Abstract
This undergraduate thesis is an account of the academic journey of amedical student at UFSCar. According to the guidelines of the program's Political-Pedagogical Plan, the work presents a critical reflection on the narrated events from the graduating student's personal perspective, considering his entire context and past experiences. The narrated events were organized into four moments: The student's background history, Cycle I/Basic, Cycle II/Clinical, Cycle III/Internship. Beyond the course itself, moments of the student's training involving elective activities and an academic league are reported. This narrative is permeated by reflections and critiques, with a final chapter dedicated to an overarching reflection on the course and the author's aspirations regarding his professional future. In conclusion, the overall quality of the UFSCar medical program is emphasized, along with its transformative character—not only due to the course itself, but also because of the experiences it provided—as well as presenting suggestions for improving the course.
