Abstract

The reflection on the presence of science inside and outside the university in the view of a medical student at the Federal University of São Carlos who, through research, acquired a wide professional background and expanded her academic training through new cultures, languages and social skills. The work presents the entire trajectory traveled by the student in the scientific community, in addition to events she participated in and outside the university, corroborating the importance of the insertion of science, research and innovation in the academic environment, mentioning great authors who study this theme in the Brazil and the world
