways of facing and presented possibilities for pedagogical practices related to the teaching and learning process and teacher training, showing that they are in motion in the search for school inclusion in the PAEE. In conclusion with the results, the ReAD as an online learning network favored intergenerational dialogue and also provided moments of training and reflection for teachers and undergraduates, contributing to the process of school inclusion and, consequently, to the accomplishment of a school for all, inclusive and democratic.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Emprego de biopolímeros como forma de substituição a fontes de recursos naturais não renováveis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) Rosalino, Natiely Cristiny Alves; Valsechi, Octavio Antonio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2072744263052505; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3712105951783183Due to its versatility and use in the most diverse areas of daily life, the production and consumption of plastic grew on a large scale from the 1970s onward (SCHWARZ, 1992) and still has a large market. However, for the most part, the origin of this material is through the use of fossil fuels, such as oil and mineral coal, being, therefore, of non-renewable origin and often non-biodegradable, which causes several problems to the environment. In this way, this study sought, through a bibliographical review of the subject, to highlight alternatives for the way of producing plastics, seeking to bring sustainable and less degrading forms to the environment. The conclusion whas that, despite the other alternatives already found for the production of plastic that does not use non-renewable sources, production through biopolymers, using biomass from cultures such as sugarcane and its derivatives, is in line with the that society needs to solve the plastic problem.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O PIBID como elemento formativo e as concepções pedagógicas: um estudo a partir das percepções dos participantes de um subprojeto de biologia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) Silva, Yara Rosa Romanelli Campos Gonçalves da; Galizia, Fernando Stanzione; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4007795540173093; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9597-0733; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6679656377107598; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7611-3162The research has as general objective to investigate, through the perceptions of its participants, the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Initiation to Teaching (PIBID) – Biology as a formative element of science and biology teachers, from the pedagogical conceptions. The specific objectives are: to understand how the coordinators, students and references identify the PIBID - Biology as a formative element for future teachers of science and biology; investigate which pedagogical conceptions can be perceived in PIBID – Biology and to understand how these conceptions can influence the formative process and to analyze how the participants understand the activities promoted by PIBID Biology as formative elements, from the pedagogical conceptions that seem to underlie them. The research with a qualitative approach was based on carefully describing its methodological processes through a high scientific rigor of the data. These data came from a semi-structured interview, documentary analysis, bibliographic analysis and application of an online questionnaire. To understand and discuss the data, we used content analysis along with categorization, where this was analyzed in the light of the theoretical framework and the perceptions that could be inferred. The categories discussed are, respectively: PIBID as a formative element; Pedagogical conceptions and formative activities carried out in PIBID and pedagogical conceptions. Thus, when seeking to understand how the PIBID can be a formative element for teachers, understanding this issue through the pedagogical conceptions underlying it, we can conclude that the PIBID It is a very important formative space, being a promising program regarding the qualification of teacher learning in teacher training courses, because it puts students in direct contact with the practice of teachers, charging them to assume and perform attributions and actions jointly with peers and thus, forming a teacher. In addition, we understand that the presence of the conceptions that guide the teaching practice of teachers may be present in PIBID – Biology from the approaches classified by the author Mizukami herself (1986), this being the traditional, humanist, cognitivist, behaviorist and socio-cultural, the latter being the most noticeable according to the data. Thus, it is through the characteristics of these conceptions that the activities that the project proposes are built and can thus contribute to the understanding and constitution of the conceptions of the future teacher.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Over the rainbow: as realidades cristãs nas ressignificações de sexualidades(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-08-11) Guimarães, Fernando Augusto de Souza; Souza, André Ricardo de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7016915324466152; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5224-3117; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9081757614929729; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4105-3822In this thesis, the dynamics of conflict and dispute in explanations about sexual diversity in Christianity are maintained sociologically, drawing a comparison between the interpretation of homosexuality produced within the institutional scope of the largest Brazilian Christian branches and the perception of LGBTQIA+ individuals who identify with such religious institutions. The research had as its starting point the field work in a digital environment, through the observation of the protected ones in the social networks by LGBTQIA+ individuals who defend and affirm their religious identity and use such platforms to promote spaces of reception, formation, and confrontation to the institutions of the which they are part, as well as their respective leaders. The selected universe encompasses Catholics, Evangelicals, especially members of the Adventist Church, and spiritists, with a view to understanding their role in social media, focusing on their speeches, in order to compare them with the official authorities of the religious institutions that they belong to, highlighting the instruments and discursive mobilized to pressured changes in them. Thus, it points to the centrality of religious experience in the construction of life narratives and discourses of these Christians.
