Política de indexação em tempos de representação colaborativa da informação
Abstract
The importance of the subject indexing activity is perceived, among others, with the exponential creation of data and information in the digital environment, made possible by the development of information and communication technologies. In times of collaborative representation of information, how the specialized literature on subject indexing contemplates indexation policy guidelines directed to the specificities of collaborative representation of indexing is questioned. In this sense, the objective is to analyze the collaborative representation of information within the specialized literature of indexation policy, in order to verify how the Brazilian Information Science discusses the implications of this contemporary practice in
researches on indexation policy, with emphasis on context advances and challenges on the topic. This is an exploratory and descriptive study with a qualitative and quantitative approach, with a mapping of the literature in the form of a scientific article dedicated to the theme. Data collection was carried out at Reference Database of Articles from Journals in Information Science, with the research corpus
consisting of 5 documents, which were analyzed and interpreted to obtain the current research scenario that discusses the indexing policy in times of collaborative representation of information. In addition to the scarcity of literature dedicated to the issue, there is a lack of specific recommendations for the elaboration/updating of indexing policies for collaborative environments, especially institutional repositories.
