Abstract

The objective of this course conclusion work is to understand the movements that inspired the “June days” of 2013, specifically analyzing the composition of the corpus of manifestations, dividing the event into two periods and with two interpretation methodologies, namely: the analysis class Marxist; and the interpretation of the respondents' public opinions, via survey. What can be seen is a shift from young people just entering the world working to the streets, questioning public services, the political class and with the “centrality” of the urban mobility agenda, to, later, an older profile with the background of claims focused on the moralization of the political debate, anti-partisanship and anti-petism, their income index, as well as their space in production configure them as members of the middle class motivated, we believe, by a certain “social selfishness”. The investigation permeates the scope of this change, which is extranatural, the greatest time of mass demonstrations since redemocratization, mobilizing class characteristics exposed by the protesters' agency, in the same sense as in their reactions to the questions. Finally, we launch hypotheses for a deeper understanding of the theme related to the events of Lulism, indispensable for the cut, in an attempt to allocate the event to its historical period, being a “live” moment of the Brazilian class struggle.
