Abstract
This work aims to develop a pedagogical proposal for high school students in order to contextualize the Chemistry content with the daily life of these students through the theme of the automobile industry, in addition to promoting reflections on this theme and its environmental and health consequences. It is proposed, for this, to carry out classes structured in five stages, with the intention of carrying out theoretical and practical activities with audiovisual resources. The realization of this proposal provides for an improvement in the dynamics of Chemistry classes, seeking greater participation and interest from students. With this monograph, it was possible to verify other potential themes for the approach on the emission of polluting gases, as is the case of agribusiness and deforestation in Brazil.
