Abstract

Study of historical aspects of the trajectory of Christianity specific to Roman Catholicism in relation to other Christian branches and its elective affinity with anti-capitalist thought and activism, which led to the formation of Marxist militants guided by religious values. The work also discusses some aspects of a contemporary Brazilian Christian facet, closely identified with liberal capitalism, which is neo-Pentecostalism.
