listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Além do 19 de Abril: A Lei 11.645/08 e o imaginário de estudantes da escola pública sobre os povos originários do Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Queiroz, Pablo Wilson de; Mariano, Neusa de Fátima; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5003743301847104The present work, of an investigative nature, had the purpose of contributing to the promotion of the debate on the context of Brazil's original population in public schools. The research aimed to understand, through critical reflection, the stereotypes and generalizations about the subject present during pedagogical interventions. Based on the experience of two meetings with a final-year high school class at E. E. Dr. Afonso Vergueiro, the goal was to construct the debate and praxis for future educational actions. The specific objectives aligned with the attempt to understand the effective practice of Law 11,645/08 in the school curriculum, problematize the results in the classroom, and include the valorization and recognition of indigenous culture in public schools.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Duração das democracias e das ditaduras na Argentina e no Brasil: o que alguns dados econômicos dizem para o período entre 1970-2022?(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Passos, Augusto do Prado; Silva Junior, Geraldo Edmundo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5138808982229139; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6125307205768736; Rodrigues, Rodrigo Vilela; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7066100737307566Understanding whether public spending contributes to the maintenance of political regimes is relevant for assessing the role of the state in sustaining political order. This study empirically investigates the relationship between public expenditure and the survival of political regimes. The analysis focuses on Brazil and Argentina over the period from 1970 to 2022, using survival analysis techniques. Kaplan–Meier curves and Cox proportional hazards regression models are estimated to evaluate the relationship between public expenditure and the risk of regime transitions, with and without control variables. The results indicate heterogeneous evidence across countries. In the Brazilian case, the findings suggest that increases in public expenditure were associated with a higher occurrence of both democracy and dictatorship. For Argentina, the survival of democracy was consistent with the proposed hypothesis, while dictatorship showed no statistically significant relationship with public expenditure in models including control variables.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Cigarro eletrônico na geração z: análise cienciométrica global (2014-2024) e estratégias pedagógicas de enfrentamento(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Melger, Eloisa Checo; Santos, Mariana dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3185238960982642; Monteiro, Diana Amaral; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0358411551730768; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7302100441543365This study conducted a scientometric and qualitative analysis of international scientific production on the use of electronic cigarettes among adolescents, from 2014 to 2024, with an emphasis on the pedagogical and sociocultural implications of these findings. The results reveal an expanding field, but one marked by strong geographic concentration, predominantly in highincome countries, especially the United States, and by an epistemological predominance of the areas of Medicine and Public Health. This biomedical centrality directs the discussion towards notions of risk, dependence, and behavioral surveillance, relegating educational and critical perspectives to the background. The co-authorship networks highlight the presence of articulated scientific centers, led by authors such as Harrell, Loukas, Clendenen, Kelder, Perry, and Pasch, dedicated primarily to the study of risk factors, the effects of marketing, and school prevention policies. The reviewed physiological and neurobiological evidence indicates that exposure to e-cigarette aerosol compromises neural plasticity and hippocampal function, elucidating the greater vulnerability of the adolescent brain due to the late maturation of the prefrontal cortex and the responsiveness of the reward system. However, the study demonstrates that social determinants, such as socioeconomic status and inequality in exposure to marketing, are crucial factors in the initiation and maintenance of consumption, widening structural disparities. In this sense, the work argues that preventive interventions, when applied as universal models disconnected from the material and affective realities of students, reinforce pedagogical coloniality. Considering Paulo Freire and Michael Apple's Critical Pedagogy, this document proposes a differentiated teaching model that recognizes the social context of young people and prioritizes critical health literacy. The methodological proposal is structured around five pillars: the creation of dialogical spaces; critical media literacy; the accessible incorporation of neuroscience knowledge; cultural and artistic interventions; and a socioecological and community-based approach, aiming to strengthen critical autonomy and emancipatory citizenship.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A sexualização da mulher no cinema: uma análise discursiva da construção do male gaze no filme Anora(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Camargo, Adriely Vieira de; Nogueira, Luciana; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7475342844385424; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4470-5005The present study aims to discursively analyze the sexualization of women in cinema in the film Anora, taking the male gaze as an ideological device that organizes regimes of visibility and processes of signification of the female body in contemporary contexts. The research is grounded in Laura Mulvey’s theories on visual pleasure and cinematic narrative, articulated with the principles of Materialist Discourse Analysis, as developed by Eni Orlandi. Additionally, a Foucauldian perspective is mobilized to examine the relations of power that traverse discursive practices and shape processes of subjectivation, particularly regarding the symbolic domination exerted over female bodies. The corpus consists of scenes in which the character Anora is framed in objectified, eroticized, or subordinated ways, revealing how audiovisual language — camera framing, camera movements, soundtrack, silences, and lexical choices — produces meanings that reinforce patriarchal discursive formations. The analysis demonstrates that Anora is predominantly constructed as a visual spectacle for the male gaze, with her body fragmented, fetishized, and associated with youth, fragility, and eroticization. Even in contemporary productions that appear to portray complex female characters, cinema continues to operate under symbolic structures that naturalize the sexualization of women. The study concludes that the male gaze functions as a mechanism of power and meaning that captures female autonomy, producing dominated subjectivities and contributing to the maintenance of misogynistic discourses within the social imaginary. The research emphasizes the need for critical practices that challenge these ways of looking and build possibilities of signification that escape the dominant patriarchal logic.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Sexualidade digital na adolescência: uma análise cienciométrica das lacunas neurobiológicas e da mediação crítica do professor (2014-2024)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Barbosa, Gabriela Lemes; Santos, Mariana dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3185238960982642; Monteiro, Diana Amaral; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0358411551730768; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9308390540605523Adolescence is a period of intense neural plasticity and reward system maturation, which coincides with an era of digital hyperconnectivity, reconfiguring the construction of sexuality. Early and unmediated exposure to sexualized content acts as a superstimulus to the developing brain, presenting behavioral and neurobiological risks. In this context, the teacher emerges as a fundamental critical mediator. This study aimed to map the global scientific production (2014-2024) on the intersection of adolescent sexuality, digital media, neurobiology, and education, through a quantitative and qualitative scientometric review. Data were collected from the Scopus and Web of Science databases and analyzed using VOSviewer software, supplemented by a content analysis of the most impactful articles. The scientometric results reveal an expanding field with profound imbalances: (1) a geographical hegemony of production in the Global North (led by the USA) and (2) an epistemological predominance in the fields of Medicine and Public Health, which frame the debate within a logic of risk. The most striking finding was the identification of a profound neurobiological gap: the literature studies digital behavior but neglects the adolescent brain that processes these stimuli. The qualitative analysis indicated the overcoming of "banking models" of education, highlighting effective pedagogical approaches such as critical media literacy, inclusive and queer pedagogies, as well as socioecological and decolonial approaches. The results indicate that the role of the teacher extends beyond the traditional function of content transmission, constituting a neuro-pedagogical intervention: their critical mediation contributes to the strengthening of executive functions, particularly the regulatory processes of the prefrontal cortex in the face of the hyperstimuli that activate the limbic system. In this regard, the CTSA approach (Science, Technology, Society, and Environment) is proposed as a pedagogical praxis capable of articulating the “micro” level, the neurobiological foundations of development, with the “macro” dynamics involving technology, culture, and social organization, thereby providing an integrated framework for a critical and contextualized sexual educationlistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Transformação digital e competências da Liderança 4.0: um levantamento com profissionais da região de Sorocaba(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Almeida, Karina Zilocchi; Bento, Raiara Monteiro; Ubeda, Cristina Lourenço; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6696784421924024; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6460-9462; https://orcid.org/0009-0008-0684-5617; https://orcid.org/0009-0005-8582-2648The fourth industrial revolution, marked by the integration of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, has demanded a new posture from leaders in organizations. This work aimed to investigate the structural effects arising from the chemical surface modification of kraft pulp cellulose, correlating microstructural changes with the macroscopic properties of derived cryogels. To this end, cellulose was functionalized via two distinct routes: anionization, through TEMPO ((2,2,6,6-tetrametil-piperidi-1-nil)oxil) oxidation, and cationization, through etherification with GTMAC (Glycidyltrimethylammonium chloride). The success of the reactions was confirmed by Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), which detected the carboxylate band in the TEMPO samples and changes in the ether region 1030 − 1163cm−1 in the GTMAC samples, and by Zeta Potential measurements, which validated the change in surface charges. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) indicated that both surface modifications, in general, increased the material’s crystallinity index. Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) revealed distinct morphologies, such as aggregated nanofibers in GTMAC1 and a more defined fibrillar structure in TEMPO1. The produced cryogels were analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and compression tests. Notably, the GTMAC2 and TEMPO1 samples exhibited the three characteristic compression regimes of stable foams, whereas GTMAC1 and TEMPO2 failed in this regard. Additionally, the GTMAC1 sample demonstrated the highest water percolation rate. The results establish a direct correlation between the type and degree of cellulose surface functionalization and the structural and mechanical properties of the resulting cryogels.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Introdução à teoria das cordas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Vasconcelos, Simão Pedro; Schmidtt, Fernando David Marmolejo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7431492489687677; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6188754677019672In the 1960s, string theory emerged as an attempt to explain strong interactions, but over time it has proven potentially capable of unifying the four fundamental interactions of nature. It proposes that matter, at its most fundamental level, is composed of one-dimensional strings, which is the theory’s only new axiom. In this simple and elegant model, the action is proportional to the area described by the motion of the one-dimensional string, unlike other models where the action is proportional to the length of the line described by the motion of point particles. With this approach, entities and forces naturally arise in the theory’s development, making it the leading candidate for unifying quantum gravity and quantum field theory. Therefore, its study is crucial for high energy physics, as well as for mathematics and understanding the universe. However, the consumer profile has changed, and food choice criteria have begun to consider, above all, the health benefits that products can offer. This study aimed to develop a symbiotic ice cream supplemented with inulin and milk kefir in order to reduce fat content. Inulin concentrations ranging from 3 to 10% were evaluated as substitutes for cream. The ice creams were assessed for pH, soluble solids content, moisture, overrun, mechanical, rheological, and sensory properties. The partial replacement of cream with inulin affected the sensory characteristics of the ice cream, especially in formulations with high inulin concentrations. The control formulation (without inulin) was the most rigid, with lower adhesiveness, greater thermal stability, and lower overrun (9.29%). Fat was crucial for stability and texture in ice cream, but inulin partially compensated for its reduction by improving viscosity and creaminess. The partial substitution of cream with inulin affected the formulations differently: F1 (3%) maintained sensory quality close to the control, while higher inulin levels (5–10%), as in F2, F3, and F4, intensified texture and appearance problems in the product. Ice cream supplemented with inulin and kefir demonstrated potential for production, enabling the development of products with a healthier appeal.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento de aplicação para cidades inteligentes utilizando da plataforma FIWARE(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Minatel, Refael Tury; Ferrari, Fabiano Cutigi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3154345471250570; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7339-8529The accelerated growth of contemporary cities demands technological solutions that promote efficiency in the management of urban resources and services. In this context, Smart Cities use Information and Communication Technologies to transform data into effective decisions. This work investigates and demonstrates, through a practical approach, how the FIWARE platform can be applied in the development of Smart City applications. The main objective was to develop a functional prototype that simulates intelligent monitoring and control of an event hall, integrating IoT sensors (temperature, humidity, CO$_2$, occupancy) and actuators (air conditioner, exhaust fan, alarm) through FIWARE components: Orion Context Broker, IoT Agent JSON, and QuantumLeap. The methodology adopted applied research with a qualitative and exploratory approach, developing the system in a containerized environment with Docker and a web interface in React. The implemented system demonstrated adequate operation, with automation responding in less than 2 seconds, historical data visualization, and responsive interface. The work thoroughly documents the challenges faced (container configuration, CORS, component integration) and the solutions adopted, presents a comparative analysis with the InterSCity platform, and systematizes requirements and best practices for similar projects. The results demonstrate that FIWARE is a viable, robust, and suitable platform for developing Smart City solutions, provided its particularities are understood and appropriate configuration and integration practices are adopted. The main contributions include a replicable functional prototype, consolidated documentation of integration between FIWARE components, and critical analysis that complements the existing literature.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, YOLO-CBAM: Arquitetura YOLOv8 leve com módulo de atenção para segmentação de defeitos em pás de aerogeradores(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Góes, Stevan Henrique Ramon de; Senger, Hermes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3691742159298316; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1273-9809; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6971267908049369; https://orcid.org/0009-0003-6372-9157; Silva, Renato Moraes; Almeida Junior, Jurandy Gomes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2532893661927339; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4495269939725770; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6687-8981; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4998-6996The increasing global demand for clean and sustainable energy has intensified the adoption of renewable technologies, with wind power standing out as one of the most promising sources. Ensuring the structural integrity and operational efficiency of wind turbines is essential, as their blades are constantly exposed to harsh environmental conditions that cause erosion, cracks, and surface wear. Conventional visual inspections, however, remain limited by human subjectivity, high operational costs, and low scalability. In response to these limitations, this work presents an automated visual inspection approach based on deep learning, proposing a lightweight segmentation model derived from the YOLOv8 architecture and enhanced with the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM). The inclusion of attention mechanisms enables the network to better capture spatial and channel-wise features, improving its ability to detect subtle and low-contrast defects while maintaining computational efficiency for real-world deployment. The proposed model, named YOLOv8+CBAM, was trained on cropped and annotated samples from the public Blade30 dataset. Experimental results demonstrate significant performance improvements, with the mean Intersection over Union (mIoU) increasing from 0.57 to 0.61 compared to the baseline YOLOv8. The method shows high sensitivity to small defects, robustness against class imbalance, and efficient inference suitable for resource-constrained environments. Overall, this study contributes to advancing automated defect detection in wind turbine blades by integrating UAV-based imaging and deep learning techniques into a unified segmentation pipeline. Future extensions may explore defect severity quantification and integration with image mosaicking systems to support fully autonomous inspection and maintenance workflows.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeitos da prática espaçada e da prática massiva na aquisição e retenção de um pequeno vocabulário emergente em segunda língua(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Silva, Luísa Moreira Messias Vieira da; Cortez, Mariéle Diniz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7927746584626515This study compared the effects of tact instruction with spaced practice versus tact instruction with massed practice on the acquisition and retention of directly taught vocabulary and emergent vocabulary (native-to-foreign and foreign-to-native intraverbal responses). Six undergraduate students whose native language was Portuguese and who had no prior exposure to the target language (Korean) participated. The experiment was conducted online and synchronously, using a multiple-probe design across participants. Twenty different Korean words were organized into two sets of 10 stimuli each. Half of the participants first learned one set of stimuli using spaced practice and then another set using massed practice. The remaining participants were exposed to the reverse order. Pretest sessions assessed Korean tact responses and bidirectional intraverbal responses between the native and foreign languages prior to instruction. In the massed practice tact instruction condition, 24 Korean tact instruction blocks were conducted in a single day. In the spaced practice tact instruction condition, 24 Korean tact instruction blocks were distributed across three applications of eight blocks each, implemented every seven days. The first posttest for each condition occurred immediately after the presentation of the final training block. Follow-up sessions were conducted 30 and 60 days after instruction in each condition. The results indicated that both types of practice produced high percentages of accuracy in tact and intraverbal responses immediately following instruction. However, spaced practice produced greater retention of both directly taught and emergent responses compared to massed practice, confirming and extending previous studies on the topic.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estruturas sociais do poder corporativo brasileiro: organizações, elites e política econômica(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Gonçalves, Glauber Eduardo; Candido, Silvio Eduardo Alvarez; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0194644249955417; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5275-6577; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6546935733359288; https://orcid.org/0009-0006-3402-9401; Santos, Rodrigo Salles Pereira dos; Grill, Igor Gastal; Sacomano Neto, Mário; Donadone, Júlio Cesar; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6470801142782000; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6648080593915062; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0000793038362058; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7643906508178259Several studies have pointed to the emergence of new configurations of economic elite power in the early twenty-first century. After a long period marked by the dominance of liberal logic, successive financial crises reshaped elite positions and stimulated the reorganization of large corporations as strongholds of economic power, whether through the reconfiguration of structures or through the growing influence of finance over business models and their decision-making centers. This dissertation investigates the social structures of power by analyzing the social spaces of Brazilian economic elites through a Bourdieusian lens. Drawing on the concepts of field, habitus, and capital, it examines elite trajectories using prosopography methods and Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) to identify patterns, homologies, and cleavages that organize the social space of economic power in Brazil. The thesis is composed of three articles that explore distinct dimensions of elite action within the country’s largest economic organizations, using the list of the 100 companies with the highest gross revenues as an empirical reference. The overarching goal of the dissertation is to understand how the social structures of economic power are shaped by elite positions and by the disputes that arise over the legitimate definition of the top of the economic field. Each article contributes to this aim by examining, from different angles, the homologous relations between organizational spaces, forms of capital, and spheres of power. The first article analyzes the configuration of power among major business groups operating in Brazil. It highlightssymbolic disputes surrounding the competitive advantages of Brazilian capitalism, the various modes of state involvement, and the processes of financialization that shape firms’ political influence and generate distinct forms of capital that structure their positions in the economic field. The second article employs the concept of structural homology to examine the trajectories of Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers of major corporations. The analysis identifies three fractions of the economic elite: one associated with state and political capital, characterized by high academic capital; a second linked to economic and entrepreneurial capital, often rooted in family dynasties; and a third composed of representatives of international capital, marked by professional and academic credentials acquired through international experience. These fractions illustrate ongoing struggles for control of strategic positions and for the definition of legitimate criteria of authority within the Brazilian economic field. The third article shows that the upper echelon of economic power is concentrated in banking conglomerates and demonstrates how their connections to the leadership of the National Monetary Council shape the social space of monetary power in Brazil. A comparison between 2011 (Dilma Rousseff’s administration) and 2022 (Jair Bolsonaro’s administration) reveals that, despite divergent economic policy orientations, there remains a relatively rigid structure of competition among bureaucratic technocrats, financial elites, and economists, whose authority is legitimized both scientifically and politically. Nonetheless, the comparison suggests an increasing symbolic influence of financial protagonism, driven by regulatory pressures and transformations in contemporary financial markets.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Comparação dos efeitos da associação de dexmedetomidina e cetamina por via intranasal e intramuscular em mico-leão-da-cara-dourada (Leontopithecus chrysomelas)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Mattos, Renata Martins de Souza; Rassy, Fabrício Braga; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5716428943268681; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6328-8863; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3882025572064868; Cruz, João Batista da; Cartopassi, Silvia Renata Gaido; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6711198385217623; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0016273968912055With the advancement and frequent use of anesthesiology in wildlife medicine, especially in primates, animals with aggressive temperaments and extremely agile, the importance of studies related to alternative routes for administering anesthetic drugs is growing. The intranasal route has advantages in the application of medications, including the fact that it is atraumatic, easy to apply, causes minimal discomfort, has a rapid onset of action, accelerates recovery, and provides good sedation and anxiolysis through the use of sedatives. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate and compare the clinical and physiological effects of dexmedetomidine at a dose of 15 µg/kg associated with ketamine at a dose of 10 mg/kg through the intranasal (IN) and intramuscular (IM) routes in golden-faced lion tamarins (Leontopithecus chrysomelas). Eight individuals were used, two in the pilot study and six in the experimental study, all adults, clinically healthy, weighing between 550 and 680 grams, kept at the São Paulo Zoo, subjected to both anesthetic protocols (IN and IM) at different times. Physiological parameters (heart and respiratory rate, systolic blood pressure, rectal temperature and peripheral oxyhemoglobin saturation) and sedation parameters (spontaneous posture, palpebral reflex, eyeball position, response to sound, resistance to lateral decubitus, and general condition of the animal) were measured at 5-minute intervals throughout the procedure (T5-T30); in addition to measuring blood glucose at the beginning and end, and the periods of anesthesia latency and recovery. The results showed that the IN route provided less sedation, with consequent less alteration of physiological parameters, when compared to the IM route. It is concluded that the intranasal route is a potentially viable and safe alternative for the administration of dexmedetomidine associated with ketamine in golden-headed lion tamarins, promoting mild sedation, ideal for quick and minimally invasive procedures, while the intramuscular route provides moderate to intense sedation of longer duration, being more suitable for prolonged interventions.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, bell hooks e Educação Infantil: por uma pedagogia feminista, antirracista e amorosa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Nazario, Beatriz da Silva; Marcelino, Giovanna Henrique; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5799491433211576This thesis analyzes bell hooks' contribution to the field of early childhood education, with special attention to her conception of gender, her critique of structural inequalities, and the transformative potential of her children's books. Based on the intersectional perspective developed by the author, which articulates race, gender, class, and criticism of capitalism, we seek to understand how hooks offers theoretical, political, and pedagogical foundations for thinking about feminist and anti-racist education from early childhood. The literature review seeks to understand the concept of gender and the relationship between gender inequality and education, the history of childhood and early childhood education in Brazil, situating the child as a social, political, and cultural individual. Then, we discuss the centrality of childhood in hooks' work, highlighting how her writing, marked by the ethics of love, provides an engaged pedagogy focused on freedom. It is expected that the reflections will contribute to expanding the debate on the need of a feminist, anti-racist, and loving pedagogy in early childhood education.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Escola Nacional Florestan Fernandes: tempo-espaço de possibilidades para a formação crítica na educação superior(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Lemos, Adriana dos Santos Reis; Galizia, Fernando Stanzione; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4007795540173093; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9597-0733; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4859759360714176; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2137-4584; Marigo, Adriana Fernandes Coimbra; Fernades, Jarina Rodrigues; Azevedo, Maria Antonia Ramos de; Fonseca, Josefa Sônia Pereira da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4014738511373573; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6612611612919706; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9683880235696496; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0463654957762860This study investigates the potential of the Popular Higher Education model to foster critical formation. The research focused on a formative experience developed at the Florestan Fernandes National School (ENFF), linked to the Landless Rural Workers’ Movement (MST), located in the state of São Paulo. The theoretical framework draws on Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Pedagogy of Hope, and Pedagogy of Autonomy. Anchored in the methodological paradigm of critical theory, the study adopts a qualitative approach and a case study design, combining observation, interviews, and document analysis, guided by content analysis as the interpretive axis. The findings show that ENFF constitutes a time–space of possibility in which political education, knowledge production, and the collective construction of meaning intertwine. In the context studied, Popular Education emerged as an experience of humanization and emancipation, grounded in the dialogue between knowing and doing, the valuing of experience, and the centrality of collective work. The dimensions of Problem-Posing, Dialogical, and Liberating Education were identified in formal educational practices, pedagogical relationships, and the organization of school time and space. The study also found that ENFF reproduces the Pedagogy of the Movement, which challenges the traditional university model by affirming Popular Higher Education as a political and epistemological horizon of resistance and social transformation. The thesis thus reaffirms the strength of Popular Higher Education as a practice of freedom and of education as a political and humanizing act.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento de recurso digital acessível para a alfabetização de estudantes com necessidades complexas de comunicação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Avelan, Danielly; Pedro, Ketilin Mayra; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0991868156805558; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1893-5002; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2329704029391304; https://orcid.org/0009-0001-9230-7936This research focused on the development of a digital resource aimed at the literacy of students with Complex Communication Needs (CCN). Based on the principles of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT), the study sought to understand how accessible digital resources can contribute to the inclusion of students who present limitations in the communicative domain, promoting language development and their entry into the world of reading and writing. The general objective was to develop a digital pedagogical resource to support the literacy process of children with CCN, with a particular focus on the development of phonological awareness. Its design was grounded in AAC principles and included the use of pictograms from the Aragonese Center of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ARASAAC). The methodology adopted was qualitative and applied in nature, involving bibliographic research and the development of the educational product, which was evaluated by 15 educators through an online questionnaire. Responses were collected between September and October 2025 and subsequently analyzed using content analysis as proposed by Bardin (2016). Based on Instructional Design (ID), the multi-format digital book *“The Parrot Alfredo’s Backpack”* was developed. The study results indicated that the resource is applicable in fostering predictive literacy skills, enabling the integration of pedagogical and technological principles in support of inclusion. The development of the resource highlighted the importance of understanding AAC as a mediating tool in the process of acquiring reading and writing skills. It is concluded that the digital book produced has pedagogical and inclusive potential, contributing to the expansion of access while considering the specific needs of the target group of children. However, the need for future validation stages in real contexts is emphasized, in order to more thoroughly assess its limitations and possibilities. The study demonstrates that the development of digital resources from the perspective of AT and AAC is a viable and necessary path to ensure the right to communication and literacy for all students.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Transitando entre percepções acerca das “juventudes”: construções que perpassam representações políticas e vivências(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-15) Albino, Ana Carolina dos Santos; Malfitano, Ana Paula Serrata; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1462870858750395; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0502-3194In Brazil, youth gained visibility on the political agenda as a specific target group for explicit action only after the enactment of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA) in 1990. Until then, the design of public policies that promoted actions aimed at their demands and sought to understand their characteristics did not specify this audience, in a general assumption in the term “child and youth policies,” which were in fact aimed at children. After the ECA, and especially in the first decades of the 21st century, youth gained prominence on the political scene in their specificity. It is currently considered a priority group, having been incorporated nominally into the Brazilian Federal Constitution, in constant dialogue with the various demands presented by different social spheres. In this process, it is necessary to understand how this group is expressed in the political sphere, starting from the official approach of public policies aimed at youth, articulating this analysis with the perceptions that young people themselves have of themselves and the possibilities they recognize in their realities. OBJECTIVE: To understand how young people are represented in current Brazilian public policies and what perceptions young people themselves have of themselves and their realities. METHODOLOGY: The research was conducted in two phases: documentary analysis of official records of public policies that specify their actions for young people, seeking to reveal the different definitions of this group; and application of a semi-open questionnaire directed at young people, disseminated via a virtual network, seeking a diversity of responses about their perceptions of their reality. RESULTS: There is a discursive effort to recognize plural rights, but actions remain fragmented, focused, and poorly connected to the reality of young people. Many young people are unaware of or do not access existing programs, highlighting the gap between institutional proposals and lived experience. CONCLUSION: It is urgent to think of young people as subjects of rights in a universal and comprehensive manner. In this sense, strengthening collective spaces for social participation is crucial to guiding practices and policies that are more integrated, responsive, and consistent with the multiple experiences of young people.
