listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Mapeamento proteico da matriz do esmalte de incisivos de camundongos susceptíveis e resistentes à fluorose dentária(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-08-12) Leite, Aline de Lima; Buzalaf, Marília Afonso Rabelo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6461505420218183; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3327053007432133Enamel formation is a two-step complex process by which proteins are first secreted to forming an extracellular matrix, followed by massive protein degradation simultaneously with the completion of mineralization. Excessive exposure to fluoride can disrupt this process and drive to a condition known as dental fluorosis. Recently it has been reported that genetic factors may influence the responses of mineralized tissues to fluoride, a phenomenon observed in A/J and 129P3/J mice strain. The present study aimed to map the protein profile of mouse enamel. Enamel matrix samples were obtained from A/J and 129P3/J mice and analyzed by two-dimensional electrophoresis and liquid chromatography, coupled to mass spectrometry. A total of 120 proteins were identified, from which 113 are well characterized, both experimentally and functionally. Seven proteins were classified as uncharacterized proteins. After functional enrichment, 9 proteins were significantly related to the terms "odontogenesis and tissue biomineralization”. Surprisingly, the COL1A1 and COL1A2 protein were found on secretory stage enamel of both strains. Protein interaction analysis showed interaction between the ENAM and other types of collagen. Another interesting finding was the possibility of uncharacterized sequence Q8BIS2 be an extracellular matrix protein involved on degradation of matrix proteins. These findings suggest that collagen is present on dental enamel and it seems to have a role in amelogensis. Furthermore, the existence of an new enzyme could be the key to elucidation of the mechanisms involved in the enamel biomineralization and the genetic susceptibility to dental fluorosis.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Carbonos no material ativo de baterias chumbo-ácido(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-08-12) Tsurumaki, Maumi; D'Alkaine, Carlos Ventura; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8699821828310072Different types of carbon has been studied globally as additives for negative active material of lead acid batteries aiming to improve the charge acceptance and the cycling endurance of the batteries when applied in PSoC (Partial State of Charge) condition of start stop application. This study focused in the carbon black and graphite available in the market. It has been developed a laboratory method to produce the negative plates and then cells of type “p/n/p” has been assembled for characterization of negative plates produced in the laboratory. In the first part of the study it was observed the physical effects caused by addition of different amounts of carbon in the lead oxide paste which compounds the negative plate of the battery. It has observed in the experiments that higher the amount of carbon added in the lead oxide, more amount of water needed to produce the lead oxide paste in the plastic region. In the second part of the study it was verified the influence of carbon black or graphite addition in the electrochemical performance of negative plates. The plates produced with addition of 0.2 % of carbon black, or 2.0 % of graphite presented the plate capacity in mA h g-1 in the Peukert’s representation very similar to the plates of serial production from market. In the case of the plates produced with addition of 0.2 % of graphite, the test resulted in lower capacity in mA h g-1 in Peukert’s representation, very close to the plates produced without carbon addition. In the charge and discharge endurance test in PSoC condition, the plates produced in the laboratory with addition of 0.2 % of carbon black or 2.0 % of graphite presented better potential stability measured in V/cycle if compared to the plates of serial production from market or even plates produced with addition of only 0.2 % of graphite. These data signs to estimation of higher number of cycles until the end of life of the negative plates produced with 0.2 % of carbon black or 2.0 % of graphite, showing the beneficial effects of carbons in the negative active material of lead acid battery.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Reflexos da terceirização no serviço público federal : análise de elementos do contrato de serviços de limpeza da Universidade Federal de São Carlos frente à reforma do estado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-08-12) D’Angelo, Camila Luchesi Silveira; Capella, Ana Cláudia Niedhardt; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5810332148425938; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6800122123448874Outsourcing is a premise of flexible work that emerged on second half of 20th century and was quickly spread around the world. Coming to Brazil, it was included in government's guidelines around 1960's, in order to reduce the state apparatus. During the Reform of Brazilian State, in the 1990's, this form of hiring took larger proportions – although it was not the main theme of the changes – due to the issued legislation, specially for decree no. 2.271 of 1997, which determined that ancillary activities in federal service must be extinguished and substituted by located labor. Since then, an increasing number of administrative contracts have been signed between the public authority and service provider companies. This dissertation considers this context. The case study aims to investigate some of the influences exerted by the legislation created during the last Reform of Brazilian State over the contracts execution, taking as example the last experience of cleaning service at Universidade Federal de São Carlos. The text presents some general outsourcing concepts and history; the reforms by which Brazilian State has gone through during the last century and its consequent chances; the characterization of the institution where the search has been developed; a critical analysis of the cleaning service contract, highlighting the points concerning to supervision, for which, not only a public worker, but a monitoring Commission and a accompaniment group were designated. Finally, a sketch of satisfaction survey is proposed, to be answered by the whole academic community, objecting to reveal the user's view about the studied service. The legal instruments which permit practical contract inspection are often considered onerous and insufficient to avoid damaging denouement to the service, the public authority and, especially, to the employees hired by this work regime.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Gestão pública contemporânea e a prática administrativa : estudo de caso do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo - IFSP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2015-08-12) Mariotti Junior, Claudemir; Ribeiro, Pedro José Floriano; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6336151484882362; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6676800088984129The settings of traditional public administration do not pay attention to the demands of contemporary society, which required changes in its structure from the 70s, so that it is possible to offer a more efficient service, to provide higher quality for citizens. In this vein, there appear the proposals of the movement called New Public Management, who design new ways of public management by incorporating techniques derived from the business management. This transformation reached Brazil only from the 90s, especially in the FHC government, but its impact on the change in the public bureaucracy are still developing. This study aims to value the development of public bureaucracy for the efficiency of its management and study the tools proposed by the New Public Management, to show how these ideas were adopted by the Brazilian government. These inputs will serve as a basis for analysis of case study of a new body in the educational sector: Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo. Through the analysis of his rectory and decentralized drive Matão, the proposal is to show that this one due to the combination of the current configuration of the public bureaucracy, coupled with an intense policy of expansion of the body, has a management permeated by deficiencies related to the adoption of inadequate management methodologies and it is possible to increase efficiency of its shares if engage in work with proposals of New Public Management.
