In a business context where it is always desirable to maximize profits, the reduction of products’ manufacture cost appears as a strategic alternative, whether through optimization of oversized parts or the removal of fastening components, such as screws. The main challenge to achieve this, however, is maintaining the quality and functionality of what is being produced and sold. This scenario is currently evident for those who work in the home appliance industry in Brazil, with consumers demanding better and more affordable home appliances. In this context, this document proposes to analyze the technical feasibility of reducing the number of screws that fix the tub on the tub support of washing machines, considering the need to guarantee their quality and safety in use. This study was carried out through the development of practical experiments, product-level tests to evaluate the performance of the proposed model, and comparative tests to visualize, through statistical analysis of the results and research of pre-existing knowledge, if there has been a loss of quality. The studies have shown that the reduction is promising, contributing to cost reduction without impacting the functionality of the washing set.
Acessibilidade audiovisual para pessoas surdas: um estudo sobre o gênero live de esports

This study discusses the definition of the Esports Live Stream genre and addresses aspects of accessibility features in live broadcasts of digital games, with a focus on the game League of Legends (LoL). It explores the enunciative and discursive specificities that characterize this audiovisual genre. Based on Mikhail Bakhtin's theory of speech genres and on technical accessibility standards, the analysis shows that linguistic accessibility for deaf individuals goes beyond technical issues such as capturing the interpreter's image or the use of subtitles. The study highlights the need to consider the interactive, dynamic, and multimodal particularities inherent to game livestreams, so that features like Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) windows, subtitling, and other tools can be adapted to integrate effectively with the broadcast content. To support this discussion, a live broadcast from the competitive LoL scene was analyzed, considering the accessibility features available during the live transmission and their impact on inclusion and viewer experience. The results indicate that accessibility resources were only present in three segments—advertisements, the pre-game, and the post-game—leaving out core aspects of the genre, such as sports commentary.
