Medicina/UFSCar: relato da minha vivência no curso

Abstract

The Medical Course at the Federal University of São Carlos aims at general, humanistic, ethical, critical and reflexive medical training, using real or simulated situations for teaching, which stimulate the development of critical-reflexive skills, in a constructivist spiral. It is organized according to longitudinal and complementary educational units, structured based on the performance expected for students. The Course Conclusion Work (TCC) is an assessment tool and consists of a critical- reflective narrative about the student's experience with the learning process, with caring for people and with working in the health system. By the end of the course, as a student, I can see that there has been a great personal and professional growth. Each stage of this journey was extremely important for the construction of the doctor I will become. The reflection that remains is that I feel privileged and blessed by the opportunity to experience the experience of becoming a doctor at a public university, with its flaws and virtues. Here I learned much more than medicine and I was sure that knowledge is infinite, does not take up space and it is always time to seek it out.
