This study aims to comprehend the key aspects that each group of individuals, segmented based on their tenure, values most, exploring how experience and professional trajectory can influence worker perceptions. To achieve this goal, the scientific methodology of a case study is employed, conducting a quantitative survey via Google Forms with 48 participants, followed by qualitative interviews. The data analysis reveals consensus on aspects such as benefits and operational ease, but notable disagreements on salary, promotions, supervision, among others, highlight critical areas that require attention and improvements to align worker perceptions with organizational practices.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Tendências educacionais em históricos sobre o Ensino de Ciências: a formação de conceitos científicos e o Ensino de Física(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Pires, Higor Gustavo; Furlan, Elaine Gomes Matheus; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3179865576965852Learning scientific concepts, dependent on factors internal and external to the learner, requires material resources and teaching actions that are constantly rethought, subsidized by assessment. Through ideas developed in Russian Psychology, such as those of Vygotsky and Galperin, in correlation with the potential of neuroscientific advances in recent decades, this bibliographic research is based, which brought together theses and dissertations published from 1972 to 1995 that focus on the history of Teaching of Science since 1960. Furthermore, the record of Physics Teaching is specifically analyzed, through works published from 1972 to 2006 and which deal with 1960 onwards, with the aim of an understanding based on Discursive Textual Analysis. The results show educational trends regarding concerns, practices and material means of teaching Physicslistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Bases bioquímicas e funcionais dos mecanismos de resistência do ensitrelvir e nirmatrelvir contra polimorfismos naturais protease principal de SARS-CoV-2(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Silva, Ellen Sousa; Fuentes, Andrea Soares da Costa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2426157257540389; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7379-1136; Godoy, André Schutzer de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6492348853291718; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7154-1184; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3595531101532885The pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has brought various challenges to society, affecting the world socially and economically. After the first cases of COVID-19 were recorded in China, the virus spread rapidly, leading millions of people to death. Due to the accelerated spread of the virus, the scientific community in various countries turned to the development of vaccines and antivirals, resulting in the rapid approval of several vaccine candidates. Even in the context of vaccine existence, the search for therapeutic alternatives such as antivirals is necessary and essential, as vaccine coverage and efficacy suggest that cases of COVID-19 will still continue to occur. The main viral protease (Mpro) is a key enzyme for the viral cycle and one of the most promising targets for drug development. Mpro inhibitors, nirmatrelvir and ensitrelvir, demonstrate significant potential in the treatment of viral infection. Despite their high efficiencies against wild-type Mpro, very little is known about how mutations in the enzyme's active site could generate resistance to these antivirals. In this context, we identified fourteen mutations in genomic databases that exist within the range of nirmatrelvir and ensitrelvir action and may affect their activity. Using molecular biology and biochemical techniques, we produced the recombinant version of all these unique mutants. All proteins were purified using standard techniques. We performed enzymatic kinetic characterization for all Mpro mutants and compared them to the wild type. Additionally, we tested the potency of the antivirals against each of the mutants to identify possible resistant mutants. Nirmatrelvir maintained its efficacy against most of the evaluated polymorphisms, although mutants Q189K and G143S showed significant resistance, with an increase in Ki of 16.4 and 147.7, respectively, compared to the wild type. Regarding ensitrelvir, a decrease in inhibition constants was observed for the M49I, G143S, and R188S polymorphisms, but not for Q189K, indicating a differentiated resistance pattern between the inhibitors. Thus, these results are crucial both for monitoring the emergence of resistant variants of SARS-CoV-2 and for the development of more effective treatment strategies if these mutations evolve into variants of concern.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Sexualidade e tabus sexuais: desejo, formação e cicatrizes(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Nascimento, Mauro Antônio do; Zuin, Antônio Álvaro Soares; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5543562307373287; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0919147872796491This research sought to understand a priori sexual desire and a posteriori taboos. In this trajectory, the concept of enlarged sexuality was evidenced, which, according to Laplanche (2018), was the main discovery of psychoanalysis. By bringing this concept closer to the "Eros of the divine Plato", Freud revealed the different destinies of the drives. The evidence, found throughout this research work, was then analyzed in the light of the conceptions of the Critical Theory of Society. It was identified, in this way, that Eros is a formative principle, however, it was verified, in the unfolding of this analytical work, that sexual taboos have become principles of deformation of individuals. Therefore, for a better understanding of taboos, we chose to conceptualize the fundamental taboos as primary and the sexual taboos as secondary. This distinction is crucial, because the fundamental taboos have become civilizing principles and the repression that comes from the primary taboos is necessary, as Freud considered, for civilizational existence. However, by expanding sexual restrictions, sexual taboos triggered a process of regression to barbarism. In fact, the acts of extreme violence have transformed human daily life into a scene of horror. Based on Freudian theory, we sought to understand the genesis of violence. Thus, by analyzing Eros and its antithetical forces, a consistent theory for understanding the human condition was found. Thus, when referring to the analysis of the concept of false projection or "pathic projection", carried out by Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer, the psychic mechanisms of disqualification of the other in their human condition were evidenced and, therefore, it was possible to identify the resources mobilized by fascists to annihilate differences.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Influência de nanopartículas de celulose na autoagregação de sais de bile(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Souza, Davi Siqueira da Silva de; Paula, Kelly Roberta Francisco Muruci de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0422652925722673; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6597602269486880; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5836-2552Surfactant self-aggregates can exhibit pronounced viscoelasticity, which can be modulated according to the addition of different molecules to the medium in which they are inserted. In this work, the effect of adding cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) or cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs), synthesized by acid hydrolysis with sulfuric acid and TEMPO-mediated oxidation, respectively, was studied on self-aggregates of sodium deoxycholate (NaDC) and/or or sodium taurodeoxycholate (NaTDC) in aqueous medium, in different proportions of surfactant/nanocellulose. The size of NaTDC/nanocellulose aggregates increased with nanocellulose addition and were larger than NaDC/nanocellulose and NaDC/NaTDC/nanocellulose samples, respectively. Zeta potential (ZP) data indicated the colloidal stability increased with nanocellulose concentration increasing. Samples containing CNFs were more stable and binary equimolar (50 mM) bile salt systems with CNCs or CNFs was more stable than the ones containing a unique bile salt. The non-Newtonian behavior of fluids was observed since systems presented shear thinning and/or shear thickening phenomena. The dynamic frequency assay demonstrated more viscoelastic systems and a gel-like behavior for the ones containing CNFs. Aggregates of the equimolar NaDC/NaTDC sample with 4.80 g/L CNF have more entanglements, since they have a higher elastic modulus value on the plateau, G0, (2011 Pas) being around 10 (210.1 Pas) and 90 (22.58 Pas) times higher than G0 of the analogous systems of NaDC/CNF and NaTDC/CNF, respectively. Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) curves showed the formation of more elongated cylinders for aggregates containing CNFs and shorter ones for those containing CNCs. NaTDC/CNF aggregates are the shortest and the NaDC/NaTDC/CNF aggregates are the longest. More elongated cylindrical aggregates favor entanglements between aggregates and the formation of stronger gels, and intermolecular interactions played an important role in this. Therefore, these new materials are part of a current context for the development of systems aimed at application as rheological modifiers for use in paints and encapsulation/controlled release of interesting molecules, important for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Política monetária e crédito de custeio rural: uma análise entre 2013 e 2023(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Santos, Gabriel Branco de Almeida; Carrara, Aniela Fagundes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2348376949393246; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3131-2344O credit allocated to the rural sector plays a significant role in fostering the agricultural sector, being essential to boost production, productivity, and sustainability of rural activities. In this context, the present study aims to quantify the relationship between monetary policy and credit provided for rural financing, with the goal of understanding the magnitude of the relationship between variables that represent and are directly impacted by monetary policy and the amount allocated for such credit modality. To achieve this, a model was structured with variables representative of the theme, and an estimation was carried out through Vector Error Correction Models (VECM). As a result, it can be observed that economic growth seems to be more important for the provision of rural financing for operating expenses than the movements of the country's main monetary policy instrument.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento de crianças com Trissomia 21: relação com o suporte social e a satisfação parental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Montes, Kananda Fernanda; Cia, Fabiana; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5999108571365402; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0155-3331; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8673260963631826; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4787-2968Biological and external factors influence child development. Trisomy 21 is the most common biological alteration in humans, characterized as a genetically determined condition. Its particular characteristics can compromise the child's development, which in turn can cause changes in family dynamics. With this in mind, this study aimed to: (a) describe and relate social support and family parental satisfaction with the development of children with Trisomy 21 and (b) describe and relate sociodemographic data with child development, social support and family parental satisfaction of families of children with Trisomy 21. The participants in this study were 20 people responsible for children with Trisomy 21, aged between one and five years and 11 months. The evaluation measures were: Brazil Criteria Questionnaire, Social Support Questionnaire, Parental Satisfaction Scale, Operationalized Portage Inventory (OPI) and semi-structured interviews. The data was collected remotely, with the interview being the only instrument carried out asynchronously; the others were carried out in synchronous meetings. The qualitative data was obtained from the interview and the other instruments provided quantitative data which was analyzed using descriptive methods with the use of measures of central tendency and dispersion. Pearson's correlation test was used to correlate the variables. The main results were that none of the participants reported dissatisfaction with their parental role and, as a result, the level of parental satisfaction was high. The spouse was the most frequently mentioned support person and the items with the highest satisfaction averages were related to the perspective of the support people on the participants. The IPO data showed that the area of socialization was the one with the highest number of affirmative responses, while language was the area with the lowest performance by children with T21. Regarding correlations, parental satisfaction showed a positive correlation with all the areas of the IPO, and social support showed that the greater the number of supportive people, the better the development shown by the child with T21 in the areas of socialization and language. The age of the child revealed that the older the child, the lower the development in the areas of socialization, cognition, self-care and motor development. Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy were the services that children with T21 received the most and psychological support was the service most requested by parents. The data from this study helps families to understand the impact that family variables have on the development of children with T21, as well as supporting early intervention programs with data on performance in each of the areas of child development.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise do potencial e das limitações de constituição de Unidades de Vizinhança: o caso de Brasília (DF)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Ribeiro, Lucas Brunheroto; Silva, Sandra Regina Mota; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9973870842834947; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5147-6154; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0375626719557508Given the indicators of urban growth, the conditions needed to achieve a better quality of life are the subject of interest in urban planning theory and practice, both for academic reflection and for public administrations. In view of this relevance, various urban planning experiments have been developed over the years to discuss the well-being of urban life and, among the different propositional currents, the idea-concept of Neighborhood Unity (UV), which will be addressed in this monograph. Therefore, the main objective of this work was to study the potential and limitations of the constitution of Neighborhood Units. As a case study, this work investigated an urban sector of the city of Brasília - Federal District, in this case, Asa Norte. This choice was made because of some of the characteristics of Brasília's housing sectors, configured in the North and South Wings, which have the potential to assimilate the requirements of this idea-concept. The urban conditions selected as criteria for analysis were the morphology, land use and urban mobility of the Superblocks. The analyses carried out indicated that the Superblocks have a lot of potential to constitute a Neighborhood Unit (NVU), although there are aspects that need to be better qualified.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeitos de clareadores ópticos, ultrassonoterapia e sonoforese para a fotobiomodulação: ensaio clínico randomizado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Dutra, Otávio Bernardes; Ferraresi, Cleber; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9593811257950561; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1361-8390; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2384540071310736Introduction: Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) consists of the application of light in the range from red to near infrared for therapeutic purposes. The effects of PBMT on biological tissues depend on light-tissue interactions, which in turn depend on the light penetration through human skin. Several studies have investigated the effects of optical clearing agents (OCAs); chemical penetration enhancers (CPEs); and physical-based approaches, such as ultrasound (US), to attenuate the reflection and scattering of light in biological tissues and thus increase the depth of light penetration. However, there are no studies in humans that have combined these approaches, as well as other important factors such as skin color (phototype) and age, which possibly also impact the light penetration. Objective: Verify if the application of a mixture of OCA-CPE, as well as US and Sonophoresis (US + OCA-CPE) improves the light penetration of PBMT through the skin of human. Methodology: This is study is a randomized clinical trial. Sixty-eight men voluntarily participated in the study, allocated into 6 groups based on their skin phototype and age. Volunteers underwent PBMT applied in the vastus medialis region of both limbs in combination with: 1) application of OCA-CPE, 2) US and 3) Results: Significant correlations (p<0.05) were found between light penetration and skin phototype. Conclusion: The three proposed interventions (OCA-IPQ, US and Sonophoresis) did not show significant effects in facilitating the penetration of red (660 nm) and infrared (808 nm) light in the region of the vastus medialis muscle of the thigh in young and older men. However, we found that phototype significantly influences the amount of light that penetrates the skin.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efetividade e razão ótima do hedge de soja em grão com o contrato futuro de soja FOB Santos: uma análise para Sorriso (MT) e Rio Verde (GO)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Martins, Thaís de Lima; Carrara, Aniela Fagundes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2348376949393246; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3131-2344The production and marketing of soybeans unfold in an environment where prices are shaped by a complex and volatile international market, influenced by various factors beyond purely economic ones, such as climate change. This makes risk management imperative for this activity. In this context, the present study explored the effectiveness and optimal hedging ratio of soybeans through the new FOB Santos soybean futures contract launched by B3 in November 2021, specifically for Sorriso (MT) and Rio Verde (GO). The aim was to assess the performance of this price risk management mechanism in two locations that are prominent in soybean production. To achieve this objective, historical series of soybean trading prices in both physical and futures markets were utilized. The analyses included checking for stationarity and cointegration of the series, and the main estimation was carried out using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) in five empirically defined models to reduce the price variability of the product being protected. Similar results in terms of effectiveness and hedge protection were observed between the two studied locations, albeit at relatively low levels compared to studies conducted for other futures contracts.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A abordagem de Educação Ambiental na disciplina de Ciências: uma análise do Currículo Paulista no Ensino Fundamental à luz da Educação Ambiental Crítico-Transformadora via Tema Gerador(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Lobo, Rafael Pereira; Torres, Juliana Rezende; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3083345943491817; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4598-6702; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1841166373100276The humanity is currently experiencing an environmental crisis. In order for this situation to be reversed, there needs to be a change in the way we see our relationship with the environment, for example the care for nature, aiming to conserve its resources, being the Environmental Education (EA) one of the possible means to achieve this objective, as it has the potential to bring an ecological sensitivity, in addition to a critical vision in relation to environmental contradictions and an emancipation of subjects in the face of their reality, forming more active citizens in environmental issues. That said, it is proposed that Critical-Transformative Environmental Education via Generator Theme (EACT-TG), with pedagogical foundations as proposed by Paulo Freire, is a conception of EE for the training of critical and active individuals in the transformation of their environmental reality. With this in mind, the objective of this research is to analyze the presence of EA from the Paulista Curriculum in the area of Natural Sciences, in the period of Elementary School, which ranges from the 1st to the 9th year, regarding its relevance within the document and proximity or distancing with EACT-TG fundamentals. The investigation in the text of skills related to EA was carried out based on the analysis of the presence or absence of moments referring to dialogue, generating themes and transformative actions. It was found that not all skills include the description of the moment of dialogue, and that a minority brings the possibility of taking generating themes, in addition to planning and executing transformative actions. In the few skills that contain these 3 moments, a tendency towards individual culpability was observed, without a critical view of environmental problems. In this way, the results reveal a distance from the EA approach as it is treated in the São Paulo Science Curriculum, from an EACT-TG.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A importância das práticas pedagógicas no ensino de proteínas: uma reflexão das teorias de aprendizagem e possibilidades metodológicas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Cancian, Maria Yasmin; Carvalho, Cleoni dos Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7233550271936621; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0021992070344111This work consists of a reflection based on the review of pedagogical proposals in teaching proteins in the high school biology discipline and how the learning theories described by the authors, Ausubel, Chevallard and Piaget, occur. Through the use of these practices, we seek to make the abstract concepts of biology real, finding ways to facilitate learning about the functions and synthesis of proteins, seen as content that is poorly contextualized according to the experience during the biology internship. The research used the Google Scholar platforms, the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) regarding pedagogical proposals and with the help of searching for the descriptors “protein teaching”; “protein pedagogical practices”, obtaining 48 scientific articles in the period from 2006 to 2021. The methodologies used in the articles analyzed were grouped as forms of games, use of software, textual analysis, and case-based learning. The research revealed that sometimes the tools are varied, but there are more recurrent methodologies and different proposals that are less common, these can be efficient tools in teaching proteins. Therefore, there are increasing attempts to make this content more contextualized and understandable. A didactic sequence is created that can be used to explain the topic, entitled “the house of proteins”.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, As ocupações de escolas públicas periféricas de Sorocaba/SP em 2015: relatos e reflexões(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Neves, Maiara da Silva; Martins, Marcos Francisco; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4515924584428591; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8220-2030; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4383472601968221With the education reforms announced in the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC 241/2016), in September 2015, high school students reacted, organizing themselves to take to the streets and express their indignation at the possible closure of schools and relocation of the school community in the state of São Paulo. As these protests did not have the desired effect, in November 2015, the acts gained more strength, until they reached the point where young people occupied school buildings in the State of São Paulo. In the interior of the State, in the city of Sorocaba/SP, schools on the outskirts were pioneers in the movement and this work towards the completion of the Degree in Pedagogy took these events as an object of research. The investigation adopted bibliographical and documentary research as a method, focusing on the actions carried out throughout the fight against reform on the outskirts of Sorocaba/SP. In particular, the research sought to report and reflect on the occupation process based on the experience of the author, who participated in the occupation of E. E. Professor Jorge Madureira, located in the Jardim Guaíba neighborhood, as well as on the routine of the students and the processes educational activities that were developed in this school and in others in the neighborhood, such as E. E. Profª Beathris Caixeiro Del Cistia. The concept of slavery, by Conceição Evaristo, was adopted as a theoretical reference for the analysis and understanding of the facts that occurred in the secondary school occupations investigated.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Entre faíscas e fuligens: a trajetória social das queimadas nos canaviais paulistas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Sabadin, Ana Carina; Martins, Rodrigo Constante; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6617183095074852; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2700-3319; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1025672097187047; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6581-1312This thesis aims to interpret the social trajectory of burning in sugarcane fields, to find a specific path that leads to the erasure of a debate that has been going on for decades in the context of São Paulo. Our hypothesis is that this trajectory does not lead to a concrete obliteration of the flames – and gradually, in the course of our analysis, we noticed that this concrete goes beyond the materialization of these flames. The context in which this thesis was born was marked by the elimination – or significant reduction – of burning and the advance of mechanized sugarcane cutting. In general terms, burning is the use of fire to strip the sugarcane plant so that it can be cut more efficiently by hand. Eliminating burning thus meant eliminating the use of fire and the manual labor of sugarcane cutters – two of the fuels that cause tension in disputes and conflicts, which, during the promotion of ethanol fuel in the early 2000s, began to damage the image of the sector. The São Paulo Agri-Environmental Protocol, signed in 2007, thus dissipates soot from the sugarcane fields, boosting the mechanization of cutting raw sugarcane and legitimizing the sector’s “good environmental practices”. In the wake of this Protocol, the emergence of conflagrations sheds light on fire as a detriment, something uncontrolled, destructive, and not in the interests of this sector, challenging these “good practices” and demanding strategies to combat the flames and the image they convey. This emergency leads us to question the trajectory mentioned above, contributing to the construction of our hypothesis. Far from this emergence already seeming to point to the concrete non-erasure of the flames in the sugarcane fields, it was only the surface of what this thesis is based on: thermopolitics, a form of power that is still capable of encompassing the logic of capital accumulation, advancing into the concrete and symbolic of social relations. The reach of this thermopolitics is made possible by the trajectories that make up the social trajectory of these burnings. Beyond extinguishing the flames, we go through the trajectories of lighting up, oscillating, and igniting. From a methodological point of view, we took a qualitative approach, based on bibliographical and documentary research, semi-structured interviews with representatives of different segments of the sector, the collection of secondary numerical data, as well as the observation of debates promoted in lives attended by representatives of São Paulo’s public authorities and the sector. The investigation focuses on the administrative region of Ribeirão Preto, listed as the empirical universe.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Apreciação corporal de mulheres brasileiras com e sem dor relacionada à dismenorreia primária: estudo transversal(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Firão, Caren Beatriz; Avila, Mariana Arias; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5905617922199364; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0256594881446288; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5554-2868Primary dysmenorrhea (PD) is a common condition in women of reproductive age characterized by abdominal pain that occurs during the menstrual cycle in the absence of pelvic pathology. Recently, studies of chronic pain have found an association between the presence of pain and body image distortions. The aim of this study was to verify the association between PD related pain and body appreciation. Brazilian women aged 18 to 52 years were invited to participate in the study via social media and were divided into two groups: PD group (n=1.742; 28.3±6.9 years) and no PD group (n=680; 30.2±7 years). Participants completed an online questionnaire that included sociodemographic and gynecologic questions, the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) to assess the pain severity, and the Body Appreciation Scale-2 (BAS-2) to assess the body appreciation. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The PD group had significantly lower body appreciation compared to the no PD group (p <0.001).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Nitrosaminas: presença, efeitos e métodos de tratamento no ambiente aquático(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Gamberini, Gabriela Dias; Urban, Roberta Cerasi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7313670290572985Nitrosamines are a class of chemical compounds that have a nitroso group attached to an amine group. They can be formed both naturally and by human activities, and can be found in various consumer products, such as processed foods, chlorinated drinking water and cosmetics. Their physicochemical properties vary according to their substituents. Nitrosamines pose a significant risk to human health due to their carcinogenic potential, which can cause genetic damage and increase the risk of developing cancer in humans. In addition, environmental imbalances caused by the presence of nitrosamines include contamination of drinking water and water bodies, reduced water quality and disruption of biogeochemical cycles. It is therefore essential to assess and monitor the presence and concentrations of nitrosamines in the environment, as well as to implement effective measures to minimise the environmental imbalances caused by these compounds. Nitrosamines can be determined using techniques such as spectrophotometry, chromatography, chemiluminescence and potentiometry. The research covers the impacts on human and environmental health, highlighting the need to understand the mechanisms for establishing effective strategies, strengthening legislation and more sustainable practices to guarantee a future with environmental balance; in other words, where human activities do not cause significant damage to the environment, minimising negative impacts on ecosystems, wildlife, air and water quality, and protecting natural resources for future generations.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Proposta de coavaliação de desempenho tático-técnico em projeto de iniciação ao futebol(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Godoy, Lucca Franco de; Souza Júnior, Osmar Moreira de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9176123942671062; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2915-5634; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5396271300033114The study proposal initially came from the possibility of constructing, applying and validating a spreadsheet for evaluating tactical-technical performance with students in a sports initiation project in football, with a view to the need of teachers for more practical methods of pedagogical assessment, leveraged by the difficulty of assessing an entire class, generally alone. The developments of the research expanded to the possibility of also discussing the entire process, admitting it as a pedagogical tool. Based on this context, the objective of this research is to analyze the process of construction, application and evaluation of a tactical-technical performance evaluation spreadsheet applied in a co-evaluation system. The study was accomplished through qualitative exploratory research, in a university extension project based in a state school in the city of São Carlos-SP, and covers students from the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th classes. year. The sports initiation project is part of the ProFut Soccer Academy program, linked to the Sports Ministry of the Federal Government. For data collection, transcriptions of remote team meetings, daily field reports on application days and the impressions that teachers and students had of the process were used. Formal games were held, in which students were divided into pairs, where one of them alternated playing, while his/her colleague carried out his/her tactical-technical assessment using a spreadsheet with performance indicators. with subjective options on an assessment scale, thus configuring a co-evaluation proposal. The selected data was organized into the construction, application and evaluation categories, for each day of application accomplished. We interpret it based on content analysis and discuss the entire process with the aim of understanding the limits and potential of the experiences of the students involved and the teachers/monitors participating in the proposal. The proposal turned out to be a “gold mine” for pedagogical assistance and the production of different meanings and values from teaching.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Promovendo a sustentabilidade: o impacto das práticas ESG na redução das emissões de carbono nas indústrias brasileiras(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Santos, Otavio Augusto Silva dos; Tiezzi, Rafael de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7979063304544915; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8682-7807; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1614008725243270The study addresses the relationship between environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) practices and carbon emission reduction in Brazilian industries. The introduction highlights the growing global importance of sustainability and the adoption of ESG metrics as a central strategy for responsible companies. In the Brazilian context, the coexistence of economic development and environmental sustainability is crucial, especially given the country's significant contribution to carbon emissions. The study conducts a literature review using the Scopus database and the CAFe system from the CAPES Periodicals Portal to search for relevant articles. Keyword selection includes terms related to ESG and carbon emissions, with specific filters to ensure document relevance to the Brazilian context. A bibliometric analysis is conducted using VOSviewer, exploring the co-occurrence of keywords in 31 selected articles. Visualization highlights five main clusters, addressing topics from sustainable development to specific issues such as corporate social responsibility and sustainable finance. Temporal analysis reveals an exponential increase in scientific publications on ESG from 2016 to 2024. Document analysis focuses on four articles measuring carbon emissions in different contexts, including assessments of ports, financial efficiency, and environmental performance in energy companies. Results show a variety of environmental metrics used, highlighting diversity in measurement approaches. The conclusion emphasizes the growing interest in ESG practices but highlights the lack of a standardized methodology for measurement, presenting this as a central challenge. The study suggests the need to further explore social and governance dimensions for a comprehensive understanding of the ESG landscape in Brazilian industries. Despite not obtaining a large number of results in the specific search for CO2 emission reduction, the work underscores the continued importance of sustainable approaches for the country's economic and environmental development.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Entregadores de aplicativos nas charges os empreendedores: uma análise discursiva(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-02-05) Sousa, Vitória Lourdes Brito; Mota, Ilka de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9991950104035858; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6637-4310; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8995309892410221; https://orcid.org/0009-0007-9152-6620This work aimed to analyze cartoons that deal with the theme of the work of app delivery workers, seeking to discursively understand their mode of operation. For this, it relied on the theoretical-methodological apparatus of Materialist Discourse Analysis, which works in between Language, History and the Unconscious at the interface with the Sociology of Work (Antunes, 2008; 2019; 2020; 2021). The analytical corpus consists of cartoons by the cartoonist Toni D'Agostinho, more precisely his cartoons belonging to the series entitled “The Entrepreneurs”. The results of the analysis showed that, through the linguistic-discursive resource of irony, the cartoons deconstruct the discourse of entrepreneurship that is the basis of the discourse of application companies, highlighting insecurity, vulnerability and precariousness of work in the neoliberal era.
