Resumo

Telework began to become natural and even emerge changing the reality of many companies and workers. The changes that the expansion of this modality imposed had impacts on the worker's mental health. The purpose of this article is to examine the impacts on the teleworker's mental health, especially during social isolation. This research is classified as exploratory, with a case study method and a qualitative and quantitative approach, with the application of a questionnaire and interviews based on the Inventory on Work and Risk of Illness (ITRA). The results indicated that feelings of anxiety and sadness are the highlights in the answers, as well as difficulty in concentrating, sadness and irritability. These impacts are triggered mainly by the lack of time for rest, excessive pace and lack of humanization. It was concluded that knowing and acting on issues that afflict teleworkers can make it viable to continue this modality or to combine hybrid regimes with in-person moments. Technologies allow and some functions favor the adoption of this regime, but alleviating issues of suffering and promoting issues of pleasure at work can increase the quality of life of workers and improve the performance of the company itself.
