Resumo

This final paper approaches the state of knowledge about physics teaching for deaf in the two first decades of the 21th century. For this purpose, a survey of the works present in the CAPES theses and dissertations catalog was carried out and, subsequently, an analysis from titles and abstracts of these thesis and dissertations were made. The study questions are: how many and which are there on this subject? Are these researches articulated? Are there conclusions about methodologies to teach physics with people with hearing disability? What have been the concerns of researchers in the teaching of physics for the deaf? These questions provided theses objectives: to present an overview of theses and dissertations about physics teaching for deaf and discuss methodological and pedagogical aspects found in these works. The results indicated a trend of increasing academic production over the years. Furthermore, we found 27 works distributed in the five regions of Brazil, which can be classified into three thematic approaches: 1) related to didactic resources; 2) related to the understanding of the learning process and, 3) related to communication in LIBRAS of scientific terms. It is necessary to mention that these three thematic focus were also described by other authors, in similar studies, which supported and contributed to this final paper.
