listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Da individuação em Simondon ao inventar-se pela educação infantil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Barros, Gustavo de Almeida; Abramowicz, Anete; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6326587195705738That bibliographic theoretical-characterized survey has been as its beginning the following question: How is an individual constituted? By searching the solution for this question, we have mainly based on the thesis of Gilbert Simondon, a French philosopher, The Individuation under the Light of Notions about Shape and Information (1958), which along with the comprehension about his concepts, sought in natural sciences like inequality, meta stability and transduction. That permitted not only to understand the individual from his individuation process, but also to realize an occurring reality that antecedes it a reality that Simondon himself called pre individual. Moreover, since Simondon show us that the being is never to individuate himself, that pre-individual reality both coexists with the individual and will be his genesis. This point in Simondon s philosophy will make possible for us to answer our own questions. Would the individuation processes not be distinguishing processes, too? In case affirmative, would these singularization processes not be a deindividuation, too? In order to answer our own questions, we have performed, face to Simondon s proposal surveys about the philosophy of difference proposed by the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze and the psychoanalyst Felis Guattari, and by Deleuze s comments about Simondon s philosophy. We have permitted ourselves, therefore, to perform an approach to education, which led us, not only to propose a new manner of understanding education, but also rethinking its practices. For that, we have had to delimitate a theoretical field made up by so many other surveys and texts, which could approximate to what we have performed, that is, which worked out with Simondon, the philosophy of difference and education.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Inteligência cultural na perspectiva de aprendizagem dialógica: evidência de êxito escolar para superação de desigualdades sociais e educativas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Marigo, Adriana Fernandes Coimbra; Mello, Roseli Rodrigues de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4014738511373573The thesis herein focuses on the concept of cultural intelligence from the perspective of dialogical learning based on the understanding of their potential contributions to the achievement of school success. It is grounded on a theoretical research carried out under the main objective of demonstrating the application and development of the concept of cultural intelligence by the Centre of Research in Theories and Practices to Overcome Inequalities (CREA) of the University of Barcelona, Spain, and identifying theories and concepts underlying such a development. This concept has been constituted by CREA since the 1990s from studies and scientific evidence that all people develop skills and abilities in contexts that foster communication and dialogue on equal footing. By offering these ideal communicative conditions, such skills can be transferred to other contexts and therefore form the basis for new learning. The recognition of the cultural intelligence of socially vulnerable groups allows the achievement of maximum learning in different educational settings, including at school. In order to defend this thesis through formal argument, we used the books, articles of the international scientific community and research reports from CREA, whose data were treated by bibliographic research procedures and content analysis techniques. Based on the results of this research, it can be stated that the concept of cultural intelligence was constituted by CREA through the deepening and broadening of their theoretical basis, development and consolidation of research methodology, as well as dissemination and dialogue on evidence and results of their research. To support this concept, CREA has presented evidence that the concept of cultural intelligence provides a broader notion of intelligence, advancing on the understanding that different intelligences can be integrated around the communicative intelligence. By adopting the cultural intelligence as the premise for research methodology, CREA revealed that it is necessary to integrate socially vulnerable groups to social sciences and education research, thus overcoming interposed hierarchies in the forms of knowledge to create social and scientifically relevant knowledge. Promoting favorable communicative contexts to share and validate results of their research, CREA showed that knowledge in education is not ultimate and must meet the constant changes in social, political, economic and cultural contexts. Based on the evidence offered by the researched sources, it is concluded that human intelligence is constituted in social and educational contexts which are in permanent transformation. To achieve success in these contexts, conditions should be created for people to show their skills by using their capabilities and language skills to do so. It should be considered that access to knowledge and information are decisive factors for social inclusion and that educational settings are in increasing interconnection. It is corroborated the interconnection among the different intelligences might favor success achievement in different contexts of action and that it contributes to overcome hegemonic parameters of subjects, skills, educational contexts and forms of knowledge.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desvelando para ressignificar: processos educativos decorrentes de uma práxis musical dialógica intercultural(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Martins, Denise Andrade de Freitas; Gonçalves Junior, Luiz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7018352729022664The aim of this study was to identify and understand the educational processes originated from the construction-reconstruction of an intercultural dialogical musical practice together with a participating community (students, parents, educators) from an extension project, in the city of Ituiutaba, Minas Gerais, the Project Writing the Future (Re) cutting papera, creating pannels. This project, which involves three educational institutions: the University, Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais, Unidade Ituiutaba, the Music School, Conservatório Estadual de Música Dr. José Zóccoli de Andrade , and the Basic Educational School, Escola Estadual Governador Bias Fortes, is understood as a social practice, given that everybody participates freely, being able to access or leave when they wish to do so. Based on the dialogue and marked by a strong sense of collaboration, companionship is a basic requirement for such practice. The processo of construction-reconstruction of the research had as reference the pedagogical principles of the Brazilian educator Paulo Freire and was composed of two moments: data collection (intervention procedures: questionnaires, interviews, meetings) and development (gatherings, partitura, travelling, performance) of the Generating Music, seen as the step by step of this process, based on the daily lives of the people involved their musical tastes, knowledge and skills. The theoretical reference was basically sustained mainly by the concepts of culture and interculturality. Inspire by phenomenology and of a qualitative nature, the principal tool for data collection was the field journals, with a later analysis, also interviews, photographs, film footages, drawings and texts written by the collaborating participants, term used in this research to refer to the students. The analysis of the data collected during the intervention and registered in the field journals enabled the construction of the following categories: A) Strengthening of the Identity: Oh my, he is strong, he is Zumbi, black warrior just like us! ; B) Respect towards others: I was feeling rather comfortable to play some music! ; C) Desire to become more: When this project started it changed my whole life! [...]. Now I can only do music! . Thus, we consider that practices in Musical Education demand, from those involved in it, commitment and responsability, permanent search of knowledge and skills, respect and acknowledgement of others. However, the process of teachers development, the stimulus of motivation with musical and personal development quality, the c reative and cooperative interaction in the familiarity of the different cultures, the guarantee of a musical education and teaching commited to the development of citizenship and the rights exercise, yet, present themselves as challenges to be face at present.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise da interação entre determinantes da limitação ao fluxo expiratório em homens saudáveis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Santos, Patrícia Rehder dos; Catai, Aparecida Maria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5801652590531684; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0359139542962460Background and objective: Dysanapsis ratio (DR), peak oxygen uptake (VO₂ peak) and age are studied as determinants of expiratory flow limitation (EFL) during exercise. However, it is not yet known whether they can elucidate EFL in young and middle-aged healthy individuals of the same sex. The objective of this study was to investigate the interaction between determinants of LFE (VO₂ peak, DR and age) during different exercise intensities performed in cycle ergometer. Methods: Twenty Two men, 11 young men, and 11 middle-aged men performed the following tests: measurement of respiratory muscle strength, lung function test (DR), cardiopulmonary test (VO₂ peak), and two constant load tests to assess EFL at loads of 75% and 125% of gas exchange threshold (GET). The unpaired t test and the Mann-Whitney test were used to compare groups and two-way ANOVA was used to analyze the effect of age and exercise intensity on the variables of the constant load test (CLT). Stepwise multiple regression was used to analyze the interaction between VO₂ peak, DR, and age and EFL. The significance level was set at p<0.05. Results: Only the middle-aged group presented EFL at both exercise intensities; the groups were similar in relation to respiratory muscle strength, VO₂ peak, and DR; EFL was not associated with VO₂ peak or DR, but it was associated with age during high-intensity exercise (p<0.001). Conclusion: In the experimental conditions, age was the only factor that was related to the presence of EFL during exercise.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estado, luta de classes e políticas públicas de educação para o campo no Tocantins: territórios em disputa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Reis, Cleivane Peres dos; Bezerra Neto, Luiz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4809080593333472; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6630075417074064This thesis analyzes basic education policies to the camp in the State of Tocantins, implemented especially from 1990. Situated in the context of educational reforms oriented by international agencies committed to the capitalist mode of production - in order to forge an education adequate for the ideological domination and meet the demands of the labor market - the educational policy aimed at the working class in the camp is analyzed from a critical reading about state and public policies in the context of capitalism and of its cyclical crises. It´s evident in these paper the role of the state in the capital of the expansion process in the camp, as well as its consequences for the working class, which are expressed on the one hand, in the advance of agribusiness, and, second, in precarious conditions labor and return productive relationships already considered extirpated in society as slave labor in its contemporary setting. In the analysis carried out are taken as specific references so-called Citizenship Territories - elements of the contemporary process of territorialization of public policies for the camp - to allow the reflections on education policies for the camp in Tocantins. The focus is also the analysis of the theoretical production drawn up by the "Movement for a Rural Education," highlighting the contradictions present in such proposals, its limits, scope and possibilities. The simultaneous recurrence of Marxist Theory and the adoption of dialectical historical materialism, let along the paper to undertake the critical forms of support of capitalist society, while seeking the chances of your passing. In this sense, the reflections developed along this thesis depart from the principle of education is not an isolated one, that one understands neither be explained by itself. The analysis of its possibilities, limits, quality and extent, cannot therefore dispense with consideration of the material basis of society, of its organization and operation of its contradictions and present her class antagonisms. The final considerations will assert a lack of education policies to the camp in Tocantins, that would, in fact, the interests of the working class in the camp, and affirm the importance of the dialectic of the immediate components in theoretical and practical concepts of current educational policies for the camp, so that is enhanced manufacturing dimension of school education practices from the perspective of human emancipation and overcoming class society.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Cinema digital e educação: novas formas de percepção estética no século XXI(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Siqueira, Paula Monteiro; Gomes, Luiz Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4768579559449929; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1379365800279815The art goes through transformations on elapse of time, as do the resources and techniques used to produce it, and it s transformed as well as the predominant medium of communication alleged experience mediation. At the beginning of the 20th century Benjamin identified this process and analysed its effects, particularly through movies (BENJAMIN, 1987) and nowadays, with digital movie development, we observe several transformations which impact movie s language and the ways that spectators interact with it. Under the hypothesis that techniques applied to digital movies modify the way that spectators interact with the film, we develop our research on defining a cutout on stereoscopy, which produces the depth effect on 3D movies, and the use of CGI (computer generated imagery), which consists in computer created and animated images, having the target to discuss the impact of these resources on spectator s experience of interaction with movies, and more specifically to investigate new features of digital cinema aiming to understand what are the possible changes on movie s language and broached contents, as well as recognizing features of the ways of perception that might come up on this circumstances. For these purposes we develop a theoretical and empirical research grounded on the theoretical references of Critical Theory of Society.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Dialética negativa, teoria estética e educação: experiência formativa e racionalidade estética em Theodor W. Adorno(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Romeiro, Artieres Estevão; Gomes, Luiz Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4768579559449929; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0459388110102022This study aims at analyzing the links between philosophy and art in the development of an emancipatory education. This theme is justified by the need to promote in society an education that, in fact, leads to emancipation, and not the reification of technical knowledge. If, in Dialectic of Enlightenment, Adorno and Horkheimer denounce the technical rationality and demonstrate how such a paradigm leads to barbarism, which rationality can lead to emancipation? Seeking answers to such problem, three studies were carried out. The first deals with the erudition and technical rationality in the context of cultural industry. The second investigates the Negative Dialectics and the effort to overcome the reductionism of identity through concepts constructed in a dissonant and constellatory way. Finally, the third turns to the Aesthetics Theory and investigates the negative and liberating potential of art that consolidates an aesthetic rationality. The three studies originate from a bibliographic research that resulted in a text that sought to approach the essay form, coherently with Adorno s negative epistemological proposal. The three parts articulate categories towards proposing an emancipatory rationality through art, which we will call aesthetic rationality; alternative way to overcome the latent barbarism in technical rationality.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A relação família-escola nos periódicos científicos brasileiros (2000-2013)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Oliveira, Luana Maria de; Conti, Celso Luiz Aparecido; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6967887143687279; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3474822445778359This work aims to analyze the family-school relationship by means of scientific articles, in order to understand how it has been characterized in Brazilian journals from 2000 to 2013 and seeking to contribute to the studies concerning this topic. For this we considered relevant to conduct this analysis starting with the political, economic and cultural context of our present society, that is, trying to understand the relations between State, Family and School within the capitalist system and in face of globalization. We conducted a bibliographic search that involved an ordered set of procedures, given the object of research and its main objective, and which consisted of three steps: surveying library materials and selecting the 46 articles analyzed in this research; analyzing the selected studies, inspired by "content analysis" as an analytical technique, in order to identify information, data and relations between the selected articles; and performing an integrating synthesis of solutions, in which we presented the final product of the investigation process, which resulted from the analysis and reflection on the documents. The analysis revealed six categories, representing the major highlights of the articles selected for this research. The first is the category of types of family-school relationship, in which two predominant types were appointed. One is an unidirectional relationship, and the other is marked by partnership. The articles showed that the school institution is the main responsible for family-school approximation, represented mainly by the teachers. As for the difficulties faced in family-school relationship, the analysis showed, among other factors, that the asymmetry in the family-school relationship reflects the school difficulty in understanding what is the true reality experienced by their students, as well as their families, and vice versa. As ways of relationship between the family and the school, the analysis showed that these have been done through agenda books, notes, parents meetings and meetings at the beginning and end of classes, homework, participation in scheduled events due to commemorative dates, financial contributions, support and maintenance for the proper development of the school. As for the social role of family and school, the articles highlighted that both institutions have different social functions in relation to the good school performance of the student, and share the task of educating children and young people for their successful development and participation in society. The last category resulting from the analysis discussed the school and family practicespointed by the articles.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Lexicultura e hipertextos : letras de canções como mediação linguística e cultural no contexto do ensinoaprendizagem de português para estrangeiros(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Souza, Drielle Caroline Izaias Juvino; Barbosa, Lúcia Maria de Assunção; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5030878430187815; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8828408768982486The integration between language and culture has acquired greater importance in the teaching and learning foreign languages context as well as in Applied Linguistics studies. Considering the lexicon as cultural depository of language (BIDERMAN, 2001), studying it becomes essential to understand and discuss the cultural aspects of a given society. In this paper we intend to analyze Brazilian lyrics that have the cultural marked lexicon in order to contribute to the discussion in the teaching-learning languages area. In addition, we present the proposal of some entries on a web site in hypertext format. We opted for the lyrics because they are an important cultural vehicle in Brazil (BARBOSA, 2008) and they allow access to both language and cultural content in foreign language classes. The virtual environment and hypertext were selected because they allow access from any location with an internet connection and propitiate dynamic reading method through navigation. We analyzed 27 Brazilian songs that cover a period of 42 years from 1972 to 2014. The focus in song analysis was the lexicon with shared cultural load, according to Galisson s conception (1987; 1989).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito da Mentha piperita L. durante a infecção experimental por Schistosoma mansoni(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Zaia, Mauricio Grecco; Anibal, Fernanda de Freitas; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4918261968772806; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8327957018454236Schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease caused by several species of trematode worms and it is believed that more than 249 million people are affected worldwide, with 700 million people living in risk areas. In Brazil, only the Schistosoma mansoni is found as the etiologic agent of schistosomiasis, responsible for more deaths than dengue, visceral leishmaniasis and malaria in the country. Currently, there is only one drug indicated for the treatment of schistosomiasis (Praziquantel) and the development of new drugs has become essential due to parasite resistance risk against this drug. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the parasitological, immunological and histological profile in infected mice with Schistosoma mansoni, after treatment with an herbal business, consisting of menthol (30-55%) and menthone (14-32%), prepared from the leaves of Mentha piperita L. In addition, we evaluated the possible genotoxic effect of the herbal in cells of adult worms recovered from these treated animals using the comet assay technique. Female BALB/c mice were divided into 6 groups: Negative Control, Positive Control, Mentha 15, Mentha 60, PZQ and Cremophor. Each animal was infected with 80 cercariae of Schistosoma mansoni and treated 60 or 15 days with the herbal test. Single dose of 400 mg/kg of Praziquantel to PZQ group was administered. The animals were killed 61 days after the infection, in which were evaluated the cellular profile (total and differential counts of blood leukocytes and peritoneal cavity lavage), immune profile (IL-10, IL-4 and IFN -ɤ measurement by ELISA) and histological profile of liver and intestine of treated mice. Kato-Katz's technique was performed for quantifying eggs/gram at 45 and 60 days after infection and carried out adult worms recovered by perfusion of the hepatic portal system. Statistical analysis was performed using GraphPad Prism 5 (2005), using the non-parametric test (One-way ANOVA) through the analysis of variance (Tukey), considering p<0.05. The results showed that both groups treated with the herbal alter the behavior of the infection. The longer treatment with herbal (Mentha 60) decreased the number of S. mansoni eggs in the feces, liver and intestine of mice and reduced the number of hepatic granulomas, when compared to the Positive Control. In the same group was observed a reduction of blood eosinophils (84%) and a decrease the IL-4 and IL-10 levels when compared to the Positive Control, indicating a probable immunomodulation in this experimental infection model. Treatment with herbal medicine has no genotoxic effect on adult worms of S. mansoni in this model. Therefore, it is suggested that treatment with the herbal medicine for a long time, consisting of menthol and menthone, prepared from leaves of Mentha piperita L., has an immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory action in this experimental model of murine schistosomiasis mansoni, contributing to the decrease in pathological effects caused by infection with S. mansoni.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Equações de valores previstos de pico de fluxo expiratório em diferentes equipamentos de uma amostra da população brasileira(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Ike, Daniela; Jamami, Maurício; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4274129560250050; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0661715884992529The peak expiratory flow (PEF) is a simple and objective method that evaluates primarily the proximal airways caliber. The ease of handling and low cost of portable PEF meters have become its frequent use, however few studies have analyzed the agreement of the obtained values in different equipment, as well as compared its reference values, which justifies the Study I, which had as its objective to compare the obtained values, analyze the agreement of three portable PEF meters and check if the reference values that accompany these devices are appropriate for the population studied. 168 healthy individuals were evaluated, of both genders, in the age group of 20 to 80 years, who underwent PEF measurements in Mini-Wright®, Assess® and Air Zone® meters; then, the obtained values were compared to predict proposed by Leiner et al. (1963) and Nunn and Gregg (1989). The statistical analysis was performed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, ANOVA, Wilcoxon test, Spearman's correlation test and Bland-Altman s agreement test, with a significance level of 5%. Significant differences were found in the PEF obtained values between Mini-Wright® and Assess® meters in both genders, between the Air Zone® and Assess® meters only in men, and between Mini-Wright® and Air Zone® meters only in women; and the PEF predict values in the three devices were considered significantly higher than those obtained in both genders. Moderate significant correlations were found between the obtained and predict values in men and women, but there was no agreement between the PEF obtained values in the meters, due to the great variation in the limits of agreement and large interindividual variation. It was concluded that the obtained values in the three meters are not interchangeable and the predicted values overestimated the obtained, indicating its inconsistency for the sample studied, that stimulated the realization of Study II, which aimed to establish PEF reference values for adults and elderly from Southeast region of Brazil based on the obtained values of three portable meters: Mini-Wright®, Assess® and Air Zone®. 373 healthy individuals were evaluated, of both genders, aged 20 to 80 years, who underwent PEF measurements in Mini-Wright®, Assess® and Air Zone® meters. The statistical analysis was performed by multiple linear regression analysis by stepwise selection method to determine the explicative variables and were tested three different models: using variable unit, logarithmic and adjust by age; and then the paired t-test was applied to compare the obtained values with predict by new model and to check the validation of the proposed model, with a significance level of 5%. Of the models tested, adjust by age showed the best agreement and the equations varied according to the meter and the coefficients age, corporal mass, height and body mass index (BMI) explained more than 90% variation in PEF. In the comparison of obtained values with those proposed by new model, no significant difference was found, confirming the validation of equations proposed in the meters. Therefore, equations of PEF were established for adults and elderly from Southeast region of Brazil, separated by gender and for each meter evaluated: Mini-Wright®, Assess® and Air Zone® considering the inadequacy of the common use of an equation for the three meters used. These equations enable the correct interpretation of PEF values in clinical practice.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O uso do tempo nas atividades cotidianas e a qualidade de vida de crianças de classe popular(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Nunes, Ana Célia; Emmel, Maria Luisa Guillaumon; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1558444450360823Children, as well as adults, organize their daily routines based on their role in day-today activities. Studies on use of time are an important tool for the acknowledgment of daily routine of children, hence allowing us to understand habits and behaviours from various social groups. The goal of this study was to describe the use to time of children ages 9 to 12 years of age in their daily routines and quality of life. These children are from four different public schools in the city of Sao Carlos, a municipality located in the central region of the state of Sao Paulo. The study was composed of 108 children, of both genders; 60 were girls, where as 48 were boys. For data collection, we utilized Diary of Activities children s version and the Autoquestionnaire Qualité de Vie enfant Imagé AUQEI, aside from an identification form for each participant. The results from utilizing Diary of Activities children s version show that the majority of their time during weekdays and weekends was dedicated to basic daily activities related to their well being, their homes, and other children. Also noted was the time balance among school, their home chores and other children, leisure, sports, relaxation, and time for their own. These children consider their daily activities important and satisfactory. We observed a positive life quality for 77.8% of participants, being that leisure time was the best rated (98.1% of the participants considered their life quality satisfactory) and autonomy being the greatest category with the highest number of participants with an impaired life-style (72.2%). There had been correlation, regardless of modest magnitude, between the presence of satisfaction and meaning in the daily occupations and good quality of life. Despite the results pointing to a occupational balance, there was less participation in activities that required larger financial expenditure especially in the areas such as extracurricular education, sports, and leisure. The matter of having little divesity in cultural activities, sports, extracurricular activities and leisure, and the expressive amount of time spent on house chores and care of others, do not translate in a negative experience for the youngsters partaken in this study, in all, the deficits in certain areas of occupational performance serve to reassure the need for further investment and greater attention of governmental instances, of private capital and civil society for this population. This research showed the importance of the study of use of time during early childhood, being this a subject linked directly to human engagement. There is a need for further studies that deepen theoric and emperically in the transformations and tendencies of human engagement during childhood and the way how these engagements interact with the quality of life during this period in life.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O debate sobre avaliação da qualidade na educação infantil: traçando cartografias(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Louveira, Andreina de Melo; Abramowicz, Anete; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2108142818540806This research integrates design Municipal Public Policy Children's Education: diagnosis and research, OBEDUC program (Education Observatory). Funded by CAPES, this dissertation aims to investigate and identify the different theoretical and methodological approaches of what was produced in Brazil from 1993 to 2013, within of 'evaluation' of 'quality' in Early Childhood Education (ECE). To understand the production of 'quality' as a social construction within the concept "will to truth", was used as the theoretical framework of assumptions Foucault (2012, 1988, 1979) on power relations and building a "want to know". As a methodological direction, avail ourselves of the construction of the concept of 'quality' from cartography, which provides the ability to understand it as a social invention without subjecting the linear temporal dimensions as key facts and lets think of it as a cross concept forces of relationships that need to be considered to achieve their size (BARROS; KASTRUP, 2010). This research was divided into three phases: the first involves the description of the process of looking for work in digital databases through the descriptors evaluation , quality and early childhood education . The selected databases were SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), Anped (National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education), BDTD (Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations), Ana Maria Poppovic Library (BAMP) of the Carlos Chagas Foundation (FCC) and CAPES Journal. The second phase describes the process of organization and construction of thematic groupings for analysis, guided by a roadmap of features for reading that allowed grouping the research, according to their theoretical and methodological similarities. The third phase presents the explanation of each research from the perspective of their respective group and discusses the main theoretical directions that permeate its construction. In total, we analyzed 43 studies that evidence the main theoretical and methodological approaches that have built the evaluation of the 'quality' in ECE, particularly from the perspective of environmental psychology, the use of environment assessment scales and as a preparation for teaching fundamental. We believe that the 'quality' as a social invention is constructed as a political activity in the primary sense of the term, that is, as an activity that organizes and directs the Early Childhood Education.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O trabalho do professor jovem-doutor na pós-graduação: produção de conhecimento e discurso do professor(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Ferreira, Luciana Rodrigues; Silva Junior, João dos Reis; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7937742192143786The choosing of work of young doctors professors , as mean topic of this thesis, represents the author study about the scientific production and everyday work of professors with less than 10 years of doctoral experience, who are able to provide a differential profile in the knowledge transmission. The goal of this research is to understand the speech of the most productive young doctors professors of UFSCar, with the Productivity in Research scholarship, and linked with post-graduation programs, about their work and knowledge production. Therefore, the research identifies the process of public university expansion, especially in the post-graduation, and their influences in the professors work, in the case of UFSCar, analyzing the professors academic production and their opinion about the university work: teaching, researches, post-graduation and production. The research tries to understand in which way, the State, finally, through their promotion agencies (CAPES and CNPQ), regulates, supports and orientates the knowledge production and the work of the professor-researcher. The exposed data about the scientific production and professors testimonials were essential to the work analysis, and to the everyday dynamic presented. Among the presented results, can be considered that the young doctors professors presents intersection points in the university praxis, which leads us to design a profile about their work, whose adaptation to the way of make science reveals the contradiction imposed to the university and to the smaller and smaller place, given to the criticism intellectual. Finally, the exercise become to two contradictory speeches: the passion for the teaching work and the estrangement and pressure created for the work itself. It is clear that, in the context of the international cooperation, an strategy to promote the creation of research teams at the universities, and the high production of knowledge, have became goals in the regulation of those promotion agencies, clearly driven at the necessary speed to follow the world technological changes, and the reasons for which, Brazil should advance, being a big effort, creating capabilities and competences in strategical areas, through researches and researchers, specially young-doctors.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Mecanismos dos núcleos central da amígdala e parabraquial lateral no controle da ingestão de sódio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Franzé, Gláucia Maria Fabrício de Andrade; Menani, José Vanderlei; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6568042584596662The central nucleus of the amygdala (CeA) and the lateral parabrachial nucleus (LPBN) are important areas for the control of sodium appetite. The functional integrity of the CeA is critical to sodium and water intake when LPBN the inhibitory mechanisms are deactivated. Therefore, the aims of this study were to investigate the role of different neurotransmitters of the CeA in the control of sodium and water intake induced by a) sodium depletion and b) after blockade of LPBN inhibitory mechanisms. Male Holtzman rats with stainless steel guide cannula implanted bilaterally only in CeA or both into the CeA and LPBN were used. Sodium (0.3 M NaCl) intake was evaluated in satiated, hyperosmotic and sodium-depleted rats. In sodium-depleted animals, bilateral administration of α2- adrenergic/imidazoline receptor agonist moxonidine (10 nmol) into CeA reduced 0.3 M NaCl and water intake. Moreover, bilateral injections of muscimol (0.25 nmol) into CeA reduced sodium intake without change water intake. Oxytocin receptors activation or its blockade in the CeA, blockade of muscarinic cholinergic receptor or activation of 5HT2A/2C serotonergic receptor into the CeA did not change 0.3 M NaCl or water intake in sodium-depleted animals. Bilateral injections of opioid receptor antagonist naloxone (40 μg) into the CeA did not significantly change 0.3 M NaCl and water intake in sodium-depleted animals. However, sodium and water intake induced by bilateral injections of muscimol (0.5 nmol) into the LPBN in satiated animals were completely abolished after bilateral injections of naloxone (40 μg) into CeA. Furthermore, paradoxical sodium intake observed in rats that received oral gavage with 2 M NaCl (2 ml/rat) combined with bilateral injections of moxonidine (0.5 nmol) in LPBN was also blocked by bilateral naloxone (40 μg) into the CeA. 0.3 M NaCl and water intake induced by bilateral muscimol injections (0.5 nmol) into LPBN in satiated animals were abolished by blocking AT1 angiotensin receptors (losartan - 20 μg) in CeA. In sodium-depleted animals, bilateral injections of losartan (20 μg) into the CeA significantly reduced water intake but did not affect sodium intake. Bilateral injections of the aldosterone antagonist RU 28318 (50 ng) did not change sodium and water intake induced by sodium depletion. Present results suggest that ocitocinergic, cholinergic muscarinic, 5-HT2A/2C serotonergic receptors and aldosterone receptors of the CeA do not participate in the control of 0.3 M NaCl intake induced by sodium depletion. Moreover, present results suggest that GABAergic and α2-adrenergic receptors of the CeA have an inhibitory role for sodium appetite in this situation. Although opioids and angiotensinergic mechanisms of the CeA apparently do not contribute to sodium depletion-induced sodium intake, opioidergic and angiotensinergic mechanisms in CeA are essential for sodium intake when the LPBN inhibitory mechanisms are blockade by LPBN muscimol injection. In addition, opioidergic mechanisms in CeA are also essential for the paradoxical sodium intake by hyperosmotic animals when the inhibitory mechanisms are attenuated by LPBN moxonidine. Therefore, the activation of opioidergic and angiotensinergic receptors of the CeA is required for sodium intake observed after removal or attenuation of LPBN inhibitory mechanisms.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Conhecimentos docentes para educação on-line : contribuições de um curso de formação em EaD da UFSCar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Nazário, Kenia Rosa de Paula; Oliveira, Marcia Rozenfeld Gomes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1142442570155148; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3396059478756976Social changes today involve new paradigms in various sectors of society. Among them, there has been a change in the education setting, as the Information and Communication Digital Technologies (TDIC) with its several new possibilities of teaching and learning. To understand these possibilities the teacher training area has sought to follow these new demands with regard to initial and continuing education to subsidize teachers into these technological resources. In this sense, the teaching knowledge base tends to be reconfigured embracing new learning for teachers towards building autonomy, transformation and emancipation. In this context, this study aims to understand how the participation of teachers of a Public Higher Education Institution (IPES) in a continuing education course in distance education, fully distance, can contribute to teaching learning, redefining the knowledge base of these participants and targeting their professional development. For this qualitative nature study, we have chosen a methodology developed in two stages in which data were collected. The first one was to apply an online questionnaire, which was answered by graduates participating in the Teacher Training Course in distance education offered by the Coordination of Development and Professional Improvement of the General Secretariat of Distance Education at UFSCar. In the second stage, data were taken in the virtual environment of that course, specifically in daily activity that contains the individual narratives posted by the participants of the course. The analyzes show that the articulation of the specific content and the TDIC is not trivial, it is a process that needs time, support and subsequent trials towards the achievement of the desired goals and knowledge of pedagogical and technological content, as proposed by the TPCK model. Data indicate that the course brought contributions to the teaching practice in the classroom and in distance learning, especially with regard to planning, management, interaction and integration of digital technologies in the classroom. It is believed that the duration of the course is not enough to fully attain the process of teaching learning; on the other hand, it should be an opportunity of awareness for teachers to reflect on such issues and considerations that should be further and continuously developed in different learning spaces.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um modelo de negociação de privacidade para sistemas de recomendação social(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Rocha, Ânderson Kanegae Soares; Zorzo, Sérgio Donizetti; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2523715806470871; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8321421893352988The high rate of growth and variety of information available on the Internet can overwhelm users, not leading them to the best decisions. In this context, social recommender systems play an important role on helping users against the effects of information overload. However, these systems need for data collection from its users social context motivates privacy concerns and may discourage its use. Thus, this dissertation presents a privacy negotiation model for social recommender systems to enable user to control his own privacy from the perspective of computer science. So, the user can decide to provide access to their data considering the personalization benefits that the system can offer him in exchange and is not forced to fully accept the privacy policies though. In this model, the privacy control is possible by means of a user interface design pattern using privacy negotiation techniques. The SocialRecSys social recommender system is an implementation of this model that was used in an evaluation with 32 users. The results showed that users are not satisfied with traditional interfaces and the model can better deal with the potentially different privacy preferences of each user. The results also indicated the high usability of the user interfaces of this model, which increase the flexibility of the systems regarding the configuration options of privacy preferences without harm the usage easiness of it. The implementation of this model shows that this is an alternative to reduce the concerns of privacy of social recommender systems users by increasing the flexibility and providing them a better understanding of the recommender systems. So users can feel encouraged to share their data in social recommender systems and take advantage of its personalization benefits.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Resiliência em cuidadores familiares de idosos com doença de Alzheimer(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Manzini, Carlene Souza Silva; Vale, Francisco de Assis Carvalho do; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7135183635933470; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0793258557274303Introduction: Resilience is the ability of individuals or groups to overcome adversity without presenting physical or mental disorders, or even become better against unfavorable conditions. It is seen as being essential to obtain a healthier lifestyle. Objectives: evaluate factors associated to resilience in family caregivers of elderly with Alzheimer's disease. Method: This is a cross-sectional study, descriptive, comparative, correlational quantitative character. Were interviewed 66 family caregivers of elderly with Alzheimer's disease (AD), followed in a teaching clinic at a public university. The group was divided into three subgroups of caregivers: DA mild, moderate and advanced. As a control group, were interviewed 30 family caregivers of people with diabetes, DM group, followed in a primary care unit in São Carlos. Results: The majority of caregivers in both groups were women, wives or daughters, with an average age of 56 years (AD) and 53 years (DM). In terms of schooling, the DA group reached an average of 8.0 years and the DM group had an average of 5.3 years of schooling. Most caregivers of all groups / subgroups showed moderate levels of resilience. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that some factors contribute to the increase of resilience in the AD group, namely: overhead, number of days devoted to the care, parentage spouse degree, good self perception of physical health and the practice of other activities. As for the DM group, the significant variables were only depression and age. Other factors were related to resilience, such as stress, overload and other variables. Caregivers of elderly patients with AD presented higher levels of anxiety, stress, overload and depression compared to caregivers of people with diabetes. Conclusions: caring relatives with chronic diseases, neurodegenerative or not, creates anxiety, stress, depression and overload. These variables are more pronounced in caregivers of elderly patients with AD.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, "São Paulo Faz Escola": o conceito de práxis educativa e práxis educacional no currículo das escolas estaduais de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Souza, Diogo Bandeira de; Marques, Sílvio César Moral; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6047434055828372; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0852998051950618This research's theme is ?The concept of educative praxis and educational praxis in the official curriculum of public schools in São Paulo? The process was initiated in 2008, but with initiatives started in 2007, the Paulista Curriculum is the third, out of ten goals, of José Serra's government which objective was, since then, to consolidate the public education in the state. In a coordinated action, the Secretary of State for Educational Affairs, the Regional Educational Departments and the schools, by the work of their supervisors, firstly started the implantation of this public policy. Considering this fact and others related to the matter, weaim at comprehending the impacts of the program "São Paulo Faz Escola",official curriculum for public schools of this state that guides the practice of teachers and supervisors, as the government has prepared the Supervisor Notebook, a role of rules to work well with the curriculum in the schools. To the analysis, we base our discussions on the theory of historical dialecticalmaterialism not only to criticize this model of education, but also to propose the overcoming of such model.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento de biossensor amperométrico baseado em monoamina oxidase-b para detecção de neurotransmissores(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-02-27) Pereira, Tamyris Paschoal; Ferreira, Marystela; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4714185516263478; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2505021849047791This work focuses on the production of nanostructured films of poly (ethyleneimine) PEI together with MAO-b free and encapsulated in liposomes constructed by the layer-bylayer technique (LbL), for application in biosensors. Liposomes are microscopic vesicles composed of concentric lipid bilayers separated by aqueous medium, capable of encapsulating hydrophilic and/or hydrophobic molecules, which are, respectively, included in the aqueous compartment and the membrane or adsorbed. Enzymes encapsulated in liposomes have advantages in stability and catalytic activity compared to the free enzyme. Liposomes were synthesized by using a rotary evaporator and subsequently the enzyme was immobilized. The phospholipids dipalmitoyl phosphatidyl glycerol (DPPG) and palmitoyl oleoyl phosphatidyl glycerol (POPG) and the mixture of the two were used in this study in the ratio (1:1) and (1:4) (m/m). To build a biosensor in neurotransmitter monoamine oxidase b on, thin films were set up on poly (ethyleneimine) PEI together with monoamine oxidase b enzyme (MAO-B) immobilized or not in liposomes and deposited on ITO electrodes, being the Prussian blue a mediator of electrons. The obtained films were characterized by fluorescence spectroscopy, UV-visible and circular dichroism. The results indicated that the film is deposited successfully on quartz and ITO. The amperometric measurements were performed to detect the film sensitivity and the detection limits and check which architecture is best suited for the best composition of the biosensor. The results achieved until now show that the liposome retain the conformational structure of the enzyme and films composed of PEI / MAO-B + POPG:DPPG in proportion (1:4) (w/w) indicate better performance of the biosensor, due to the sensitivity value of 0.33 ± 0.02 µA.cm-2 mM-1 found and a good selectivity.
