Análise ambiental do relevo e dos recursos hídricos da Bacia do Sorocabuçu, Ibiúna/SP

Abstract

In this work we tried to approach how the land uses for development of economic activities and housing in rural areas can change the environmental dynamics in relation to the geomorphology, in an analysis integrating relief and water resources. Considerations were also made about the Sorocabuçu Basin is floodplain sector, which is within the urban perimeter. The basin is located predominantly in the rural area of municipality of Ibiúna-SP, which is a Sorocaba River tributary, contributing to supply the Itupararanga Reservoir. Thus, the study area is configured in a sub-basin of Sorocaba/Médio Tietê Basin. It supplies water to the municipalities of Ibiúna, Votorantim, Sorocaba and Mairinque. In addition, it is an economically important area for the municipality, due to the intense development of temporary agricultural crops, which is the main economic activity in the municipality. With respect to the methodological procedures, stages of analysis about relief, hydrography and environmental impacts were carried out, through the elaboration of thematic maps, interpretation of satellite images and field observations. During the research, the characterization of relief and drainage were carried out; four distinct geomorphological compartments were identified; analysis of chemical and physical parameters of main courses of the Sorocabuçu River; in addition to the identification of responsible elements for alterations in relief, as well as the water flow and quality.
