Sexism is a type of prejudice that targets groups distinguished by biological sex. It is characterized by cognitive, affective and behavioral components, which can be targets of intervention for its reduction. This work proposes a focus on the cognitive component, using the theory of counterfactual thoughts (CTs). PCs allow individuals to reflect on a particular episode that occurred, enabling changes in terms of the mental representation of these episodes that can trigger different behaviors in similar future situations. Thus, this study aims to provide reflections on sexism by making use of the theory of counterfactual thoughts through the narrative of sexist episodes experienced or witnessed by the participants, the characterization of the PCs generated, from this narrative, and the verification of changes in these thoughts after the intervention in a psychoeducational group. As expected, university students participated, who went through the stages of 1) characterization and selection of participants, 2) writing sexist narratives, 3) standardization of narratives, 4) intervention and 5) evaluation of the intervention. Steps 3 and 5 generated pre- and post-intervention measures, respectively. In addition, through content analysis, the sexist experiences narrated and the PCs generated were categorized. Finally, the proposed intervention was also evaluated by the participants.

We present a theoretical-experimental investigation of the valence state excitation of dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) and trichloromethane (CHCl3) molecules in the gas phase. The CH2Cl2 molecule was investigated using electron energy loss spectroscopy with incident beams of 100 eV. The photoabsorption spectrum (optical oscillator strength) was generated in the energy range from 5 to 21 eV by applying the Bethe-Born condition. Despite the low energy of the incident beam, essentially outside the validity regime of the first Born approximation, on which the Bethe-Born condition is based, and the low energy resolution obtained, the results are in excellent agreement with previous experimental high-resolution data reported in the 5.8–10.8 eV energy range. As far as we are aware, results above 11 eV are unprecedented. Theoretically, the processes of direct ionization of CH2Cl2 and trichloromethane CHCl3 molecules were investigated using the ePolyScat-E3 computational package. Ionization cross-section data and asymmetry parameters for the ionization of the outermost orbitals of these molecules were obtained from the ionization threshold up to 40 eV. Specifically, the ionizations of the 7b2, 3b1, 9a1, 2a2, and 6b2 orbitals for the CH2Cl2, and the 2a2, 9e, 9a1, 8e, 7e, 8a1, and 7a1 for the CHCl3 molecule, were investigated. Theoretical results indicate the contribution of various resonances to the ionization process. However, there are no previous results in the literature for comparison, and a future experimental investigation is necessary to allow validation and a detailed discussion of the theoretical data.

Negation is a sine qua non of natural languages, there is no language that does not present some way to express it in its system (HORN and WANSING, 2020). Despite being very productive and indispensable for natural languages, studies in natural language processing that involve negation is extremely recent (JIMÉNEZ-ZAFRA et al., 2020), which makes the material on this subject scarce. Therefore, this work presents an analysis of the Portuguese negative clues (não, nunca, jamais, sequer, tampouco, nada, ninguém, nenhum, sem, nem, exclusive, excluso, exceto, fora, afora, salvo, menos, senão e tirante) using the Universal Dependencies (UNIVERSAL DEPENDENCIES, 2021) methodology to increase the amount of information available of each element. The analysis consisted of a literature review of each clue and a search for them in the corpora UD Portuguese Bosque (RADEMAKER et al., 2017) and Porttinari-base (LOPES et al., 2022a) and the lexicon/lexical tool PortiLexicon-UD (LOPES et al., 2022b) as well. With the results, the morphological features and some syntactic relationships of the clues were analyzed, proposing possible corrections and optimizations in the current annotation of each corpus as proposals to improve the lexical tool. The review of negative clues is extremely important for future works that intend to perform automatic linguistic analyzes that have the detection of negation, both of scope and focus, as part of their task.

América Latina: urbanização e luta pelo direito à cidade

Several efforts were concerned about indicating paths and opportunities for the development of Latin America. As for example, the ECLAC in the 1950s and the organization of the Mercosur, in 1991. However, the continent as a whole was never able to face its structural issues. The necessary break with the hegemony of a model based on exporting commodities, defining plans for a coordinated industrialization supported by public economic policies, and investments in education and training of specialized labour, for instance, are all facts that never occurred on a sufficient scale to configure a strong development process. Issues that limit economic growth, such as chronic poverty and deep regional social inequalities, were not overcome by attempts at industrialization. The structural deficiencies of the development model, still based today on the production and export of commodities produced on large estates, which perpetuates the great imbalances on the continent, making the land issue a cross-cutting factor in the historical development of the countryside and Latin American cities. The exodus from the countryside and the rapid process of urbanization on the continent, contrary to popular belief, has little to do with the years of our industrialization processes; the high rates of urbanization are understood from the point of view of conflicts and disputes over land, first as a means of production, and then as an instrument of speculation, but always as a sign of wealth and power. The urban and social consequences of this unequal struggle are better understood and made explicit in the precariousness of the outskirts of our cities, where the poor are hidden from the eyes of the world and local elites. However, this context of segregation can lead to the emergence of cultural expressions, relevant voices, as well as powerful organized popular movements, in the struggle for the right to have rights.

Biomass is considered an underused energy source in several regions of the world, although there are optimistic market projections for the next years. Local generation of residual biomass can supply part of the energy demand in some regions of Latin America and can also be exported as pellets and briquettes. However, the environmental performance of these solid biofuels should be further investigated from the perspective of the Circular Economy (CE), mostly due to the environmental impacts associated with their exportation and the saving of virgin raw material resulting from the use of residual biomass. In this sense, this dissertation consisted of on the analysis of the environmental performance of pellets and briquettes through the combination of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with the recent Circular Footprint Formula (CFF) method, being this integration an important strategy to promote sustainable production. Eleven case studies were modeled in a cradle-to-product-distribution approach, all of them related to pellets and briquettes produced with different biomass sources in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, and their exportation to European market. The Functional Unit (FU) equivalent to 1 MJ of energy embedded in the biomass pellets and briquettes was adopted. The impacts related to the Global Warming Potential (GWP), Acidification Potential (AP), Eutrophication Potential (EP), Abiotic Depletion Potential (ADPe), Ozone Layer Depletion Potential (ODP) and Photochemical Ozone Creation Potential (POCP) by the CML method, and the Non-Renewable Cumulative Energy Demand (CED) for the FU was also calculated. The CFF allocation method was applied based on the results of LCA, and the results compared with and without the CFF use. The results pointed to the low carbon footprint of the pellets and briquettes in view of the absorption of biogenic carbon associated with the land use by the raw material sources, and because they represent residual biomass. The amount of biomass demanded by the pellets and briquettes production can avoid the emission of up to 287 g CO2-eq per MJ of generated energy. However, exporting to Europe significantly increases emissions and impacts across all impact categories analyzed, with road and sea transport stages representing important lifecycle hotspots across all eleven case studies, mostly for ADPe, AP, ODP and CED. The application the CFF revealed that this method requires some adaptations when applied in the context of pellets and briquettes, which means important practical limitations. Furthermore, the integration of CE with LCA enhances the environmental savings of residual biomass pellets and briquettes due to the avoided impacts in all the impact categories associated with the increasing circularity by avoiding virgin wood and demanding residual biomass instead.

Introduction: Childbirth is a unique and transforming event marked by hormonal and physiological changes and significant social representations. The childbirth experience has unfoldings that can directly affect the woman's health and her bond with the baby. Understanding the importance of the relationship between mother and child, its repercussions on child development and the need for constant monitoring of childbirth care practices, this study on obstetric violence is proposed. Objective: To investigate the existence of obstetric violence in labour and birth assistance and its impacts on the initial mother-baby interaction. Specific objectives: to verify whether the women know what obstetric violence is; to identify whether, during delivery, the women were submitted to inadequate procedures considered as obstetric violence; and to identify the possible impacts on the initial mother-baby interaction. Methodology: This is a quantitative, cross-sectional and correlational study. The study was conducted remotely, with forms made available via Google Forms and online interviews. For data collection, a characterization sheet and a Questionnaire on Childbirth Care, Birth and Obstetric Violence prepared by the research and the Questionnaire for Evaluation of the Postpartum Bond between Mother and Baby/PBQ - Portuguese translated version were used. Data were analyzed using simple and descriptive statistics, and later, for the correlational analysis of variables, statistical tests were used. Results: Sixty-two women, aged 18 to 38 years, primiparous and multiparous, who gave birth in public and private Brazilian maternity hospitals participated in this study. Regarding prenatal health education, 40.3% of the participants reported not having received any educational approaches among the highlighted themes. As for the delivery route, 53.2% of women had an expected delivery, and 46.8% had a cesarean section. Of the participants, 85.5% said they knew obstetric violence. As for the perception of the care received, 74.2% of the participants consider having received support and support from the team, and 48.4% consider not having experienced obstetric violence at the birth of their baby. In the treatment received by the team, 32.2% of the women experienced some verbal or psychological violence. Of the procedures performed during labour and delivery assistance, 48.3% were submitted to some obstetric procedure without their consent or explaining their need. Among the participants, 45.1% had skin-to-skin contact immediately after the baby's birth and breastfeeding in the first hour of life. At a 5% significance level, the bond between mother and baby measured by the PBQ index is different between mothers who reported having suffered obstetric violence and those who reported not having suffered, and mothers who reported not having suffered have lower values for this index, therefore, better bonding. Discussion: The results of the study show advances in childbirth care as highlighted in the literature, represented mainly by the low rates of episiotomy and Kristeller maneuver, access to non-pharmacological methods for pain relief, and primarily positive perceptions of parturients regarding the assistance received. However, weaknesses were found in health education actions during prenatal care, obstetric interventions performed without the consent or due clarification of the parturient women, and situations of psychological and verbal violence by health professionals. These findings are in dialogue with the literature regarding the challenges of incorporating humanized and respectful obstetric practices. The experience of obstetric violence brings to the woman physical and psychosocial implications, increased risks of maternal morbidity and mortality, and repercussions in the bonding with her baby. Health professionals must provide a positive experience to the woman and the dyad during labour and birth assistance. Conclusion: It is concluded that even in the face of advances, a scenario of assistance predominantly centred on the professional and not on the woman persists. The study highlights the importance of adopting respectful and evidence-based care practices, which put into question the impacts of inadequate care on maternal and child health, perinatal outcomes, morbidity and mortality, and, as evidenced, the establishment of the bond between mother and baby, a fundamental process for the child's healthy development.

From bibliographic sources of theoretical references that are based on Psychology Historical-Cultural, this work aims to understand the development of affectivity and the formation of values, as well as the mediations of school practices in this development. For Historical-Cultural Psychology, the development of the psyche is takes place in social relationships and in certain historical contexts, from the internalization of culture by the subject during social relations. As a result, it is possible to show: that the subject develops affective dimensions and internalizes values from the historical context and social life to which it is inserted, with the practice of real and concrete experiences; that the practices pedagogical practices within the school space must be well thought out and planned, since the social relations established there define for the subject the type of social life that is valued and contribute to the development of their affectivity. So we could understand the affective-cognitive formation as a dynamic unit and also the need to overcome the values that are not desired for a society democratic, just, ethical and therefore human.

This Final Paper has as its theme the #BlackLivesMatter and the #StopAsianHate social movements in a perspective through the discourses made by the South Korean group BTS on Twitter. Our main question is: how these two hashtags make sense as social movements on the Web? For this, we used as theoretical and methodological foundation articles by Eni P. Orlandi (2020) and Marie-Anne Paveau (2021) that runs out about Discourse Analysis and Digital Discourse Analysis, respectively. Our hypothesis that the hashtags propagated by a specific group is what make them social movements is reaffirmed throughout this paper through the theory that the replicability and the use of hashtags along with the displacement of those protests to the streets are the result of an intersection between pre-discourses and life experience of those who are the focus of hate crimes and violence.

In the first years of Elementary School II I discovered my passion for Biology and it guided me to the present work. The PNLD (National Didactic Book Program) allowed the distribution of textbooks to all schools registered in the plan from the early years to high school. The Program underwent a modification in 2021, adapting to the New High School and the BNCC (Base Nacional Comum Curricular) which consists of a standard that defines the contents to be addressed, defining curricula and skills that must be absorbed by students during their years of formation. Given this scenario, the present study aims to make an analysis regarding the new guidelines of the BNCC and its influence on the textbooks available for this new format of High School. From this perspective, the objective is to analyze the approach to the content of Evolution of Vertebrates, focusing on birds and dinosaurs present in the six collections available in the PNDL 2021. collections offered in the PNLD 2021 and identified as absent, present and partially present. The study presents results of a challenging scenario for the topic addressed, demonstrating a great divergence between the analyzed collections. Of which only one was present for all the indicators analyzed, the work “Matter, energy and life: An interdisciplinary approach” - Mortimer et al. (2020). Regarding the indicators of the other works, there was an oscillation between present, partially present and absent, the latter being more evident in the content that concerns the evolution of living beings, in the reptiles and birds groups, totally absent in some works.

Understanding the concept and conceptions of education and childhood in the contemporary world is essential in order to face the challenges imposed when thinking about quality education. In this work, the conceptions, practices and concepts that relate to early childhood education and welfare in the national and municipal scenario will be analyzed, having as the main reference the only daycare center in the municipality of São Sebastião da Grama, a small mountain town in the interior of São Paulo. In this context, in addition to the historical factors that we have covered in both spheres, we will analyze welfare actions, the foundation of the municipality, the origin of rural education, urbanization, philanthropy, the first daycare center under the responsibility of the public power, relating political, economic biases, social, cultural and pedagogical. These paths permeate and intersect with all these factors that sometimes intertwine and sometimes distance themselves from what we experience at the national and municipal levels. In this work, we seek to bring to light historical factors that are linked to public policies that determine the laws, regulations and references of early childhood education, initially in their philanthropic care linked to the work of parents and later to the daycare service guaranteeing the child’s rights. In this path, bibliographic references, primary documents and interviews were analyzed that shed light on the paths that education took in Brazil and especially in the municipality, presented in the context of childhood and the care of children of daycare age, since the foundation of the aforementioned municipality to the present day, reflecting on historical factors in the education of young children, public policies, legislation, regulations, investments, and how all these indicators influence and determine education and care for children in daycare centers.

The transformation of natural systems into agricultural systems tends to cause damage to soil quality due to the forms of management used for cultivation, thus causing soil degradation and productive potential loss provided by it, which leads to crop productivity losses. Strategies to monitor soil quality and mitigate degradation caused by management systems are important. Therefore, soil quality indices are tools that help in decision making. With this in mind, the present work aims to evaluate the quality of the soil cultivated with sugarcane at the Center for Agricultural Sciences of the Federal University of São Carlos (CCA - UFSCar) through two quantitative and visual soil quality indices (IQS), which were based on physical, chemical and morphological data obtained for each block of the campus. For the evaluation, different land uses (forest, Environmental Protection Area (APA) and sugarcane (CA)) and soil classes (Latossolo Vermelho, Nitossolo Vermelho and Argissolo Vermelho) were considered. The IQS Quantitative was obtained based on the following indicators: organic matter, texture, CTC, hydraulic conductivity, phosphorus, potassium, aluminum saturation and pH, while for the IQS Visual the following indicators were considered: color, structure, consistency, presence of root and biological channels. Both indices sought to reflect the soil's ability to provide better conditions for plant growth. Weights and scores were then assigned to each indicator according to plant growth potential. Finally, the scores of the indicators were applied to an equation that provides the final index. From the classification obtained in each index, it was possible to verify that the forest land use obtained the best score for the two evaluated indices, which is the only point of correlation between them, since each index had a different ranking of the land uses. Soil class was also not a determining factor for soil performance, as soils of the same class did not have indices with approximate values. For IQS areas that have limitations, conservation practices such as level planting, green manuring and no-till are recommended in order to ensure greater soil and water conservation.

With the growing concern about climate change and the urgent need to seek sustainable development, environmentally sustainable and responsible business practices have become increasingly present in the strategic and operational activities of corporations. Sustainability is increasingly highlighted as a decisive factor for decision-making, and, in the corporate universe, a concept that has been gaining prominence is that of responsible investment, which is supported by three pillars: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). The Global Real State Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) was launched in 2009 as a way of evaluating the behavior of real estate investment funds in relation to the management of their assets in the face of ESG issues, making it possible to compare the ESG performance of the asset portfolio of different funds and providing standardized and validated data for the capital market. In the present internship, we carried out the collection of data and the preparation of the necessary documentation for the submission of several reports for evaluation by the GRESB. The experience was important to enable direct experience in the area of corporate environmental management, enabling training in new topics related to sustainability, as well as a critical assessment of this topic in the Environmental Management and Analysis course.

In the search for an expansion framework for citrus farming in relation to table varieties, citrus breeding programs have been developing new varieties of tangerines. Among them is the IAC 2019Maria mandarin, developed by Centro de Citricultura Sylvio Moreira/IAC, which is an F1 hybrid from a controlled cross between Murcott tangor [Citrus reticulata x C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck] (female parent) and Pera sweet orange [C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck] (male parent). With this, the objective was to analyze the initial development of IAC 2019Maria mandarin grafted on different rootstocks and planting spacings. The experiments were carried out at the Agricultural Sciences Center of the Federal University of São Carlos, in Araras/SP. IAC 2019Maria mandarin plants were grafted on Rangpur lime (C. limonia Osbeck), Swingle citrumelo [C. paradisi Macfad. cv. Duncan x Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf.] and in TSxPT 14 and TSxPT 70 citrandarins [C. sunki (Hayata) hort. ex Tanaka x P. trifoliata cv. Rubidoux (L.) Raf.] with the planting of the orchard carried out in February 2018 in the following spacings: 2.0 x 6.0; 2.5 x 6.0 and 3.0 x 6.0 m. After three years of implantation of the orchard, no interference of the different spacings was observed in the initial vegetative development of the tangerine plants IAC 2019Maria. Regarding the rootstocks, significant differences were observed for the variables height, diameter, canopy volume and drought resistance. For plant height, diameter and canopy volume, it was observed that the TSxPT 14 citrandarin rootstock presented the lowest values, 1.41 m, 1.18 m and 1.07 m3, respectively, differing from the other rootstocks. grafts evaluated and being considered of low vigor with dwarfing power. The TSxPT 14 citrandarin was the most susceptible to drought and IAC 2019Maria mandarin showed initial symptoms of incompatibility with TSxPT 14 citrandarin.

It was thus revealed that linguistic prejudice is connected to a large extent to the ignorance of linguistic science, but manifestations aligned with the negation of this science stand out in the research. This work is based on the studies by Bagno (2015) and Scherre (2005) on linguistic prejudice, and on approaches with emphasis on sociolinguistics through the work of Alckmin (2012), Coelho et. al (2015), Mollica and Braga (2013), among others.

The child establishes relationships with other human beings and with the environment from birth and expands their communication through different types of languages. Supported by the contributions of the Historical-Cultural Theory, this research aimed to investigate the teachers' perspective in conducting the transition process based on child development and the acquisition of written language, considering the symbolic function that is so important in the complex process of historical development. and cultural impact of written language acquisition in preschool children. I also sought knowledge of how the process of formation of higher psychic functions occurs in child development. Through scholars such as Vygotsky , Luria and contemporary authors who focus on child development and the prehistory of writing in the light of this same foundation, I theoretically explored research on human development and the role of school in the child's evolution, thinking and language in the movement of reflection and its interrelations, the process of acquisition of oral and written language, ending with the word in the interaction between thought and language as a means of human communication. The investigation is methodologically supported by qualitative research, of an applied, descriptive and exploratory nature, with the use of field research. Data generation was performed in two stages. The first, with 11 teachers from the first year of Elementary School, selected the semi-structured interview, carried out in person and following the security protocols required in the Covid19 pandemic, but also by the technological support Google Meet, when face-to-face contact was not possible. The second stage, as a complement to the data, was given a questionnaire to three teachers who teach both in Early Childhood Education and in Elementary School, confronting perceptions about what is being researched. The data generated, both in the interviews and in the questionnaire, were analyzed and interpreted through tables and descriptive texts, based on the Content Analysis method (BARDIN, 2011) and the results show that playfulness and games are present in the planning of the activities. teachers, the articulation of theory with pedagogical action still does not happen effectively, the differentiated look at work with verbal and non-verbal language, and also, the investment in continued education, in the urgency of strategies to change perspectives and posture in the process of transition between the stages of basic education, in the adaptation of a new routine, involving the entire school team. The importance of the Common Curriculum as a guiding thread is evident, considering that teachers still signal literacy in Early Childhood Education and the contradictions of writing assessment in the face of the Historical-Cultural Theory. In addition, school education provides stimulating educational activities to promote the advancement of children's language, including written language.

The present research was based on the importance of working Astronomy in Art classes for students in the early years of elementary school, in an interdisciplinary proposal to use the language of Art, music, as a motivating element for the acquisition of astronomical knowledge. The present study aims to develop a didactic sequence that enables the learning of astronomical content, from an educational practice that allows a union between Art and Astronomy. The work was developed with students enrolled in the early years of elementary school, in the city of Rio Claro - SP, with the suggestion of producing a pedagogical proposal explored in art classes. The purpose of promoting the acquisition of astronomical concepts from the analysis of the lyrics of a Brazilian popular song, has the intention of a more attractive and significant teaching proposal for the students, verifying if they materialize the idea and the concept that was transmitted. The methodology employed in this research is classified as qualitative in nature, with an experimental research design, without a control group. Through discussions in the classroom, with the use of the records, a satisfactory result of the research was evidenced, and it became evident that several participants of the research acquired and broadened their knowledge of astronomy through the research intervention.

Mentha piperita L. (Peppermint) is a European hybrid originated from the crossing of M. spicata x M. aquatica. The plants of this species are propagated by cuttings and used for medicinal purposes, food and cosmetics. Its use is associated with the presence of essential oils rich in menthol, produced in the leaves, branches and inflorescences. The objective of this work was to carry through the agronomic characterization of accessions of M. piperita L. of the germoplasm bank of the Federal University of São Carlos and to analyze its culture in hydroponic system through cuttings produced by woody type. The experimental design used was complete randomized blocks in factorial scheme with three repetitions, the data analysis was of variance using the Sisvar® program (Ferreira, 1999) and the means were compared by the Tukey test at 5% probability. During the first stage of the experiment, agronomic characteristics of 31 accessions were evaluated, such as: plant height and diameter, width and length of the leaf lamina, number of primary branches, length of the branches with inflorescence, anthocyanin content, percentage of pubescence and flowering period. There was great variation in these characteristics among the accessions, especially for the flowering period. Those with late flowering were considered ideal for cultivation of economic interest in the extraction of essential oils considering also the agronomic characteristics related to the percentage of anthocyanin, presence of pubescence and number of tillers that together showed satisfactory results in the production of essential oils. In the second phase in hydroponic cultivation system, analyzing agronomic characteristics of the same accessions the results were satisfactory in relation to the production of fresh biomass of the aerial part and of the roots, that contributed for the presence of plants with high concentration of tillers being such important characteristics when the whole plant is used for commercialization. The mortality rate of the plants was null. Thus, there are new accessions with great potential to enter the industrial and consumer market with high capacity to obtain extraction of essential oils.
