Molds and dies fit these characteristics and are therefore difficult to machine, resulting in significant material waste. To apply AM in the manufacture of these parts, it is essential to explore how the primary materials used in these tools behave after processing. This study investigated how H13 tool steel processed by laser powder bed fusion behaved during bending and wear tests, correlating this behavior with microstructure, build direction, and formed defects. The microstructure revealed a cellular morphology of martensite surrounded by retained austenite. The bending tests demonstrated a high sensitivity to intrinsic process defects and little sensitivity to the part's build direction (BD). The sample fabricated with 400J/mm³ showed the highest values of density and bending stress. In contrast, the sample produced with 600J/mm³ exhibited fewer defects and more extensive deformation before fracture. During wear tests, the printed samples displayed a Coefficient of Friction (COF) between 0.72 and 0.85, while the printed and heat-treated samples showed a reduced range of 0.72 < COF < 0.76. The specific wear rate (K) did not vary significantly with BD but was lower for the printed samples (1.2 x 10^-4 mm³/N·m) compared to the conventionally processed sample (2.2 x 10^-4 mm³/N·m). These behaviors were explained by considering the microstructural refinement, the fraction of retained austenite, the intrinsic tempering of the process, wear mechanisms (abrasion, adhesion, and delamination), and the presence of defects. The findings indicate the possibility of manufacturing H13 parts with complex geometries, maintaining excellent wear properties even before heat treatment.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Perspectivas pód-Pandemia de COVID-19: Previsão do desemprego no Brasil com o méttodo de Holt-Winters(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-08-13) Silva, Adriana Eva Fernandes da; Moura, Maria Sílvia de Assis; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9410151859448447; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4385255495357139This study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on unemployment rates, with a special focus on the gender gap. Using time series methods, we will focus our attention on understanding how the pandemic has affected unemployment. We will employ the Holt-Winters exponential smoothing method to make predictions about the behavior of the time series related to men and women. We will then compare these predictions with the actual data to assess the accuracy and consistency of the projections made. This work seeks to provide valuable insights into the nuances of the impact of the pandemic on unemployment, especially with regard to gender differences.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Lideranças distribuídas em uma escola do Programa Ensino Integral do Estado de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-08-13) Rodrigues, Esleide de Cassia; Nascente, Renata Maria Moschen; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3742955383665134; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3400928097474979The theme of this dissertation refers to distributed leaderships in a school of the Sao Paulo State Integral Teaching Program, understanding them as a collective phenomenon, in which responsibilities and influences are shared by several school agents. The research on which it is based has been developed within the scope of a larger investigation, conducted by several members of the Study Group on School Organization: Democracy, Human Rights and Administrators Training, denominated Improvement of school climate and development of democratic school leadership in four schools in the Sao Paulo State Integral Teaching Program. Thus, the problem investigated unfolds into two questions: how are the leaderships distributed across the administration team, teachers, staff, students and families? And, how can such leaderships contribute to participative and democratic school administration? The working hypothesis was that the program would enable the distribution of leaderships among its different segments, through the implementation of its guidelines in schools and the expansion of administration teams. The objective was to identify the leaderships distributed in that school, to try to understand their characteristics and their possible contributions to participative and democratic school administration. To this end, a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory methodological path was delimited for the collection of empirical data, through observations and semi-structured interviews, which enabled the collection of data that are analyzed in light of the theoretical framework adopted. It was possible to conclude that the distributed leaderships in that school were characterized as emerging due to activities prescribed by the Program, such as class leadership, tutoring, youth protagonism, pedagogy of presence, in addition to regular school boards, such as the school council and the student union. With regard to the school’s professionals, the extended administration team, prescribed by the Program, composed of principal, vice principal, area and general coordinators, already characterizes, in itself, a certain distribution of leadership that ended up spreading as well among teachers, due to their exclusive full-time dedication to the school, which provided times and spaces that favored the appropriation and construction of leadership practices in relation to students, their peers and the administration team itself. Also noteworthy was the assumption of leadership roles by staff and parents. Regarding the characterization of these leaderships, we may understand them as predominantly participative and democratic, due to evidence that they shared educational objectives and decision-making through egalitarian dialogue in which all voices were equally valued. Also, it stood out that, in the context of the school studied, distributed leadership emerged from both bottom-up interactions – within the different school segments, and top-down, due to the organizational prescriptions of the Program. However, even when distributed by delegation, it was observed that the leaderships acted in the sense of valuing the participation of all school agents, which strengthened leadership practices by the entire school community towards the participation growth among all school agents.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, FolheaRR: um córpus compartilhado de textos jornalísticos roraimenses(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-08-13) Gonçalves, Lana Camila Santos; Procópio, Eliabe dos Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0792658591244187; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9766-1686; Biazolli, Caroline Carnielli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7908630593356660; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8578-8102; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4154013839721525; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2942-3037This study is based on concepts from Variationist Sociolinguistics (Labov, 2008 [1972]), notions about the correlation between variation and textual-discursive genres (Biazolli, 2010, 2016, 2018; Vieira, 2019; Biazolli; Berlinck, 2021a), discussions on the plurality of norms in Brazilian Portuguese (Faraco, 2008, 2012; Bagno, 2011), and the importance of journalistic texts for sociolinguistic studies (Biazolli, 2010, 2016; Vieira; Lima, 2019; Lima, 2022). These theoretical notions support the general objective of constructing samples of journalistic texts from Roraima, published in the newspaper Folha de Boa Vista (FBV). Among the specific objectives are: I) organizing and detailing criteria for the construction of target samples; II) contributing to discussions on the educated written modality of Brazilian Portuguese, aiming at the initial characterization of educated written Portuguese from Roraima; and III) contributing to the advancement of sociolinguistic studies, including Roraima studies in the analyses of Brazilian Portuguese. FBV is the main communication vehicle of Roraima, and due to the lack of studies describing Roraima Portuguese, the sociocultural and scientific relevance of using this material as a source of language data extraction is emphasized. The constitution of the samples – which, together, form the corpus called FolheaRR –, has five textual-discursive genres: article, chronicle, news, report, and opinion comment. For the constitution of the corpus, this study follows specific guidelines determined by this research and methodological guidelines already established in a larger project, conducted at the national level. After the constitution of the corpus, this work carried out the systematization of independent variables associated with each textual-discursive genre and, based on this, proposed a sociolinguistic analysis suggestion focusing on the lexicon – so that other researchers are encouraged to research linguistic uses at this level, or at other levels of the language, in the present corpus. Thus, through the development of the material and the sociolinguistic factors involved, the potential of FolheaRR for the sociolinguistic study scenario in Roraima became evident.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, "Foi o trabalho que apareceu”: experiências de jovens mulheres na limpeza escolar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-08-13) Libâneo, Flávia Sabina; Corrochano, Maria Carla; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7714353975585252; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8030-6461; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6845626229842749This research aims to describe and analyze the experiences of young women inserted in the Young Apprentice Program, who work in the municipal schools of Sorocaba/SP in cleaning functions. Considering the educational and work character present in this labor insertion program, the specificities, difficulties and easiness found in this first job experience were observed. The Young Apprentice Program is aimed at young people from 14 to 24 years old, however, for the cleaning assistant course, the minimum age is 18 years. Thus, the young women participating in this research are in the age group between 18 and 24 years. Considering the scarce academic production found in bibliographic research on cleaning professionals in education, in addition to the lack of knowledge of other education professionals about these young women inserted in school, this research is necessary. Given its qualitative nature, a bibliographic survey was carried out, in addition to the application of 21 sociodemographic forms for profile survey and in-depth interviews with 06 young people for a better understanding of their experiences and trajectories. The interviews were conducted in two stages: the first during the first half of 2023, in person or remotely, according to the availability of the young women, and the second in January 2024, for further study. The theoretical framework is centered on the following authors: Maria Carla Corrochano, François Dubet, Helena Hirata and Patricia Hill Collins. Among the main results obtained, the idea of “a work that was available” and not chosen stands out; the use of this experience as a way to achieve better positions in the labor market; the need to consider non-teaching workers in schools as educators and the markers of gender, age, race and social class, corroborating with research that indicates that poor and racialized women are the majority in domestic work.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Rede Blockchain para rastreabilidade de queijos artesanais no Brasil utilizando Hyperledger Fabric(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-08-13) Ricardo, Fernando Salhab Doria; Valente, Fredy João; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8165518000687142; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2735-4787The artisanal cheese market in Brazil presents a promising and growing scenario, with an estimated revenue of US$10 million in 2021 and an annual growth projection rate of 2.04% until 2025, according to Sebrae - SC. However, this market faces considerable challenges, such as the strict sanitary requirements for producers and the lack of traceability in the food production chain. To overcome this last obstacle, the implementation of a blockchain network using the Hyperledger Fabric platform is proposed. This solution allows for the creation of a secure and transparent traceability system, enabling the recording and verification of all stages of the production chain. All stakeholders in this supply chain will have access to a Progressive Web App (PWA) platform, compatible with any device, whether desktop or mobile, making it easier to track and monitor the activities. The end consumer will be able, through a QR code printed on the packaging, to access the history of the cheese, ensuring the product’s origin, authenticity and safety. Throughout this work, the solution was implemented and several tests were simulated to ensure the system’s functionality and performance, paving the way for future research and eventual implementation in real market conditions.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Fanzines como instrumento de expressão atrás das grades: processos educativos através da arte(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-08-13) Frasson, Tamires Fernanda Baptista; Fonseca, Débora Cristina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8595226338503481; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5706519197928452In thinking about possibilities for dialogic learning inside spaces of restriction and deprivation of liberty, the proposal of this paper focuses on a pedagogical action that can promote autonomy for people in this situation: the production of fanzines. This theme was chosen due to the combination of Arts and Language. Therefore, the purposes of this research are: to investigate the educational processes that emerge from the production of fanzines during learning workshops held with students in a space of restriction and deprivation of liberty; analyze fanzines as a pedagogical resource used in school and non-school activities and explore ways to apply it; identify how fanzines can provide moments of self-expression and contribute to the process of humanization of the workshop participants; evaluate the creations made in the workshops and, based on them, promote a meaningful learning for the incarcerated students. Thus, bibliographical research was used in the first stage, conducting a systematic review of the topic. Considering that the stance adopted for this study is grounded on Paulo Freire’s principles, which means, humanizing and liberating, in order to answer the questioning raised by the research, it was exercised in the fieldwork the interaction and relationship of proximity between the researcher and the participants, based on affectivity and dialogue. That way, as a second stage, an action research was carried out with learning workshops at the resocialization center located in Jaú, São Paulo, during Art lessons with two multi graded classes of middle school. From the development of the workshops, it was possible to obtain data on the educational processes emerging from art, such as: autonomy, development of self confidence and trust in others, dialogicity, attention, interest, dedication, motivation, frustration, respect for differences and creativity. Furthermore, the research presents the potential for expression, humanization and the promotion of learning behind bars through fanzine productions. In this research we also found that there are few works on fanzines in these spaces. Therefore, we consider that it is necessary to give more importance to the topic, as it proved to be relevant in its results. We hope that this work will be read not only by people in the academic field. But, mainly, that it reaches people who are deprived of their freedom, inspiring them and showing them new paths through art.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Circo de rua: estudos geográficos com artistas do litoral sul de São Paulo-SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-08-13) Grigolon, Lais Manesco; Bernardes, Antonio Henrique; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6785212671844982; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5161591820450069In order to understand the distribution of street circus artists on the streets of municipalities on the south coast of São Paulo, how they are organized territorially and their dynamics, both internally and in relation to other groups and institutions, this research was developed using ethnography as the preponderant methodology, with Geertz (1978) recommendations as its main reference. Based on ethnography, different techniques were selected, such as participant observation and the frequent use of field diaries. During fieldwork, collaborators proved to be relevant to understanding the group's dynamics and were invited to contribute to semi-structured interviews, which aimed to deepen the understanding of the data produced in previous stages. With this material gathered, frequent re-readings were carried out, both of the field diaries and the interview transcriptions and the recurrences and relevance of data (events and characteristics described) were noted so that they would form part of the final work, stitching together field experiences, testimonies of artists and the researcher's reflections and other references gathered throughout the process in a narrative that describes the research. The work made it possible to understand the main points of circus activities in the studied area, as well as the motivations or constraints of their territorial dynamics. Furthermore, prolonged contact with the group produced an extensive description of how circus practices have adapted and transformed, along with other social and cultural movements, characteristics that also reflect the ways in which the group appropriates, acts and dominates certain territories. Another relevant point was understanding that the local dynamics of the street circus is supported by a broad network of communication and solidarity, in which artists from different locations are included who strengthen themselves to reproduce their ways of being in the world, as well as sustaining its multiple territorializations.
