listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Construção de um pipeline de dados utilizando serviços da nuvem(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Arrais, Karolayne Fernandes; Ribeiro, Marcela Xavier; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0300141044144026The evolution of the computer network and the increasing access and interaction of the world population to the internet has provided a change in the data scenario. At all times, data is generated in exorbitant amounts and of the most varied structures, breaking with conventional data systems that were focused on transactional operations, initiating a process where systems have evolved to meet the analytical demands that grow with the concept of process orientation and decisions through information (Data Driven). In the era of Big Data, in addition to the evolution of data models and infrastructure for processing and storage, there was also the specialization of professionals in the area so that each one had mastery over specific processes of the data life cycle. Following this context, the objective of the present study is to build an understanding of the Big Data scenario and its influence on the evolution of current processes and concepts in the area, carrying out a practical development of the creation of a data pipeline solution using computing services in cloud to integrate, collect, model, process and analyze COVID-19 data and world development indicators.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Reações de fotooxigenação de pinenos em pinocarvonas, trans-pinocarveóis e mirtenal: uma abordagem em regime de fluxo contínuo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Santos, Thiago Izidoro Silva; Oliveira, Kleber Thiago de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3759761373942891; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1237403355729371In this work, a continuous flow protocol to prepare (-)-pinocarvone, (-)-trans- pinocarveol and (+)-myrtenal from (+)--pinene, (-)--pinene and -pinene through photooxygenation reactions was described. Furthermore, taking into account that the development of this protocol under continuous flow involves a large number of variables (flow, concentration, productivity, yield, oxygen pressure, and residence time), a new index was created to cover part of these variables (concentration, yield, and productivity), thus facilitating the analysis of the obtained data and the choice of the best and most productive reactional condition; this index was named as Efficiency. With the developed continuous protocol in hand, it was possible to perform the first description of the continuous synthesis of these derivatives on a multigram scale with the following isolated yields: (-)-pinocarvone (12.57 g, 73 %), (+)-pinocarvone (13.56 g, 76%), (-)-trans-pinocarveol (10.83 g, 61%) and (+)-trans-pinocarveol (10.66 g, 62%) in experiments performed in up to 24 h. In addition, promising results were obtained for the synthesis of (+)-myrtenal with a productivity of 9.05 g.day-1, a relevant result to be considered in future investigations.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O processo de alfabetização e letramento na cultura digital: possibilidades e desafios para os anos iniciais do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Piccirilli, Giovanna Maria Recco; Monteiro, Maria Iolanda; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4189205834370563; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8582953029697001The present course conclusion work has the general objective to investigate the nuances suffered in the literacy and literacy process in the digital context and theoretical conceptions regarding the concept, given the challenges that institutions, teachers and students went through during on-line teaching in the current pandemic scenario we are experiencing. It also highlights the applicability and benefits of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDICs) in the classroom, as well as rethinking the school space integrated with technological resources, bringing students closer to everyday life. The methodology adopted was qualitative research (LÜDKE; ANDRÉ, 2022) carried out in a bank of national theses and dissertations (BDTD) and by the Literacy, Reading and Writing Center of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (CEALE) and Academic Google, using as time frame the last decade (2010-2021). The theoretical perspective that guided the conceptual analysis are the works of Magda Soares (2020; 2021a; 2021b), Maria Iolanda Monteiro (2020; 2010) e Rita de Cassia de Souza Landin (2015; 2020), which guided the categorization of the selection of works and their subcategories. The results obtained through a bibliographic survey revealed that there is a relatively small set of academic research on the discussion of Education in the context of digital culture for the Initial Years of Elementary School, analyzing and reflecting those technologies are increasingly entering the spheres of society, in such a way that it will not be different in the course of literacy and literacy.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Dos conceitos fundamentais da termodinâmica ao resetting de computadores quânticos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Diniz, Ciro Micheletti; Villas-Bôas, Celso Jorge; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5700887540085418; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3102671365275808Thermodynamic has been known and studied for centuries, whereas the field of computing, more specifically quantum computing, is new and currently a lot of research has being done to understand and develop this field of physics. Despite the difference in age these branches have, they are understood and expressed by fundamental functions and principles, such as energy, entropy, information, heat, concepts of dissipation and conservation, among many others examples, and the advancement and development of areas allow us to be always updated. Just in the last century, for example, we started, in the scope of computing, to relate entropy with information. Also in this last century it was developed by R. Landauer a principle that relates information with heat flux, this last one has always been strongly linked to the area of thermodynamics, and thus it made clear to us the intersection between the two areas. As time goes by, quantum computing arises and it is growing rapidly, mainly due to its technological appeal. In this work, we are focused on the connection between these branches and just as Landauer's principle we focus our studies on functions that connect the two areas, using appropriate definitions for quantum systems, in order to increase our understanding of quantum thermodynamics. Through the analysis of the results obtained, we were able to observe new and some even counterintuitive behaviors. One of these ones noticed allowed us to develop a reset protocol for quantum systems, a tool widely used in quantum computing.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Obtenção, caracterização e avaliação da performance fotocatalítica de nanoestruturas de TiO2 contendo metais de transição (Nb e W)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Santos, Emerson Chaves dos; Avansi Junior, Waldir; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5852409796882171; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0759803226435293Heterogeneous photocatalysis has been considered a promising alternative for the removal of several organic pollutants linked to environmental pollution. Among a range of materials currently used, titanium dioxide (TiO2), especially in the anatase phase, it stands out for presenting intrinsic characteristics appropriate for a photocatalyst, such as high stability, photoactivity, atoxicity, and others. As a result, it was has been established that the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2 is related to several characteristics such as size, shape, crystalline structure, presence of dopants, and others. Thus, the main objective of this work was to obtain, characterize and evaluate the effects of the addition of metallic ions as Tungsten (W) and Niobium (Nb) on the photocatalytic properties of TiO2 nanostructures. These nanostructures were prepared using the conventional hydrothermal method, without the use of additives such as surfactants or halides, at the temperature equal to 200 ºC. The analyzes carried out through the experimental techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy showed that all samples presented the anatase crystalline phase, regardless of the type or amount of metal ions. The Electron microscopy measurements confirmed the change in morphology as a function of the amount of metallic ions, but are not in relation to the type, W or Nb. The photocatalytic performance of the samples obtained has been evaluated in the degradation of Rhodamine B (Rod.B) and Methylene Blue (AM) dyes, photoactivated by exposure to ultraviolet radiation. According to photocatalytic assays and XPS results, the MxTi1−xO2 (M = Nb and W) nanostructures obtained had their surface characteristics has been altered, favoring the degradation of cationic dyes such as AM. Thus, the Raman and XPS results showed that the amount of metallic ions induced an increase in the presence of defects in the structure, which brought a deleterious effect to the degradation of the Rod.B dye. In a final step, the proposed method also presented promising results concerning to obtaining doped nanostructures only with N (TiO2N) and co-doped nanostructures (W0.03Ti0.97O2N, W0.29Ti0.71O2N, Nb0.02Ti0.98O2N and Nb0.27Ti0.73O2N). The co-doped samples has showed higher photocatalytic performance compared to samples containing only the presence of metal ions, since the results suggest that the presence of N favored the formation of defect pairs, consequently reducing the rate of recombination of charge carriers.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Implementação de melhorias na plataforma BIPES e no SNEK para microcontroladores de pequeno porte(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Peixoto, Vinicius De Oliveira; Aroca, Rafael Vidal; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9262228584082064; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2491537202160741The way you learn a subject is as important as the subject itself. It is necessary that the new content is presented in such a way that the person won’t find resistance to make the connections and judgments needed to develop knowledge. That’s why teaching Computer Science, an area of great importance nowadays, has met some obstacles. There are barriers that one faces when they start learning programming, like dealing with hard-to-learn programming languages. Visual programming is seen as an interesting alternative to help lower these difficulties, and for that a lot of platforms have been using this resource to ease the learning problem in their field. BIPES (Block-based Integrated Platform for Embedded Systems) is an open source platform that uses block programming to make learning and developing solutions with embedded devices easy. The platform has a lot of easy to handle blocks that span through many different topics, for many different types of boards, sensors and actuators. Expanding the capacity of this platform is desired, giving even more possibilities for computer newbies to be able to build applications for embedded systems. This expansion can happen by adding support to new types of boards, like Arduino, a board that was not supported up until recently, but was added to BIPES due to the introduction of a new extremely lightweight Python-inspired programming language called Snek. This project aims to widen BIPES capabilities by making a new block design to control a servo motor using an Arduino board programmed with Snek code. The block can be used to incorporate monitoring and controlling the servo motor through IoT (Internet of Things) and was validated by random users with and without prior programming experience as being really easy to use.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Caracterização dos encalhes de tartarugas marinhas no litoral norte de São Paulo e a influência das ameaças antropogênicas associadas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Nunes, Vitória Lopes; Arruda, Eliane Pintor de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8843243211552880; Araújo, Vinícius Albano; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0559800226477492; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7548292940862709Sea turtles are aquatic reptiles with a high migratory capacity, distributed along the Brazilian coast, alternating between feeding and nesting areas. Of the seven species in the world, five occur in Brazil. All over the world, a reduction in the populations of sea turtles has been recorded, with an increase in the number of records of strandings being increasingly recurrent, and currently all species being on the Brazilian coast are, at different levels, threatened with extinction. Bycatch and solid waste contamination are one of the main threats to non-target organisms. The analysis of sea turtle stranding patterns allows inferences about aspects of biology and ecology, compiling data on mortality, distribution, diet, sex ratio, feeding areas, spawning and diseases. In this study, (i) we analyzed the effects of seasonality on the abundance of stranded sea turtles, (ii) we verified whether there is a distinction between the sex and developmental stage of stranded sea turtles and (iii) we evaluated whether human activities can contribute to strandings or for greater viewing of beached sea turtles. Stranding data were collected over a six-year interval (2015-2021), on 235 beaches located in the the northern coast of the State of São Paulo, municipalities of Ubatuba, Caraguatatuba, São Sebastião and Ilhabela, on the northern coast of the State of São Paulo, obtained through active daily monitoring and passive and made available on the SIMBA/PMP/BS public domain platform. During the five years of monitoring, 6411 sea turtle strandings were recorded, the majority being Chelonia mydas (n = 5812), Caretta caretta (n = 313), Lepidochelys olivacea (n = 116), Eretmochelys imbricata (n = 61) and Dermochelys coriacea (n = 9). These strandings were reported mainly by the population. Most stranded animals were dead, in an advanced stage of decomposition, and in the juvenile stage of development. Strandings occurred mainly in winter and spring. In animals in which it was possible to determine the cause of death, the main associated anthropogenic factors were fishing gear, injuries from collisions and ingestion of solid waste, such as plastics. The regularity of monitoring programs on beaches in southeastern Brazil made possible studies that suggest to an increase in the frequency of strandings of sea turtles and a pattern of these strandings for the coast of the Southeast, with records for the five species that occur in Brazil. This study demonstrates the importance of monitoring along the Brazilian coast, enabling the collection and study of stranding data, which help to understand the dynamics of marine ecosystems and the main threats to be considered in management and conservation plans. It is necessary to expand environmental and oceanic education activities, promoting reflection on environmental issues, raising awareness and democratizing the participation of different sectors of society.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo e comparação das técnicas de validação cruzada desenvolvidas para séries temporais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Simionato, Daniel; Moura, Maria Sílvia de Assis; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9410151859448447; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5553660480517331Testing the generalization capacity of an algorithm obtained is crucial for any prediction methodology, for which cross-validation methods were developed. However, when dealing with data that have dependency among observations, as in the case of time series, the usual cross-validation methodologies are not appropriate. Currently, there is no single and usual way to test the generalizability of a predictive model for time series. In this work we will study and compare four different variations of methods for cross-validation, this will be done through simulations of different time series.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Evolução das exportações brasileiras de soja nos períodos 2011-2013 e 2018-2020(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Souza, Matheus Rossini de; Castro, Eduardo Rodrigues de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5702172673123334Given the importance of the soybean market, being the largest exporter and the largest producer of the good on the planet, the present work aims to analyze the evolution of Brazilian exports from the soy complex, which mainly involves grain, bran and oil, through the Constant Market-Share methodology. The importance of the good nowadays is mainly reflected in livestock, biodiesel production and the food industry. Analyzing the periods of 2011-2013 and 2018-2020, it was concluded that soybean exports evolved predominantly through Competitiveness Effect, which demonstrates that Brazil has gained market over the years vis-in to other nations. Here, it is worth mentioning the significant importance of China to Brazil in the soybean market, since the country is the largest buyer of Brazilian oilseeds. Finally, oil and soybean meal exported by Brazil had a fall in their exports, mainly due to the Potential Effect. This demonstrates a fall in global demand for the goods and reinforces the country's position in the export of unprocessed products, using its comparative advantages. In the case of oil, the loss of competitiveness in the world market also contributed to the reduction of exports of this product. Thus, it is important that Brazil solves its logistical and productivity bottlenecks in order to maintain its international competitiveness, as well as seek new markets for oil and bran exports, diversifying the export agenda.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Reciclagem de borrachas: uma abordagem sobre processos e impactos ambientais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Miuci, Murilo Butarelli; Moreira, Francys Kley Vieira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7156680316782417Rubber wastes represent a growing and important environmental issue. Despite the existence of legislation, the increasing demand for rubber products, combined with their improper postconsumer disposal, have caused several environmental, social, and economic impacts. Due to the three-dimensional structure formed by cross-links during vulcanization, elastomeric materials undergo limited reuse pathways. To overcome this limitation, different recycling routes have been applied, such as grinding, energy recovery and, more recently, the devulcanization technique, in which the cross-links are selectively broken, allowing the rubber to be reprocessed and remolded for different applications. This work aims to describe different routes for rubber waste recycling, depicting different applications to reinsert these materials into the production chain. Furthermore, the life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology was applied to compare the eco-impacts resulting from the energy recycling of different rubber materials (natural rubber, SBR, BR and silicone) in terms of the following categories: global warming, human toxicity (carcinogenic effects), and scarcity of fossil resources. Natural rubber presented the smallest eco-impacts when subjected to energy recycling. SBR and BR presented intermediate impacts, also presenting equivalent results, in view of their similar composition. On the other hand, silicone rubber presented the greatest impacts in all analyzed eco-impact categories.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O método dos elementos finitos aplicado à análise estrutural de pórticos planos em MS-Excel(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Borges, Augusto Schiapati; Almeida Filho, Fernando Menezes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0447825383222965The Finite Element Method was implemented through an application in the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language directly to the MS-Excel software in order to make the structural analysis process more dynamic and to allow an iterative design that meets the any proposed static scheme facilitating the search for the ideal solution. It was concluded that the proposed application is capable of analyzing reticulated structures with longitudinal and transverse stiffness, obtaining accurate results in relation to displacements and reactions for ported structures and, in addition, is able to calculate internal forces both for static schemes subjected to concentrated loads and for distributed loads.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O uso do omnichannel em pequenas e médias empresas: um estudo sobre a sua aplicação no varejo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Oliveira, Henrique Diez Marques de; Fiorini, Paula de Camargo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8321834215728086The goal of this study is to investigate the possibility of using omnichannel in small and medium-sized retail companies, as well the benefits and challenges involved in the application. For that, a survey with semi-structured interviews was conducted with three specialists in retail and omnichannel in Brazil. Among the main results, it is highlighted that omnichannel is an important and applicable strategy for large companies and small and medium-sized companies in the retail sector. In addition, it was found that the application of omnichannel brings benefits such as a reduction of the logistical costs and an increase of the company's profit, making the organization able to carry out more assertive campaigns to its customers and provide a unique experience journey to the consumer. About the challenges, small and medium-sized companies may face the high costs involved for implementation, as well as a limiting culture of their employees, who need to be able to make this change for their application. The main contribution of this study is to understand the use of omnichannel as a competitive advantage for companies, even if they are small or medium-sized.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desafios sobre o desenvolvimento de resistência de Escherichia coli a antibióticos: uma revisão sobre linhagens patogênicas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Félix, Grasiele Cristina; Montagnolli, Renato Nallin; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7455124733755299; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3459812580452024Microbial resistance to antibiotics is a public health problem, causing significant damage to the health of the population. In addition, there are political and economic implications. In society, there are consequences to anthropic actions, even the most subtle ones, which contribute to the resistance of microbial agents. Among them are the unconscious use of antibiotics, incorrect prescription, the spread of microorganisms among the world population, the encouragement of self-medication and the lack of access to basic sanitation. In this sense, the relationship between microorganisms and human beings can become extremely harmful, as it facilitates the formation and development of harmful biofilms. Microorganism communities produce this structure for adhesion to a surface, which in turn expands until reaching maturation and later dispersion. This formation aims to protect from external factors and symbiotic relationships, providing the flow of gene exchange and consequent increase in resistance to survival. Several works have been published on resistance to antimicrobial agents and biofilm formation. The impacts, consequences and forms of retention and prevention of biofilms will be analyzed to broaden the understanding of minimizing the damage caused. The biofilms of the bacterium Escherichia coli, which inhabit the gastrointestinal system of birds and mammals mostly in a commensal way, will be used as object of study, but some strains can cause moderate to severe diseases in all age groups. The analysis of factors that facilitate the sharing and distribution of resistance genes in E. coli biofilms and their consequences are necessary to verify the next steps for its minimization.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Avaliação do efeito da adição de microssílica em concretos contendo ZnAl2O4(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Fini, Diogo Schiavon; Luz, Ana Paula da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3470395641242374El consumo de refractarios es parte significante del costo de producción de acero, de forma que las acerías consumen en promedio entre 5 y 15 kg de refractarios por tonelada de acero producida. They are: Rural Product Notes (CPR), Agricultural Deposit Certificate (CDA), Agricultural Warrant (WA), Agribusiness Credit Rights Certificate (CDCA), Agribusiness Letters of Credit (LCA) and Agribusiness Receivable Certificate (CRA). The objective of this study is to identify economic elements that impact on the amount of negotiation of these funding tools. Taking into consideration econometric analyzes, using the Ordinary Least Squares method. The achievied results show that the volume of funds of CPR is directly associated to the Bovespa index. The CDCA registered volume indicated positive association of Bovespa index and Rural Credit volume. On the Other hand, the registered volume of LCA indicated negative association to the variation of Bovespa index and interest rate of Rural Credit and positive association of CDCA store. Lastly, the CRA registered volume was positively associated to Bovespa index, volume and interest rate of Rural Credit, besides being negatively associated to rural insurance. The results contribute to expansion of knowledge considering agribusiness private titles, that throughout the years are getting consolidated as na alternative to compliment the credit demand existing in the sector.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Percepções de licenciandos sobre o estágio supervisionado remoto em tempos de pandemia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Bossolan, Danielle Cristine; Biazolli, Caroline Carnielli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7908630593356660As a fundamental component of the curriculum in undergraduate courses, the subject of supervised internship aims to provide students in initial teacher-training the confluence of theoretical and practical experiences in the school environment, that being a field of research and knowledge (PIMENTA; LIMA, 2006). Acknowledging the teaching activity as work requires the understanding that numerous aspects essential to "being a teacher" evolve and change over time and with experience, accepting the internship as the primary space in which such ideals and skills first emerge. In order to conduct this research, a historical-temporal cut is made with the purpose of investigating, exclusively, the internship done remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. We intend to identify and understand the perceptions of a group of undergraduates about this particular period, analyzing experience reports available in open acess environments. At first, this study presents conceptions related to supervised internship, to the context of emergency remote teaching and to experience reports, which served as a basis for the later stage in our research, in which we qualitatively analyze what we found of opinions on remote supervised internships made by the students. To that end, this is an early exploratory study that aims to contribute to the development of understandings of what this period of social isolation was like for those going through teacher-training processes.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Mock objects: um estudo de caso de uma aplicação na indústria(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Faria, Daniel Lippi Castro de; Vincenzi, Auri Marcelo Rizzo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0611351138131709; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4412101645458658Context: Modern Java applications make extensive use of mock objects. In this context, many approaches to this topic are present in the literature. A great number of these, employ basic OO design principles, such as object interfaces. However, developers practice tend to disagree with such ideas. Aims: This study case will assess how an industry application (in Java) makes use of mock objects and how this practice is related to software quality traits and OO design principles. Method: Relying on the Factor-Criteria-Metrics quality model, this study will analyze how mock object usage correlates to the intrinsic quality factors of the investigated application. In this regard, all the 101 mock occurrences are examined under different perspectives such as mock distribution in test classes, functionalities used, refactoring required, and others. Results: In the analyzed application, mock object implementations are highly related to the design of the same. The number of dependencies in a production class is directly related to the number of mocks in the respective test class, as an example. As a consequence, poor design choices, are harmful to intrinsic quality factors such as the maintainability of the application tests. Conclusion: The application of mock objects in the assessed system ignores basic OO design principles existent in the literature. This is a sign that developers are making an immature use of the technique. Important software quality aspects are underestimated by the approach analyzed.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise de artigos científicos sobre COVID-19: uma perspectiva usando redes complexas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Nunes, Vitor Henrique Bormio; Valejo, Alan Demétrius Baria; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9546164790189830; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2037537895472349The COVID-19 pandemic was one of the 21st century's biggest events, impacting the lives of all the people on the planet. From a scientific perspective, it was a very accelerated growth period for the medical, pharmaceutical and biochemistry areas, which developed research to fight the disease. In order to help the fight against the disease, scientific research groups compiled and made available a database containing articles of studies on COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 and coronavirus, aiming to facilitate access to publications and the development of new research against the virus. From a computational perspective, we have different models to improve the visualization and analysis of datasets. One of these models is the complex networks, which describe their units (vertex) and relationships (edges) to help understand the behavior of complex systems. The objective of this work is to study the concepts and tools of complex networks to generate visualizations and analyses of co-authorship and citation networks of scientific articles on coronavirus.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Predição da produtividade de milho (zea mays l) por meio da interpretação temporal de índices de vegetação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-04-18) Meirelles, Luara Franciane de; Molin, Paulo Guilherme; https://lattes.cnpq.br/152981965094237; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9924412551603342The estimation of grain production is necessary for agribusiness. In Brazil, the corn culture (Zea mays L.) has become one of the leading agricultural commodities, being the basis for the country's agribusiness. Brazil's biggest region corn producer is the Center-South, which represents 83% of national production. The use of remote sensing can generate an extensive database, helping the producer manage and monitor the crop and predict productivity. An example of remote sensing combined with monitoring and predicting productivity is through techniques that relate productivity with vegetation indices obtained from satellite images. This work aimed to evaluate methods for estimating the yield of second-crop corn on a property in the Southwest region of São Paulo using vegetation indexes. For this purpose, we used the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDRE), and data production obtained directly from a productivity sensor installed in the harvester John Deere S660 model. The study area is located on a property in the municipality of Capão Bonito-SP, in an area of 19 ha of second-crop corn. The values of vegetation indices were obtained through Sentinel-2 satellite images (pixel 10×10m) and using the QGIS software. In total, 15 scenes between planting and harvesting were acquired. We used the average productivity values obtained within each pixel, thus correlating the values of vegetation indices with the productivity value within the pixel. The linear regression calculation of productivity generated 30 graphs, 15 for each index with the machine's productivity.
