Resumo
It is observed that the construction of natural numbers are worked since elementary
school, from natural to real numbers. Therefore, this study aimed to reflect on the
methodologies for the construction of natural numbers sets, as well as to recommend
proposals regarding the procedure for teaching and learning natural numbers in
Elementary School. The methodology applied for the development of this study was
the literature review. As the construction of the numerical system occurs through the
relationships developed by the subject, it is recomended to help by suggesting
activities, games, etc., which may benefit the establishment of these relationships, and,
in such a way, I was developing the logical-mathematical reasoning of the students
through a reflective abstraction.
