Abstract
Agroecology propose short circuit markets as one of the fundamental bases of sustainable rural development. This kind of market system is based in the idea that, local markets could approximate farmers and local citizen, cutting off distances and intermediary vendors. Under that circumstances, a Community Supported Agriculture CSA, became an exit for the farmers who seek for economical security, and consumers, healthier foods, under ethical and social behaviors. The CSA - Sorocaba associate's profile data was obtained via online form, which questions were made based on consumption, sustainability and environmentalism notions and behaviors. Notably, the associates have well-structured and clear notions about the issues involved with large-scale agriculture, as well as the food-health relationship.
