In this context, consumerism, or consumer society, is identified as the core of the main problems related to the link between fashion and the environment. Although environmental issues are currently being discussed in the media, there is still a gap in studies on critical environmental communication. This exploratory research aimed, therefore, to answer the following main question: how does transparency in communication about the socio environmental impacts generated in the stages of the fashion production chain influence consumer behavior? To answer it, five studies were proposed that complement and interrelate with each other, each dealing with the following aspects: 1) the objective was to seek, through bibliographical research, information on the relationships between fashion and socio-environmental impacts; 2) the objective was to analyze content from two different communication spaces, scientific articles and documentary films, through which data were collected on peculiarities present in environmental narratives; 3) the objective was to provide information about the corporate communication policy of four companies in the clothing sector (Lojas Renner, C&A, Pernambucanas and Riachuelo), through the analysis of sustainability reports; 4) the objective was to gather information about the communication of the Algodão Paraíba Project and the Algodão Project in Agroecological Consortia, based on a case study; 5) the objective was to present qualitative data on consumers' knowledge regarding the textile fashion chain and their respective consumption behavior. The results obtained indicate that: 1) there is a need to create a new awareness regarding consumption; 2) scientific communication is limited to a small portion of the population, while documentaries enable a broader and more accessible discussion; 3) three of the four clothing companies analyzed use the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicator in their reports, which suggests that pressure from investors leads large companies to adopt more environmentally fair practices and policies; 4) the case study demonstrated alternative models to extensive cotton cultivation and highlighted the importance of communication being well articulated for projects of this nature; 5) 114 women responded to the questionnaire, and the data collected showed that 64.9% do not know who makes their clothes, 50% look for good social and environmental practices when buying their clothing, 49.6% look for information through social networks , and 20.4% still have a lot of doubts about the impacts and the means of obtaining information on the subject. In conclusion, it is suggested that transparency in communication can serve as a device for more conscious consumption. It is expected that the data collected in this study will serve as an element that contributes to the development of environmental education and communication policies. This fact can lead to the intensification of fragilities, reconfiguring the organization of these people's everyday lives, with wide-ranging impacts ranging from the sphere of personal, affective and loving relationships (in friendship, family, marital life, religious options) to that social policies (health, education, social assistance, among others). In occupational therapy, work in the field of gender and sexual dissidence is scarce, with almost no bibliographical production on the subject. Taking Judith Butler's reflections on the construction of alliances between groups that aim for social justice – as justice in conceptualized by Nancy Fraser – a theoretical-methodological alliance between social occupational therapy, critical occupational science and queer studies was proposed. Through a survey done to apprehend and analyze the professional profile and practices of occupational therapists who work in Brazil with this public, elements were gathered to support the hypothesis that the work occupational therapists carried out with the population who experience dissidence of genders and sexualities did not bring new resources or technology specific to the professional core. No practices were identified exclusively for the care of this population. It was noted that the professionals used resources already known and established in the field. The main differentiating factor between practices that operated within the logic of adaptation or social articulation were the theoretical-methodological references used. The first stage of the research was a scoping review of journal articles indexed in academic databases and virtual libraries, namely: VHL, CINAHL, SciELO Citation Index, SCOPUS and Web of Science. Considering articles available online until March 2021,39 articles were included in the review. In the second stage, an online questionnaire (2019-2020) to understand practice with this population. Using snowball sampling, recruitment began through seed informants and social media. Based on the responses (n= 95), 15 informants were selected for interviews to enhance depth of understanding of the professional practice developed. Using Laurence Bardin's postulates, we used thematic content analysis to organize and process field data. Even though we can affirm that there are occupational therapists in Brazil working with the population who experience dissident genders or sexualities, when we consider the literature, few productions focused specifically on professional practice. Most articles proposed possible contributions and made general recommendations. Taking these findings, we seek to offer support so that occupational therapy continues to work with the population in question, but also point to the necessity of critical reflection on this field of knowledge and practices. In these assumptions, a complex, diverse profession is defended, with its multiple possibilities of intervention, different vocabularies and objects, but which builds common general objectives focused on people’s participation that requires social justice. Typically, these data are characterized by sequences of numerical values representing one or more soil properties. This phase can be executed through various approaches, with two of the most widely recognized and employed being: Logging While Drilling (LWD), which occurs during drilling, and Wireline Logging, which takes place after the well has been drilled. Due to vibrations and other phenomena occurring during drilling, there may be inaccuracies in the depth of LWD logs. To correct this, manual alignment of LWD logs is performed using Wireline logs as a reference. In this context, this work proposes a workflow that performs automatic alignment of LWD and Wireline logs using the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) algorithm in a segmented manner. The proposed workflow is divided into three parts: finding the common region between the two series, segmenting the LWD and Wireline logs so that the segments are similar, and performing segmented alignment using the DTW algorithm. Understanding the behavior of these processes in the face of these changes is of fundamental importance for planning and managing water resources, especially with regard to water availability. This study aims to evaluate how changes in climate variables (temperature and precipitation) interfere with water availability in the Jurumirim river basin (located in Alto Paranapanema) and discuss how future land use may affect or be affected by water availability for basin management purposes. For this purpose, the DinamicaEgo software was used for future land use scenarios (up to 2100) and the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model for hydrological modeling. The SWAT modeling included four climate models (Eta-BESM, Eta-Eta-CanESM2, Eta-HadGEM2-EM and Eta-Miroc5) and two emissions scenarios (RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5), in the range from 1960 to 2099. The averages of the historical period (1960-1990) of the Eta-BESM model (RCP4.5) were used as a basis for comparison for the other models and periods (2010-2039 - near, 2040-2069 - medium and, 2070-2099 - distant). The land use transitions indicate increases in forestry and urbanization areas and reductions in pasture, native vegetation and agriculture by the end of the century. The reference model presents a historical monthly average of the rainy season between October and March and the dry season between April and September, with higher flows from December to May and lower flows from June to November. Future projections suggest an increase in temperature and an increase in precipitation in the driest months and a reduction in the rainy months, resulting in an annual loss of precipitation in most cases. Climate issues influence water availability more than changes in land use, where climate variables affect flow with reductions in the rainy season and increases in the dry season. In general, the RCP 8.5 scenarios tend to have greater losses and smaller gains compared to the RCP 4.5 scenarios, indicating lower water input into the hydrological system and longer dry periods. The Eta-BESM and Eta-HadGEM2-EM data, which best represent rainfall in the region, point to reductions in water availability, while Eta-Miroc5 shows an increase. Reductions in water availability highlight possible conflicts between multiple uses, which could negatively impact food and energy production and prices. Based on this concept, the present research aims to analyze the contribution of responsible hospital discharge in the continuity of care for individuals with Diabetes Mellitus, a chronic disease that affects a significant portion of the population and has important social, economic, and family repercussions. The increasing prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus leads to complications that directly impact the quality of life and functional capacity of patients. Therefore, it becomes essential to verify strategies that ensure continuity of care after hospital discharge. In this sense, responsible hospital discharge is understood as a practice that can facilitate the transition of care, minimizing the possibility of readmissions, and also promoting better adherence and continuity of treatment. The methodological approach used was qualitative, through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire to individuals hospitalized with Diabetes Mellitus. This methodology allowed for an in-depth assessment of the participants' health needs and the effectiveness of care processes related to hospital discharge. The results obtained highlighted weaknesses in comprehensive health care, pointing to the scarce connection between users and health services. The evidence suggests that the lack of a strong bond and active listening results in challenges in the continuity of care, reinforcing the need for investments in primary care. Furthermore, the research points to the urgency of developing effective strategies for the organization of the HCN, promoting continuous qualification of health professionals, and implementing reviews of work processes. Permanent education also stands out as an essential factor for improving care practices, enabling professionals to meet the health demands of the population. These findings not only contribute to the discussion on the importance of comprehensive care but also offer insights for the formulation of public policies aimed at improving health services, especially regarding the care of chronic non-communicable diseases. In this aspect, we developed a simple, efficient and diastereoselective synthesis of new γ-lactams from aziridines, based on a previous reported method by our research group for the synthesis of γ-lactones, employing the Horner–Wadsworth–Emmons reaction. We optimized the time, concentration, solvent and the stoichiometric proportion of substrates, and the best reaction condition was stablished using NaH as base in THF at 17 oC for 15 h. We then investigated the scope and limitations of the developed protocol. In total, 15 examples were obtained in 14-88% yield and two limitations observed regarding the presence of the NO2 group and the protected aziridine. Furthermore, it was possible to scale-up the reaction in 10-fold and also initiate the enantioselective version using a chiral organocatalyst. Next, we investigated the synthesis of Δ1-pyrrolines from chalcones and 2H-azirines via photoredox catalysis induced by visible light, under continuous flow regime. Different photocatalysts, solvents, residence time, reactors, concentration, catalyst loading and stoichiometry were tested. The best condition was achieved using blue LED, 7 mol% mesitylacridinium as catalyst in DCE as solvent, which resulted in a Δ1-pyrroline ring with 82% yield and 73:27 diastereoisomeric ratio. After established the best reaction condition, we carried out the investigation of the reaction scope and its limitations. However, the major diastereoisomers of the synthesized derivatives showed low stability in solvents such as chloroform, dimethyl sulfoxide and acetone, which did not allow the efficient characterization of the compounds by NMR. The Δ1-pyrrolines and its pyrrole derivatives showed IC50 between 1.03 and 8.0 µM, in preliminary tests against the protozoan Plasmodium falciparum, in addition, did not show cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells. Thus, the Δ1-pyrrolines were oxidized with DDQ affording seven pyrroline derivatives in 12-47% yield over two steps. This thesis aims to fill a gap in the Brazilian context by translating, training, and validating the Semi-Structured Interview-Informed Synthesized Contingency Analysis (IISCA), a type of functional analysis reported to be efficient in informing treatment plans for problem behaviors. The term "problem behavior" is discussed in depth, recognizing its different conceptualizations, through political, social, geographic and topographical influences. The importance of functional analysis is highlighted, highlighting the need for tools sensitive to local culture. In addition to assessment, a behavioral treatment package is presented to address identified problem behaviors, promoting effective and personalized interventions. Three studies are conducted: the first focuses on the translation and adaptation of the IISCA, the second addresses the training of professionals in the application of the interview and the IISCA, and the third focuses on the validation of the IISCA based on the latency of problem behaviors. The results indicate that the translation of IISCA into Portuguese and for the Brazilian public, in addition to presenting adequate results achieving the same objective as IISCA in English, also informs an efficient analysis through the training of Brazilian professionals. Despite its wide ocurrence, the bird ecological aspects are yet not explored by South american scientists. In Laguna Estuarine System (SEL), localized at southern coast of Santa Catarina State, Brazil, tradicional fishing community express nuances of a potential increase in cormorant population and its feeding habitats. This thesis evaluates the species ecological aspects of a populated dormitory at SEL. We assess cormorant population dinamics, diet, estuarine spatial use and reproduction from 2021 to 2023. The region is economically, culturally and historically important to South of Brazil and supports an intense fishing activity, demanding evidence-based evaluation of the interactions between cormorants and fishing resources. Diet analisys revealed diversified and generalists feeding habits, with cormorants consuming pelagic and demersal fishes composed mainly by the next families Ariidae, Engraulidae, Scianidae, Gerreidae e Atherinopsidae. Through otolith analisys sampled by regurgitated pellets, we assessed mean prey sizes of 128,6 +67,6mm and a diary consumption of biomass of 382,2 ±23,5g. Population counts indicated peaks of abundance during autumn and winter, corresponding to the establishment of reprodutive colonies in Laguna adjancies. By direct observations and the utilization of biologgers we observed maximum travel distances of 18 km to feeding areas, but mostly travels ocurred near the dormitory/colony (Nóca Lagoon). We observed a peak of 2780 nests and a reproductive sucess of 56,9% in 2023 colony located at Nóca Lagoon. Here we also document the first conflict between N. brasilianum and artisanal fisheries in Brazil. With ilegal actions and lesgislative responses, exemplified by ordinary law n° 2.154/ 2020. Yet, the conflict lacks evidence-based data and demand holistic and interdisciplinar approaches to its resolution or mitigation of possible negative outputs to biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
