Abstract
This study conducted a systematic review of part of the Brazilian scientific literature on anuran conservation, indexed in the SciELO database between 2005 and 2025. The objective was to map the temporal distribution of publications, identifying thematic trends and geographic gaps. Analysis of the corpus of 24 articles revealed a peak in publications between 2008 and 2013, driven by debates surrounding the Forest Code, followed by a sharp decline between 2020 and 2025, associated with the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic and cuts in scientific funding. The spatial distribution of studies was uneven, with a predominance of research conducted in the Atlantic Forest and critical gaps in biomes under intense agricultural pressure, such as the Cerrado and the Amazon. The main confirmed threats were habitat loss and fragmentation caused by monocultures. It is concluded that research in this field remains predominantly diagnostic, focusing on inventories, and lacks integration with Environmental Education to address cultural prejudice against amphibians and strengthen conservation strategies.
