Resumo

Brazil is one of the largest agricultural producers and exporters in the world, and is consequently a major user of agricultural pesticides to guarantee the sale of crops. It is globally known that many types of pesticides used on plantations are harmful to human health and cause serious damage to the environment, which requires an urgent need for a route of pesticides that has high efficiency, is not harmful to the environment and health human, and is economically viable. In this sense, the biopesticide based on the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis is an alternative that meets the aforementioned criteria to replace the use of pesticides. However, the production process is currently not conducted as industry 4.0 global trends, which may result in less pesticides being eliminated in the market. Given the above, the objective of this work was to evaluate the production process of the biopesticide based on Bacillus thuringiensis and to bring possible interfaces with Industry 4.0, suggesting possibilities of artificial intelligence and internet of things applications in different stages of the productive bioprocess, in order to to obtain a more integrated, optimized and economically viable bioprocess.
