Do verde ao verde e amarelo - o que os intelectuais integralistas podem ensinar sobre os intelectuais da Nova Direita
Abstract
The newest far-right authoritarian wave in Brazil, represented primarily by the coming of some sectors of the New Right reaching power, is not necessarily something new in Brazilian history. Considering it is that even before the military dictatorship, it had been a mass movement that had a far-right nature and an undemocratic point of view named Ação Integralista Brasileira, and just as recent movements it also spread to society through its intellectuals located in strategic places in society. Thus, the research question: "What the Brazilian integralist intellectuals can teach us about the intellectuals of the New Right?" becomes indispensable. The intended purpose is to analyze the arguments and discourses in selected works of five intellectuals, three of Brazilian Integralism (Plínio Salgado, Gustavo Barroso, and Miguel Reale) and two of the New Right (Olavo de Carvalho, Rodrigo Constantino). The object of study to be analyzed will be the relations between the intellectuals of both movements. For that analysis, it will use the qualitative approach to its methods to analyze its similarities and dissidence.
