The results of the analyses point to a training that allows the use of ICDT troughout the under graduate course, reiforcing the importance of using there tools for the teaching and learning process. They also reveal that the students in the distance education course are mostly professional who had already mastered the ICDT before entering the courses, so they understood the meaning and importance of the ICDT for training and professional performace, they value the contributions of the distance education course in the mobilization these tools and point out the resistance of peers to use them due to the lack of training and mastery in the area.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Integração ao mercado, autoconsumo e segurança alimentar: uma análise dos agricultores familiares no município de Campina do Monte Alegre – SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Vitória, Coelho de Medeiros; Iuri, Emmanuel de Paula Ferreira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5965827433093415; Leandro, de Lima Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2750978055015275; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8034063144646247Food insecurity has been an alarming issue for many years, being the focus of several studies in different countries. As a way of contributing to this theme, this work started from the hypothesis that integration to markets and a higher level of self-consumption are associated with food security for family farmers, with the municipality of Campina do Monte Alegre, in the State of São Paulo as an empirical universe. Paulo. The Market Integration Index - IIM was used as a methodological tool, whose purpose is to estimate the fractions of production destined for self-consumption or delivered to a market by the farmer. The IIM was contrasted with the Brazilian Food Insecurity Scale - EBIA, by rural household, and in an accessory way related to other socioeconomic variables that potentially influence the level of food security. Evidence was found that integration into markets provides less probability of food insecurity for farmers in the surveyed region.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, As asas da ciência: uma reflexão sobre as oportunidades proporcionadas pela ciência, pesquisa e inovação, além dos limites da universidade(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Apis, Aline; Martins, Joyce do Rosario; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3476750240513111; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0622124533211576The reflection on the presence of science inside and outside the university in the view of a medical student at the Federal University of São Carlos who, through research, acquired a wide professional background and expanded her academic training through new cultures, languages and social skills. Although current results show promise, there are still areas in which the body of knowledge is lacking and there are challenges for further investigation. This work tackled some of those challenges by investigating and optimizing the refill FSSW process for 2A12 (AA2024) aluminum alloy using a tool with reduced dimensions to weld an unconventional sheet configuration (0.8mm to 3mm in thickness). This was achieved using Design of Experiments coupled with Analysis of Variance. In addition, the influence of process parameters on microstructural geometrical features and in weld performance was studied, and Plunge Depth was found to be the most significant process variable when it comes to weld strength. Crack was shown to start around the hook region and propagate through two possible paths, the SZ/TMAZ interface or the aluminum rich layer in the stir zone. These two paths generated two main fracture modes, and the pullout mode was associated with the optimal condition. Given that a 2xxx series aluminum alloy was used, natural aging was investigated, and found to be influential in local mechanical properties through hardness tests. This influence, however, did not translate to Lap Shear Strength, as samples with different aging levels presented similar properties. Finally, the wear behavior of the tool was studied with increasing welding cycles. Tool geometry was significantly affected by wear, and this impacted weld surface with time, generating increasing notches on the edge of the stir zone. Those notches reduced the effective thickness of the top sheet, and consequently contributed to premature failure at inferior loads.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Portfolio reflexivo de fim de curso(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Gomes, Jade Daniela; Estevão, Isabeth da Fonseca; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2932607007844855; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7125256245077261Within the context of the active methodology, the reflective portfolio is widely used as an educational tool. The Course Completion Work, as described in the Pedagogical Project, is a space for the student's trajectory. Therefore, the student's subjective experience during training in a medical course with active methodology is approached, as well as his life history, reasons that led him to choose the course and the difficulties and facilities encountered during the process of becoming a doctor. Thus, the objectives of this work were: to write a memorial about my passage through educational cycles (Integrality of Care I, II and III), the concepts learned about health and care; expectations regarding training and professional life at the end of the course; and also the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic on the degree. Indeed, the conclusion that the active methodology has more advantages than disadvantages, such as the ability to search for information actively, greater critical thinking in the analysis of these and the insertion of a view of the health-disease process based on the person-centered method.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Relato da experiência de um aluno do Curso de Medicina da Universidade Federal de São Carlos, no período de 2015 a 2020(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Wende, Klaus Werner; Del Ciampo, Ieda Regina Lopes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6099153790836529; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4779347380623032The following narrative tells my path as a medical student between 2015 and 2020. I approach my personal experience during six years of college and analyze them critically in search of teachings that it brought me. It was written as a finishing paper for my graduation and was based on 3 cycles through which we pass during these six years, as instructed in the course’s political pedagogical project. About the first cycle I illustrate how our active learning methodology impacted my education. On the second cycle I describe how we initiated more supervised contact with patients and how important it is was for our medical formation. At last, on the third cycle I analyze our increasing responsibility inside medical care.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Medicina/UFSCar: relato da minha vivência no curso(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Silva, Luciana França da; Kishi, Renata Giannecchini Bongiovanni; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7651034212763580; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5116223800660112The Medical Course at the Federal University of São Carlos aims at general, humanistic, ethical, critical and reflexive medical training, using real or simulated situations for teaching, which stimulate the development of critical-reflexive skills, in a constructivist spiral. It is organized according to longitudinal and complementary educational units, structured based on the performance expected for students. The Course Conclusion Work (TCC) is an assessment tool and consists of a critical- reflective narrative about the student's experience with the learning process, with caring for people and with working in the health system. By the end of the course, as a student, I can see that there has been a great personal and professional growth. Each stage of this journey was extremely important for the construction of the doctor I will become. The reflection that remains is that I feel privileged and blessed by the opportunity to experience the experience of becoming a doctor at a public university, with its flaws and virtues. Here I learned much more than medicine and I was sure that knowledge is infinite, does not take up space and it is always time to seek it out.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Narrativa crítico-reflexiva: impressões individuais sobre a trajetória de aprendizagem durante o curso de Medicina da Universidade Federal de São Carlos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Delgado, Fernanda Negrini; Kishi, Renata Giannecchini Bongiovanni; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7651034212763580; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2826134118720063This work is a critical-reflexive autobiographical narrative about the experience lived during the undergraduate course in medicine at the Federal University of São Carlos, presenting the personal opinion of its author, built along this trajectory. This study, therefore, aims to share an experience and contribute to reflective assimilation of this process.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Abordagem da determinação social do processo saúde-doença no curso de medicina: narrativas e reflexões sobre minha trajetória na Universidade Federal De São Carlos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Lima, Giovana Kharfan de; Luna, Willian Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1860768963636452; Martins, Joyce do Rosario; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3476750240513111; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7704376036805741The doing method in health field is achieved through the acquisition of concepts, ideas, values and conduct of Professional sandusers of the services. It is tied to some specific historical, social, cultural, political and technological moment and reflects the formation of the medical professional. As time goes by, there have been several established paradigms which were incorporated to the medical course curriculum, about the health-illness care process. Amid all of them, the biopsychosocial is the one adopted at medical course curriculum at Federal University of São Carlos. Nevertheless, would that pattern be as critical-reflexive as the demands in medical care system experienced by the students in that course? In order to think about such a question, some narratives experienced by the author during her graduation time were highlighted, prompting some review over the social determination of health-illness care process.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Em construção: um memorial crítico-reflexivo de uma formanda sobre o curso de Medicina UFSCar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Gusmão, Andréia Agraso; Martins, Joyce do Rosario; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3476750240513111; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6977143780217123The following work describes the trajectory and experiences of a medical student at the Federal University of São Carlos in the period from 2015 to 2020, through a critical-reflexive analysis. It aims to transmit the personal and academic experience over the six years of the course, as well as their experiences and frustrations in the face of interpersonal learning and involvement. The narrative represents the Course Completion Work, as provided for in the Political Pedagogical Project, in a critical-reflective memorial report format. It is divided into cycles, starting with a review of the years leading up to university, going on to the basic cycle, the beginning of contact with higher education, difficulties and maturity regarding the course. It follows the clinical cycle with reflections on the introduction into medical practice and theoretical deepening. It ends at the medical internship, with considerations about each stage and personal and professionals experiences who shaped the professional who graduated. There are observations regarding the experience of working in clinical practice in the midst of a pandemic, also about the difficulties of working in the Unified Health System. Finally, a brief analysis of the extracurricular activities developed during graduation.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Por que medicina? Por que UFSCar?: uma análise crítico-reflexiva da graduação em medicina da Universidade Federal de São Carlos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Assumpção, Kin Shimabukuro Castro de; Estevão, Isabeth da Fonseca; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2932607007844855; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8707963851118640This Undergraduate Thesis will follow the guidelines from UFSCar’s medical course’s Projeto Político Pedagógico (Political Pedagogical Project). The development of this thesis is a critical and reflexive narrative from the perspective of a student and his trajectory through out the six years of graduation. As such, it will follow a cronological line presenting all three cycles lived in the medical training with the duration of two years each. The first cycle, also known as basic cycle has the purpose of introducing all basic fields needed to become a medical doctor. Following an active learning methodology called “Espiral Construtivista” it’s also a moment for the student to learn how to become more independent and to find ways to study finding adequate and up-to-date study sources for what you’re looking for. The second cycle follows the basic cycle with amelioration of clinical and ambulatorial practice and beggining to enphasize some pathologies and branching the medical knowledge into greater fields The third and final cycle is also known as “Internato” being a real immersion of the student in what is expected as a graduated medical doctor. The end of graduation was profoundly marked by COVID-19’s pandemic and because of it, this weird moment in anyone’s life deserves special atention, even more when we talk about someone who’ll work in healthcare. Finally, the conclusion is that even with insecurities and anxieties, the thought of every moment lived up to this point shows us that the progress made is undeniable and the perspective of betterment is always possiblelistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Prática profissional em Medicina entre 2015 - 2020(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Ferraz, Getúlio Pinheiro Lopes; Kishi, Renata Giannecchini Bongiovanni; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7651034212763580; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7379045656527354The undergraduate medical course at the Federal University of São Carlos is known for some peculiarities - mainly for the characteristic of inserting the student in a professional practice scenario already in the first year, when the student has not yet mastered some of the necessary abilities for the exercise of medicine. In the meantime, this critical-reflexive narrative carried out by an undergraduate student on the verge of completing his course presents some perceptions and experiences lived during the undergraduate course.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O funk de MC Melody: problematizações sobre mídia, sexualidade e infância(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Pongeluppe, Maria Angélica Brizolari; Dinis, Nilson Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9901790534758296; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0713526800673130In contemporary society, we are facing an explosion of technological innovations enhanced by digital networks for the dissemination and sharing of data provided by the internet. This was what happened in 2015 with the funk kid artists, especially with the artist called MC Melody. Observing among these artists a remarkable process of search for visibility and consequent projection of the self, led to one of the questions of this research, that is, discuss the presence of sexuality in the MC Melody’s work and the use of the internet to self spectacularize in search of recognition in the fame market. To this end, the research uses some of the discussions arising from Cultural Studies and Gender Studies, as some of these studies consider that our identities are constituted continuously, within certain cultures, by constant power disputes. It was found, through the analysis of lyrics, images and statements in reports and on social networks, that in the artist's work, different self-disclosure strategies were used to explore the diffusing power of the internet and keep in evidence. In 2015, in an exhibition of images that sometimes denote eroticization and adultization, the girl reached enormous projection with some praise, but with numerous criticisms she received from Internet users and, consequently, with protective action by the Public Ministry. With the principle of "Speak bad, but speak of me" intoned, in one of her songs, the singer has been performing with images that oscillate between girl-child and girl-woman - in a kind of blur between childhood and adulthood. It is concluded that, in this performance field of fluid identities, education can play an important role: that of opening a listening channel for children so that there is an active reflection on the role that the media and its different texts play in the process of constitution of identities, in the understanding about sexuality and the place that children occupy in society.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O profissional de saúde e o luto: reflexões a partir da trajetória acadêmica no curso de medicina(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Santos, Priscila Alves dos; Luna, Willian Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1860768963636452; Kishi, Renata Giannecchini Bongiovanni; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7651034212763580; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0436187587133107Death is considered a defeat or failure for many health professionals, particularly, for the doctor, and not as a natural fact arising from the history of every individual. Consequently, the relentless search for the maintenance of life ends up triggering stress and anguish, which can affect the professional's performance and a better understanding of how this event affects him. The purpose of this course conclusion paper is to relate aspects of the formative trajectory, through narratives and based on scientific literature, aiming at a better understanding of the emotional conditions of health professionals in grief and the preparation in academic training to face such questions. Thus, I sought to carry out a brief bibliographic review on the grieving processes related to health professionals, narrative personal about my experiences about this, and conclude by bringing the learnings, gaps and recommendations seen through reflections built. Through this work, it was possible to contribute to the reflection of the theme and academic trajectories that hardly allow a sufficient approach to deal with issues such as the elaboration of mourning by students and professionals, thus preventing emotional exhaustion, feelings of anguish and frustration, so frequent in our midst.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Por que Medicina? Por que UFSCar? Um registro da minha trajetória(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Pereira, Rafaela Catelan Martins; Carvalho, Felipe Santos de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6491824540100200Introduction The Bachelor of Medical Sciences Degree at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) is based on developing the competence and the theoretical-practical integration by means of a constructivist educational approach and using active learning methodologies. As part of the students’ assessment, the Independent Study consists of a synthesis about the development of the professional experience during the course. Objectives The Independent Study general objective is to show and to share to the university community the log of clinical activities developed, the preceding expectations before the graduation, the understanding about health and care developed during the university undergraduate course, and the expectations at the end of the course regarding the professional experience. On the other hand, this Independent Study specific objective is to present insights about each educational term, such as: holistic approach to human care I, II and III, in areas of education – extension – research. Materials and methods Using the case assessment portfolio developed during the undergraduate course at the university, the author presents her personal opinion about the professional development process using an inquisitive narrative. Discussion The educational cycles (terms)progress were recorded balancing the three elements of the education-research-extension triad. The medical training becomes complete by enabling the union of formal classroom education – in which theory is closely connected to the practical experience -, the development of the bibliographic review and refined research and the construction of knowledge using scientific research. Activities that enabled integration between the university and society were also developed resulting in higher exposure of scientific production to the general public. Conclusion The educational, assistance and research elements of the undergraduate course programme are fundamental for the systematization of the professional development, aiding the student with the tools that will enable him/her to further develop clinical assessment skills, as well as developing and planning for the medical career.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Resistência bacteriana aos Macrolídeos: um olhar sobre a Azitromicina(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2020-11-12) Iriarte, Daniel de Azevedo; Santos, Sigrid de Sousa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0475600621927610; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1606293655912025It is increasingly important to focus on the battle against bacterial resistance to antibiotics. The indiscriminate use of these drugs weighs on an already unbalanced equilibrium between strains resistant to the available medications and the difficult and slow process of creating new antibiotics. To mitigate these effects, it is mandatory that current antibiotics are able to maintain the lowest resistance profile possible. The rationalization in the prescription has a predominant role in this goal, because the incorrect use can lead to selecting bacterial defense mechanisms. The current context, during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, in which several drugs were used in an attempt to reposition its function for the viral fight, became an additional complicating factor for the rational use of antimicrobials. When using Azithromycin for its immunomodulatory effect within a pathology that is essentially viral, the doors are opened for the increase of bacterial resistance to this medication and its drug class. There is plausibility to state that the indiscriminate use of this antibiotic, regardless of its intended function, increases the possibility of selecting resistant bacteria. Azithromycin is a semi-synthetic compound discovered in the 1950s, based on the structure of erythromycin, the original drug of the class, and shares with it its mechanisms of action and has its main focus on inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 23S subunit ribosomal. Its means of resistance are well described and are important to understand the reasons for bacterial selection and can influence the search for new, more effective drugs.
