listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Atuação e formação em estimulação precoce : caracterização da percepção dos profissionais em três instituições(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Bobrek, Andreia; Gil, Maria Stella Coutinho de Alcântara; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1673770301699940; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0727084816163852In Brazilian context, the official guideline recommends that Early Stimulation have the purpose of providing the development of children with special needs. In the use of the institutions, this practice involves different types of professionals and of guided acquirements to children with risk to their development. The diversity of practices makes it relevant to describe the performance of the professionals that work in Early Stimulation programs as a way of enabling the improvement of the work carried out, aiming the harmonization of concepts, guidelines and practices. In this research, the purpose was to describe the performance of 13 professionals experienced in working at early stimulation programs, in three institutions, and to analyze the relationships established by these professionals between their professional practice and the knowledge acquired during graduation course. For this purpose, an exploratory study was carried out, whose data collection consisted of semistructured interviews with the abovementioned professionals and the collection of the institutions’ data through consults to the coordination and to the available documents. Regarding the results, the interviewed professionals conceived early stimulation as the provision of opportunities to the child’s development; and/or support to the Family or the prevention of risk for the development. The professionals considered it important for a good service in the early stimulation program the professional involvement and/or specific working conditions and/or partnership with the family. Regarding the difficulties faced in carrying out the work, the reports were focused on the lack of familiar participation/involvement, the inadequacy of work conditions and the work with the child itself. Regarding the preparation/training that the Higher Education Institution (HEI) offered for the work in early stimulation program, eight interviewed professionals informed that the graduation course offered the training on the Early Stimulation; however, half of them related that this training was inadequate/superficial. From the thirteen professionals, five declared that the HEI did not offer preparation/training to work with early stimulation. From all the professionals, tem considered that the HEI could have offered better training, even those that offered some; from those tem, five declared that there should be better articulation between theory and practice.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo de inserção de jogos computadorizados como recurso complementar ao ensino de leitura(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Marques, Leonardo Brandão; Souza, Deisy das Graças de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4404800720856419; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3705407022339177The literature cites educational games as a procedure that increase the spontaneous engagement in educational task and assist the retention of what was learned. Choice procedures and the identification of preference among different teaching procedures can be taken as an indicator of further spontaneous engagement .Were proposed two complementary studies to investigate the influence of electronic games in the learning of reading: The Study 1 tested an application of a software and a procedure for teaching reading in large-scale (a school environment) with 11 participants; the Study 2 incorporated this same teaching procedure in a game (gamified version) and assessed the preference between the game and the standard condition of teaching (without game) among 27 elementary students. The results indicated that for both conditions (standard and gamified) the teaching program was effective in teaching basic reading skills. Most participants presented preference for the gamebased teaching condition format. The gains in reading performances were kept in this condition and the number of repetitions of the teaching procedure was also lower in game situation. It has not been possible to identify a preference between game or the conventional procedure for about 30% of the participants. Participants who showed preference for Game condition tended to repeat less blocks of training components of each teaching session. A task who asked the students to choose between the default condition and return to the classroom indicated that participants with preference for Game condition remained engaged in teaching procedure when was given the opportunity to return to the classroom. The discussion focuses on the parameters used in the choice task, pointing manipulations that optimizes the method to measure the preference, in order to make it more sensitive to different measures of the game as a motivational factor.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo dos Doryctinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) em áreas de mata da região sudeste brasileira(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Pinto, Clóvis Sormus de Castro; Dias, Angélica Maria Penteado Martins; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8637344058859147; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1027467404762561The Hymenoptera parasitoids have great importance in maintaining of the environmental balance in the population control of many insect hosts. For the present study, was made a faunistic survey of Doryctinae from collected at INCT- Hympar Sudeste. Samples were collected in 32 municipalities each one of them with five sampling points, excluding São Luís do Paraitinga city with seven points, all with different sampling efforts. To capture of insects, Malaise, Moericke and swep of vegetation traps were used. The total number of individuals captured was 8,210 specimens, distributed in 32 valid genera, during the period between 2009 and 2011. Jundiaí city had the largest number of specimens of Doryctinae, with 1,411 individuals and occurrence frequency of 17.18%, and also the largest genus richness, with 15 in total. Seven municipalities had a unique genus to the location. Heterospilus Haliday was the dominant genus with 83.11% of the total collected specimens (6,824). The collection method with which most individuals was captured was swep of vegetation with 47.24% of the total Doryctinae collected by this technique (1,239). Although avoidance about 7% of the biome, and to be quite fragmented, the Atlantic Forest concentrated at Southeastern region in Brazil presented very abundant and rich in genus of Doryctinae, being found in this work two of them endemic to the Atlantic Forest: Percnobracon Kieffer and Rimacollus Marsh. Six new species of Hecabolus Curtis, a new species of Lissodoryctes Marsh, and a new species and first record of Nervellius Roman, and three new first records of Megaloproctus Schulz were published during the development of this work.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Caracterização dos fatores para implantação do processo de Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): um estudo multicaso(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Pedroso, Carolina Belotti; Silva, Andrea Lago da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4287346156065964In today's dynamic market scenario to develop skills for quick and assertive decision making is still one of the challenges faced by companies around the world. In order to assist managers to meet the demand in a competitive way, a new approach to integrated management of business processes has emerged in recent years the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning). This approach encompasses the master production planning, demand planning and managing the flow of information, resulting in a unique planning to the company. Thus, the purpose of this research is to characterize the success factors for S&OP implementation in three companies that are in distinct S&OP maturity level. Firstly, a Literature Review was conducted about Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), in order to identify relevant points in literature, for this research. For this porpouse, it was used the Systematic Literature Review principles. The empirical part of the research included the method of multi case study in which three organizations that have already deployed the S&OP, but are in different stages of maturity, were investigated in order to clarify different perspectives of the research problem and find common characteristics. After conducting semi-structured interviews, that were used as a research tool, it was used the technique of content analysis to survey the main features of the implementation of S&OP process. From the results, it was possible to develop a set of factors for companies wishing to deploy the process, in which the main determining factors of success were: the involvement of senior management, cross-functional integration, metrics and performance monitoring, information systems and understanding of the process or training. Conversely, the main barriers identified in the study included the culture of silos and inadequate technology and information systems. It is assumed that both external variables such as culture and local economy and internal variables, such as the production strategy adopted, can influence the process of S&OP, elements yet not explored by the literature about the subject.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Procedimentos para gestão de ocorrência de inundações em cidades de pequeno e médio portes com o uso de SIG e logística humanitária. Estudo de caso: cidade de Jahu, SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Feltrin, Talita Fernanda; Raia Junior, Archimedes Azevedo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6413793013018019; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9165563114411890The scenarios of natural disasters are a reality today, and tend to become increasingly frequent in view of climate change that generate abnormal conditions intensively, since the increase of people living without adequate infrastructure susceptible to the ocurrence of disaster areas, even increasing number of vehicles on the streets, which may cause and/or exacerbate the intensity of disasters. In Brazil, municipalities suffer from landslides, strong winds, drought and floods mainly. Through emergency situations, the logistics network is fundamental to manage the supplies should be stored in strategic locations and care teams should be positioned near the sites affected by the disaster and may meet in a timely manner, especially sites that were affected with greater intensity. In view of this, it is necessary, through the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) map areas of risk, define and quantify the strategic points that will support the management of the Humanitarian Logistics, in order to ensure lower response time, minimize risk, and optimal performance in cases of emergency contingencies. Based on these aspects, this research aimed to develop a method of disaster management, by analyzing the areas of floods risk, through a Geographic Information System, seeking to identify, from this mapping, the locations that serve as supply warehouses and central of assistance for care teams. GIS, as well as LSS (Logistics Support System), tool that was used in this research, assisted in the preparation of the flow procedures for the logistics management of flooding for small and medium cities. Through simulations, could observe that for the case of a mapping realized using models and mathematical methods and due to lack of data registered along the basin studies, that was used the Method Muskingum-Cunge that best applied to types of data collected. Whit this, the study focused only on the river macrodrainage Jahu. To determine the strategic locations were considered urban facilities such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and others to act as local shelters and warehouses for humanitarian assistance. With the use of LSS could be analyzed that the tool allows organizing, quantify and qualify supplies received and distributed, to avoid the lack of essential surpimentos unnecessary and excessive supplies. Finally, from the use of LSS and GIS tools as well as the development of procedures for the management of humanitarian logistics is possible prepare the contingency plan for the occurrence of flooding to attend the Federal Law 12,608, with the main objective to reduce the time of decision making by Civil Defense and service teams.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Eletrodo de diamante dopado com boro para a determinação voltamétrica/amperométrica de antihelmínticos e anti-hipertensivos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Lourenção, Bruna Cláudia; Fatibello Filho, Orlando; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9859737944357808; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0205548799348406In this work it was developed, firstly, one method for determination of anthelmintic albendazole (ABZ) using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and the boron doped diamond (BDD) electrode catholically pretreated (BDD-CPT). The corresponding analytical curve showed linear response in the concentration range from 0.08 to 8.36 ^mol L-1 with detection limit (LD) of 0.06 ^mol L-1. The proposed method was applied in the determination of ABZ in three pharmaceutical formulations with similar results those obtained using a comparative method. The second part of this work it was to develop two electroanalytical procedures using the amperometry technique coupled to a flow injection analysis system (FIA) for the individual determination of two anthelmintic, the ivermectin (IVM) and levamisole (LVM), where it was used the BDD electrode anodically pretreated (BDD-APT) for LVM and BDD-CPT for IVM. Good linear ranges were obtained for the respective analytical curves with values of 0.60 to 50.0 ^mol L-1 for IVM and 0.01 to 6.00 ^mol L 1 for LVM with LD of 0.30 ^mol L 1 and 1.0 nmol L 1, respectively. These analytes were determined in samples of commercial pharmaceutical formulations and synthetic urine and the results obtained are in agreement with the results obtained using two comparative methods (one for each analyte). The analytical frequencies for each method were 48 and 56 determinations per hour for IVM and LVM, respectively. Another procedure was developed for simultaneous determination of two anthelmintics LVM and albendazole sulfoxide (ABZ-SO) in synthetic urine samples using a FIA system with multiple pulses amperometry (MPA) detection and the BDD-APT electrode. This method was applied for directly determination of ABZ-SO and for indirectly determination of LVM. The employed sequence of dual-potential waveform as a function of time, previously optimized, were Edet1 = +1.40 V / ms 200 (pulse potential at which occurs only ABZ-SO oxidation) and Edet2 = 1.90 V / 200 ms (pulse potential at which the oxidation of both anthelmintic, ABZ-SO and LVM, occurs). The analytical curves showed linearity from 2.00 to 100.0 ^mol L-1 (ABZ-SO) and 0.03 to 1.00 ^mol L-1 (LVM), with LD of 1.00 ^mol L-1 and 6.0 nmol L-1 for ABZ-SO and LVM, respectively. Samples of synthetic urine doped with two different concentrations of ABZ-SO and LVM presented recoveries from 93.3 to 100%. The procedure was simple, accurate and fast, with an analytical frequency of 53 samples per hour. In the last one procedure it was developed a method for simultaneous determination of hydrochlorothiazide (HTZ) and enalapril (ENP) (antihypertensives) using a FIA-MPA system and BDD-CPT electrode. The FIA-MPA method was also proposed based on the direct determination of HTZ and indirect of ENP. The sequence application of the pulses as a function of time, were, Edet1 = +1.50 V / ms 150 (pulse potential at which HTZ occurs) and Edet2 = +1.80 V / ms 150 (pulse potential at which oxidation of both analytes (HTZ and ENP) occurs). The analytical curves presented linearity from 0.40 to 8.00 ^mol L -1 to HTZ and from 0.03 to 1.00 ^mol L-1 to HTZ and LD obtained for HTZ and ENP were 0.20 and 0.01 ^mol L-1, respectively. It was analysed three pharmaceutical commercial samples containing both analytes and the results obtained using the FIA-MPA method are in agreement with those obtained using a comparative method (HPLC) with a confidence level of 95%. The procedure was simple and fast, with an analytical frequency of 89 samples per hour.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Índice sustentável de bem-estar econômico: uma proposta de mesuração para os municípios paulistas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Silva, Jonathas de Melo Cristovão; Ferro, Andrea Rodrigues; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3432809140419477; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6244697096298561; Gomes, Alexandre Lopes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5002157193962189; Maciel, Vladimir Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6152019735516841The objective of this research is incorporate environmental conditions in a synthetic index of well-being for the counties beyond traditional dimensions of income, education and health in order to contribute to the diagnosis of the quality of life. Among the many challenges presented to policymakers, one of the applicants is a relative scarcity of public resources to meet a growing demand for goods and services. Another set of challenges is the difficulty of making more accurate diagnoses of problems and needs of the population, making the choice of priorities for action no trivial task. Analytical tools that can assist planning and monitoring of public policies are essential to establish alternatives for expanding the economic and social well-being, integrating economic growth and environmental sustainability. To meet the proposed goal, this work uses MIQL-M - Multidimensional Index of Quality of Life, a multidimensional index composed by the capabilities, concepted by Sen, still incorporating environmental sustainability indicators present in IAA- Index Environmental Assessment, established by the State Secretariat of Environment of São Paulo. Obtained a new index of well-being, perform a comparison of the systems of the municipalities according to the relative position obtained with and without the environmental variable. The main results show that the best municipalities assessed by modified MIQL-M did not show good results when environmental sustainability is considered. The districts with low quality of life were more dispersed throughout the territory and more concentrated in the east and south of the state. The municipalities that have improved their positions when the environmental factor is considered were more concentrated in the area of environmental preservation, and the relative improvement did not guarantee high degree of development since the evaluation considers other socioeconomic factors. Those who have lost positions in the ranking were located in regions where industrial dynamics is strongly present in the state. However, the global Moran's I test rejects the hypothesis that municipalities with high industrial participation are influencing the quality of life of neighboring regions due to spatial proximity.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito do tempo entre passes na interação recristalização-precipitação de um aço inoxidável austenítico com alto teor de nióbio e nitrogênio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Silva, Mariana Beatriz dos Reis; Jorge Júnior, Alberto Moreira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6360362248108490; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8849710516030183In this work was studied the influence of interpass time on the recrystallizationprecipitation interaction occurring during the thermomechanical processing of ISO 5832-9 austenitic stainless steel, which has high contents of niobium (0.28%) and nitrogen (0.35%). The simulation of the industrial processing was carried out through hot torsion testing with multiple deformations in continuous cooling, in which the interpass time ranged between 5 and 50 s. The obtained plastic flow curves showed that shortest interpass times lead to increased levels of stress during straining and that the non-recrystallization temperature for this steel is close to 1100°C. The microstructural evolution was investigated by interrupting the tests on certain deformations before and after Tnr, and for this it was used the microscopy techniques of optical, transmission electron and scanning electron associated with electron backscattered diffraction. Small interpass times resulted in a larger volume fraction of small precipitates (< 50 nm) and smaller grain sizes. It was observed that dynamic recrystallization also occurs, and that these smaller precipitates were effective in pinning grain boundaries and dislocations (continue...).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo dos efeitos do bloqueio da integrina αvβ3 por uma desintegrina RGD recombinante na cicatrização de hérnia incisional em ratos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Oliveira, Claudio Ricardo de; Araújo, Heloísa Sobreiro Selistre de; ttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4065824911933203; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5091705745613726Introduction: Incisional hernia (IH) is considered a connective tissue disease characterized by defective wound healing process, and it is found in high incidence after abdominal surgeries. Previous studies have shown that DisBa- 01 presents high-affinity to αvβ3, which can have wide therapeutic application and/or laboratorial in disorders related to collagen. Hypothesis: Considering the regulatory role of the vitronectin receptor, the αvβ3 integrin, in wound healing, we hypothesized that blocking this integrin would affect tissue repair. Objectives: To evaluate the DisBa-01 (a desintegrin RGD-recombinant by snake venom of Bothrops Alternatus) as a blockage of αvβ3 integrin on improvement of HI healing. Methods: IH was successfully induced in rats of Sham and DisBa-01 group. DisBa-01 group were treated with different doses (0.25; 0.5 and 1.0 mg/kg). A control group without surgery was included to analyze the surgery effects. Were evaluated the histology, zymography and gene expression of MMP-2, type I and III collagen and VEGF. Type 1A collagen were analysed by Western Blotting. Results: After 14 days, the presence of IH and hernia ring were observed in all sham-operated animals; in contrast, 100% of animals treated with 0.25 and 1.0 mg/kg of Disba-01 did not present visible signals of hernia and showed closed hernia rings. The surgery procedure strongly activated MMP-2 gene expression as well as its activity (P<0.05). Up-regulation of collagen 1 (col-1) and 3 (col-3) gene expression was also observed, DisBa-01 reduced the expression of col-I, however, did not affect col-III, while VEGF expression was down regulated at day14. In contrast, DisBa-01 significantly inhibited MMP-2 gene expression and its activity. Western Blotting analysis revealed the presence of Type1A collagen in all groups, however only DisBa-01 differed statistically of Control group. The thickness of the collagen layer in each of control group presented reduced. However, Sham and DisBa-01, there was a relative increase in all studied animals (P<0.05). Conclusion: These results indicate that αvβ3 integrin has an important role in the control of wound healing and its blockade modulate repair conditions, including IH. This information may be especially helpful for patients with recurrent IH.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliação das habilidades sociais e variáveis sociodemográficas de adolescentes com e sem indicadores de depressão(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-06-27) Campos, Josiane Rosa; Del Prette, Almir; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2191226494887247; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4613953640278499Researches indicate that adolescents who have diagnostic or indicators of depression present many difficulties to start and maintain social relationships. Frequently, they are rejected by the society, which products a clinically relevant ill-being. The literature points associations between depression among adolescents and low repertory of social skills and, on the other hand, adolescents without depression indicators would present higher frequency of social skills. Therefore, the presence of social skills in the adolescents repertory would constitute a protection factor, and the low frequency, risk to the development of depressive symptoms. However, although this hypothesis is plausible at the theoretical point of view, empirical studies that investigate the theme depression in adolescence and social skills are few, especially in the Brazilian context. Studies found in the literature also didn t insert socio-demographic variable like age, gender, socio-economic status at the researches about social skills and depression in adolescence, which are also considered variables associated with depressive symptoms and social skills. In this sense, the general objective of the present research was to characterize, compare and predict the social skills repertory of adolescents with and without depression indicators, considering socio-demographic variables. This thesis is composed by four studies where one of them is theoretical and the other three are empirical. The first study, of theoretical nature, reviewed the last 20 years of scientific literature on the theme of social skills and depression in adolescence. The second characterized and compared the social skills repertory of 103 adolescents with and 103 without depression indicators, considering differences in gender. The third one suggested a model of multiple logistic regression, where the social skills of 642 adolescents (103 with depression indicators and 539 without it) were investigated as protection/risk factors and the predictive power in indicating depression in adolescents. The fourth study compared two samples: a general one (composed by 103 adolescents with depression indicators and 539 without it) and another one, nonclinical (composed by just 539 adolescents without depression indicators), aiming to check the impact of this control on the social skills scores and the influence of gender and social-economic status on the results. The participants of all empirical studies were 13 years old in average. The instruments used in these empirical studies were the Inventory of Social Skills for Adolescents IHSA Del Prette, Inventory of Infant Depression and Brazil Criteria. Data were collected at municipal schools, of a city in the interior of São Paulo state. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were used. In the first study were found 28 articles, the biggest part of them were empirical , done outside the country, with pre-experimental design, emphasis on the use of instruments of self-report, aiming to predict variables and categories of social skills investigated were: assertiveness, communication and approach. In the second study, there was difference significantly statistical in the general score, on the classes of self-control, civility, and assertiveness in the female sample; in the case of male sample, there was difference significantly statistical just for the categories of social resourcefulness. In the third study, the skills more frequent of empathy and self-control as well as 12 years old were shown as risk factors. The model presented low predictive power. In the fourth study, the results pointed debasement of the overall score and the social skills of empathy and self-control, just for the female sample. The implications limitations and reach of these data are discussed.
