listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Síntese do éster de glicerol derivado do breu e suas aplicações(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Penteado, Paula Scarabotto; Venâncio, Tiago; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4438399441102990; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4917698964035412It is evident that the current world has become dependent on the use of plastic in several applications, among them, the use of resins has been widely explored in the construction, paints, varnish, adhesives and even jewelry and crafts sectors, as the epoxy resin. Currently, there is low recyclability of synthetic resins on a commercial scale, then, natural resins can be a great alternative for some applications. The glycerol ester is a derived resin from the esterification of rosin, in other words, of abietic acid, when in contact with the glycerol and an acid catalyst. This material is mainly applied in hot melt adhesives (solid materials that melt at low temperatures) and depilatory waxes since it has high sticking power and a relatively low softening point, which allows application at low temperatures. Abietic acid is a natural product found in pine trees, from which it can be extracted and, therefore, easily obtainable, making recycling much more effective.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Crescimento alométrico e o uso da relação peso e comprimento na avaliação espacial da abundância e condição corporal de peixes juvenis(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Santiago, Diogo Fernandes; Rodrigues Filho, Jorge luiz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1847907417927121; Branco, Joaquim Olinto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3241905846920207; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7073246014942522Coastal ecosystems such as estuaries and coastal lagoons have a great economic, ecological and social importance. Vegetated habitats such as mangroves and marshes are recognized for acting as nursery areas for juvenile fish, due to the fact that they provide areas of refuge Against predators, greater availability of food and provide an accelerated growth of juvenile fish. However, the intense environmental degradation and the inappropriate use of its resources by humanity threaten the coastal ecosystem services of these environments. The data extracted from the weight and length relationship (LW) have applicability in several ecological studies and for fisheries science. In this sense, the general objective was to explore ecological and biological aspects through the relationship approach (LW). Initially, relationships (LW) were adjusted, and their parameters were estimated. Allometric growth type (positive allometric; negative allometric; isometric) was tested for juvenile fish caught in an estuary in the Neotropics. In addition, the extreme values (higher and lower) of the parameter b of the relationships (LW) were evaluated regarding the body shape of the fish. Finally, the influence of different habitats on the abundance and body condition of juvenile fish of Atherinella brasiliensis was tested. Twenty-two relationships (LW) were adjusted for fish in the juvenile phase, and the predominant type of growth (54.54%) was isometric, showing that most species of juveniles increase their body dimensions in the same proportion. The body shape of the species partly explains the extreme values (higher and lower) of parameter b. Furthermore, the results of the second chapter indicate that saltmarsh habitats seem to increase the nursery value for juvenile A. brasiliensis individuals, probably due to the presence of abundant vegetation and its associated resourceslistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Diferentes meios de cultura no cultivo in vitro de três genótipos de roseiras(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Leite, Mariana Pelais; Cardoso, Jean Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3681181863704059; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7061758702266032Rose is considered one of the most important cut flower species in the world, and the main propagation systems have been cuttings and grafting. However, the micropropagation of roses has been applied for the production of genotypes free from pests and diseases, as well as in the genetic improvement with the use of biotechnology. Among the biggest challenges of the wider use of micropropagation are the high costs and low yield of seedlings, and the presence of physiological anomalies such as early leaf abortion and difficulties with in vitro rooting. Thus, this work aimed to develop a study on the effects of the culture medium, especially the saline formulation, on the rooting process of three genotypes of rose bushes in vitro. The culture medium showed a significant result for seven of the eleven biometric parameters evaluated, number of roots, length of the largest root, fresh mass, fresh mass of shoot, fresh mass of root, dry mass, dry mass of shoot. The interaction between genotype and medium was significant for number of leaves, dry mass of the root, number of roots and length of the largest root. The isolated effect of the genotype was significant for number of leaves, length of the largest root, number of roots, fresh mass, fresh mass of shoot, fresh mass of the root, and total dry mass. In general, the results were very heterogeneous, and it was possible to observe that, according to the parameter, a given medium was more suitable - More restrictive media such as WPM and A4 promoted better results for number of roots and length of the largest root while MS and B5 were linked to significant results for total and aerial fresh pasta - and even within a certain genotype there was no difference between the media for most parameters, as occurred with the mixed genotype compared to the orange and bluegenotypes.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Previsão do preço do café utilizando redes neurais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Araujo, Leonardo Marinzek; França, Celso Aparecido de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4547836128892982; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1274679558347457The present article aims to develop a study on the functioning of Multi-Layer Neural Networks, in order to predict the price of coffee, based on certain climatic conditions. In this way, it can be used as an aid tool at the time of selling the culture. The product whose price will be set is defined as Arabica coffee in a 60kg bag. For the accomplishment of this project, a database was used that contains climatic factors related to the years 2003 to 2008 and the prices related to certain dates. To carry out this project, a linear regression multilayer neural network was implemented. From this, a database was trained with some characteristics related to time, which can influence the price of a bag of coffee. By the end of the article, the reader will not only have knowledge about the theory behind neural networks, but also a theoretical background on the practical use of multi-layer Neural Networks in order to predict the price of a 60kg bag of coffee.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Masculino & Feminino: a androginia na música brasileira (1966-1985)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Baena, Pâmela Keiti; Leite Júnior, Jorge; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7253561448346772; Coutinho, Luciana Cristina Salvatti; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2688318704089723; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0457602425911721Androgyny proved to be an aesthetic expression that was very present in the 20th century, particularly with regard to the western music scene. From the 1970s onwards, groups and artists incorporated this aesthetic into their musical and theatrical performances, bringing the importance of the visual to the fields of sound and interpretation. The music represented by the image. But where does this aesthetic come from and what elements can be considered androgynous in musical performance? What was the importance of this artistic movement in contemporary Brazilian music? Can it be thought of as a continuous movement or are they, in each epoch, isolated forms of expression? To guide these questions, the androgynous aesthetics in Brazilian music album covers and inserts during the second half of the 20th century, more precisely between 1966 and 1985, under the influence of social movements in the context of sexual liberation , counterculture and the explosion of rock facilitated by the media around the world and, in Brazil, in the context of the Military Regime and the censorship of artistic productions, influenced by the tropicalist movement. Using analysis of documental sources according to historiography as a research methodology, it was intended to know the history of androgyny; point out its importance to the English musical movement called glam rock; to weave connections between Brazilian artists who fit into such a category; and to reflect on the meanings of these approaches in music, facing a society in which gender binarism has been questioned. It was concluded that androgyny operates through vagueness and ambiguity, with the intention of transgressing any form of normativity.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise molecular e fenotípica de eventos elite de Citrus sinensis geneticamente modificado em condições de campo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Tricai, Flávia Rocha; Souza, Alessandra Alves de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9357251483717307; Schinor, Evandro Henrique; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2162760988837984; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6974699721495813Brazil stands out worldwide as the largest orange producer. The sector has faced challenges related to phytosanitary problems and among these problems are bacterial diseases, such as citrus variegated chlorosis (CVC), citrus canker and huanglongbing (HLB). Biotechnology has sought tools aimed at plant resistance to pathogens and plant transformation has been shown to be an effective strategy. This study aimed to evaluate sweet orange plants overexpressing the MqsR toxin and the rpfF gene, regarding transgene stability, agronomic development and resistance to CVC, citrus canker and HLB. The experiment was carried out with plants of the Pineapple variety and the Hamlin variety overexpressing the rpfF gene (Pi-rpfF and H-rpfF) and Pineapple overexpressing the MqsR (Pi-MqsR), installed at the Centro de Citricultura “Sylvio Moreira” (IAC) in municipality of Cordeiropolis, SP. These plants were evaluated for chlorophyll content, development (plant height and canopy volume), resistance to CVC, citrus canker and HLB and fruit quality, always compared to non-transgenic plants (WT), performing Student's t tests at 5% significance. Only one plant from the Pi-rpfF event did not have the stable transgene. The overexpression of the genes did not change the chlorophyll content of the plants, that is, the chlorophyll was equivalent between transgenic plants and WT plants. Regarding development, H-rpfF and Pi-MqsR had lower plant height and canopy volume than WT, while PirpfF was equivalent in both traits. No symptoms of CVC and citrus canker were found in the analyzed plants. Regarding HLB symptoms, the PirpfF event showed more resistance than non-transgenic plants. The fruits from the plants under study were analyzed for mass, soluble solids, juice yield and acidity. In this analysis, the fruits from the transgenic plants showed to have characteristic similar to that of non-transgenic.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Números irracionais e suas particularidades(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Garcia, Hévila Maria Gabriel; Rezende, Alex Carlucci; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4190869482260889; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3919298779642723In this work we present the main numerical sets: natural, integers, rational, irrational and real, focusing on the set of irrational numbers. We approach its historical part, the most famous examples and the proof of their irrationalities. In addition, we deal with the concepts of transcendental and algebraic numbers. In the second part, we discuss the way that the set of irrational numbers is approached in Basic Education and, moreover, we create and apply an activity involving the numerical sets in a State School.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo numérico do uso de amortecedor magneto-reológico na redução de vibrações auto-excitadas durante torneamento(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Camargo, Guilherme de; Shiki, Sidney Bruce; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0573973677787523; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2282491813234984Chatter are self-excited vibrations that may occur during machining operations. Despite being known for more than a century, chatter is still a major limiting factor on machining operations, decreasing productivity, tool life, and part quality. This paper reviews the chatter dynamics for the turning operation and propose the use of a magnetorheological (MR) damper to reduce the undesirable effects of chatter. The MR damper is characterized by the Modified Bouc-Wen model and the results are compared using the Stability Lobe Diagram (SLD). It is shown that the MR damper can effectively suppress chatter by increasing the Limiting Depth of Cut and, therefore, the material removal rate.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Biblioanalytics: aplicação web para democratização de análises bibliométricas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Perissini, Rodrigo César; Faria, Leandro Innocentini Lopes de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0767710394930118; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2251907052134799With the industrialization of science, it came to be seen as a productive and economic source, exponentially increasing the number of publications generated by scientific research and generating a need for mechanisms to facilitate its retrieval and organization as the online information sources; and also a need for mechanisms to work with this gigantic set of data, such as bibliometric tools. The problem is that the available tools have limitations that make it difficult to democratize bibliometric analyzes, especially in the Brazilian scientific field, such as the use of only the English language; financial and/or intellectual barriers, given the need to install and configure the tool, and also because some are paid; and among others. This research aims to develop a free biliometric web application with a focus on the democratization of bibliometric analysis. For the construction of BiblioAnalytics, action research was used to collect the necessary requirements within NIT/MATERIAIS, which is a group of research and development in UFSCar, and the comparison with the VantagePoint tool, when necessary, to validate the correct functioning of some of its functionalities. Finally, after the construction of BiblioAnalytics, it could be observed that the tool works even in a free environment on the web, and manages to obtain relevant and correct results, despite limitations (such as the generation of matrices for a very large set of data), providing mechanisms that contribute to the democratization of bibliometric analyzes, which means that it can be used by a much larger group of researchers and students, given that it can be accessed even by a cell phone.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise de itens de matemática do ENEM Digital via taxonomia de Bloom(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Tamborlin, Julia Ribeiro; Piton-Gonçalves, Jean; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6280496667549925; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5139599011883871The Revised Bloom Taxonomy (RBT) allows classifying the actions necessary for the examinee to obtain a satisfactory performance in solving items through their cognitive aspects. In the scenario of Computerized Tests, ENEM Digital is a test that applies 180 items in four areas of knowledge. From the analysis and classification of 45 digital items of Mathematics and its Technologies according to the RBT, the type of knowledge required by the examinee was defined to solve these items. Results show that the test is not well distributed in the two-dimensional table of the TBR and that there is a prevalence of items that require Effective Knowledge and items that require the skill "Apply".listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O ethos discursivo como gestão da autoria: análise do objeto editorial Turma da Mônica: Romeu e Julieta (2015)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Slompo, Ana Paula; Salgado, Luciana Salazar; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5206927424265495; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2826199488822083Based on reflections on the marketing aspect of the literary field and the concept of literary space (MAINGUENEAU, 2018), we analyzed the position of the editorial object Turma da Mônica: Romeu e Julieta (2015). For this purpose, we used the concepts of medium (DEBRAY, 2000) and discursive ethos (MAINGUENEAU, 2008) within the framework of Materialist Discourse Analysis. This editorial object is an adaptation (HUTCHEON, 2011) of a well-known story with other well-known characters, which is why we use the concept of ethos for the analysis: we want to know what Monica's Gang remains in the recount of Romeo and Juliet. Furthermore, we mobilized the concept of material formalization developed by Flusser (2007), the notion of intermediality (CLUVER, 2006), and approaches to the symbology of colors from the study of Guimarães (2001). We used these concepts because the object raises several questions about the literary field, especially the publication of adaptations in comics, because of its material existence and its position in the field, as Turma da Mônica: Romeu e Julieta (2015) is an adaptation of Shakespeare's classic play Romeo and Juliet, which was very successful in different parts of the world and at various times in history, being released in the 20th century in Brazil, both in the form of a comic book (1978) and as theater (1978), film (1979) and LP (1978). We studied the 2015 edition when the comic had a reissue commemorating the 80th anniversary of the creator of the characters of Monica's Gang and author of many stories involving the gang, Mauricio de Sousa, which led us to think about authorship from the proposals of Maingueneau (2018). With the analysis, we understood how the discursive ethos acts in adaptations such as this: the effective ethos of this composition of Monica's Gang and Romeo and Juliet is paratopic, as is the text's authorship.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O uso sustentável de recursos comuns em um jogo digital(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Oliveira, Marlon Alexandre de; Rose, Julio Cesar Coelho de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3386857761295187; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6854732327669497The PhD dissertation contains three chapters in paper format The first chapter presents a theoretical article about sustainability, the use of common access resources and analytical-behavioral studies related to environmental sustainability. It aims, from a description of the concepts of sustainability and common access resources, to point out how research on promoting the use of collective goods in the experimental analysis of behavior is carried out and to discuss possible dependent variables to be investigated through digital games. The second chapter is in the format of a scientific paper and is written in English. Its content involves an experiment carried out with six children individually exposed to a digital game named Fishing Cards, in which in the first stage they captured fish by choosing cards with pictures related to fishing technologies (fishing rod, fishing boat and radar), which had different capacities to the extraction of common resources and should be used to fish in successive rounds, until completion. However, at a later stage, resources were limited and shared with virtual players. Faced with this challenge, the victorious participant played in a way that promoted the sustainability of resources and remained “alive” throughout the rounds. The experiment in the second chapter identified that the players present response patterns of sustainable use of renewable natural resources. Changes were observed in fishing speed and choices of cards with lower resource extraction capabilities to provide maintenance. Its main contribution was to demonstrate, in a digital game context, children can adopt different strategies to overcome the extinction of the commons by increasing the interval between their responses and changing the amount of extraction. Finally, the third chapter presents another scientific paper, however, unlike the previous one, it is in Portuguese. In the experiment of the third chapter, an adapted version of the digital game was used to allow remote collection in which adults and adolescents had to capture fish identically to the previous experiment, dealing with the same challenge. The results found were the absence of differences between the management of the resource by the groups of adults and adolescents, again the decrease in the pace of fishing speed and the allocation of the use of cards was an effective strategy to win the game. In general, the findings of the experiments revealed that the game Fishing Cards advances in the understanding of the conflict between the individual and immediate consequences acting in a scenario of Tragedy of the Commons, showing that individual behavior can be modeled in the long term establishes consequences of reinforcement positive for the collective good (i.e. conservation of commonly available renewable natural resources).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Manejo de plantas daninhas em sistemas orgânicos de produção(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Maximo, Caio; Forti, Victor Augusto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5742976162363922; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3404407035467625Organic agriculture has increased in recent years, accompanied by the growing concern of society with the sustainable production of safe and quality food. Among the many problems faced by organic producers, there are the losses caused by the weeds presence, which can limit the crop productivity and increase production costs. In this context, the aim of this work was to identify and analyze the main weed management methods used in organic production systems. For this, different academic materials considering books, articles and others that dealt with this theme were raised and the cultural, physical, mechanical and biological methods were analysed. The results obtained allowed the identification of several advantages and disadvantages associated with each method. Cultural methods have the advantages of greater soil cover and the possibility of increasing income in the area, in addition to pest and disease control, but they have disadvantages such as higher expenses with seeds and inputs and better need for area planning. Physical methods can be highly effective in control, but they can present high implementation costs due to the acquisition of necessary materials, equipment or technologies. Mechanical methods, on the other hand, can also present high efficiency, but they have limitations in relation to operational efficiency (manual methods) and can promote soil compaction when machinery is used. In relation to biological control, the methods have a low environmental impact, but may have high costs. These results can serve as guidance for organic producers in choosing the different practices that can be used in organic production, being of great importance the integrated use of control strategies, in order to promote sustainable agricultural development.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Curso on line em habilidades sociais para professores da pré-escola para inclusão de crianças com deficiência(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-09-27) Guimarães, Cristiane de Azevedo; Costa, Carolina Severino Lopes da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0303439637261272; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3516965117572901Pre-school is a stage of schooling in which the child experiences major changes in their development, largely due to the social interactions established in the school context between peers and adults. Therefore, it is relevant to promote and expand the knowledge of Educational Social Skills of teachers who work in preschool, thinking about the promotion of inclusive education, as they play a fundamental role as mediators of knowledge and social interactions in the classroom. Thus, the general objective of the present study was to: Develop, apply and evaluate a training program on Social Skills and Educational Social Skills for preschool teachers. And the following specific objectives: a) Evaluate the teachers' knowledge in relation to HS concepts before and after the course; b) Describe teachers' socio-emotional strategies to promote interpersonal relationships in preschool; c) Analyze the pre-school teachers' HSE repertoire before and after the course; and d) Assess the social validity of the course. Thirty preschool teachers aged between 26 and 51 from different regions of the country participated. The course had a total duration of 60 hours, offered in three months, with a weekly frequency. Topics such as Special Education and school inclusion were considered, with discussions on social attitudes towards inclusion, educational beliefs, and current affairs, as well as the Teacher's Social Educational Skills to promote interactions and intentional learning with and between children, among others. The data were obtained from the application of: Registration form; Knowledge Questionnaire on Social Skills and Educational Social Skills; Questionnaire of Educational Social Skills for inclusion in everyday situations; Homework; Reflective Digital Narratives, and Social Validity Assessment of the Course. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively from the instruments used in the collection. Data from Google Forms were organized in Excel spreadsheets to calculate the initial and final scores of the student in the evaluations before and after the course. To compare the teachers' conceptual acquisition of Social Skills, statistical analysis was performed using the t-test. The procedural data collected during the course were evaluated according to the literature by content analysis and with the support of the IraMuTeq software. The results showed acquisition in relation to the participants' concepts related to Social Skills and Social Educational Skills. From a qualitative point of view, the teachers exposed in their teaching narratives the use of emotional self-control and self-knowledge promotion strategies, as well as delimiting the assertive, empathic communication and expressing solidarity Social Skills class as important to be exercised by the teacher in promoting inclusion of children with disabilities in preschool. In the social evaluation of the course, they pointed out the interactivity of the tasks and the use of discussion forums as tools that enriched the exchanges and enabled more learning. It is concluded that the course contributed to the conceptual formation of teachers in social skills and educational social skills and their relationship with the inclusion of children with disabilities, and the proposed course offered virtually met the learning expectations and proved effective in the assessment of course participants.
