Sustentabilidade no setor de entretenimento: avaliação da geração de resíduos sólidos em eventos open bar e da percepção de seus impactos ambientais por seus organizadores e frequentadores
Abstract
The entertainment sector, including event organization, is a prominent branch in the service industry, with a constant demand for innovations and, currently, a concern for sustainability issues, which can be represented by an ESG approach, an acronym in English for "Environmental, Social, and Governance." The objective of this study was to estimate, through data collected from sample events, the environmental impacts generated by solid waste discarded during open bar leisure events, as well as to evaluate the perception of both organizers and attendees through interactive questionnaires regarding such impacts. Thus, it was possible to map the consumer preferences of the audience in this type of event, the environmental impact generated, the audience's awareness of ESG issues, as well as their willingness to attend and prioritize events that incorporate environmental concerns. The results of this research indicate that beer consumption is the largest source of solid waste, followed by cocktails and energy drinks, along with a considerable generation of organic waste, which requires an appropriate disposal structure.
