Item type:Item, Um estudo sobre crescimento de nanofios de fosfeto de índio e algumas de suas propriedades(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-13) ;Kamimura, Hanay ;Chiquito, Adenilson José ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7087360072774314https://lattes.cnpq.br/2414357209169841This work presents the development of an experimental apparatus and a route for the growth of InP nanowires whose general characteristics and properties made them suitable for the construction of electronic devices. Among theses characteristics, one may cite: desired dimensions, uniformity, quantity and composition. The synthesis system allowed the growth of a large amount of InP nanowires with diameter distributed around values smaller than 80 nm, grown in different substrates, covering them with a dense and uniform layer. Most important, all this in a reproducible way. The structural and morphological analyses, which resulted in the above described characteristics also allowed the observation of a amorphous/polycrystalline layer around the mono crystalline nucleus of the nanowires. Afterwards, the optoelectronic properties of the samples were studied. For this purpose, three types of devices were fabricated: single nanowire based devica, built using photolitography; nanowires network based device built from direct evaporation of contacts over the nanowires layer and from the growth of nanowires over pre defined contacts. The electronic transport mechanism was investigated by temperature dependent resistance measurements, obtaining the same dominant mechanism of hopping in all three types of device. This result indicates that the effect of the disorder attributed to the amorphous/polycrystalline layer and its interface to the monocrystalline nucleus was a critical factor to the determination of the sample’s properties. In order to complement and confirm the obtained results, other experiments were carried out: thermally stimulated current, showing additional energy levels inside the band gap, indicated in literature as levels originated from structural disorder; photo luminescence measurements, presenting a strong potential fluctuation due to localized states and photoconductivity, obtaining a sub linear dependence with the power excitation, typically observed in material with the presence of carrier traps. In this manner, the influence of localized states due to structural disorder was confirmed as the maind factor to the samples behaviour for both electronic and optical properties.Item type:Item, Percepção dos gestores escolares sobre a utilização da caminhada para acesso à escola(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-13) ;Onishi, Viviane Leão da Silva ;Sanches, Suely da Penha ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3857424839674606https://lattes.cnpq.br/1508424989134008Brazil's cities in recent decades have a predominance of car use as children's mode of transport to school. In carrying out the route home-school by motorized modes children practice less physical activity to the detriment of health. Policies developed in schools can play an important role in determining how students travel to school. In this context, this research aims to identify the factors that influence the perception of managers about using the walk to access the school. The focuses of the research are the municipal and private elementary schools 1. The case study was conducted in the city of São José do Rio Preto. Data collection was carried out with the school managers (directors, coordinators and teachers) through questionnaires on travel behavior of the students, information on any activities at school to teach students to behave in traffic, opinions of management on the relationship between physical activity and health of children, children's ability to to walk to school, the barriers surrounding the school and attitude of managers regarding the use of different modes of transport and the impact of vehicle traffic in urban . The results showed that the estimation of directors and coordinators on the modes of transport used by students does not differ from a survey conducted by teachers significantly, and in private schools motorized individual transport is the most used by students and public schools over half of students walk or use public transportation to school. It was found that the traffic behavior on teaching is applied in all schools, although the directors and coordinators are more likely to say that the activities are carried out in your school. The school managers have a positive perception of the importance of physical activity, with acceptance rates above 90%. There is no consensus about the best age and abilities of children to make safe decisions alone and analysis on the perception of managers of barriers around the schools that may hinder access to foot it was found that about half of the managers have positive about the quality of the environment around the schools, but other managers have indifferent opinion about the quality of the environment. Regarding the use of different modes of transport it was observed that attitudes regarding the use of buses are in general negative, more than half of managers are indifferent to automobile use and favorable to the use of the walk. In the manager's attitude regarding the impact of vehicle traffic in urban areas the vast majority of managers are concerned about the impact of traffic on the environment. Perceptions regarding the active mobility should be worked through school policies to improve students' skills as pedestrians and through public policies to improve the environment in the school environment and encourage the use of active modes of transportation.Item type:Item, Provisão do Programa “Minha Casa Minha Vida” em São José do Rio Preto – SP : inserção, adequação urbana e socioeconômica de empreendimentos habitacionais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-13) ;Meireles, Eduardo ;Castro, Carolina Maria Pozzi de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2178910002833930https://lattes.cnpq.br/1856762188427793The development of a nation is directly linked to the solution of their major social problems. In Brazil, the housing deficit stands out among the social problems that need solving. However, the Brazilian government has spent the last 30 years without directing a massive investment in housing, sanitation and transport, which in turn caused serious problems in Brazilian cities. Since 2005, considering the emergence of solutions to this issue, it is observed by the federal government the resumption of investments, which gave priority to some concentrated management tools, based on the central axis of infrastructure producing that supports economic activities. At the end of the 2000s, with the worsening of an economic crisis of global reach, the federal government adopts a Keynesian and anti-cyclical strategy to resume growth: investment in public policies in housing area with the housing program called "Minha Casa, Minha Vida" (MCMV). From the urban point of view, the measures taken by the government originated sociospatial segregation and environmental problems, since the state does not equated the access to housing with city distribution, because it markedly prioritized the economic area of the PMCMV, insofar as the focus returned to the mass production of dwelling units. This work aims to understand the provision of the PMCMV in the city of São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, Brazil, by analyzing the urban integration and socio-economic and urban appropriateness of two projects from the category 2 in the city in question. The methodology for this work was a quantitative research following the survey method (Babbie, 1999), besides using the qualitative research strategies, such as the study of post-facto case (Yin, 2010). For the application of quantitative research, 302 residents of two projects were interviewed according to a sample calculation. Then it was used a descriptive approach to treating the location of enterprises and public facilities. Based on the results of survey research, there was a correlation analysis and a factor and cluster analysis to check the interaction between the studied variables. Some researches and analysis show that PMCMV ventures in the city of São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo from the category 2 have problems of urban integration, peripheral location with limited access to transportation, health and education, as well as other issues to be addressed in this study. In conclusion, it was found a series of actions are still needed in order to perpetuate, deepen and broaden the access to housing from the point of view of public policies. Our reflections lead us to realize that the right to decent and adequate housing goes beyond distributing houses on the peripheries of cities, because it includes actions such as land-location distribution, urbanized land, a better oversight in the country of the regulation concerning the use and occupation of urban land.Item type:Item, Diversidade de Dytiscidae (Coleoptera) em áreas úmidas do Rio Grande do Sul(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-14) ;Gomes, Julia Gibertoni ;Gessner, Alaíde Aparecida Fonseca ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8465752836529703https://lattes.cnpq.br/0552130489388929Beetles represented the largest group of animais but end up neglected in ecological studies and much of its wildlife has not described, mainly in tropical areas of great diversity. Dytiscidae, larger family of water beetles, prefers lentic environments, which can be divided according to their hydroperiod in permanent and periodic. The distribution of these ditiscidae were tested in this study in 104 wetlands of Rio Grande do Sul (RS) to detect differences in the composition of each hydroperiod, also serving as a survey of taxa occurring. Were sampled 1905 specimens from 21 genera with the first record in the state of genera Platynectes, Uvarus and Pachydrus. Multivariate Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) found that only biome and hydroperiod influenced the fauna. The differencce of the beta diversity among hydroperiods was significant, showing that varied in composition with each other, and communities in more homogeneous perennial areas than those found in the periodic areas. Despite the difference of the faunal composition richness showed similar values when standardized by rarefaction curve and each hydroperiod presented exclusive taxa.Item type:Item, Desenvolvimento de um instrumento para auditoria da caminhabilidade em áreas escolares(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-14) ;Nanya, Luciana Mayumi ;Sanches, Suely da Penha ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/3857424839674606https://lattes.cnpq.br/5668884386564690Brazilian cities have shown a change in behavior in using the mode of transport used by children to access school. It can be associate this change to several factors, such as distance home-school and the quality of spaces for walking. Programs like Safe Routes to Schools seek to make the way to school safer for pedestrians and cyclists. Environmental audits help in the planning of Safe Routes to Schools identifying barriers and facilitators of the use of active modes of transportation. The objective of this research is to develop and validate an audit tool and evaluation of walkability into school for elementary schools in midsized cities. The application of audit tool developed was in the city of São José do Rio Preto - SP in 3 municipal primary schools located in different areas of the city. Two researchers conducted the audit. To assess the inter-rater reliability concordance percentages were used. The results show good reliability for the proposed audit instrument, with high percentages of agreement (above 80%). The results of the audit of the two researchers to calculate the Index Walkability area were considered. For comparisons between the means allocated to the segments and intersections was carried out ANOVA. Among the characteristics of the segments, it was found that at least one of the evaluated areas is different from the other (p <0.05). For the variables of signalized intersections not, the test indicates that, for the items width of the cross and accessibility, there is no statistical difference between the variables (p> 0.05) (researcher data 1). For the variables of signalized intersections not, (research data 2) the test indicates that, for the item width of the cross there is no statistical difference between the variables (p> 0.05). The application of the instrument can be an important tool in city planning process, in that it can identify opportunities and deficiencies in walkability surrounding schools to increase the safety and comfort of children during their walks to school.Item type:Item, Estudo comparativo dos efeitos dos Espaços de Circulação e Permanência de Pedestres (ECPP) sobre o manejo das águas de chuva(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-14) ;Parra, Geovana Geloni ;Teixeira, Bernardo Arantes do Nascimento ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/1166854416745527https://lattes.cnpq.br/3904401925241642The cities have grown significantly and in a disorderly way, without minimum urban planning, which has provoked to urban and environmental problems. Among many consequences of this growth, high soil waterproofing features highlight due to the consequences it brings, as the occurrence of floods, floods and spread of waterborne diseases. Much of the runoff of rainwater comes from the paved soil, and is possible observe that about 20% of the urban area of a city is paved with the function of serving as circulation area of pedestrians or vehicles, according to the Federal Law No. 6766 of 19 December 1979 which provides for the division of urban soil and other measures (BRAZIL, 1979). In this context the objective of this research is the study of the effects of the spaces of Circulation and Permanence Pedestrians (ECPP) on the management of rainwater, with the empirical object one experimental watershed located on the campus of UFSCar in São Carlos / SP, and two areas urbanized in the city of Sao Jose do Rio Preto / SP. For this, it was made the identification of different types of floors, characterization and hydrological efficiency, research in academic papers and catalogs of suppliers, and analyze the areas and conditions of ECPPs within the perimeters of study under the hydrologic context, design, implementation, and maintenance costs. The findings evaluate the effects of ECPPs on the management of rainwater, and compare the results between the three ECPPs. These results show that the ECPP located in USFCar contributes 6% to runoff, while the ECPP Pedestrian street 35% and ECPP Neighborhood 9% to project parties were adopted that destined runoff for grassed areas or permeable floors these scenarios would be 2% contribution to ECPP UFSCar, 0.2% of flow for ECPP Pedestrian Street and 2% for ECPP Neighborhood. So is possible reduce runoff using hydrologically functional floors, implementing and using the green areas as a design element, providing knowledge of data and materials that can contribute to new ways to plan and execute the ECPPs.Item type:Item, Utilização do complexo de rutênio cis- [Ru(bpy)2(NO2)(NO)](PF6)2) para reverter e/ou prevenir a disfunção endotelial na hipertensão arterial(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-14) ;Vatanabe, Izabela Pereira ;Rodrigues, Gerson Jhonatan ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6725550216586910https://lattes.cnpq.br/3546552931158643The endothelium is a monolayer of cells that extends on the vascular inner surface, responsible for the modulation of vascular tone. By means of the release of nitric oxide (NO), the endothelium has an important protective function against cardiovascular diseases, producing vasodilation by several mechanisms and generating a series of other effects, since at high concentrations it may produce toxic effects to the cells. However, endothelial dysfunction is characterized mainly by the decreased ability of endothelial cells to release NO, which may be due to reaction with superoxide anion (O2 -) and formation of peroxynitrite (ONOO-). In previous studies, it was found that ruthenium complexes can also inactivate O2 - and NO release. However, through vascular reactivity technique in aortic hypertensive and normotensive rats, and detection study of released NO in endothelial cells, the objective of this study was to evaluate the potential of the drug cis- [Ru(bpy)2(NO2)(NO)](PF6)2 as a pharmacologic strategy to reverse and/or prevent endothelial dysfunction found in the arterial hypertension model 2K-1C as well as to perform the pharmacological characterization of the dependent effects removal of O2 - and NO release induced by these drugs. Thus our major vascular reactivity results indicated that the BPY concentration of 0.1 μM was able to reverse the endothelial dysfunction present in the aortas of animals 2K-1C. Likewise, its positive control, Deta-NO in a specific concentration of 10 μM was able to reverse endothelial dysfunction, besides presenting a potentiating effect in the presence of endothelium. Furthermore, our results indicate that the lowest detection of NO in HUVECs treated with Ang. II, in addition to BPY compound occurs by the increased formation of O2 -, since in the presence of SOD there was an increased release of NO by BPY. Furthermore, it was observed that the BPY releases NO in solution in a sustained concentration-dependent form, where the presence of the endothelial cells increased and Angiotensin II reduces NO release, indicating a reduction or oxidation in BPY compound and also degradation of NO the formation of O2 -.Item type:Item, Epígrafes e diálogos na poesia de Machado de Assis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-14) ;Miasso, Audrey Ludmilla do Nascimento ;Marques, Wilton José ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/5763590592946918https://lattes.cnpq.br/9186310434443185On the epigraphs that accompany some poems of Crisálidas (1864), by Machado de Assis, there is the parade of authors such as Dante, Camões Heine and Homer. The same happens in the following books of poems, Falenas (1870) and Americanas (1875). The choice of these names reveals authors of Machado's library that accompanied him throughout his career and that influenced his composition so since his debut in the lyrics. Such names dialogue with Machado's poetry and help us to better understand the poetic composition of the author, and not only source of supply for the poems, but also in relationship with them on the issue of understanding of the work, giving them a new meaning.Item type:Item, Verdades econômicas e verdades políticas - o sistema financeiro em debate(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-15) ;Assis, Karina Gomes de ;Grün, Roberto ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6028266827740491https://lattes.cnpq.br/4058077286734344This thesis is dedicated to the unveiling of the building game of the Brazilian political and economic possibilities in the recent period taking into account a specific period of national political and economic debate between the presidential elections of 2002 and the first year of the Lula government. We start from the premise that such possibilities, through establishment of truths, strengthen themselves from the interplay of forces produced in the economic and political fields whose success depends on the degree of strength of actors, groups and institutions in the scenario of dispute. We look back on the debate occurred around the financial rules discussed in the National Congress, which extends and is gain ground in elections for the presidency of the republic, where Lula and Serra would dispute the first and second round. Economic issues are discussed in the light of the broader issues that concern a more general situation of planning of Brazilian society, demonstrating how this debate is part of a dispute that goes beyond economic and political issues, it really concerns the cultural order to be legitimized. In this context actors, groups and institutions, from their capital, articulate themselves in the construction of possibilities, establishing criteria of truths that conform the interpretive lens of reality, interesting point to check the trends to which is subject to Brazilian society.Item type:Item, Caracterização farmacológica dos efeitos induzidos pelo complexo de rutênio cis-[Ru(H-dcbpy-)2(Cl)(NO2- )] e Nitroprussiato de Sódio na disfunção endotelial(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-15) ;Buzinari, Tereza Cristina ;Pestana, Cezar Rangel ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2977349506621829 ;Rodrigues, Gerson Jhonatanhttps://lattes.cnpq.br/6725550216586910Endothelial dysfunction has been considered a marker for the presence of cardiovascular disease. It is characterized by decreased release of vasodilatory factors and increased of vasoconstrictors factors. Nitric oxide (NO) is the main endogenous vasodilator molecule that regulates the vascular tone and homeostasis. Decrease in the bioavailability of NO can be caused by a variaty of factors, including the increase in the production of superoxide radical O2 •-. The production of O2 •- can be stimulated by angiotensin II, by the enzyme complex of the NADPH oxidase activation. Thus, the objective of this work was to study the effects induced by ruthenium complex cis-[Ru(H-dcbpy-)2(Cl)(NO2 -)] (DCBPY) and sodium nitroprusside (SNP) in endothelial dysfunction model, as well as perform the pharmacological characterization of the dependent effects removal of O2 •- and release of nitric oxide (NO) induced by these drugs. Normotensive (2K) and hypertensive (2K-1C) wistar rats were used. Aortic rings with intact endothelium were placed in a myograph and incubated with DCBPY: 0.1; 1.0 ou 10 μM ou com SNP: 0.1; 1.0 ou 10 nM during 30 minutes. Curves concentration-effect of acetylcholine (ACh) were built where it was possible to analyze all concentrations DCBPY and NPS improved relaxation induced by ACh. NO was measured intracellular (for DAF-2DA probe) in HUVEC treated with 0.1 μM of DCBPY, 0.1 nM a SNP and 0.1 μM DETA-NO. It was not detected NO release of the compounds DCBPY [0.1 μM] and SNP [0.1 nM]. It also evaluated the release of NO compound DCBPY using an electrode selective for NO. The compound DCBPY spontaneously release NO in solution form concentrationdependent, starting from 10 μM concentration. DCBPY released more NO in the presence of cells. This could be due to the reduction of the compound by reducing cell. Intracellular detection of superoxide radical (O2 •-) was obtained by using the fluorescent probe (DHE). Our results show that treatment of cells with DCBPY [0.1 μM] and SNP [0.1 nM] decreased the fluorescence intensity cells stimulated with angiotensin II. Thus, it is suggested that DCBPY and SNP at a concentration which does not release NO, inside the cells, they are capable of attenuating endothelial dysfunction by inactivating superoxide. Item type:Item, Avaliação do comportamento hidrológico de poços de infiltração de águas pluviais sob diferentes concepções(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-15) ;Ferreira, Thays Santos ;Barbassa, Ademir Paceli ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2979012440240781https://lattes.cnpq.br/5744881406566183Infiltration wells are BMP that occupy small urban area in order to minimize the effects of urbanization and soil sealing. The BMP reduces the frequency of flooding in urban areas. The present study aims to evaluate the behavior of two infiltration wells. One (Poço1- SC) was constructed with concrete rings get laterally together with the soil without the use of lateral holes and with a granular layer at the bottom of the BMP. The other (Poço2-GHidro) comprises the use of lateral concrete rings, a granular lateral and external layer external to improve the distribution of water, a filter of geotextile in the cover, and additional filters at the bottom and at the lateral wall between the gravel and soil. The experimental program involves the soil characterization, monitoring and modeling of real and simulated rainfall events imposed two systems. In addition, physical clogging tests were conducted in order to provide the understanding of the behavior of the geotextile filter applied in infiltration wells in order to estimate the service life. After two years, significant differences between the hydrological behaviors of the two infiltration wells were not identified and significant indication of clogging, was not observed. The calibration of the Puls model applied in modeling was employed using constant and variable hydraulic conductivity (K) values. In both wells the model showed more satisfactory results when variable K is used. This was observed for both the real and simulated events. In physical clogging tests, it was concluded that the solids particle distribution presents in rainwater runoff has a significant effect in the behavior of geotextile filter. The estimated average of service life of the filter in the Poço2- GHidro, at the conditions in which it is imposed, varies from 31 to 71 years, which depends on the type of soil in rainfall water runoff.Item type:Item, Proposta de metodologia para avaliação de acessibilidade em cidades de porte médio : um estudo de caso em São José do Rio Preto(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-15) ;Bernal, Luciana Mação ;Ferreira, Marcos Antonio Garcia ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/2643134259454260https://lattes.cnpq.br/6245633021120476This research aims to propose a methodology for accessibility evaluation in middle-sized cities presenting a case study held in São José do Rio Preto (SP), city in the northwest of the São Paulo state. For this, the research used is based on a quality indicator (SQI – Sidewalks Quality Index, developed by Ferreira e Sanches, 2001). The questionnaires application in wheelchair users allowed the information collection in a qualitative and quantitative level regarding of security, comfort and environment in sidewalks and crossings and the carry through of a technical evaluation in the central area of the city. From these steps, as a methodology proposal, it was possible to elaborate an Accessibility Evaluation Index (AEI). This index was applied in the central area of the case study and an auditing (validation) was realized in order to verify the correct elaboration of the index. The present research was applied in a middle-sized city, the city type that has the fastest currently increase (IBGE, 2010), making the index an important accessibility evaluation tool. Thus, it grants the correction of identified accessibility problems avoiding the formation of cities whit segregated spaces, in people with some type of deficiency, with reduced mobility or elders do not have access to the city.Item type:Item, Dois ensaios sobre precificação de ativos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-15) ;Marconi, Tamyris ;Diniz, Marcio Alves ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8948404469003829https://lattes.cnpq.br/1329040435179017Find fair (according to some criterion) prices for assets in financial markets is one of the most important pillars of Finance Theory. To accomplish this, the Asset Pricing Theory has a mathematical formulation, based mainly on Probability Theory. In this dissertation we present such theory, which is essentially based on mar- tingales, important objects of Probability Theory. Alternatively, we also present an Asset Pricing Theory based on the Coherence Theory of Bruno de Finetti in order to compare, informally, such approaches.Item type:Item, Evolução molecular e padrões de expressão de genes da família das proteínas ligantes a odores (OBPs) em duas espécies de moscas-das-frutas do grupo Anastrepha fraterculus(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-18) ;Campanini, Emeline Boni ;Brito, Reinaldo Alves de ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/8253066295947754https://lattes.cnpq.br/8505454258477866Odorant-binding proteins (OBPs) are of great importance for survival and reproduction since they participate in initial steps of the olfactory signal transduction cascade, solubilizing and transporting chemical signals to the olfactory receptors. A comparative analysis of OBPs between closely related species may help explain how these genes evolve and are maintained under natural selection and how differences in these proteins can affect olfactory responses, and consequently lead to species differentiation. We studied OBP genes in the closely related species Anastrepha fraterculus and Anastrepha obliqua, which, albeit generalists, have different host preferences, using transcriptomes and real time quantitative PCR data. We identified 24 different OBP sequences from Anastrepha fraterculus and 25 from A. obliqua, which correspond to 21 Drosophila melanogaster OBP genes. Phylogenetic analysis separated Anastrepha OBPs sequences in four branches that represent four subfamilies: classic, minus-C, plus-C and dimer. We found evidence of positive selection in three classic subfamily genes OBP56h-1, OBP56h-2 e OBP57c and in the plus-C subfamily gene OBP50a, and at least one duplication event that preceded the speciation of these two species. Four positively selected sites putatively resulted in radical changes in amino acid properties. Inferences on tertiary structures of putative proteins from these genes revealed that at least one positively selected change involves the binding cavity (the odorant binding region) in the plus-C OBP50a, which is important because changes in the binding cavity could change OBPs specificity. Differential gene expression analysis at different reproductive stages showed that all nine OBP genes tested were significantly differentially expressed between A. fraterculus and A. obliqua at several reproductive profiles, but OBP56a, OBP56d, OBP57c and both OBP56h paralogs showed the highest differences in expression levels. The results generated in this study indicated that at least seven OBP genes may be involved in the A. fraterculus e A. obliqua differentiation, and in the fraterculus group differentiation as well.Item type:Item, Comissão Nacional da Verdade: limites e desafios(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-18) ;Pereira, Bruna Ferrari ;Souza, Eliana Maria de Melo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7578164996915641 ;Cepêda, Vera Alveshttps://lattes.cnpq.br/4917331423373631In this research we conducted a rigorous study of the final report of the National Truth Commission, seeking to understand how the current political and social situation in the country was limited and overshadowed the gains brought by this Commission. This research had as material beyond the final report, the military's statements given to the Commission, the newspaper reports on the subject and a vast literature on the subject. From this material, the main objective of this research was to analyze how civil-military relations during the work of CNV are directly related to the permanence of the dictatorial legacy in our current democracy.Item type:Item, A qualidade de vida da criança durante a internação hospitalar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-18) ;Pastega, Mariana Gonçalves ;Della Barba, Patrícia Carla de Souza ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6448489426438006 ;Joaquim, Regina Helena Vitale Torkomianhttps://lattes.cnpq.br/7719481657895650Childhood is characterized by a development process in which the play is essential for the quality of life. Nevertheless, in hospitalization, studies indicate changes in the performance of the play, and consequently, the quality of children's life. It was proposed to assess the child's quality of life during hospitalization. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional research, which proposed to compare two groups, one (Group 1) in the absence of toy room or permanent toy in pediatric ward and the other (Group 2) in the presence of toy or toy room in the pediatric ward. Twelve children were interviewed, 8 belonging to Group 1 and 4 to Group 2, aged six to 12 years, it was used the Autoquestionnaire Qualité De Vie Enfant Imagé (AUQEI), as well as interviews with the participants and their responsible ones. The results revealed in Group 1 the possibility of interaction and play among children, different from Group 2 in which it was noted restrictions on single room (bed-box). As to permanent toy, it was not observed effectiveness regarding access and use on free demand, obtaining satisfactory results in relation to play in the service of occupational therapy. It was found that children who play reported positive feelings (happiness) during the hospitalization experience. In AUQEI scale, it was verified in Group 1 that 37.5% of children have had damages in the quality of life, being the average 49.5 with P.D. = 5.88, above the cutoff of 48 expected to satisfactory quality of life. While in Group 2, the damage was appointed in 75% of the cases, with an average of 46.5 with P.D. = 4.65, that is, below expectations. Statistically, it was not observed significant differences by the Mann-Whitney test (5%) between the comparison of groups, being not rejected the hypothesis that the groups are equal, however, it is considered the particularities and diversities of the groups. The AUQEI instrument showed good psychometric properties when applied to the two groups. The study shows the establishment of a positive relationship to the sense of well being and quality of life for children who play. Moreover, it must be considered the clinical condition, the subjectivity of the way to understand and face this experience and the importance of play, especially as the stimulus. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the look, be careful and sensitive to everything around a hospitalized child, consider that the toy itself often needs incentives to become play, or that even without the toy, playing can be explored and meet the child's whole needs.Item type:Item, Encontros de diálogos no pré-natal e o cuidado materno às intercorrências com o recém-nascido(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-18) ;Lino, Amanda de Assunção ;Wernet, Monika ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/6056127658896265https://lattes.cnpq.br/2447883324252420Introduction: The promotion of child development is among the priorities of the Health Agenda The prenatal period is considered as strategic for bond formation and empowerment of women, and we can also tell your family. One way of overcoming this inhibition effect is to use extractive fermentation, where the ethanol is removed from the broth during the fermentation process. The present work evaluated sucrose ethanol production using extractive fermentation using CO2 as stripping gas. Firstly, it was made investigation of the influence of specific CO2 flow rate, initial ethanol concentration and solution temperature on ethanol stripping by CO2. At this stage the modeling of the of ethanol and water removal was achieved by CO2 stripping according to a first order model. In sequence, it was studied the production of ethanol by extractive fermentation in batch and fed-batch modes, employing in a 5 L bubble column bioreactor and temperature of 34.0 °C. The kinetic parameters of the hybrid Andrews-Levenspiel model were estimated by modeling of conventional batch and fed-batch fermentations (without stripping) with CS0 of 180 g.L-1. Mathematical modeling of extractive in batch and fed-batch ethanol fermentation was developed considering the removal of ethanol and water, due to the CO2 stripping, according to a first order model. Later it was optimized the production of ethanol by extractive fed-batch fermentation. A genetic algorithm was used to simultaneous optimization the substrate feed rate (F) and the ethanol concentration (CE0) to start CO2 stripping in extractive fed-batch fermentation, so as to obtain the maximum ethanol productivity. The ethanol removal by stripping with carbon dioxide can be modeled as a first order model. The hybrid model of Andrews-Levenspiel was adequate to describe the kinetics of batch and fed batch ethanol fermentation. The proposed model for extractive ethanol fermentation with CO2 was adequate to describe the behavior of extractive fermentation in batch and fed batch modes. In the extractive ethanol fermentation with CO2 stripping an increase in substrate uptake rate (rS=−dCs/dt) after the beginning of ethanol stripping and the total consumption of the substrate occurred before the extractive fermentation compared to the conventional process. The extractive batch fermentation with CS0=180 g.L-1 and CO2 stripping initiated after 3 h of fermentation at an ethanol concentration of 43.3 g.L-1, resulted in an ethanol productivity (in g.L-1.h-1) about 25% higher than conventional batch fermentation. For fed-batch fermentation, vat filling time (Ft) of 5 h and start of ethanol stripping at 3 h of fermentation substantially reduced the inhibitory effects of the substrate and ethanol on the yeast cells. This condition enabled the extractive fed-batch ethanol fermentation to be performed using substrate concentrations of up to 240 g.L−1 in the feed. The total ethanol concentration reached 110.3 g.L−1 (14 °GL) (wine + entrained). The use of the optimization tool enabled using substrate concentrations of up to 300 g.L-1 generating a total concentration of ethanol of 17.2 °GL (wine + entrained), which means an increase of 65% compared to the concentration final ethanol obtained in conventional fermentation without stripping.Item type:Item, Caracterização analítica de rochas silicatadas e avaliação de seu potencial agrícola como fonte de potássio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-04-19) ;Penha, Maria da Natividade Chagas ;Nogueira, Ana Rita de Araújo ;https://lattes.cnpq.br/7034773971317045https://lattes.cnpq.br/3058538599121106This study evaluated the agronomic efficiency of application of powder of silicate rocks as potassium sources in consecutive crops of millet and alfalfa in a greenhouse experiment. The rocks Biotite Schist (BX), Syenite Ceraima (TA15), Mafurito Acreuna (TA21), Syenite SANW (TA20), Biotite Gneiss (EL02), and Phonolite Curimbaba (FN) were applied as slowreleased potassium sources in three doses 1.25; 2.50; and 5.0 g kg-1 of ground rock. Potassium chloride was used as standard fertilizer in doses of 0.10; 0,20; and 0.40 g of KCl kg-1 of soil. The soil used in the experiments was a Latosol, with 1.2 mmol dm-3 of potassium content. The TA21 rock was tested with and without soil acidity correction (TA21WL). In order to evaluate the rocks K reliase, five consecutive crops were performed: (1) millet (62 days of planting); (2), (3) and (4) Alfalfa (80, 115 and 155 days of planting, respectively), and (5) with 80 days of planting. The dry matter yield in the alfalfa was significantly lower than that millet cultivation. The forage samples were HNO3 + H2O2 microwave assisted digested for K determining content. The samples of rocks were characterized by X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and particle size distribution. Afterward, extraction experiments with Mehlich 1, and different extraction times of acetic acid and fumaric acid 0.05mol L-1 were performed. Aluminium, Ca, K, Mg, Mn, Na, P, and Zn were quantified by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP OES) in all the obtained extracts. The method of ion exchange resin was also applied to evaluated the rocks, and K, Ca, Mg, and P were quantified. Potassium soluble was determined by flame photometry after extraction with hot water, according to with the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) official method. For drastic extraction, two microwave assisted decomposition methods were evaluated: aqua regia and reversed aqua regia with H2O2. Aluminiun, Ca, K, Mg, Mn, Na, and Zn were quantified by ICP OES and the results, compared by using the paired t-test, presented no significant difference between the decomposition methods in the 95% range of confidence. The correlation between the extractors, the nutrients plants amount, and agronomic efficiency was evaluated from the extraction obtained concentrations and the amount of extracted potassium in crops. The use of lime in soils that received the addition of TA21 rock significantly influenced the absorption of potassium and was no effect on the release of K only when this rock was added to the soil without prior liming.treatment. The decreasing order of potassium extraction efficiency, considering the total applied in treatments and K extracted by plants was EL02> TA21-SC> KCl> FN> BX> TA20> TA15> TA21. The two developed decomposition methods showed a better correlation with potassium extracted from the EL02 rocks. The greenhouse study corroborated the extraction tests performed in the laboratory, which indicated that the EL02 rock is the one with the highest percentage of K release compared with the other evaluated rocks.
