listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Produção acadêmica sobre casas abrigo: análise de teses e dissertações da BDTD/IBICT(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-05-16) Paula, Isabel Cristina de; Rigolin, Camila Carneiro Dias; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2388584081961836; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9400-2837; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6133894538138927; https://orcid.org/0009-0007-8081-6788In recent years, there have been no significant reductions in violence against women, despite the existence of several legal and institutional mechanisms in Brazil aimed at their protection and assistance. Public policies, specific legislation and the construction of public facilities have been implemented with the aim of preventing and mitigating gender-based violence. Among these mechanisms, shelters, regulated by national laws and guidelines, are welcome spaces for women and their children who are at imminent risk of death. This study aims to analyze theses and dissertations available in the Database of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) for being a free database, linked to the Federal government, of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT), to understand how scientific production has addressed the issue of shelters. To this end, a narrative literature review on shelters and violence against women was conducted. Data collection did not follow a pre-determined time frame, resulting in the selection of one thesis and 14 dissertations. The methodology employed included the application of bibliometric parameters and content analysis on the collected works. The results of the research indicate a greater concentration of works in the state of São Paulo, as well as a predominance of research conducted by wome. There was also a noted limited number of complete theses and dissertations on the subject; it was observed that the analyzed studies mainly focus on women and are based on current legislation related to the protection and assistance of victims of violence and the fragility of services, such as lack of funding and specialized technical staff.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Microestrutura e propriedades de desgaste e corrosão de revestimentos à base de FeCrMoNbB e de CrCoNi produzidos por plasma com arco transferido(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-05-16) Rodrigues, Luana Cristina Miguel; Koga, Guilherme Yuuki; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0933095081175012; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0792-1139; Botta Filho, Walter José; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8956458007749112; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2759-573X; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4945117322835400; https://orcid.org/0009-0004-5031-1189The application of protective coatings on components requiring resistance to wear and corrosion has been widely investigated. However, achieving surfaces that simultaneously combine high resistance to both phenomena is a significant challenge. In this context, selecting the appropriate alloy system and processing method for coating production is essential. The present study aimed to investigate metal coatings processed by Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) using two alloys with distinct microstructural characteristics to achieve specific properties. The alloys studied were: an Fe-based alloy (Fe68Cr8Mo4Nb4B16) and a multiprincipal element alloy (Cr40Co40Ni20). The PTA technique has proven effective in producing coatings with excellent wear and/or corrosion resistance properties, in addition to allowing the production of thick, dense coatings with good metallurgical bonding between the substrate and the coating. The two alloys were gas-atomized and subsequently characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy (OM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC, for the glassy alloy powder). The PTA-produced coatings were characterized by XRD, SEM, OM, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), ASTAR (automatic crystallographic orientation mapping system), and confocal microscopy (CM). Vickers microhardness was measured on the top of the polished coatings. Tribological tests were conducted according to ASTM G133-05 standards on polished surfaces (Al2O3 1-μm) using a reciprocating pin-on-plate configuration. Electrochemical tests included the analysis of potentiodynamic polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in a 0.6M NaCl electrolyte. The results indicate that the PTA-produced coatings, using alloys with innovative microstructures, provide good tribological and/or electrochemical properties.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Fé e materialismo: concordâncias entre o cristianismo católico e o marxismo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-05-16) Loureiro, Murilo Paraluppi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7016915324466152; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5224-3117; Souza, André Ricardo de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7016915324466152Study of historical aspects of the trajectory of Christianity specific to Roman Catholicism in relation to other Christian branches and its elective affinity with anti-capitalist thought and activism, which led to the formation of Marxist militants guided by religious values. The work also discusses some aspects of a contemporary Brazilian Christian facet, closely identified with liberal capitalism, which is neo-Pentecostalism.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A estética do Funk: articulações entre vestuário e território(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-05-16) Garcia, Gabriele Leticia; Mariano, Neusa de Fátima; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5003743301847104This final project in Geography aims to analyze the concepts of fashion, identity and territoriality with the aim of introducing the so-called Aesthetics of Funk in the current context of globalization, understanding how the fashion expressed by this culture can represent a form of territorial resistance. Therefore, the work initially discusses the history of Brazilian funk, from its origin as a culture imported from the United States to its consolidation as a national culture, endowed with ways of life, symbologies, slang and others. After that, the work discusses the conceptualization of identity according to Stuart Hall's precepts, understanding that the manifestations of identity through clothing in the current historical period must reflect the particularities of the postmodern, that is, increasingly fragmented subjects. Thus, thinking about the question of the expression of the identity of the subjects participating in funk culture, the work discusses the Aesthetics of Funk, understanding it as a production of the Brazilian outskirts that, in addition to being fashionable, is also struggle and resistance. To this end, the work included a bibliographic review of its main concepts in order to provide a joint and reflective analysis of previously produced knowledge, articulating the issues of fashion, identity and territoriality. Finally, it concludes that the Aesthetics of Funk represents much more than the daily lives of residents of the outskirts who actively participate in the construction of this culture, but is also loaded with meanings, which are not passed on globally when this style becomes a trend on the internet.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Obtenção de zonas de manejo para fertilidade e estoque de carbono no solo em áreas de pastagem, integração pecuária-floresta e eucalipto(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-05-16) Daniel Filho, Paulo; Figueiredo, Eduardo Barretto de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0436224807041986; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2114435488760881The definition of management zones is a fundamental strategy to improve productive and environmental efficiency in agriculture. This study aimed to identify specific management zones for soil fertility and carbon stock, evaluating four different land use systems in the Cerrado of Goiás: monoculture pasture (P1), polyculture pasture (P2), livestock-forest integration (IPF) and eucalyptus silviculture (EM). A total of 996 soil samples were collected, 830 of which were destined for carbon analysis and 166 for fertility. The data were processed via geostatistical interpolation (ordinary kriging), using the spherical model, and standardized by fuzzy logic to generate thematic maps. The results revealed that the IPF presented the highest average value of CEC (3.28 cmolc dm⁻³) and base saturation (38.58%), while silviculture presented the lowest V% (25.81%). For phosphorus, forestry also stood out with the highest average (6.83 mg dm⁻³), and monoculture pasture presented the lowest values in several attributes. A significant correlation was observed between soil fertility and carbon stock, with emphasis on the most fertile areas presenting higher C contents. The adopted methodology demonstrated effectiveness in defining differentiated management zones, promoting a more rational use of resources and contributing to sustainable agricultural practices adapted to local edaphoclimatic conditions.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Caracterização da prática dos terapeutas ocupacionais na atenção à dor oncológica de pacientes hospitalizados em cuidados paliativos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-05-16) Souza Junior, Odair José Mendes; Bombarda, Tatiana Barbieri; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8070700589653226; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9478-7945; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0331225482398514; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7114-7670Pain is one of the most common symptoms experienced by people with cancer in palliative care. Palliative care requires an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach, considering the premises of comprehensive care. The occupational therapist is part of the care team, aiming to promote the maintenance of the occupational repertoire of these individuals with pain. The study aimed to characterize the practice of occupational therapists in the care of oncological pain of hospitalized patients in palliative care. This is descriptive research with a qualitative approach, and occupational therapists working in hospital wards, in oncological palliative care, with a minimum of 3 months of experience were eligible for participation. Participants were recruited using the snowball method and data were collected through interviews on a virtual platform, which were guided by a characterization form and interview script. The information from the characterization form was analyzed using simple descriptive statistics and the interview data were processed using Bardin's thematic analysis. Ten occupational therapists participated, with an average of approximately 5 years of experience in hospital settings and 4 years in palliative care. The interview data were grouped into 3 categories. The first category was called “Modus operandi of occupational therapists’ practice in cancer pain care” and covered content related to the operationality of the care offered. In this sense, 4 subcategories emerged: Work routine, Knowledge and use of pain assessment instruments, Resources and techniques used for cancer pain management, and Documentation in medical records. The second category, called “Considerations on the repercussions of cancer pain in occupations”, involved information on the professionals’ perception of the influences of pain in occupations. Finally, the category “Challenges faced in cancer pain management” presented the manifestations about difficulties faced in the context of this practice. It was found that there are evaluative weaknesses in the assistance described, regarding the appropriation of instruments and restriction of evaluative components considered in the assessment and reassessment of pain, which may hinder the production of indicators on the effectiveness and importance of the occupational therapist in the team. On the other hand, perspectives of action were noted in which professionals consider associations of pain with occupations, mainly regarding the interference of the symptom in activities of daily living, a factor that characterizes specificities of this professional activity.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Determinação de aminas biogénicas em diferentes amostras de cogumelos por electroforese capilar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-05-16) Guambe, Belton Henrique Condela; Pereira, Elisabete Alves; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3733006795539833; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7016-9862; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7917019322660052; https://orcid.org/0009-0005-3325-5813Mushrooms are widely consumed across various cultures due to their high nutritional value. However, during storage and processing, they may be susceptible to the formation of biogenic amines (BAs) as a result of decarboxylase enzyme activity from colonizing bacteria. BAs, produced through the degradation of amino acids, can pose health risks such as food intoxication when present at elevated levels. Although regulations exist for histamine in certain fish species and their derivatives, there is no comprehensive legislation covering all common amines in foods, including mushrooms. This study aimed to develop an analytical method for the simultaneous determination of putrescine (PUT), histamine (HIS), cadaverine (CAD), spermidine (SPD), spermine (SPM), tyramine (TYR), and tryptamine (TRY) in mushroom samples using capillary electrophoresis (CE). The BAs were separated using a running buffer composed of 15 mmol L⁻¹ imidazole, 30 mmol L⁻¹ crown ether, 7 mmol L⁻¹ α-cyclodextrin, and 3.5 mmol L⁻¹ EDTA, with indirect detection at 214 nm, under a voltage of 15 kV and hydrodynamic injection mode (30 mbar/5 s). The BAs were extracted from mushroom samples using a 0.1 mol L⁻¹ HCl solution. The analytical curve was linear in the range of 2.0 to 10.0 mg L⁻¹ for each amine (R² ≥ 0.998). Repeatability and intermediate precision ranged from 0.6 to 1.9% and 0.9 to 14%, respectively. The method showed satisfactory limits of detection (0.25–0.60 mg L⁻¹) and quantification (0.76 – 1.82 mg L⁻¹), enabling the detection and quantification of low concentrations of BAs in mushroom samples. Recovery values ranged from 94.7 to 110%. The developed method was successfully applied to different mushroom varieties (Hiratake, Champignon de Paris, and Portobello). The concentrations of BAs in the mushroom samples ranged from 1.5 to 14 mg kg⁻¹. Due to the absence of specific regulatory limits for mushrooms, the results were compared to the limits established for other food products and were found to be below the maximum permitted levels, indicating the safety of the analyzed samples for consumption.
