The machining process applied in the fabrication of these components is a low efficiency process regard ing material utilization, generating a solid waste composed by noble alloy machining chips with great potential of application. However, this material is usually sold as scrap for the secondary aluminum industries, which use it for low performance applications. The present work is a continuation of the effort provided by others researchers, who have been searching a higher value-added destination for this material through its reintroduction as a high quality and high strength final product, whose proprieties are compatible with those provided by the original alloy. Although, traditional foundry practices are unsuitable for this purpose, resulting in a poor quality material. Hence, this study aims to characterize a wire produced by a process route comprising AA7050 machining chips spray forming remelting, followed by extrusion and swaging; resulting in a 2.7 mm diameter wire. The microstructural characterization was carried out by scanning electronic microscope (SEM), transmission electronic microscope (TEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The mechanical properties were evaluated by tensile and fatigue tests. Fracture surface analyses were carried out by SEM. The results allowed correlating wire microstructure, through alloy intermetallics characterization, with its monotonic and cyclic mechanical properties. It was possible to verify the microstructural effects in fracture behavior of the tested wires. The AA7050 alloy wires showed high tensile and fatigue (HCF) strength, with possible applications in power transmission cables and, even, their reintroduction in the aerospace industry.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Atenção psicossocial de adolescentes : a percepção de profissionais da atenção básica e estratégica em saúde mental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-12-19) Silva, Jaqueline Ferreira da; Cid, Maria Fernanda Barboza; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3245157370848472The historical path of the attention to the mental health of children and adolescents accompanied, in a particular and late way, the paths taken in the care of the adult population with psychic suffering, so that from the beginning of the nineteenth century there is recognition of the needs of care to the child and adolescent population, being, at first, the historical care delegated to the educational and social assistance sectors. However, from a few milestones, such as the Brazilian psychiatric reform and the declaration of human rights, it became possible to develop a new conception for childhood and adolescence, as well as the recognition of child and adolescent psychosocial care in the public policy arena. However, literature in the area has pointed to the scarcity of research that focuses on the assistance to Mental Health of adolescents, since they have presented significant indexes of psychic suffering, and indicate the need for more research that can subsidize the actions and policies aimed at this population. Thus, the present study aimed to identify how psychosocial attention has been given to the adolescent from the perspective of professionals linked to a service of Strategic Psychosocial Care (CAPS) and to Basic Health Care services (UBS and USF). In order to respond to the proposed objectives, a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research was developed. The study was attended by 19 professionals from the Strategic Psychosocial Attention Service (CAPSij) and Basic Health Care (UBS and USF) and located in a medium-sized municipality in the interior of the State of São Paulo. Four data collection instruments were developed, two forms for characterization of professionals and services, and two semi-structured interviews for professionals. The data coming from the forms were analyzed in a descriptive way and those of the interviews were investigated by the Thematic Analysis, one of the techniques foreseen in the Content Analysis Method. The main results of the interviews with CAPSij professionals indicated that it acts as a gateway to the mental health demand of adolescents in the municipality, which is perceived as a challenge, considering the role of the service in the definition of eligible cases or not for the CAPSij. In addition, the participants also reported on the difficulties that the team faces with regard to the adherence of the adolescents users to the service, indicating the need for more strategies that facilitate the linkage of the same and the effectiveness of the work, as well as in relation to the users' families. The difficulty in enabling RAPS in the municipality was also a challenge pointed out by professionals. On the other hand, the data show the commitment of the participants in care actions focused on the premises of policies and the search for network articulation, especially with the Basic Health Care. The results of the interviews with the professionals of Basic Health Care Pointed out the challenges in the care and follow-up of the adolescent population in general, especially those who experience the psychological suffering that, according to the statements, hardly reach the service and, when they arrive, are referred to CAPSij. It was also observed that the activities carried out in adolescent ABS services are fundamentally curative, and health promotion and prevention actions are rare, as well as those of a network of care that, when they occur, are triggered by the CAPSij. Therefore, it was possible to verify with the present study that the psychosocial attention of adolescents in the investigated context is a field under construction and, currently, it occurs in CAPSij. It is hoped that the findings obtained may provide more subsidies for reflection and planning of policies and more effective interventions directed at the population of adolescents in psychological distress.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A pós-graduação no Brasil e na UFSCar : diagnósticos, desafios e propostas de ação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-12-19) Camargo, Daniele Marcelo; Carvalho, Joelson Gonçalves de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0141039743607067; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5608867204391867This study presents a rescue of the studies graduate institutionalization in Brazil, since its emergence, discussing its trajectory, as well the expansion of the Studies Graduate National System. The present research was developed through a dense bibliographical revision and an empirical investigation, that permitted to present the history of its implementation since 1930s, considering the appearance of the first universities in the Brazil. In front of this expansion, it was given a focus in the evolution in numbers of UFSCar's studies graduate programs, showing the growing and the challenges faced in the last decades. Being the Studies Graduate be a strategic factor for the development of a country, it is demonstrated through results of this study the necessity of propositions and adoptions of future actions in order that allow a quantitative and qualitative growth of the graduate studies in the UFSCar and at Brazil level.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Obtenção e caracterização estrutural, microestrutural e elétrica do condutor protônico BaCe1-xYxO3-δ com e sem aditivo de sinterização(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-12-19) Pires, Elcio Liberato; Souza, Dulcina Maria Pinatti Ferreira de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4100119317525940; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3551588323498549The study of solid electrolytes (SE) is important to the scientific and technological development of materials used in application related to clean energy generation, such as Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs). Yttrium-doped Barium Cerate is a SE with perovskite structure and great potential for this application because of its high values of protonic conductivity in temperatures between 350 and 600°C, which would allow the replacement of the currently used Zirconia based SE that operate above 800 °C, reducing the manufacturing cost of SOFCs. In the present work, eighteen compositions of BaCe1-xYxO3-δ system with x ranging from 0 to 0.2 were synthesized via modified citrate process and for half of the compositions an addition of 1 wt% ZnO as sintering aid was made. With the goal of establishing a correlation between structure, microstructure and electrical conductivity with the yttrium concentration and in the presence or absence of the sintering aid, all compositions were characterized with X-ray Powder Diffraction, Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) and Impedance Spectroscopy. Secondary phases were characterized using TEM, EDS and Electron Diffraction. All samples presented relative bulk density values above 95%. The bulk electrical conductivity is proportional to the yttrium concentration in the grain and, in general, the ZnO addition promoted grain growth, increasing its average size up to five times in some compositions. The ZnO acts mainly at the grain boundary region and it is effective as sintering aid only when the composition has some yttrium content. Among all synthesized compositions, BaCe0.8Y0.2O3-δ without ZnO addition showed the highest electrical conductivity value at 600°C (≈ 31.5 mS/cm). In the group of samples with ZnO, the highest values (close to 18.4 mS/cm), were obtained for compositions with Yttrium content above 14 at.%.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Política de bonificação salarial no estado de São Paulo : desdobramentos para o desenvolvimento profissional e o trabalho docente(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2016-12-19) Bergo, Luisa Foppa; Fernandes, Maria Cristina da Silveira Galan; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5786385589553214; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5097813390247365This research aims to study the relationship and unfolding of the wage subsidy policy for professional development and teaching work in the state of São Paulo. The initial proposal to subsidize teachers was implemented by the State Secretariat of Education of São Paulo, through Complementary Law No. 891 of 2000, which instituted the Merit Bonus, but the study was delimited in the proposal presented by Complementary Law No. 1,078 of 2008 that deals with the Bonification by Results (BR). These bonuses would be paid to the servants in office at the State Secretariat of Education of São Paulo who have met the established goals, which aim, according to the Law itself, to improve and improve the quality of public education in São Paulo. The research has a qualitative and dialectical character. The collection of official documents was used as data collection procedures on the website of the State Secretariat of Education of São Paulo; The bibliographic survey on websites of periodicals, universities and thesis and dissertation banks; As well as interviews with teachers of basic education in a municipality in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The results were triangulated, analyzed and interpreted through authors who are based on historical-dialectical materialism, seeking to broaden the understanding of the unfolding perceived by teachers in their work and professional development from the relationship between educational goals and salary bonuses. It was found that the bonus policies are linked to a worldwide movement, in which the USA and England stand out as precursors to the development of such wage subsidy policies. In the state of São Paulo, the specific goals for each school unit are proposed based on the São Paulo State Education Development Index (IDESP), which is composed of the São Paulo State School Income Assessment System (SARESP) and the Students in the initial and final years of Elementary and Middle School. The general results indicate the teachers' discontent regarding the way in which the bonus policy is developed, since it negatively impacts on the work of the teacher, devaluing it to the detriment of the achievement of the IDESP goals, with the devaluation of the other disciplines due to the focus Of the Portuguese Language and Mathematics, being configured, in this sense, the teaching for the test. It is also noticed in the teachers' interviews, the feeling of loss of the teaching identity due to the new roles assigned to the school, causing the teaching sometimes to be at the mercy of other demands that are not a function of the teacher, causing them The feeling of devaluation of the exercise of the profession itself and loss of autonomy in teaching due to the strong directives of the teaching board. Finally, professional development has also been negatively impacted, since the offer of continuing education courses has been limited to the courses offered by the SEE, which are directed to the implementation of the curriculum and that, in general, displease the teachers, causing these, only participate in them for salary progression. It should be stressed that continuing education alone does not guarantee the improvement of students' performance and that a better articulation between initial, continuing, career planning and public investment in material conditions is needed to improve education rates. Therefore, the negative impact that the bonus policy generates at school and, especially, on the work and professional development of teachers is revealed.
