The main objective of this study is to analyze the impacts of the changes inlabor legislation in 2017 on the job market in São Paulo, considering the perspective of occupation level, income, and social vulnerability. To achieve this, a methodology was employed, including a literature review on the subject, documentary analysis of laws and regulations related to labor reform, and statistical analysis of secondary data concerning the jobmarket in the state of São Paulo. The guiding question of this research is: What is the impact ofchanges resulting from labor legislation on the job market in the state of São Paulo, considering the implications for occupation level, income, and social vulnerability between 2017 and 2021? Based on this central question, efforts were made to identify the main changes brought about by labor reform and how they directly affected workers in São Paulo. This work contributes to the discussion on labor reform and its social impacts, providing a detailed overview of the job market in São Paulo during the analyzed period. The findings highlight the need for public policies that promote social justice and reduce inequalities in the job market.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um estudo sobre diferentes arquiteturas para aplicações mobile na nuvem(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Cardozo, João Vitor Fidelis; Lucrédio, Daniel; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9090396559596221In the current technological scenario, there is a significant demand in the software market for the development of applications, whether they are web or mobile. With the emergence of cloud computing, a variety of architectures with different proposals and technologies have also been revealed. This panorama offers system developers access to various technological combinations, raising questions about the choice of the best set and consequently, the construction of the best architecture. The objective of this research was to analyze and compare three different software architectures for mobile applications prepared to be hosted in the cloud, focusing on specific evaluation criteria. Initially, the evaluation was carried out in terms of modifiability, that is, the software's capacity to be modified or adapted to specific situations was measured, for example, the need to include a non-existent field in the relational and non-relational database. Subsequently, the software's reliability was evaluated with an emphasis on fault tolerance, analyzing how the product maintains the consistency of information in the presence of potential issues. Finally, security, focused on confidentiality, was also investigated to understand the degree to which the system ensures that data is exclusively accessible only to properly authorized individuals. This study also considered the advantages of having one's own back-end and the use of a messaging service, although these criteria were not analyzed with the same systematic rigor as the others. Thus, after making comparisons based on the established criteria, results were obtained that empirically describe the positive and negative aspects of each proposed architecture, in order to provide choices based on these aspects, thus assisting in the decision on which architecture to use in the software development process for mobile devices with cloud technologies. Overall, the results of the comparison indicated that direct access to a managed storage service, such as Google Firebase's Firestore, enhances modifiability and offers more efficient management for handling request failures, in addition to ensuring the confidentiality of user information. On the other hand, the use of one's own back-end provides total control over the infrastructure and code, as well as optimizing the application's long-term costs. Finally, it is highlighted that the use of a messaging service can provide greater scalability and high data availability.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Síntese de nanopartículas de ZrO2/SO42- e ZrO2/Fe3+ por método solvotérmico e aplicação na catálise de reações de esterificação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Pegoraro, Guilherme Manassés; Mambrini, Giovanni Pimenta; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7723027354150918; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8943-5876; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3064841153326789; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9075-7952With the advent of nanotechnology and the production of nanostructured materials, research in recent decades has identified that it is often possible to improve the physical-chemical properties of materials by changing their scale. Zirconium oxide (ZrO2), studied in this work, presents catalytic properties for some chemical reactions. When producing nanoparticles of this material, the specific surface area is increased, where catalysis occurs. Among the catalyzed reactions, esterification stands out, which is relevant to produce biodiesel as a renewable alternative to fossil fuels. Pure, sulfated or iron(III) doped zirconium oxide were synthesized by the solvothermal route with and without microwave incidence. Both synthesis routes allowed obtaining powders with similar yields, and sulfate functionalization was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). This technique also provided evidence that the washing steps were not able to eliminate all the organic residue adsorbed on ZrO2. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) results indicated that the material was highly agglomerated, but that there were particles smaller than a few micrometers. After analysis by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), there was a strong indication of the formation of the desired material, as well as the presence of iron(III) as a dopant and the presence of carbon and chlorine in the material, coming from the synthesis route. X-ray diffractometry (XRD) showed that the samples synthesized on the heating plate crystallized in the tetragonal structure with an average crystallite size varying between 2 and 7 nm, while with microwave incidence there was an amorphous structure. The ideal calcination parameters were determined with the XRD technique, noting that calcination for 30 minutes at 500 ºC was enough for crystallization in the tetragonal phase, doubling the crystallite size of some samples, varying between 7 and 16 nm, in addition to eliminating the adsorbed residues. The nanoparticles were applied in the catalysis of the esterification between oleic acid and methanol or ethanol at 60 ºC. The conversion rates were determined through the elaboration of calibration curves and the deconvolution of carbonyl peaks in the infrared spectra of the reaction products. Catalytic activity was noted for practically all pure, functionalized and doped samples, with iron(III) doped samples having the best performance, such as ZrO2/Fe3+ sample produced with the heating plate, with 86.3% conversion.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Escola em tempos de pandemia: atendimento de crianças com transtorno do espectro autista(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Santos, Tatiane Cristina Gomes Franco dos; Camargo, Andréia Regina de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0936098182171676; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1158-2814; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2560680553730336; https://orcid.org/0009-0004-8021-104XThis course completion work seeks a reflective approach to education in times of the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences in the learning process of students with au-tism spectrum disorder (ASD). Approximately 75% of diagnosed bladder tumors are non-muscle invasive, and transurethral resection followed by instillation of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) is recommended as treatment. To increase the adjuvant potential of BCG, our research group developed a recombinant BCG strain (rBCG) expressing detoxified pertussis toxin S1 (rBCG-S1PT). Previous results from the group showed that mice with bladder tumors treated with rBCG-S1PT had longer survival than mice treated with native BCG. However, little is known about the immune response associated with this anti-tumor protection. In this project, we set out to characterize the anti-tumor effect promoted by rBCG-S1PT in a murine model of heterotopic bladder tumors. To this end, murine urothelial carcinoma cells (MB49) were implanted subcutaneously into the direct flank of female C57BL-6 mice (day "zero" - D0), which were then treated with three cycles of immunotherapy (BCG or rBCG-S1PT) via the peritumoral/intratumoral route on day 1 (D1), D8 and D15. Tumor volume was measured throughout the experiment to assess tumor progression. Seven days after the last treatment (D22), mice were euthanized to collect tumors and spleens to assess the immune response of these anatomical sites. As previously observed, the rBCG-S1PT strain showed greater tumor control potential compared to the parental BCG. Using flow cytometry, we analyzed the immune populations in the spleen and tumors and observed a better inflammatory response induced by rBCG-S1PT compared to the BCG group and the untreated group, with emphasis on 1) a lower frequency of regulatory T cells in the spleen and tumor; 2) a greater activation of CD4 and CD8 T lymphocytes in the spleen and tumor. 3) higher frequency of mature and activated NK cells in the spleen. Our results suggest that immunotherapy with rBCG-S1PT positively modulates the response of T lymphocytes and NK cells while controlling the immunosuppression mediated by regulatory T cells, resulting in the potentiation of the immunotherapeutic effect of rBCG-S1PT in tumor control.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Projeto e implementação de um ambiente de capacitação em computação em nuvem com virtualização(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Oliveira, Miguel Antonio de; Guardia, Hélio Crestana; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1780902767520967; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9185884864965247OpenStack-based cloud computing platforms are notoriously complex to deploy, requiring the efforts of operators who are familiar with the process and its interactions with the surrounding environment. In particular, environments designed around the training of new operators suffer from high demand of new deployments for use in practical experimentation. With that in mind, the deployment process, as well as applicable automation techniques, are analyzed, aiming to simplify workflows and increase the efficiency of environments which require redeployment without human interaction, with a particular focus around OpenStack clouds hosted on other cloud platforms. Insights are gathered around the procedure and automation tool usages, future usage suggestions, and how these influenced the built environment’s final state.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Os jovens, a ciência e a biodiversidade: um estudo dos interesses de estudantes a partir de um recorte de um município do interior de SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Marcelino, João Vítor de Andrade; Silva, Fernanda Keila Marinho da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6390725197649567; Alitto, Renata Aparecida dos Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5032799058159962; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1311984827958648The aim of this final course project was to collect data on the interests of students from a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo in relation to biodiversity education. This study is an excerpt from a larger and more comprehensive project entitled “BIOTA-FAPESP Program in basic education: possibilities for curricular integration”, which aimed to develop teaching actions about Brazil's biological heritage. As part of an ongoing effort to characterize young students' perceptions of science and technology, the project identified data indicating a low level of interest in local biodiversity among students in southeastern Brazil. This data is consistent with other research findings that also indicate a low level of knowledge on this topic among this group of students. In this sense, trying to understand the interests of these students in order to support future educational actions would be an alternative to overcome this indifference to the topic. In this way, a quantitative questionnaire, known as the Brazil Barometer, was used to assess young people's attitudes towards science and technology. The survey was conducted in the second semester of 2022 at three different schools, with 138 students aged 15 participating. The results suggest that there is a high interest in human biology content, such as the study of diseases and medicinal herbs, as well as a high willingness to learn about plant, animal and microscopic diversity through the lens of danger and curiosity. Given these data, it is necessary to reflect on pedagogical alternatives that make the teaching of biodiversity more interesting for students and allow them to obtain enough information to develop an effective attitude towards the protection and conservation of the local environment.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Implicações das relações interprofissionais no trabalho da (o) enfermeira (o) da Atenção Primária à Saúde(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Valle, Carla Cristina Del; Silva, Jaqueline Alcântara Marcelino da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8311079340428705; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8307-8609; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5920136863231272; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9192-5273Interprofessional relationships in the context of Primary Health Care (PHC) can be recognized from the organization of the health work process. Interprofessional practice is essential for effective, comprehensive healthcare, recognizing the health needs and vulnerabilities of the population. The nurse's role is considered to be teamwork, the articulation and coordination of care, the centrality of patient care and the identification of health needs and vulnerabilities. Objective: To understand, from the nurse's perspective, how interprofessional relationships occur in the context of PHC; how nurses recognize interprofessional work and how it influences their work; to investigate how the coronavirus pandemic has interfered with interprofessional work in PHC. Method: A descriptive, qualitative study was carried out in a medium-sized municipality in the state of São Paulo, with nurses working in PHC. Semi-structured interviews were conducted and then transcribed and their thematic content analyzed in the light of the work process and the attributes of interprofessional practice. This study followed the ethical precepts for research with human beings. Results: Interviews were conducted with twelve nurses, whose data enabled the construction of three thematic categories: the work of nurses and their role in integrated or fragmented care management: care and administrative dimensions; Interprofessionality and PHC: persistent weaknesses and difficulties; the coronavirus pandemic affecting interprofessional working relationships. Conclusion: In PHC health care, the role of the nurse stands out, with an emphasis on administrative activities in their work process. Interprofessional work is manifested through partnership, mutual support, bonding and communication, but is hampered by a lack of engagement, vertical and centralized action. The COVID-19 pandemic has altered working relationships, with workers falling ill and becoming overworked. The interprofessional collaboration to strengthen working relationships during the pandemic stands out, an aspect that requires constant investment to move towards more integrated practices.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Teacher training: abp with a focus on the eja student life project via distance learning(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Oliveira, Laôr Fernandes de; Chida, Rossana Ishii; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5479838101146249; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1575405346123066; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1108-1152This article aims to present the training of Distance Learning Youth and Adult Education teachers at Sesi-SP regarding the possibility of working with students’ life projects, through Project-Based Learning (PBL). The versatility of properties exhibited by these alloys, especially Ti-6Al-4V alloys, makes them attractive for a range of applications, even sparking interest for potential use in offshore oil exploration structures. However, titanium alloys are susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement when exposed to environments containing high concentrations of hydrogen. Structural materials in maritime environments are typically subjected to cathodic protection by impressed current to prevent corrosion. A potential side effect of cathodic protection is the release of hydrogen at the interface between the protected metal and the electrolyte in contact with it, due to hydrogen evolution reactions, which can lead the protected metal to absorb significant amounts of hydrogen. This is a possible limiting factor for the use of titanium alloys in maritime structures. This study aimed to investigate the influence of hydrogen presence on the static mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V ELI alloy, especially ductility, to evaluate the susceptibility of this alloy to hydrogen embrittlement. For this purpose, specimens of the study material were subjected to hydrogenation processes for different periods, and subsequently, their mechanical properties were determined through a low-strain rate tensile test. The results of the tensile tests, however, were similar for the non-hydrogenated material and the specimens hydrogenated for different periods, indicating that the hydrogenated specimens did not absorb sufficient amounts of hydrogen to cause embrittlement under the hydrogenation conditions applied in this study.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Levantamento do meio físico e classificação de terras pelo Sistema de Capacidade de Uso do Solo no CCA/UFSCar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Lima, Maria Isabel de Oliveira; Oliveira, Anna Hoffmann; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6666918682171234; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5479-8359; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3053038876503434Investigating the natural propensity for land use is extremely important, especially in environments subject to intense human action. When the soil's productive capacity conditions are not taken into account, and it is used inappropriately, underutilization or overutilization may occur, resulting in inefficiency or severe damage. From this perspective, the objective of the work was to determine the land use capacity at the Agricultural Sciences Center (CCA) of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Araras campus. The potential of the land was assessed through information on the morphological, physical and chemical attributes of the soil made available in the CCA's detailed pedological survey, in addition to the ultra-detailed planialtimetric survey and field observations. The classification method adopted was the Land Use Capability System, which considers effective depth, texture, permeability, specific limiting factors, slope, erosion and current use, among others, in order to identify soils according to their greatest limitation. Based on the analyses, maps of current land use, land use potential and land use suitability were created. It was found that the entire area falls into Group A, whose intensity of use accommodates annual and perennial crops, pastures, reforestation and wildlife. There are, however, differences regarding soil conservation needs, verified between the classes present. On the campus there is a predominance of class III (94.14% of the total area of classified land), indicating areas prone to complex conservation and/or improvement problems; in class II, with simpler problems, there is 2.31%; with the remainder (3.54%) presenting serious problems related to soil conservation. In addition to the 23.78% of the total area of classified land occupied by Permanent Preservation Area (APP) and Legal Reserve (RL), in more than half of the area (67.59%) the land use is adequate to its capacity. There is usage above and below capacity at 3.54% and 5.09%, respectively. Regarding the sustainability of land use in the CCA/UFSCar, it is recommended for overused areas, currently under sugarcane cultivation, the adoption of less intensive soil management, depending on their limitations, or even the allocation of area for conservation, in addition to the implementation of recovery and erosion control practices. Underutilized soils, on the other hand, can be exploited to their maximum potential, which includes annual cultivation and more intensive management. For soils that are in their appropriate use, it is recommended the adoption and/or maintenance of conservation practices, due to the predominant use capacity class (III) on the campus, in order to guarantee sustainable management of the soil resource and the prevention of degradation of water resources.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O latifúndio como forma e a exclusão como regra: obstáculos à reforma agrária no Brasil a partir do caso do acampamento Quilombo Campo Grande(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Corrêa Junior, Jadir Eduardo; Aly Junior, Osvaldo; Carvalho, Joelson Gonçalves de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2861397369412900; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9927342599524750; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0141039743607067; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1398-2424; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9509-5791; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4894-1400Este artigo se propõe a investigar a luta pela terra das famílias acampadas no Quilombo Campo Grande, localizado em Campo do Meio, Minas Gerais, com o intuito de lançar luz aos desafios e barreiras que essas famílias enfrentaram ao lutar por terra e pela reforma agrária no Brasil. To achieve this, a specific insulating ceramic composition was developed, and its properties were evaluated in the green and post-sintering states. The results were compared with the literature and indicated that the approach adopted in this work, associating the direct foaming process with the application of green foams, allowed for an innovative approach to various issues in today's society. The in-situ sintering of ceramic foams has the potential to change the current scenario of refractory insulation, considering that this processing step is the most costly in terms of energy, economy, and environment. Furthermore, the Al2O3-CaO system of the ceramic foams in this work presents considerable advantages when compared to the current Al2O3-SiO2 fiber-based composition of commercially available materials, significantly increasing the durability of insulating linings and the thermal efficiency of high-temperature furnaces. This study confirmed these concepts by verifying the good insulating performance of the green ceramic foams installed as a hot-face lining in the Lindberg Blue M furnace at the Alcoa-GEMM laboratory as a proof of concept.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, MC Daleste - Mataram o Pobre Loco: análise do documentário Globoplay no contexto da plataformização do audiovisual(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Ferreira, Guilherme Belarmino; Massarolo, João Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3308336910966465; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5083-1601; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2058041487349115; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8413-3171The study examines the narrative, aesthetics, and themes of the documentary "MC Daleste - Mataram o Pobre Loco" (2024), an original production by Globoplay in the true crime genre which investigates the unresolved 2013 murder of the funk singer MC Daleste. The research reflects on the relevance of the true crime genre in the scenario of competition among national and global platforms, known as the Streaming War, and analyzes Globo's strategic shift in producing and distributing audiovisual content in the context of digital convergence and platformization. By tracing the origins and providing a historical overview of Globo's evolution from a television content producer and broadcaster to a mediatech company—a company that leverages technological tools and platforms to produce, store, and distribute content while collecting and analyzing data to adapt to changing consumer behaviors and maintain relevance—the author highlights the documentary's role as a vital tool for audience acquisition and retention in the streaming era. The conclusion suggests that evolving consumption habits are likely to drive documentaries to increasingly adopt narrative, aesthetic, and promotional techniques commonly associated with fictional cinema.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um estudo sobre o uso de módulos core em testes automatizados de aplicações Node.js(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Oliveira Filho, Julio Cesar dos Santos; Endo, André Takeshi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4221336619791961; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8737-1749; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4221336619791961; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8737-1749With the continuous advancement of web applications, understanding their behaviors and key operations is indispensable for improving the technologies used. This study focuses on the analysis of asynchronous functions in test cases of a set of real applications using Node.js. Specifically, the core modules of Node.js were studied, exploring their functions and asynchronous patterns. Initially, Node.js projects were selected for analysis based on defined criteria. Subsequently, the projects' tests were executed by a prototype, and their asynchronous functions were documented in JSON records. Finally, a tool for reading these records was built, aiming to analyze and generate new data for this work, transcribed in the form of spreadsheets and charts. From a large amount of generated data, four research questions related to the use of core modules, the proportion of each core module in relation to the total asynchronous functions, the most frequent asynchronous patterns, and the most used functions by modules were answered. In conclusion, a certain pattern of use of asynchronous functions was observed, with some modules being preferred over others. Moreover, a significant disparity between the two most used asynchronous patterns was identified, with the first showing considerably greater use than the second.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise da microestrutura, formação de fases e variação de dureza de ligas al-cu-li nas condições consolidada por fricção e tratada termicamente por envelhecimento(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Martinez, Fellipe; Gargarella, Piter; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4641435644243916; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4445-5819; Spinelli, José Eduardo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8882038118634925; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0611-1038Solid state materials processing is a technique that combines severe plastic deformation with heat generation in order to produce a material with advanced mechanical properties, such as Al-Cu-Li alloys for aeronautical applications, at a low energy cost. One of these processes is friction consolidation, which consists of producing consolidated disks of metal powder or chips, which serve as raw material for other techniques, such as friction extrusion or friction surfacing. In the process, a die is pressed against a rotating container containing metal powder, generating heat due to friction, and severe plastic deformation occurs due to the rotation. In this regard, this work aimed to study Al6CuXLi alloy disks, with X = 2, 4 and 6 wt% of lithium, consolidated via friction consolidation with different process times: 20 s, 40 s and 60 s. First, a microstructural analysis was carried out via optical microscopy of three samples of an Al6Cu2Li alloy, varying the process time between 20 s, 40 s and 60 s. Subsequently, the process time was fixed at 60 s, but the lithium content of the alloys was varied by three levels: 2%, 4% and 6%, and the microstructures of the resulting samples were analyzed, also via optical microscopy. It was observed that the six samples produced had a heterogeneous microstructure, showing a consolidated part, a partially consolidated part and a part that was only compacted, indicating variations in the temperature gradient and plastic deformation with the height of the sample. All samples were then subjected to Vickers microhardness tests, resulting in six different maps, which showed that the hardness followed the same trend as the microstructure, where the fully consolidated parts of the disk had higher hardness values, showing heterogeneity in the mechanical properties. This was due to the greater influence of precipitation hardening and grain refining mechanisms in the regions with greater consolidation. Subsequently, a heat treatment was carried out on one of the samples, in order to study the aging profile and determine the approximate aging time corresponding to the microhardness peak. Finally, an X-ray diffraction analysis was carried out to verify the presence of hardening precipitates in the three alloys, indicating the formation of δ' and T1 precipitates in all three.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise comparativa de algoritmos de construção de grafos e técnicas de incorporação de palavras na análise de sentimentos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Mengaldo, Bruno Fonseca; Valejo, Alan Demétrius Baria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9546164790189830Sentiment analysis has become a crucial tool for understanding public perception in various areas, such as marketing, politics, and social media. It allows the extraction of valuable insights from large volumes of text, like consumer reviews or opinions expressed on social networks. Understanding the sentiment behind the words can guide business strategies, political campaigns, and even enhance user interaction. A common approach in sentiment analysis involves the application of machine learning techniques, which can range from simple rule-based methods to complex natural language processing models. Recently, with the advancement of artificial intelligence, more sophisticated methods have emerged that leverage not just textual content, but also the structural relationships of the data. With that said, the goal of this work is to conduct a comparative analysis of semi-supervised classification algorithms in graphs. These algorithms are particularly useful when there is a limited amount of labeled data available, a common situation in sentiment analysis due to the cost and effort required for manual annotation of large datasets. The experimental analysis explores the quality of graphs generated from different graph construction algorithms in relation to different word embeddings representations.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Impacto ambiental do uso de óxido de zinco em formulações de borracha: estudo crítico e possíveis soluções(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Martini, João Octávio Camillo de; Scuracchio, Carlos Henrique; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0896060959622431Elastomers are a class of polymeric materials characterized by their high elasticity and ability to resist deformation and return to their initial state. Rubbers play an important role in the automobile, aeronautics, civil construction, medical, and consumer goods industries, with pneumatic products, inner tubes, sealing rings, soles, and coatings being some of the main applications. The properties of elastomers depend heavily on the vulcanization process, responsible for creating a network of cross-links by adding sulfur. Among the various additives used to ensure efficient vulcanization and a good set of properties, the use of zinc oxide as a process activator stands out. Although used in small quantities, the large volume of elastomeric products, mainly tires, means that global production of zinc oxide reaches 50 million tons. Although it plays a fundamental role in the production of elastomers, zinc oxide is associated with environmental problems, especially in aquatic environments. Because of this, alternatives are being sought to reduce or eliminate its use. In this work, a literature review was carried out to compare possible solutions to eliminate or reduce the use of zinc oxide. The total reduction of zinc oxide is unlikely, so solutions that use additional metal oxides as co-activators, silica nanoparticles or carbon are promising options to highly reduce the zinc oxide content in rubber formulations.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Uma análise comparativa de três contos maravilhosos e suas ilustrações: a temática da violência e do medo em João e Maria, Chapeuzinho Vermelho e Rapunzel(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Nossack, Karin; Souza, Geraldo Tadeu; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3516168011612531; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1352-0027; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7945447196255631; https://orcid.org/0009-0000-3444-9656This work has as the general objective to compare the tales João e Maria, Chapeuzinho Vermelho e Rapunzel written by de Grimm Brothers with the Conta pra mim program version, including the ilustrations. As theorical fundamentation, we will be based at authoers as Tatar (2004), Bombonato (2022), Discini (2002), Nascimento (2022), Soares (2022) e Ramalhete (2020), among others. Our specific objective is to understand the impacts that the violence and fear themes in the Grimm Brothers tales cause in children from their reading and listening, and the strategies to soften these themes at the adaptions from the Conta pra mim program of Política Nacional de Alfabetização. Another specific objective is to present these tales storytelling at the Youtube channel Fafá conta histórias authored by the actress Flávia Scherner. The search makes a great contribution to awake the importance that the children’s literature has a role in forming values and critical citizens.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Panorama do setor leiteiro antes, durante e depois da pandemia da covid-19(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-01) Vaurof, Marcos Vinicius Ianuxauskas; Stipp, Danilo Tancler; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2930975168886154; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9577-2446Milk is one of the most relevant agricultural commodities, being one of the five most traded products, in volume and value. Currently, Brazil plays a significant role in the production of the product worldwide, occupying third place, behind only the United States and India. Knowing this relevance to national agribusiness, this work sought, through a bibliographic review, to evaluate the impacts of COVID-19 on the panorama of the dairy sector and aimed to evaluate the visible differences in each period, before, during and post-pandemic. The methodology used was research on different references including articles, monographs, theses, periodicals and technical circulars and based on the work of Dias (1994) who evaluated the panorama of the dairy sector according to production, import and export, consumption and market prices. It can be concluded that there were significant changes in all evaluated fields, fulfilling the initially proposed objective.
