Upon receiving the diagnosis of cancer, the individual may undergo changes in their habits and ways of living, which may compromise their health-related quality of life (HRQL) and their family members. The assessment of HRQoL and the resilience of oncology patients and their relatives can provide useful clinical information about the real impact on the sense of well-being and satisfaction with life and may favor the reduction of the impacts of clinical practice. The general objective was to evaluate the relationship between HRQoL and resilience and its association with self-esteem, hope, spirituality and anxious and depressive symptoms of cancer patients on chemotherapy and their relatives. This is a correlational cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach that was carried out at Instituto Amaral Carvalho. The sample consisted of 130 cancer patients on chemotherapy (QT) and 130 family members. In the individual interview, the following instruments were applied: Sociodemographic, Clinical and Health Characterization, EORTC-QLQ-C30 (this only in the (ERH), Herth Hope Scale (EEH), Pinto and Parent-Spirituality Scale (EEPPR), Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (EAR) and Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS) . The analysis was performed by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, mean and univariate and multivariate logistic regression. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of the Federal University of São Carlos (Opinion No. 1,680,639) and the Amaral Carvalho Hospital (Opinion No. 1,842,423). The results showed that patients presented a better perception of HRQoL in the "mental health" dimension of the SF-36 (70,98) and in the "social function" of EORTC-QLQ-C30. The worst perception of HRQOL was attributed to the "physical aspects" of the SF-36 (27,88) and the "fatigue" symptom of the EORTC-QLQ-C30 (29,15). Already the relatives indicated a better perception of HRQOL in "functional capacity" (86,69) and worse perception in "vitality" (66,04), both domains of the SF-36. A high level of resilience was observed between the patients (n = 63; 48.46%) and the relatives (n = 72; 55.38%). There was a relationship between HRQoL and the resilience of the interviewees, including patients and relatives with a high level of resilience presented better HRQoL. Patients and families with better HRQL and high level of resilience presented higher levels of spirituality, hope and self-esteem, and lower levels of anxious and depressive symptoms. Among the factors associated with the best HRQoL in patients with QT cancer, the lowest age, lower educational level, no use of medication, presence or absence of metastasis, no pain, high resilience, spirituality, hope and self-esteem, in addition to the low level of anxious and depressive symptoms. As for the relatives, the factors were male gender, not to help the family income, not to live with the patient, a high level of self-esteem and a low level of anxious and depressive symptoms. Among the factors associated with the high resilience of cancer patients in QT were the high level of hope and spirituality and the low level of depressive symptoms. For family members he found himself to be a practitioner of a religion and a high level of hope. It was concluded that there is a relationship between HRQoL and the resilience of cancer patients in QT and their relatives.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Resilience elements to combat counterfeit medicines in supply chain(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Lima, Flávia Renata Pinho de; Silva, Andrea Lago da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2380499339281186; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1532307028628294Supply chains are becoming more complex and vulnerable to specific disturbances scenarios, critical to business continuity. Counterfeiting is one of them, especially in markets where counterfeit products affect directly consumers’ health, such as food, beverage and medicines. However, few authors have investigated how to analyze this disturbance from a managerial perspective. This study claims that supply chain resilience is a dynamic solution applicable to combat a disturbance in constant growth and innovation: counterfeiting. To bridge this gap, namely the lack of understanding in how to increase resilience to counterfeits, the purpose of this study is to understand how resilience elements influence the combat of counterfeit medicines. To do so, we developed systematic literature review, using the QDA Miner software to support the content analysis. After a careful screening, we selected 84 articles between 2002 and Oct/2016. The systematic review reveals 13 resilience elements and 16 counterfeit anti- measures. Furthermore, reengineering, collaboration, visibility, innovation, SCR culture and trust appeared as six key-elements to combat counterfeit. After a literature review, we conducted an empirical research – case study, to pursue our exploratory purpose. The case study encompasses two medicines supply chains, with two pharmaceuticals (focal companies) and members downstream, and agencies and associations that work across the medicines supply chain to combat counterfeits. The empirical analysis enabled a deeper investigation of the resilience elements and counterfeit anti-measures applied. Our findings show that, in accordance with literature, collaboration, trust and visibility, are crucial elements to strengthen resilience against counterfeiters. Furthermore, different from literature review, information sharing and sensing appeared as elements highly associated in counterfeit combat, leveraged by the existence of a huge amount of data and the possibility of improving the decision-making process. Thus, this study contributes to the field by (i) proposing a framework for increasing resilience to counterfeit in medicines supply chain, which characterizes the dynamics among resilience elements and counterfeit anti-measures and discusses the role of collaboration and information sharing such as barriers to increase resilience. (ii) By suggesting new avenues of research, such as exploring tradeoffs between resilience and anti-counterfeit literature, investigating the effectiveness of implementing each resilience element in counterfeit combat, and analyzing different sectors highly targeted by counterfeiters, such as fashion and food.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Subsídios para uma estratégia de produção, seleção e disseminação de evidências em saúde(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Januário, Letícia Azevedo; Galvão, Maria Cristiane Barbosa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9163421021115381; Furnival, Ariadne Chloe Mary; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1291482506649810; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2712552693974233This study proposes potential input and guidelines for the design of public policies for the selection and dissemination of evidence in health aimed at the informational needs of health professionals (doctors and nurses). The research was divided into three stages. In the first stage, the National Policy on Health Information and Informatics was analyzed in its preliminary (2004) and definitive (2016) versions, alongside a technical note from 2013; the State Health Plan of the State of São Paulo for the years 2012 to 2015 and 2016 to 2019; the National Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation in Health (2008); the Information for Health (National Health Service); Health Online: the Health Information Action Plan for Australia and the Canada Health Infoway. In the second stage, the qualitative data from the Evid@SP research (Impact of the information made available on the Evidence Based Health portal on clinical practice of health professionals in the state of São Paulo) was analyzed, in which 342 health professionals working in the state of São Paulo participated, resulting in about 451 comments. From this data, the comments of medical doctors and nurses were selected for analysis in the present research in order to identify the main informational needs of these predominant health professionals in the health system in Brazil. In the third stage, a synthesis of the data collected in the first two stages plus the literature review was carried out in order to obtain potential input for the elaboration of a public policy of the selection and dissemination of evidence in health. In the results, we identified which of the analyzed policies do or do not mention evidence in health. Also, the informational needs identified in the physicians’ and nurses' comments were separated in four thematic categories, which are: application of the evidence in practice; barriers to the use of evidence; awareness of the need for updating their current state of knowledge; format, reliability and mode of evidence. After comparing the first two phases with the literature review, it was possible to identify issues that contemplate the agenda of a policy of selection and dissemination of evidence in health. The points presented as inputs to future strategies were related to the terminology of the policies and plans; incentive for the production of evidence, clinical protocols and national therapeutic guidelines and of the culture of practice based on evidence; dissemination of the Evidence-based Health Portal; training of human resources; guarantee of electronic resources for access to evidence. The conclusion reached is that the current policies and plans do not attend to the process of the production and dissemination of evidence in the national health system.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise da complexidade do torque extensor do joelho na síndrome da fragilidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Carnavale, Bianca Ferdin; Takahashi, Anielle Cristhine de Medeiros; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8336705133403404; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7944723750691031Frailty syndrome is associated with a decline in the complexity of biological signals. The interactions between neuromuscular system components result in complex structures of torque, which can be simplified in the presence of frailty syndrome, leading to decreases in functional capacity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the complexity of submaximal isometric knee extensor torque in frail, pre-frail, and non-frail older adults. A cross-sectional study was conducted. Forty-two older adults were divided into three groups: non-frail (n= 15), pre-frail (n= 15), and frail (n= 12). The data collected included: body composition, five times sit-to-stand test, walking speed, and isometric knee extensor torque at 15, 30, and 40% of maximal voluntary contraction (MVC). The knee extensor torque variability was evaluated from coefficient of variation, and the torque complexity was evaluated from the analysis of approximate entropy (ApEn) and sample entropy (SampEn). The ANOVA two-way analysis of variance with repeated measures and the Holm-Sidak post hoc were used to test differences between groups and force levels. The significance level was fixed at 5%. The frail group presented a reduction in body weight, lean mass in the dominant leg, peak torque value and worse physical performance (five times sit-to-stand test and walking speed). In addition, the frail older adults presented reduced torque complexity in relation to the non-frail group. Although all groups showed an increase in torque complexity with increased force levels. In conclusion, torque complexity is reduced in the presence of frailty syndrome.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Evolução cromossômica em Osteoglossiformes (Teleostei, Osteoglossomorpha) : uma abordagem intercontinental na família Notopteridae(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Barby, Felipe Faix; Artoni, Roberto Ferreira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8875928930712027; Cioffi, Marcelo de Bello; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0242034365085727; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5818046980566538The order Osteoglossiformes represent one of the most basal groups among the Teleosteos. These fishes live exclusively on freshwater environments and are characterized by the presence of a bonytongue. The group is a good model for evolutive studies due the presence of alive representatives in all continental lands localized on south hemisphere (except the Antarctic continent) even with a gondwanica origin (allowing to perform inferences about vicariant/dispersal events). The members of the Notopteridae family are distributed throughout the African and Asian (in tropical region) continents. In order to explain the distribution of the Asian biota that has close relations with the species present in Africa, the hypothesis "Out-of-India" was proposed. The idea in this hypothesis is that the lineages previously present in Gondwana reached Asia through the continental drift of the Indian subcontinent. This idea was considered the better explanation for the distribution of notopterids during a long time, but recent molecular data disclose disagreements between the geological times of tectonic drift and molecular divergence. In this context, we perform chromosomal and molecular approaches to infer about the group's diversity in relation to its biogeography. Chromosomal approaches involved classical banding techniques as well as FISH assays using repetitive DNA probes, chromosome painting and CGH; while the molecular approach was performed through the analysis of allelic sequences containing SNP polymorphisms obtained by the DArTseq genotyping technique, which involves next generation sequencing technology. The results of cytogenetic data pointed a diploid number variation in two of the seven species here studied, and also was verified variations for the distribution of the rDNA 18S and rDNA 5S markers for three species. This variation for the karyotype structure in the family was better evidenced by the CGH results, in which few chromosomal segments were shared between the intergeneric crossings assays. Indeed, these chromosomal variations was expected due the ancient divergent time in scale of tens of millions years ago between the lineages. The chromosome painting results showed a shared segment in all the seven species, pointing a possible linkage site that was also in the ancestor of the group. The PCA analysis of the polymorphisms obtained by DArTseq grouped the species according to their geographic distribution, result that was also verified by a Bayesian analysis when both chromosomal and molecular markers was combined. Thus, based on our data here obtained together with the molecular data obtained in the literature, we infer about the possibility of a gene flow occurring even after the separation of the African and Indian continental masses, discussing possibilities of the existence of temporary bridges linking Africa to the subcontinent Indian Ocean through the island of Madagascar and the Seychelles archipelago. Indeed, the existence of gene flow through temporary bridges in some moment linking the Africa to islands present in the sea localized on the African east coast is discussed in several groups of limited dispersion, which gave rise to an alternative hypothesis to "Out-of-India", called "Lemurian-step-stones". This approach from the point of view of "Lemurian-step-stones" is the first one carried out on freshwater fish.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise cinemática em indivíduos com e sem dor no pescoço: relação entre cabeça e mandíbula e influência do sexo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Rosa, Lianna Ramalho de Sena; Padovez, Roberta de Fátima Carreira Moreira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8540935203896510; Oliveira, Ana Beatriz de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1049547759186556; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0123203561232716Cervical dysfunction is associate with musculoskeletal and structural changes, with neck pain being the most common symptom. Kinematic analysis of the neck has been performed focusing the assessment of range of motion. However, the association between head/neck and jaw movements was not investigated in subjects with neck pain, despite the recognition of the close (neuroanatomical and biomechanical) relationship between these segments. Therefore, there is a relevance in clarifying this relationship during both dynamic tasks and isolated movements. Another relevant aspect in this context is the difference between sexes, since the prevalence of neck pain is higher in females, and the recent literature has pointed out a difference in motor behavior between sexes. Two studies were developed and compose this doctoral thesis. In study I we investigated the correlation between head/neck and jaw movements in both females with neck pain and asymptomatic, as well as differences in the range of motion of these segments, and differences in head oscillation during dynamic tasks. In study II we investigated sex differences in the range of head/neck and jaw movements in healthy male and female during isolated movements and dynamic tasks. The correlation between head/neck and jaw movements in the sagittal plane was also investigated, as well as the muscular endurance of deep cervical flexors and joint position sense of the head. The results of studies I and II allowed us to affirm that there is a strong correlation between head/neck extension and jaw depression during maximum mouth opening in females with neck pain and asymptomatic, and also in males; females with neck pain have higher range of motion and greater variability of head/neck movements in specific tasks when compared to asymptomatic females; males have greater magnitude and variability of errors in the joint position sense of the head than females. Both studies are consistent in showing the strong correlation between head/neck extension and jaw depression during maximum mouth opening. Future studies should investigate the correlation between movements of these segments in different populations, and using tasks requiring greater biomechanical demand than the ones we used. Pain seems do not avoid females with neck pain to perform functional tasks. However, clinicians should be aware about the greater range of motion and variability observed in head movements of females with pain compared to asymptomatic ones. In the long term, there might have tissue overload. In addition, differences between sexes should be considered in the assessment and treatment of head/neck and temporomandibular joint disorders.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Perfil e atuação dos profissionais de apoio à inclusão escolar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Lopes, Mariana Moraes; Mendes, Enicéia Gonçalves; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3897627554738983; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4772800166360585School Inclusion has grown every year, and with the increased enrolment of students with disabilities in regular schools, the demand for stronger support networks and differential care has grown. In this scenario a new character has gained prominence, and although they have received many different denominations, such as "attendant", "caregiver", "trainee", "auxiliary", "escort" etc.; here they will be called School Inclusion Support Professional (SISP). Still lacking in function and well-defined assignments, with no specific professional profile and unknown working conditions, the figure of these SISP, although relatively recent in schooling policies, has become increasingly frequent and conflicting in school contexts. Considering that this character can be an important support to allow the process of school inclusion of students that require this type of support, but that can also be used as a mechanism of cheapening and simplification of the support system, the present study aimed to describe and analyse the profile and performance of SISP in different municipal contexts. This descriptive study carried out in five municipalities, three in the state of Bahia and two in the state of São Paulo, involved procedures based on individual interviews and focus groups. In total, 35 support professionals participated, ranging from five to seven per city, in addition to five representatives from the Education Department, one from each city. The design of the study involved three stages, namely: I) Elaboration of instruments in the form of interview scripts for focus groups; II) Execution of focal group I - with support professionals of each city; III) Semi-structured interview with a Special Education representative of the municipalities. Data analysis involved the transcription of the interviews and data processing through Atlas-Ti®. The results evidenced the importance of SISP in the school context, but at the same time a precarious and worrisome scenario of how this type of support has been used by school inclusion policies. Hopefully, the present study has contributed to the academic area to reflect on school inclusion support policies, considering the novelty of the theme and the still scarce scientific evidence, as well as the educational system, by pointing out the need to define guidelines that regulate the variety of profiles, attributions, working conditions and courses of action found in the different realities of SISPlistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliação fotodinâmica em células tumorais do câncer de mama e fibroblasto utilizando o fotossensibilizador bacterioclorina – trisma(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Lopes, Nahryda Samara dos Santos; Machado, Marciana Uliana Pereira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5189593236727694; Souza, Clovis Wesley Oliveira de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0781683628437007; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2254832789329156Breast cancer is one of the main health problems among women. It is the first cancer in incidence and the second in the number of deaths. This type of tumor presents a high degree of recurrence due to failures in the treatment and the occurrence of metastasis which t is the leading cause of death. Photodynamic therapy appears as a promising therapeutic alternative, which can be used to treat various types of tumors. This technique uses light, which stimulates the photosensitizer and provides the formation of reactive oxygen species, causing irreversible damage to cells and cell death. The goal of this work was to evaluate in vitro the efficacy of a new photosensitizer (FS) of bacteriochlorin class, bacteriochlorin - trism, using photodynamic therapy in tumor cells. To perform the photodynamic therapy were used seven different doses of the photosensitizer: 0.01 μM, 0.1μM, 0.5 μM, 1.0μM, 2.5μM, 5.0μM, and 10μM, and three different light doses 2, 7, and 15 J.cm-2. Cell viability tests, flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy were performed to evaluate cell death and cytotoxic activity of bacteriochlorin - trism in cells. Concentrations from 0.5 μM showed 80% cell death independent of the light doses used. In the colocalization study, the highest similarity with lysosome was found, and in cytometry, it was shown that the type of cell death was by apoptosis. The best parameters for photodynamic therapy were observed against breast cancer cells (MCF-7 strain). The photosensitizer bacteriochlorin - trism demonstrated good results enabling future efficient protocols of photodynamic therapy against MCF - 7 type tumoral lineage.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Possibilidades formativas da colaboração entre professores do ensino comum e especial em um município paraense(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Silva, Rossicleide Santos da; Vilaronga, Carla Ariela Rios; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6536774151778096; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3364442834848957Differential forms of support that favor the schooling and school inclusion of the Target Audience of Special Education or PAEE (in Portuguese - Público Alvo da Educação Especial) are needed in the educational space. The Collaborative Teaching, or Co-Teaching, is an assistance model that is able to strength the conjunction work between teachers of special education and common class, so they can act in a collaborative way in the classroom, joining knowledge and strategies for the PAEE students and consequently helping the class as a whole. Thus, this dissertation has as a guiding problem to inquire: how do special education teachers face the possibility of working collaboratively with the common classroom teacher? The present study has as main objective to analyze a formative experience of fomenting the collaboration between professors of special education and the common class, towards the model of collaborative teaching, to promote the school inclusion of the students PAEE. Specifically, this study proposed to: (a) describe the performance of special education teachers and common class, with a focus on collaboration, of a municipality in Pará, a Brazilian state; and (b) reflect with teachers of special education the results of a formative experience on collaborative teaching. The inquire was carried out in a Pará county, with 25 teachers of special education, based on a qualitative, collaborative research, whose purpose is to bring scholars and object of investigation together in order to promote the exchange of information between them. Thus, there were moments of formative intervention aimed at special education teachers and advisors in schools that accepted to implement the pilot project on co-teaching, requiring the participation of common class teachers. It was noticed that the cooperation between the educators was built through the small relations such as: coffee break moment, interactivity in the teachers/ resources / common rooms and in the planning of day to day activities, especially when they began to appropriate specific data (information) on assistance models, including collaborative learning, as they felt motivated to promote the exchange of knowledge with the common classroom teachers and to think about how they could put this strategy into practice. It was found that partnerships between special education teachers and those of the common class existed, but they needed to be strengthened, either by the daily interaction, or by the perception of the requirement for both to unite forces to help the disabled students, and as an outcome the whole class. Ergo, the results were observed after the reflection on the formative experience and the advisory in the schools, the beginning of a collaborative practice between a few special education teachers and the common class, as a means to make possible actions in the line of collaboration in the county, consistent with pedagogical management and coordination. It is expected that the study may favor the emergence of research on the importance of collaboration in school spaces between special education teachers and the common room, providing the schooling of students with disabilities building a more equitable society.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O conhecimento matemático para o ensino e os "por quês" dos alunos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Serra, Rodrigo Donizete; Lorenzato, Sergio Apparecido; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0433106167291528; Nakayama, Bárbara Cristina Moreira Sicardi; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9746628149674449; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4602798250955378The present paper refers to a research developed at the Master’s in Education Program from São Carlos Federal University (UFSCar) – Campus Sorocaba-SP, Brazil, and it is linked to the Observatory of Education Program (OBEDUC) in the field of mathematics education. The objectives of the research are to understand which knowledge is mobilized for mathematics teaching from the reflection on the students’ ‘whys’, elucidate what composes the knowledge for mathematics teaching, and reveal, based on students’ ‘whys’, the formative potentialities for mathematics teachers. The methodological procedure was conducted in two stages. During the first stage 105 ‘Whys’ were produced together with high school students, in the city of Campinas- SP, in three different schools. These data were categorized in the field of classic mathematics and on a second stage they were taken to teachers from elementary education on two focal groups, in two groups of studies and researches: GEPRAEM from UFSCAR - Campus Sorocaba and GEPEMAI from UNICAMP - in the city of Campinas-SP. They were based on articles about this theme written by Lorenzato (1993), Barbosa (2011), and Moriel and Wielewski (2013) and on the conception of Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching (MKT), developed by Ball, Thames, Phelps, (2008). It is possible to understand through the accounts of Focal Groups (FG) members the importance of these ‘Whys’ as elements that awake investigation and reflection about the practice, potentializing continuing education, and possibly collaborating to expand the MKT of mathematics teachers and resizing their conceptions about the knowledge of contents and didactic knowledge of contents.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Pesquisas acadêmicas brasileiras sobre a formação continuada do professor de Matemática: um enfoque nas práticas formativas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Lima, Hilda Ciriaco; Gama, Renata Prenstteter; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4153572041829838; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0802163927308625This research has as main objective to describe and analyze formative practices highlighted in research on continuing education of teachers of mathematics, to support each other both on the issue "guideline what the research on continuing education of math teacher show about training practices "? To this end we present relevant aspects initially on the training of these professionals, obtained from the mapping of the brazilian academic research on continuing education of teachers who teach mathematics in the period 2001-2016, which provides an overview of the productions. This was done from the search in two banks, a constant in the e-book mapping the brazilian academic research about the teacher who teaches math and another on Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, by combining two keywords "training continued " and " teachers who teach mathematics ". Later still, we present an overview on the Brazilian academic research on continuing education of specialist teacher in mathematics, that is, the teacher who teaches math in the final years of primary school and high school, which allowed us to analyze educational practices from the training contexts and its features, promoting a larger view of the information identified in such research. Qualitative in nature and state of the art, this survey has its bases in the Field of Teacher Education and Teacher Professional Development, (GARCIA, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2009); (IMBERNÓN, 2010); (NÓVOA, 2009); (COCHRAN-SMITH and LYTLE, 1999), including the Mathematics Education, (FIORENTINI, 2002, 2005, 2013, 2016); (MISKULIN, 2005); (PASSOS, 2005, 2016); (NACARATO, 2005, 2006, 2016); (PONTE, 2005), which also underlie our analyses. The main results show growth of thematic studies during the analysis period and indicate the contribution of all regions, however, are still concentrating on the Southeast. In mapping have a significant number of research on elementary school, 91 out of a total of 119 research mapped and there is demand for investigations into the teacher who teaches mathematics in Early Childhood Education, Adult and Youth Education and high school. The panorama of the 58 research on continuing education of specialist teacher, indicates that the thematic foci of higher analysis are training practices (76%), the data collection instruments used are questionnaires, interviews and observations, the nature of the 95% of the total research is qualitative and the most obvious types are action research, case study and exploratory. In relation to training practices, the review reveals partnerships between university and school or university and secretariats of education as a promising element of training and the university as a place formative actions prevalent. While we can observe the roles assumed by the participants are mostly well demarcated, in the preparation and development of the proposal and training activities attributable exclusively to the trainer, revealing a design close to the knowledge-to-the-practice. However, it is possible to envision some innovations concerning the planning set on the diagnosis of training needs and analysis and reflection on practice supported by a collaborative work.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Indicadores de gênero no periódico Scientometrics (1981-2017)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Godoi, Fábio dos Santos; Hayashi, Maria Cristina Piumbato Innocentini; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7263318849588556; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2249228493676552Introduction – The scientific evaluation by indicators demands a reflection in addition to the quantitative data. Gender in science plays complex roles, gender indicators should include in their analysis the context of social, economic, and political interests that are intrinsic to the science structure. An analysis that shows a more comprehensive scenario should use references that relate the genders within its social structure. Therefore, the research question about this project asks how are the bibliometric and scientometric indicators of gender characterized in the journal Scientometrics? The aim was to conceptualize and describe the bibliometric and scientometric indicators that can express the gender issue in science articles published in the journal Scientometrics. Methodology – Scientific research has been shaped by descriptive bibliometrics, which comprises statistical techniques for extracting and indicators counting. The data source used was the academic journal Scientometrics. The search carried out through the subjects (keywords) without temporal delimitation. Thus, the corpus was composed of 177 articles covering the period from 1981 through the early part of 2017. The indicators used were the quantity and gender of the authors, the amount of references used, as well as the title, country, area, type of study, and keyword. Results – The data analysis was initially evaluated in three time-frames periods such as 1981–2000 (n=15), 2001–2008 (n=23) and 2009–2017 (n =139). The males amounted to 260 authors, on the other hand, the females added up to a total of 113 authors. The type of authorship was mostly co-authorship with 142 articles out of 177 totals. There were only 35 articles characterized as individual authorship. Regarding the cited references, about 22% (n=1712) contained reference related to gender and 78% (n=5992) contained references without gender issue. The countries with more applied research were the United States and Germany. The most frequent field of studies found was Mathematical sciences and Humanities. The majority of data were empirical research and the data sources most used by the articles were the multidisciplinary databases. Web of Science and Scopus stood out from all the rest. Conclusion – Even observing the first decades (1980, 1990 and 2000), coauthors were superior to individual articles. In addition, more than 90% of female authorships were in collaboration. The gender researches were more active in this current century, whereas they were the main issues to be searched. A good part of the main research on gender was due to the participation in women. The clear majority of men who dedicated to the study of gender had this variable incorporated into their research, but it was not the focus on the study.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Nanocompósitos de poliuretano comercial e nanopartículas híbridas de núcleo Fe3O4 funcionalizado com capa orgânica de Poli(1,4-Butanodiol)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Pessan, Cibele Carneiro; Lima, Bruno Henrique Ramos de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5096229531831897; Leite, Edson Roberto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1025598529469393; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3926293902735747The use of inorganic nanoparticles in polymer nanocomposites allows gain in mechanical resistance and new properties. However, the incorporation of organic layer functionalized nanoparticles alters the material’s properties in a not fully understood manner. This work has the objective of analyzing the nature of interaction between the organic layer functionalized nanoparticles and the commercial polyurethane adhesive matrix (Adcote 555) and the consequences over physical-chemical properties in relation to the mass percentage of nanoparticles added. The nanoparticles were synthesized with a magnetite core and a poly(1,4-butanediol) organic shell. The mixtures were divided in two groups: low nanoparticles concentration, from 0,05%wt to 5,0%wt, and highly concentrated, up to 90%wt. Tensile and DSC tests allowed the nanocomposites mechanical and thermal properties analysis, respectively. MET imaging and SAXS analysis allowed to determine inorganic core and organic shell sizes, respectively. The nanocomposites’ mechanical behavior wasn’t the expected for conventional nanocomposites. On the contrary, the organic shell seems to have a camouflage effect over the inorganic core and the mechanical and thermal behavior seem the be guided more strongly by the volumetric fraction of the nanoparticles organic shell than their inorganic cores. Thus, it was concluded that the nanocomposites’ properties are ruled by the interphase between matrix and organic shell. The magnetite core’s contribution was to attribute magnetic properties to the highly concentrated nanocomposites.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Expressão nominal massiva e contável em português brasileiro(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Bergantin, Lucas Bueno; Conde, Dirceu Cleber; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2630773088169073; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8356468870240094The objective of this research is to analyse and describe the behavior of nominal expressions in Brazilian Portuguese (BrP) concerning the mass—count distinction. Based on a selection in the literature of psycholinguistic experiment with children and adults, I elaborate a hypothesis to interpret the grammatical categories of bare singular and bare plural in relation with the mass—count distinction. The analysis is delimited to nouns in object position that have both a count and mass interpretations without semantic coercion. According to selected data, the bare singular does not determine the selection of a mass or count interpretation in BrP, receiving an evaluation in both cardinal and non-cardinal scales; on the contrary, the bare plural determines the selection of a count interpretation, receiving an evaluation in cardinal scale. In this sense, within the scope of this research, I propose the treatment of bare singulars and bare plurals based on a lexical underspecification approach, in which the lexical items are not predetermined to be count or mass, but the grammatical processing is responsible to attribute the categories that allows either interpretations. To formalize the phenomenon, I use formal semantics’ theories and principles, whose tools is presented in an objective way, seeking reasons for the functioning of the grammatical and lexical mechanisms that provoke both mass and count interpretations.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Aproveitamento de resíduos agroindustriais: caracterização físico–química e produção de carvão para energia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Padilla, Elias Ricardo Durango; Waldman, Walter Ruggeri; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0616238673458322; Yamaji, Fábio Minoru; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4787449634914831; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9153929373407824El carbón vegetal tiene gran participación en el mercado brasileño y es consumido actualmente en su mayoría por la industria de hierro fundido. Las curvas de DTG y FTIR permitieron comprobar la degradación de la hemicelulosa y la celulosa en los carbones producidos.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Incorporação de resíduo agroindustrial em matrizes cimentícias(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Moretti, Juliana Petermann; Quarcioni, Valdecir Angelo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9443243894564249; Sales, Almir; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7377787166073311; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5448335901111649The proposal of this research covers two important subjects: the application of a waste generated in large scale in Brazil and the study of properties related to the durability of cement matrices. Brazil leads the world's sugarcane production. Among the wastes generated in sugarcane processing, bagasse stands out due the utilization as biomass to generate energy. After the burning of bagasse, the sugarcane bagasse ash sand (SBAS) remains at the bottom of the boilers. The final disposition of this material is a problem faced by the managers of the sugar and alcohol plants. In this context, the main objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the SBAS incorporation on the porosity of the cementitious matrices, susceptibility to the aggressive agents ingress, and on the passivation of the steel. Therefore, the study was carried out in three phases. In the first stage a process of beneficiation, characterization, and verification of the pozzolanic activity of SBAS samples with different particle size distributions was performed. In the second phase, a study in the mortar phase applying the SBAS in partial replacement of the natural sand in the contents of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% (by volume) was carried out. Several tests were carried out to verify the influence of SBAS application on mortars, such as: compressive strength, water absorption by immersion and capillarity, mercury intrusion porosimetry, tomography, electrical resistivity, chloride penetrability, scanning electron microscopy, hydrogenation potential, electrical conductivity, among others. In the third stage, the steel passivation process was verified when exposed to the pore water solution with and without SBAS by monitoring the open circuit potential. Subsequently, the passivating films were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy technique. Through of the obtained results it can be verified that the ashes analyzed showed low pozzolanic reactivity. The SBAS incorporation contributed to the reduction of macropores, increased the electrical resistivity, and reduction of the chloride penetrability, for the mortars with advanced ages (after 91 days), compared to the reference mortar (0% SBAS). The passivating film formed by the pore water solution with SBAS stabilized at a more positive potential than the reference. In addition, it was possible to identify higher amounts of calcium oxides on the surface of the steel exposed to the SBAS solution when compared to the reference. These results indicate a possible improvement in the quality of the passivating film formed in solution containing SBAS. Finally, it can be concluded that the incorporation of SBAS improved properties related to the durability of the matrices studied.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Captura de CO2 de gases de combustão utilizando óxido de cálcio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Silva, Juliana Alves da; Santos, João Batista Oliveira dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0285313473901330; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9611188168972544Calcium oxide (CaO) based materials were prepared, characterized and subjected to cyclic carbonation and decomposition reactions in order to evaluate the carbon dioxide capture capacity (CO2) and the stability of the material. The sol-gel method was used for the synthesis of pure CaO and wet mixing and impregnation methods for incorporating CaO into an additive Al2O3, ZrO2, and La2O3. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction, temperature programmed desorption, thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy and adsorption of N2. The CO2 capture was performed in a looping reaction using thermobalance and fixed bed reactor, with carbonation at 700 °C in CO2 flow and decomposition of calcium carbonate at 800 °C in pure N2 flow. The results showed that pure CaO has decreased the CO2 capture capacity after the first reaction cycle. The materials synthesized by wet mixing showed higher CO2 capture efficiency and stability than the materials prepared by impregnation. Among the materials synthesized by wet mixing, 90CaO10Al2O3, 50CaO50Al2O3 and 50CaO50(Al2O3+La2O3) are the most stable reactivity and highest CO2 capture capacity. The 90CaO10Al2O3 had a CO2 capture capacity of 0.71 g-CO2/g-material up to six cycles, meanwhile, 50CaO50Al2O3 and 50CaO50(Al2O3+La2O3) showed CO2 capture capacity up to six cycles of 0.37 and 0.32 g-CO2/g-material, respectively. However, the materials with the highest amount of additive, 50CaO50Al2O3 and 50CaO50(Al2O3+La2O3), were still the most stable. For the materials prepared by wet mixing, the results of the characterizations suggest that the addiction of additives decreased significantly the amount of unreacted CaO and allowed the accessibility of the CO2 to CaO.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O espaço social dos “Negócios de Impacto” no Brasil: o caso Artemisia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Lourenço, Bruna Scanavachi; Donadone, Julio Cesar; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7643906508178259; Paulillo, Luiz Fernando de Oriani e; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9919942357089937; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3878568061295550The aim of this work was to understand what is Social Business from the organization Artemisia and for this the organization specialized in impact businesses and the agents around it was the object of the paper. The new business model that permeates the spheres of the social world and the traditional business world in search of solutions to societal problems, the so-called Social Business or Impact Business, is a new type of organization that does not fit into the category of organizations which are solely and exclusively aimed at maximizing profits, just as it is not a non-profit organization. This work seeks to contribute to the understanding of what is a Social Business from a sociological perspective, starting from the premise that this new organizational model starts from the interaction of agents coming from diverse spaces, that influence and were influenced by the social structures of space in that emerged. Based on the idea that the social universes are constructed by deeper structures, often invisible at first sight, Bourdieu's notion of social space (1996) was the basis for the understanding that in transforming the business model, the proposal of the Social Business also alters, at least in theory, the market logic of the economic world where it is inserted. Understanding how the social space is formed, who are and how the agents are positioned in relation to the economic system is the starting point of the effort to understand the new organizational model. In addition to understanding the functioning of the Artemisia organization, an outline of the social space formed around it was made. Assuming that the social structure creates spaces of power and that the position of the agents in this structure is directly related to the distribution of the different types of capital (BOURDIEU, 1996), the agents of the space considered were identified and their economic and cultural capitals were analyzed. The constitution of the social space about Artemisia revealed that although the new organizational model integrates logics of distinct spaces, few agents from spaces with a predominance of social impact logic were found, besides the presence of heirs and other agents with capital acquired in the space of traditional businesses. The analysis of organizations that act as intermediaries in space revealed that they do not compete with each other, because although they could intuitively be considered as competitors since they present similar proposals and services to the same target public, they act as partners and have several agents in common in its structure. The analysis of the organizations that have connections with Artemisia also revealed that although not yet consolidated, it is possible to observe a strategy of articulation of investments of the public sector in progress.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Comunicação política e(m) imagens de si: percursos a caminho do ethos semiotizado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Carreon, Renata de Oliveira; Baronas, Roberto Leiser; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4613001301744682; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3874251351469772The changes in social and discursive practices engendered in the last centuries, especially with the advent and popularization of the Internet, have resignified the subject's gaze towards interactivity and connectivity, impelling television to metaphorical perishing and inciting the emergence of social networks. With this change of look, new ways of doing politics emerge, especially if you campaign. Political discourse, now in the face of its mutations, inherently multimodal, gains body, voice and color in videos and photographs and circulates - or to be shared - in an exceptionally bulky way. Mobilizing social networks implies searching for the sale of the candidate in the campaign to construct the images of themselves - ethos. The postings must, in a single step, produce meaning and invite the user to adhere to that discourse, seeking in that user / voter / interlocutor the validation of an ethical world, through credibility or a power to legitimize the discourse: the interlocutor adheres to what is part of his imaginary, to what is established as the good, the right or the honest. Considering, therefore, ethos as a category intrinsically tied to political discourse, we aim to alter the traditional scheme of ethos delineated by Maingueneau, proposing the notion of semiotized ethos, a necessary branching to think the question of verbal and nonverbal, in order to amplify the to look at multimodality discursive and presenting its own methodology for the analysis of diverse materials. It is therefore necessary to undertake a study that understands the visual in the same way that the linguistic is understood, after all, the object must always be the discursive one, without, for this, breaking with the premises that underpin the framework of the discursive studies to which this work becomes affiliated. In order to give substance to such a theoretical undertaking, our material is composed of the campaign of the second round of the presidential elections of 2014, of Dilma Rousseff and Aécio Neves, in the posts in its official profiles of Facebook and in the campaign in the television in the HGPE. The theoretical and methodological bases of the work are anchored in the Discourse Analysis of French orientation, mainly in the writings and rewritten of Dominique Maingueneaulistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Gestão do conhecimento: um modelo para unidades de pesquisa do Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovações e Comunicações(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2018-02-23) Rocha, Micherlangela Barroso; Hoffmann, Wanda Aparecida Machado; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7609135667093837; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1525524046737221In the context of Public Administration (PA), Knowledge Management (KM) acquires its own concept and characteristics due to its specificities, such that the GC seeks to help these organizations face new challenges, implement innovative management practices and improve the quality of processes, products and public services for the benefit of the citizen-user and society in general. GC in organizations is implemented and evaluated through processes described in GC Models that allow a deeper understanding of the reality of GC within organizations. From a review of the literature, it is identified that studies containing specific GC models for PA are very limited. Thus, the general objective of this research is to propose a GC model adequate to the Research Units (UP) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC) and its specific objectives include studying the GC models in the literature and those that apply to Public Administration (PA) bodies; to relate general components that should be considered in the elaboration of a KM model for PA; describe characteristics peculiar to UP of the MCTIC; to identify the specific components for a GC model for UP of the MCTIC; propose a GC Model for UP of the MCTIC and; to identify possible barriers and facilitating elements for the implementation of the proposed model. In the research are presented several GC Models in order to verify their relevance and applicability to the reality of public organizations. For a better understanding, this research is structured in sections that are linked in an increasing degree of specificity, in which the concepts and foundations of the GC are presented, followed by the insertion of the thematic in the context of the Public Administration. Specifically, this research addresses the MCTIC Research Units, so it is necessary to explain the Ministry and the characterization of its Research Units. The methodology adopted was of the qualitative and descriptive type in which the Content Analysis method was adopted and contemplated a questioning about the GC in a Research Unit of MCTIC, aiming to provide better inputs for the elaboration of the GC Model for Units of MCTIC. The GC Model proposed for UP of the MCTIC included General and Specific Strategic Drivers, GC Enablers, GC Processes executed through the KDSA Cycle, involving the Stakeholders of the Organization, so all these components were inserted in the environment of the UP of the MCTIC.
