The assessment of respiratory muscles by the measure of maximal inspiratory (MIP) and expiratory (MEP) pressures, have been routinely applied in the physical therapy clinical practice. However, these measures, especially MEP, have been contraindicated in some situations because it is believed that the cardiovascular responses obtained in MEP are similar to found during Valsalva maneuver (VM). So, based in these similarities between the responses two studies were done. The first study had as principal purpose to evaluate the heart rate (HR) during MEP and VM in healthy young, at different postures, to identify whether and in which situation the MEP reproduces the responses obtained in VM and additionally, to estimate the workload (W) realized during the maneuver. Twelve healthy young men (25±2 years) participated in this study and were evaluated, instructed and familiarized with the maneuvers, which were performed at supine and sitting positions. The VM was characterized by an expiratory effort (40 mmHg) against a manometer for 15 s. The MEP measure has been performed according to the American Thoracic Society. The results obtained in this study show that heart rate variation (ΔHR) was not influenced by the position, and during VM, the ΔHR and the Valsalva index (VI) were higher than the ΔHR and MEP index (MEPI) values (p<0.001). Besides, the estimated workload of the maneuvers was statistically different (p<0.001) between the maneuvers, being that the Wtotal was higher in VM and the Wisotime and Wisotime/ΔFCisotime were higher in MEP. Based in these results it could be concluded that in the study conditions the MEP does not reproduces the HR response observed in the VM in healthy young men. However, the results obtained in the first study allowed comparing only the cardiac stress generated by the maneuvers in a specific age, doing that the blood pressure (BP), cardiac output (CO), stroke volume (SV) and peripheral vascular resistance (PVR) responses remain unknown. Furthermore, little is known about the cardiovascular response during MEP measure in others age and distinct clinical conditions, once that aging process promotes important structural and functional alterations in the respiratory, cardiovascular and autonomic systems. Therefore, the second study had as main purpose to compare the cardiovascular response by the analysis of mean arterial pressure (PAM), CO, SV, HR and PVR, during VM and MEP. In addition to evaluate the effect of aging process over the cardiovascular responses obtained during the different maneuvers by the young (YG) and middle-age group (MAG). Twenty-eight healthy volunteers of male gender participated in this study and were divided in two groups: YG (n=15) and MAG (n=13) with mean age of 25±5 years and 50±5 years, respectively. All volunteers were evaluated, instructed and familiarized with the maneuvers (VM and MEP), which were performed at sitting position following the same procedure used in the first study. The main results of this study show that: there isn t difference between CO responses during the maneuvers (p>0.05); the PAM responses (PAMpeak, PAMisotime, ΔPAM and ΔPAMisotime) and PVR (PVRisotime e ΔPVRisotime) were higher during MEP measure, differently of SV (SVpeak, SVnadir, ΔSV) and HR (HRpeak, HRnadir, HRisotime, ΔHR, ΔHRisotime and VI) which were higher during VM. Furthermore, it was observed that the MEP and PAM values were not influenced by the group (p>0.05), and the MAG have lower values than the YG to CO, HR, SV except to PVR. So, based in these results it could be concluded that the MEP measure generates cardiovascular responses similar to that observed during VM, relative to the CO, and higher values of PAM than that observed in VM. Besides, the maneuver execution time seems to be the great responsible for the activation of different physiological mechanisms involved on the control of these responses. Furthermore, it seems like the aging influences the HR and PVR responses during MV and MEP.

From Fordism, we see that the different ways of thinking about organizational objectives influenced the organization of work in factories, and in parallel, quality management has also kept pace with changes in those goals. The increased complexity of products, among other factors, requires greater sophistication of quality from the 50's. This increased complexity makes the quality so far focused exclusively on conformance to specifications, within their factories, pass to cover the use of the product design, involving all departments of the company. Currently, the ultimate goal of corporations is to deliver shareholder value, generating changes in organizations. Through a case study, this paper aims to explore the influence of financialization in quality management. The research was conducted in an auto-part industry whose recent history is marked by the acquisition process by a multinational company controlled by a U.S. investment.

Occupational therapy aims to enable people to engage in the roles, tasks and activities that have meaning for them in their daily lives and that define their lives, including work. The idea of Support Paradigm emphasizes the need to not only prepare the person with disabilities, but also the environment. The general objective of the study was to characterize a servants with disabilities IFES checking its functionality, autonomy and satisfaction. The study included nine technical and administrative staff with disabilities who entered between 2000 and 2012 IFES, through public tender with vacancies for persons with disabilities in accordance with the Federal Decree 3298/1999. Three instruments were applied: Functional Independence Measure (FIM); Checklist for analysis of the conditions of the post Work Computer (Checklist) and a semi-structured interview. In the analysis of MIF the participants obtained scores of independence modified and independence total; in Checklist a post was classified with ergonomic conditions good and the others as reasonable and an interview semi-structured: of the nine interviewed, seven make use of technology Assistive (TA) in their daily, and only one specific to work and everyone if showed satisfied with their performance and find that, at the moment, require no another resource. The servers interviewed have deficiencies lightweight and high level of schooling, clashing than appears often in literature. However, none of them would have entered a university without the "Quota Law". However, due to the small sample size, it is not possible to say that people with mild disabilities, if they tried to enter through the wide competition would be reproved for being harmed by their disability at the time of the contest, or if they will just thicken the immense group qualified people who are reproved in public tenders. Wonders then that this law may be benefiting just a very specific portion of people with disabilities. So necessary is a wider policy to continue protecting people with mild disabilities, but look especially for people with moderate and severe disabilities so that they can enter the labor market and thereby exercise their citizenship. Anyway, it is essential to provide the physical tools, intellectual and social so that the disabled person is effectively included into society as lawful citizen held and participatory.

The organ donation and transplantation have been a much discussed topic worldwide because of the great advances that medicine has made in recent years. However, even relevant, this topic still generates controversy and discomfort because most of the population, including many health students have a insufficient knowledge about laws which govern the process of donation and transplantation in Brazil, as well as basic issues but fundamental on the subject. The aim of this study is to development a prototype of a distance learning course, so that students in the health field may have the opportunity to learn about organ donation and transplantation, since the topic is hardly offered during graduation in most of Brazilian Universities. We picked up for the creation of a online course prototype because the internet being currently too much strong to teaching and search. The Distance Education together the internet became as an effective tool in the teaching-learning students, breaking down barriers imposed by time and distance. The literature review in the area, the analysis of the politicalpedagogical projects of health courses, as well as the information available on the Internet and the knowledge of the 150 fourth graders of the Federal University of São Carlos through a structured questionnaire served as support for the creation of the prototype. The data obtained from the questionnaire were coded, organized and analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS ®). The results show that it is essential to approach the subject during the graduation training of future professionals capable of changing reality of the country about the process of organ donation and transplantation.

The increase number of food contamination cases, associated with increasing market competition, fostered the adoption and diffusion of new legal rules and certification systems related to food safety. Technical and sanitary barriers were created by import countries. The European Union has demanded traceability as a condition to have access to its market. These demand had impact on the national regulatory environment for food safety. In 2002, The Brazilian System of Identification and Certification of Bovine and Bubaline Origin (SISBOV) was created. The SISBOV certification is necessary, but not sufficient condition to export to EU market. The farm must also be part of TRACES (Trade Control and Expert System) certification. TRACES is a network created by EU for veterinary health which notifies, certifies and monitors trade in animals and animal products. However, the level of diffusion of this certification is low. A small number of farms have adopted and technological heterogeneity persists in bovine livestock production in Brazil. The aim of this thesis is to identify and analyze determinants of adoption of SISBOV and TRACES certification at the farm level in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The literature on technology adoption and entrepreneurship provides a theoretical framework to understand how farmers behave with regard to an innovation. A survey questionnaire was used to get the information on farmer and farm characteristics. The logit model was used to analyze the cross section data from a sample of 32 certified farms and 52 non-certified counterfactual farms. The results suggest that the adoption of feedlot production system, associated to the adoption of hedge mechanisms, is an important determinant of the adoption of the certification. There is complementarity between the technologies. Also, the livestock and farm size, education, participation on farmer organization and being a member of a group of farmers informally organized, previous experience with other certification, business travels abroad and access to specialized information by web play a significant role in the adoption of both SISBOV and TRACES certification.

This paper focuses on the practice of resistance of the maroon organization in the community of Fojo in Itacaré Bahia, and its educational processes. It aims at understanding how these educational processes have contributed to the daily experiences of the constituent elements of resistance in the black community, which are ancestry, memory and identity. This study is theoretically based on popular education authors, especially Paulo Freire, Ernani Maria Fiori and Petronilla Beatriz Gonçalves e Silva. It is also based on popular culture and epistemology as discussed by Enrique Dussel and Boaventura de Souza Santos, in order for us to understand the maroons in their epistemology of resistance. The ethnographic research method was supported by collaborative knowledge. The inclusion in the community took place on two different moments: from March to September 2011 and from April to May 2012. 33 people from eight families participated in the research. The data collected during the insertion period, recorded in a field diary, were taken from speeches, gestures, sceneries, Association meetings, the living-room, the kitchen, the backyard, the yard front and side of the house, the way of access to the houses, the classroom, the area in front of the school, the riverside. We also interviewed six locals. The data indicate that the families daily practices, the households organization, the relationship with nature, the meaning of women to the community and the extent of territory beyond the geographical borders reveal the existence of ancestral ethos and structure epistemological and historical strategies of resistance in the black community and their educational processes. The research points to three possible ways of analyzing the educational processes in relation to maroon resistance: the existential household, the epistemology of nature and the community territory. Besides presenting and discussing such processes, we also try to establish possible dialogues between the education processes of the community and those of the local school. We understand that men and women in the maroon community have the school as a place for the strengthening of their identity territories.

Researches for monitoring innovation produce quantitative and statistical results, concerning the efforts of companies to innovate, on the results obtained from these efforts, and the impact of innovation on business results. For its quantitative and statistical, these research report, for example, the percentage of companies that have launched new products, but do not tell what these new products. This research presents a strategy for monitoring innovation through quantitative and descriptive also. Named for Continuous Monitoring of Innovation, the proposed strategy is based on a database supplied by the companies themselves and innovative institutions. To evaluate experimentally the proposed model, an experimental study was conducted in a number of technology companies in the city of São Carlos - SP. Forty-eight companies presented themselves voluntarily reporting their efforts to innovate, innovations produced in the last 3 years, and the impact of these innovations on business results. A prototype database was developed, helping to collect the information and consultation. The results of the case study indicate that it is possible to monitor innovation collecting quantitative information combined with descriptive information. The results also indicate that it is possible, from the proposed strategy, generate indicators compatible with those produced by traditional research on innovation, for comparison purposes, and add descriptive information to these indicators, enriching our understanding of innovation and innovative companies on . This paper contributes by proposing innovative strategy for monitoring innovation, and collect initial information about its viability. The results invite further research.

The Asperger nuisance is considered a global development nuisance with loss in many areas: social interaction, communication and interests and restrict activities. People with the nuisance, in general, do not present problems of cognitive and verbal fluency is evident. The searches about the academics abilities of reading and writing to this population are scarce in the scientific literature. A student joined this research with a previous Asperger diagnostic, he was in his last year on high school, 9 years and 11 months old. The present search identified the positive points and the academic deficits in reading and writing of the student; present strategies, programs and teaching reviews of individualized teaching were made. It was implemented five programming of teaching to the specific difficulties of the student, with the progression criterion from the repertory development of the student. It was: 1) Module of Application 2 of the Reading Program and dictation managed by the software Aprendendo a ler e escrever em pequenos passos; 2)Complemented activity of auditory discrimination; 3) Program to exchange phonemic voiced and unvoiced; 4) Vocalic meeting program and 5) Read texts. The experimental designs used were a multiple base line to the programs 1 and 5 and the design of pre and post test to the programs 3 and 4. The general goals about reading were: 1) Read with precision complex words from the portuguese language and texts; 2) Read with fluency; 3) Read with understanding. About the writing: 1) Write with precision under control dictation. The specific goals were relacted to: discriminate accurately between words dictated and words printed that presented phonemes deaf and sound; read and write with precision with meeting vowel; write with a right sequence of words of configuration vowel-word-consonant-vowel. The results showed satisfactory and achieved the goal presented. The research showed still the importance of elaboration of teaching strategies based in the verification of needs and students potential, beyond teaching and consistent evaluations, systematic and consistent.

The inclusion of children and adolescents in the mental health field was late and there s a gap between demand and offer of assistance in the field. Currently, there are actions to implement a policy on mental health of children and adolescents seeking to build a network of services, which main actions are the implementation of Psychosocial Care Centers for Children and Youth (CAPSi) and building strategies for intersectorial articulation between health mental and sectors that assist children and adolescents. The occupational therapist (OT) is a professional who makes up the team of CAPSi and is present in the process of effective actions aimed at this population. There are still few national and international studies published over the actions of the OT in child and adolescent mental health. This study aimed to characterize the inclusion of OT in CAPSi and identify the actions taken by them with users. Furthermore, it aimed to characterize the specific dynamics of CAPSi; characterize the users cared by occupational therapists in CAPSi; identify, by the perspective of occupational therapists, if CAPSi respond to Brazilian public policies of child and adolescent mental health; and identify possible gaps during graduation for OT work in the field of child and adolescent mental health. This is a descriptive study, with quantitative and qualitative approach. A total of 24 occupational therapists inserted in 18 units CAPSi the State of São Paulo participated on this study. To data collection, it was used a questionnaire, with presentation of open and closed questions. It was found that 26 of 38 units CAPSi in the State of São Paulo have occupational therapist in your staff. It was found that groups and workshops are the main programs, projects and activities offered to users and groups are the main actions to relatives. The participants assess that, even with limitations, the actions taken in the units respond to the proposals of Brazilian public policies and SUS. The only actions, which characterize the specificity of occupational therapy, undertaken by occupational therapists are related to the tools used by this professional such as analysis of activity, social inclusion and activities in daily life, as the focus on activities of daily living. It was found that the actions of occupational therapists are guided by aspects related to users such as their needs and diagnosis. Regarding gaps during graduation, the participants pointed out the insufficient content of basic/clinical disciplines on child and adolescent mental health. It s Indicated the need to reflect on the CAPSi not being the only equipment responsible for assisting the child and youth with psychological distress, necessitating the realization and consolidation of intersectoral actions to achieve psychosocial rehabilitation. It is believed that this study will assist the knowledge produced in the field of child and adolescent mental health, knowledge about the practices and training of occupational therapists in this field, as well as contribute to reflections about public policy and improving interventions.

This work aimed at developing an ontology of the football domain based on the model of classes of objects proposed by Gaston Gross (1994). The construction of an ontology in general follows a methodology based on the semantic tradition through which conceptual classes are established according to the conceiver‟s judgment. The proposal of this study was to arrive at semantic classes through the application of syntactic criteria which may be reproduced by other researchers. In order to do that, we use the theory proposed on Harris (1976), who considers the sentence as the minimal unit of meaning and a grammar of operators and arguments. The classes of objects are semantic classes selected from the argumental restrictions of each predicate.

Breastfeeding (AM), basic to the health, quality of life and survival of children in the first year of life, proved to be an effective and economical way for reducing morbidity and mortality. Primary Health Care (APS) is an important strategy for promotion and support of breastfeeding. The early cessation of breastfeeding (AME) continues being important public health problem. Evaluation of indicators of prevalence of breastfeeding in different locations is essential for proposing policies and implementation of promotion, protection and support of AM focused on the found situations. This study aimed to analyze the needs of actions to promote, protect and support the PM in APS, the perspective of the staff of USF, in the city of Araraquara, SP, from prevalence in children under six months in 2009, according to the AM indicators, a descriptive analytical approach defined by the World Health Organization, a quantitative and qualitative study. In the first step, quantitative, a secondary data about the prevalence of breastfeeding in children under six months old, rose, using the database Amamunic, 2009, for each USF in this city, transmitted to the researcher, via Internet, by the General Coordination Breastfeeding and Municipalities Project, Institute of Health State Health Secretariat of São Paulo-SP. The sample consisted of 1882 children less than one year old, of which 886 had six months. It was calculated with the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), with the prevalence in each AME of each USF, by municipality. Two teams of USF with higher indicators of prevalence in AME and two groups with the smaller of these indicators were selected to participate in the second stage (qualitative). The purpose of the focus groups was to analyze the needs of actions to promote, protect and support the PM in APS, in view of USF teams. The results were validated by statistical significance, or t- from student, for comparison of frequency and the Qui-square test for comparison of frequency distribution. In the quantitative phase was identified that 30% of children were exclusively breastfed, which is a wide variation between the prevalence of AME among USF and some factors determinants of AME in the municipality. In the qualitative showed up four thematic units: the justifications for the profile of the prevalence of breastfeeding, the determinants of AM situation, the role of the ESF in promoting, protecting and supporting breastfeeding and proposals for the promotion, protection and support of AM in family health. Regarding the determinants of AM showed the relevance of municipality's child-birth institutions and some aspects as difficulties to maternal breastfeeding. The facilities and the difficulties to its practice related to process of work s development on USF were reported in the teams´ work. The following proposals were mentioned: the need for public policies to stimulate AM continuously, changes in the labor process in his USF, incorporating the family shares with women in AM. It is expected that these results may support health managers in planning and adoption of new actions of promotion, protection and support for breastfeeding in this municipality.

The hippotherapy is a therapeutic and educational horse that uses an interdisciplinary approach in seeking the biopsychosocial development of people with special needs. Among the various types of special needs highlights the disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), children with this disorder characterized by a level of attention to inappropriate for their age, developmental disorder that causes motor, perceptual , cognitive and behavioral. The aim of this study is to assess the effect of a program of hippotherapy on the psychomotor development of children with ADHD indicative. Regarding the method, we developed an exploratory study of type experimental manipulation. Participants were five children aged between 7 and 10 years, coming from a city in the interior of São Paulo. In order to identify children with ADHD indicative of the scale was employed MTA SNAP-IV (ADHD rating scale for Swanson, Phelan and Nonam - version IV). Before and after the intervention period, study participants underwent an evaluation based Motor Development Scale (EDM). The intervention consisted of a program of education called equine therapy / rehabilitation, and was composed of 24 sessions, lasting 30 minutes, recorded systematically through filming and field diary. The results were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by the Wilcoxon paired test with p <0.05 in combination with a descriptive analysis of the evolution of the practitioners. Through the analysis of the results showed that the program influenced in all studied motor skills, and psychomotor aspects more influenced by hippotherapy program, according to the scale of motor development (EDM), were respectively spatial organization, balance, motor skills thin body schema, and the lowest was observed in the motor influence global and temporal organization. Since in the post-test, the motor age overall was statistically significant, it is concluded, in general, that the hippotherapy program was effective for the development of psychomotor aspects of children with ADHD indicative.

This work is an investigation of the features used in cohesive narratives produced by children in the third year of elementary school. To examine this issue, we chose to analyze the use of terms he (s) and she (s), since they are quite recurrent in productions presented by students of the early years, based on the Theory of Predicative and Enunciative Operations presented by linguist Antoine Culioli and also texts by scholars who base their work on that enunciative theory. We represent that any linguistic materialization and therefore those having the question we focused by cohesive, reflecting a complex linguistic-cognitive process of the subject and found that often the use of the terms he (s) and her (s) associated all other marks of the statement emphasizes the character of indeterminate and ambiguous language. This occurs especially when the chosen mark set used by the students and does not determine the meaning, which means that text cohesion is through the use of all marks of utterance and not only through the relation between specific terms. The research is justified by the need to understand the process of meaning as a result of the activity of language and thinking about the cohesive marks so that we overcome the about the polarization and the emphasis the language as a product but as a result of activity of the subject, which requires the linkage between language and language and lexicon and grammar.

The present study aimed to consider ways of government resistance in contemporary life. The study has started from an archive consisting of twenty field notebooks, which registered an experience of pedagogic coordination in a social project called Pão & Beleza (between 2007 and 2010), realized by Centro de Defesa dos Direitos Humanos de Petrópolis RJ. As reference of life a group of homeless, people served by the project mentioned above, which in this study were called ungovernable, has been taken. To work with this archive the conceptual tools forged by the philosophy of difference and its authors Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze has been used seeking to draw a conceptual cartography. This cartography has the affections as a first step towards the conceptual elaboration, ie, first let themselves be influenced by the forces present in the research. These affects force us to think and thereby to create means to make visible and sayable these forces that belongs to the field of sensations. The inconstancy, refusal and courage or truth are the concepts used to outline the common name ungovernable. The inconstancy, which is between the acceptance of a certain mode of government of others over himself and the government of the self over the self; refusal, founding gesture of an ungovernable way of life, and the courage of truth, inspired by cynical, which is an offshoot and a complement of refusal.

The inclusion of students with disabilities in regular education is a reality and Physical Education is one of the responsible subjects for this process to occur. Physical Education and disabled people have suffered segregation and exclusion and have been facing great difficulties in the paradigm of inclusion. Hence, some questions arise: How is the process of inclusion of disabled students in Physical Education classes happening? What are the difficulties of the Physical Education teacher when facing the inclusion of these students? Such questions conducted the research, which is aimed at: investigating (alongside teachers from local elementary schools in a city in the State of São Paulo in classrooms with disabled students in the inclusion process) how the inclusion of these students is happening; verifying the difficulties encountered in professional practice; then, sensitizing Physical Education teachers, using group chats to share experiences and knowledge related to daily classes. The adopted methodology for this study was a descriptive qualitative research. Semi-structured interviews were performed with principals of municipal schools, resource room teachers and Physical Education teachers in classrooms with disabled students; observation and recording of physical education classes were also carried, as group chats with teachers, who then exchanged experiences and knowledge. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and analyzed in the form of meaning units. It was possible to notice that the Department of Education (through the Division of Special Education) and school directors know that much has to be done so that the school becomes a place of valuing differences. Thus, we are able to suggest improvements and discuss problems related to needs the school system presents.

The elaboration of highly-sensitive and selective functional nanobiosensors has significant applications for purposes of resilience and conservation of natural resources, to contribute on projects aimed to pointing out degraded and contaminated areas (soil and water), as well as being a quality indicator. In the present work, a nanobiosensor has been developed based on the biomimicry of the action mechanism of the herbicides in plants coupled with the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) tools. To sense the herbicide molecule at very low concentrations, the technique of the sensor construction was based on chemical functionalization of the surfaces of the AFM probes and substrate in order to prioritize covalent bonds and to improve the molecules flexibility, as well as to achieve reproducibility and accurate results. The architecture and molecular design of the nanobiosensor were based on the molecular spatial arrangement, binding efficiency and localization, host-guest specificity, and its binding energies which were analyzed by Molecular Docking and Molecular Dynamics Simulation. The results were based on the adhesion force (carried out by force curves data) between the AFM probe functionalized with ACCase enzyme and the substrate functionalized with herbicides. The results indicate that the specific target molecule of agrochemical was efficient, when compared with others nonspecific agrochemicals. The difference between the values of specific recognition (diclofop) and nonspecific (imazaquin, metsulfuron and glyphosate) is, on average, 90%. This evidence validates the selectivity and specificity of the nanobiosensor. This work presents the first evidence of nanolevel detection of diclofop by AFM probes sensors.
