Contribuições do uso da técnica “olhos vendados” em simulação clínica: comunicação verbal de estudantes de enfermagem em situações de atendimento ao paciente crítico
Abstract
Objective: To verify the contributions of the use of the "blindfolded eyes" technique in clinical simulation on verbal communication and self-confidence of nursing students in critical patient care in simulated clinical scenarios. Method: The study was divided into three stages, stage 1: construction of simulated clinical scenarios based on Bloom's Taxonomy, structured according to Fabri et al. and the American Heart Association Guidelines. In step 2: validation of the checklist for evaluation of the participants in the simulated clinical scenario by experts. In step 3: development and offering of a free workshop to undergraduate nursing students, about nursing care to patients in critical situations, involving theoretical training on the theme, skill training and participation in simulated clinical scenarios. As instrument of analysis, two instruments were applied pre and post intervention, being them the checklist of evaluation of knowledge, skills and attitudes in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and the scale "Self- confidence Scale (SCE)" Portuguese version. Results: In relation to the first phase of the research, five simulated clinical scenarios were built. In the second phase, a total of 17 experts participated through the Delphi technique, and after two rounds of validation, the checklist for evaluating the participants in the simulated clinical scenarios was developed and validated. The third stage, referring to the training of skills and performance of the clinical simulation and simulated scenarios and application of the instruments pre and post intervention, showed that the mean of correct answers after the simulation is significantly different from the mean of correct answers pre-simulation, thus the individuals presented gains in knowledge and confidence between the two moments of the research. Conclusion: The simulation added to the blindfold technique and the skills training can collaborate to the development of skills required during the critical patient care, such as communication and leadership.
