listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Correlação da funcionalidade familiar e sobrecarga de cuidadores informais de idosos hospitalizados(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Arruda, Marcos Soares de; Santos-Orlandi, Ariene Angelini dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1334146454214813; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9389514387814510Introduction: Chronic noncommunicable diseases often affect older adults, who may experience decompensation and hospitalizations. Given the high prevalence of these diseases and increased longevity, many older people may have functional limitations and need a caregiver. However, family caregivers are not always able to develop the task of caring, which may lead to burden and family dysfunction, variables that can influence the quality of care provided. Therefore, early identification of these aspects is essential for planning interventions to improve the quality of life of these individuals. Aim: to analyze the relationship between family functionality and burden of informal caregivers of hospitalized older people. Methods: this is a cross-sectional study conducted with 98 informal caregivers of hospitalized older people in an inpatient unit of a large hospital in São Carlos, São Paulo. For data collection were used questionnaires to sociodemographic and care context characterization, to evaluate burden and family functionality. Descriptive analyzes and Spearman’s correlation coefficient were used. Results: female caregivers predominated, who took care of their parents and had no training. Approximately 59.8% of caregivers had good family functionality and 49.5% scored for mild to moderate burden. There was a negative correlation, moderate magnitude, between family functionality and burden (p<0,001). The higher the burden score, the lower the family functionality score and vice versa. Conclusion: caregivers with high burden had worse family functionality. Therefore, nurses need to identify such conditions early and implement assertive interventions so that the family functions as a therapeutic resource.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modificação de semicondutores de Sb2Se3 com co-catalisadores de MoSx e Pt para a produção de hidrogênio verde via water splitting solar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Costa, Magno Barcelos; Mascaro, Lucia Helena; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9130022476352844; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2725856250417886Sb2Se3 semiconductors have been shown to be excellent photocathodes with attractive optoelectronic properties when compared to other photoabsorbers commonly used. However, its photocorrosion in aqueous media prevents it from reaching satisfactory rates of photoelectrochemical (PEC) conversion and requires further modifications to make its use viable. In the present work, two co-catalysts are investigated separately to verify their influence during PEC experiments, these being MoSx and Pt. MoSx was deposited with different deposition cycles and showed a photocurrent density (jph) between −0.6 and −5.7 mA cm−2 at −0.2 VRHE, that is, a maximum value of ~70× greater than the non-modified film. The result showed that the lower the number of cycles, the greater its photoresponse, since the effect of parasitic light absorption was present. In addition, there was a reduction in the number of charge carrier recombination in the surface states in the presence of MoSx. Pt deposition was performed by electrodeposition (ED) and photoelectrodeposition (FED). The FED method resulted in superior performance compared to that in the absence of light, reaching a value 3× higher than the ED method, i.e., a jph value of −1.4 mA cm−2 at 0 VRHE. This result was related to the greater number of Pt particles distributed on the semiconductor surface due to the increase in available sites for Pt deposition. In short, the presence of both co-catalysts was essential for Sb2Se3-based semiconductors to achieve considerable results and allow their use as a promising alternative in solar water splitting. While MoSx needed to be in a strongly acidic medium and at −0.2 VRHE, Pt proved to be a more energetically favorable and eco-friendly alternative (i.e., at 0 VRHE and at pH 6.5).listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A evolução das políticas públicas no Brasil no período 1990-2020: o que elas garantem para pessoas com NEE e/ou deficiência?(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Prado, Isabelli Tesser; Lozano, Daniele; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6775248941851933; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6183592604067595Education is an institutionalized social practice, which the State has the duty to guarantee and promote its management. In this way, it is necessary to understand that it is part of a system – capitalism – and therefore undergoes changes according to the need to maintain this system, the economic and ideological interests of the ruling class. The changes that are promoted in the educational system occur through social policies, which have the function of organizing rights and duties of the subjects inserted there. Inclusion is part of these social promotion policies, aiming to alleviate inequalities, whether those arising from some type of disability, or due to the need for historical retraction, in order to make them actively part of society. However, the ways in which it occurs perversely include people with special educational needs, as it guarantees access and basic conditions in line with the law, but not effective permanence. That way, our objective is to analyze what was produced from public policies in the period from 1990 to 2020, in the Brazilian educational system at the federal level, in order to understand whether these regulations guarantee what is proposed in a more humanizing and inclusive education, as well as their intentions when actually applied. This work is intended to result not only in an analysis of these laws from a Marxist perspective, but also with the intention of producing a survey of legal formulations at the federal level for further consultation.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, As dificuldades encontradas pelos profissionais de saúde na implantação e execução dos Testes Diagnósticos Rápidos na atenção primária a saúde: uma revisão integrativa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Guará, Andrea Chaves Malaman; Souto, Bernardino Geraldo Alves; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7264826508407685; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4083-3050; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3121151172778655; https://orcid.org/0009-0006-8588-8679The use of rapid diagnostic testing (RDT) in primary health care (PHC) is one of the strategies of the Brazil's Ministry of Health to make it easier for people to access to timely diagnosis of some diseases of interest to individual and collective health, such as infections by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B and C virus, bacillus that causes syphilis, SARS- Cov- 2 and others. RDT are immunochromatographic assays that allow quickly detection of the presence of antigen or antibody in the specimen tested. Its have the advantage of being easy to store and transport for collect in the field, without need of sophisticated techniques or reagents of difficult preservation. Thus, is not necessary complex laboratory structure for its execution, reading and interpretation. Its realization delay up to 30 minutes, considering all steps, what collaborates to reduce the overhead of central laboratories. It is hypothesized that PHC faces difficulties in incorporating this technology into the routine of services due to various contingencies. Objective: To describe the difficulties of PHC professionals in relation to the decentralization and implementation of RDT. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review carried out from March 2021 to July 2022. The data search was performed online on the SCIELO, PubMed, Google Scholar and virtual health library (VHL) data platforms. Because “quick test” is not a descriptor, we choset o search with words that, when associated, could refer to “rapid test”. (HIV; Human Viral Hepatitis; Syphilis serology; acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) serology; serological tests, sexually transmitted diseases). This dissertation is the conclusion work of a professional master course, through which it was possible to elaborate a training proposal for the application of rapid tests in PHC. Results: 2,200 publications were found: 70 were duplicates and 579 were excluded; 21 were used in this integrative review. Conclusion: The process of decentralization of rapid testing in PHC is in progress and occurs unevenly in units across the country. Thus, among the difficulties encountered by health professionals, the lack of adequate environment and materials, deficiency in team training, insecurity of professionals in carrying out rapid tests in the delivery of results and work overload. Health professionals who work in PHC, in the process of decentralization and implementation of rapid tests, have similar opinions regarding this process, they know the importance of testing in the direct improvement of the population's health, they believe in a new model of health care, however, they report the difficulties mentioned above.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Capacitação online e construção e validação de vídeos educativos: cuidados e manutenção do cateter venoso central de curta permanência em pacientes adultos críticos para a equipe de enfermagem(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Gorla, Bruna Caroline; Girão, Fernanda Berchelli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9999840170649511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7969219383338294Objectives: to assess the nursing team's knowledge before and after an online educational intervention and to build and validate scripts and storyboards for the production of educational videos, in digital format, on the care and maintenance of the short-stay central venous catheter in critically ill adults. Method: The study was divided into two phases. The first was a quasi-experimental study of the pre and post type developed with the nursing team of a University Hospital where a knowledge test form was applied before and after an educational intervention in the form of online training. In the second phase, a methodological study of quantitative approach was developed for the construction of educational videos, developed in three stages: development of scripts and storyboards, validation and production of educational videos. The development of the scripts and storyboards was based on bundles founded on good practices based on scientific evidence. For the validation of the scripts and storyboards, instruments for the evaluation of agreement were used, carried out by a committee of judges selected according to Fehring's criteria. Agreement value equal to or greater than 0.80 was considered, calculated using the Content Validity Index (CVI). Results: Regarding the first phase of the research, 21 nurses and 20 nursing technicians participated, totaling 41 participants. A descriptive analysis was conducted, considering the total score, that is, the hits achieved in the questionnaire, with all participants and for the professional categories participating in the research (nurses and nursing technicians) in the pre- and post-intervention moment, where an increase in the mean of hits was evidenced, as well as a reduction in variance in the post-intervention moment. A total of 30 participants increased their scores, that is, 73.2% of the sample showed a better performance on the questionnaire. In the second phase, the validation process occurred in only one step of the Delphi Technique, and the judges committee was composed of 11 (100%) participants, 9 subject matter expert judges, and 2 technical experts in video. The level of agreement between the video and theme expert judges obtained a CVI of 1.0. The descriptive suggestions made by the judges were analyzed, and, when appropriate, were acted upon. Thus, three scripts and storyboards resulted from this process. Subsequently, the videos were recorded in a simulated environment, edited, and made available for professional education in a Federal Public University Hospital. Conclusion: The educational intervention performed with the nursing team demonstrated an improvement in the questionnaire score at the post-intervention moment. The educational videos were made available after the judges participated in all stages, ensuring the theoretical and practical relevance of the result. It is believed that the results of this study allow the development of other strategies for the development and evaluation of the knowledge of the nursing team on the subject addressed, and it is expected that the health institution will use the material constructed and validated for the educational practice of the nursing team.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Percepções de estudantes de enfermagem sobre o uso da simulação clínica para o ensino e aprendizagem na prevenção, avaliação e tratamento em lesão por pressão(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Rocha, Liandra Aparecido Cezario; Girão, Fernanda Berchelli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9999840170649511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5153607172881602Objective: To characterize the knowledge of nursing students before and after expository and dialogued training and the participation, evaluating the implications of clinical simulation on self -confidence and satisfaction of participants after simulated experiences. Method: Methodological study, developed in two steps with use simulated clinical scenarios built through the Fabric Referential and Recommended Practices of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning. The selection of the judges followed the criteria of Fehring and Snowball Technique, the collection of data occurred in two steps as Delphi. The analysis of the results considered the level of agreement 0.80. Results: Two scenarios were validated resulting in scale-level content Validity Index Global greater than 0.80; Both make up items on the prior knowledge of the apprentice, general objective and specific learning, theoretical foundation, responsible, complexity, documentation, briefing, theme, human and material resources, target audience, Team training, debriefing and evaluation. The analysis of the results in the second stage occurred in two moments, the first with the statistical analysis of the results from the scales and a descriptive analysis of student responses during telessimulation. In the first moment, a descriptive analysis was performed considering the PIEPER Knowledge Test before and after educational intervention. To identify if the average pre and post-intervention points were statistically different, it was considered the signaled classification test of Wilcoxon (1945). After the analysis of the knowledge presented by the participants before and after the intervention, specific evaluations were made about the intervention it self applied, using scales: simulation design scale (EDS) and satisfaction scale of students and self -confidence with learning (ESEAA). Conclusions: Scenarios simulated were validated for the teaching and learning of nursing students, to Evaluate and treat pressure injury in the hospital and home context. The educational strategy of telessimulation used in this study allowed the comparative evaluation of the perceptions of students in prevention, evaluation and treatment in pressure injury, characterizing the level of knowledge in pre and post educational intervention.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise do comportamento mecânico e estudo do efeito de maclação mecânica do aço 316 LV sob estados de tração e compressão(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Corrêa, Leonardo Muthi; Sordi, Vitor Luiz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8364164402481940; Kliauga, Andrea Madeira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3527528295399928; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0012189150460362The design of new steels with high yield, ultimate strength and good ductility is one of the desirable goals of the industry. The ultra-high strength steels with twin induced plasticity (TWIP) effect are used in applications that demand high ultimate strength, tenacity and use at cryogenic temperatures. Nevertheless, the knowledge of the mechanical behavior of this class of materials under different load conditions is still an object of research. Austenitic stainless steels attend to this classification. In this work the mechanical behavior of a 316LV austenitic stainless steel was evaluated in tension and compression at different temperatures (-100 a 300 ºC) and strain rate of 10-3. The results of the mechanical tests were correlated to the microstructural transformations through evaluation by optical microscopy, x-ray diffraction and electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) maps. The influence of temperature and strain rate on the mechanical twinning mechanism was analyzed. Based on the results, it was possible to propose a constitutive model proposed to predict the mechanical behaviorlistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Cuidados com Cateter Venoso Central de curta permanência nos setores de paciente crítico pela equipe de enfermagem: construção e validação de material educativo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Castro, Leticia de Oliveira; Girão, Fernanda Berchelli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9999840170649511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2864785246158756Objective: To build and validate an educational material on nursing care in maintaining and manipulating the short -stay central venous catheter in adult patients in critical care sectors. Method: Methodological, transverse study, with quantitative approach. The study was conducted at the Brotherhood Institution of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of São Carlos, Philanthropic Hospital, in the city of São Carlos, located in the interior of the state of São Paulo. To achieve the established objectives, the study was conducted in steps: Step 1: Construction of educational material on maintenance and manipulation care with the short -term central venous catheter during assistance from adult patients in critical care sectors; Step 2: Process of Validation of Educational Material by Experts in The theme and Step 3: Submission of educational material to health professionals working in critical sectors of the institution. RESULTS: During step 1, the construction of educational material was performed on maintenance and manipulation care with the Short Permanence Central Venous Catheter. This material was built on the Canva® platform in its free version. 19 slides were built (including references). In step 2, there was the validation of educational material by theme experts. At first, an email invitation was sent to the key expert, with the link to sign the TCL, fill out the biographical and professional characterization form, to validate the material, and to indicate other possible experts according to the method described above, all through Google Forms®. In total, 20 invitation emails were sent, of which 8 answers were obtained. The validation of the material occurred from the SAM framework, with the application of the Delphi technique in a single step and after, the evaluation of the calculation of the IVC. All material items obtained satisfactory IVC (> 0.80), however, there were some descriptive suggestions that after the analysis of the authors were accepted. CONCLUSION: Since ICSRC are still seen as a major challenge in the sectors of critical patients, and that the nursing team, because it is more proximally to the patient and their devices, the purpose of the present study of creating and validating a material Educational on maintenance and manipulation of the central venous catheter has been reached. From the results obtained it was possible to identify measures considered essential for the prevention of IRAs, as well as the importance of hand hygiene, the exchange of dressings at the appropriate times, the importance of protocols and bundles for the insertion, stabilization and maintenance of catheters, And finally, the constant need to update and train the health team from permanent education strategies, using alternative pathways, such as remote teaching strategies, due to the present context of pandemic. The material created is expected to bring positive contributions to team knowledge and generate positive impacts on the institution's infections index. Still, it is worth mentioning the importance and the need for new studies on the creation of educational materials for the nursing staff, especially in the infections prevention.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Cuidado materno domiciliar às crianças prematuras e/ou de baixo peso nascidas durante a pandemia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Petruccelli, Gabriele; Wernet, Monika; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6056127658896265; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3714701063177131The study aimed to elucidate the maternal care of preterm and/or low birth weight children at home during the coronavirus pandemic. This is a qualitative study, supported by Symbolic Interactionism, developed in a philanthropic maternity hospital in a city in the interior of São Paulo. Data collection took place from March of September 2021. Ten women, mothers of premature and/or low birth weight children, were interviewed. The Thematic Analysis guided the appreciation of the data. Among the findings, reflections and behaviors were present, in the centrality of care, in order to protect the child from contamination by SARS-CoV-2. The themes “Living with uncertainties during pregnancy, childbirth and birth”, “Social interactions promoting reflections on the chances of contamination”, “Efforts to control the chances of contamination” and “Protection immersed in fears” emerged during the data analysis. It was concluded that the establishment of child care was governed by the fear of contamination by the coronavirus. Thus, it was evident that it is up to the nurse, both in hospital care and in primary care, to support the mother of a child born at risk and to structure their care considering the particularities of the insertion context. Specifically, in the Covid-19 pandemic, the child's susceptibility to infections and a scenario prone to the transmission of the coronavirus, are put in relation.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Formação de professores na escola: a atuação da gestão escolar para a profissionalização docente(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Pedroso, Margareth; Gama, Renata Prenstteter; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4153572041829838; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0720443856842658This research has as its theme the training of teachers at school, school management and teacher professionalization, and assumes that teacher training at school is essential for the professional development of teachers and that school management has a preponderant role in the organization of training processes with with a view to professionalization. The research was mobilized by the following question: what elements of school management performance enable the training of teachers with a view to teaching professionalization? As a general objective, it was intended to understand, from the perspective of professionalization, how school management organizes the formative processes that occur at school. In order to organize the research, this central objective was subdivided into four specific objectives, namely: a) to verify, in the legislation and guiding documents of the municipal teaching network of Sorocaba, evidence of teacher training aimed at teaching professionalization; b) understand the teacher training movements at school aimed at teaching professional development; c) identify and analyze the announced formative processes that occur in the times and spaces of the school and d) identify and analyze declared elements of the performance of the school management related to the development of formative actions that aim at the professionalization of teachers in the municipal teaching network of Sorocaba. We dialogued with different literature sources to deal with training at school, teacher professional development, professionalism and professionalization and to reflect on school management in relation to training at school and teacher professionalization. The research was qualitative, using a questionnaire and an interview to produce data, in addition to document analysis. We build the analysis steps based on content analysis. The research scenario is located in the municipal education network of Sorocaba, with the teachers and management teams of elementary schools in this network as participants and collaborators. The final results sought to compose a dialogical reflection between the analysis of the research corpus and the theoretical framework that supported it. It was possible to verify that: a) the legal and guiding documents of the municipal education network compel the carrying out of continuous training of its professionals, through reflective and participatory training processes; b) in the analyzed universe, it is noticed that there are actions of organization of times and training spaces by the management team of the school that can enable the teaching professionalization; c) the conception of teacher education directly influences the organization of training times and spaces at the school; d) the conscious participation of teachers in the school's training processes, from their preparation to evaluation, enables the development of teaching professionalism and professionalization and f) the performance of school management has a preponderant role in the training of school teachers for the development of teaching professionalism.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Conhecimento materno sobre a obstrução de vias aéreas por corpo estranho: estudo quase experimental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Freitas, Larissa Bono de; Eduardo, Aline Helena Appoloni; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9804415222026713; Okido, Aline Cristiane Cavicchioli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4358128584478380; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3241830511628907Objective: to analyze the knowledge of mothers of children younger than 12 months of age about airway obstruction by a foreign body before and after an educational intervention mediated by telesimulation. Method: this is a quasi-experimental pre- and post-test study. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telesimulation was adopted as an educational intervention through the free online communication platform Google Hangouts®. Data collection was organized into four stages: pre-test, telesimulation, immediate and late post-test. In the telesimulation, the video referring to the development of the simulated scenario was transmitted. After the transmission of the video, the debriefing process was conducted, at which time there was a discussion about the perceptions about the watched video in order to emerge reflections and enable the joint construction of knowledge. The other stages of the research were based on the application of two instruments converted to an online format: a socio-demographic characterization instrument and a knowledge assessment questionnaire, previously validated in terms of appearance and content. Data were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics. Results: 49 mothers with a mean age of 30.2 years and children with a mean age of 3.95 months participated. A significant difference was observed in the knowledge score between the three assessments (p<0.001), indicating an increase in knowledge after the intervention. The following relations remained statistically significant in the multivariate linear regression model: previous knowledge and experience of choking (p=0.012); promotion of immediate knowledge with choking another child (p=0.040) and schooling (p=0.006); promotion of late knowledge with occupation (p=0.012) and choking another child (p=0.011). Conclusion: there was a significant improvement in knowledge about airway obstruction by a foreign body after an educational intervention. These results can support the planning of future educational actions in order to reduce infant mortality rates from external causes.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Percepções dos enfermeiros sobre advocacia em saúde em pacientes hospitalizados: revisão integrativa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-11-23) Savassi, Daniel Goulart; Fumincelli, Laís; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9372589851606243Objective: to identify and analyze the scientific evidence on health advocacy in the perception of patients and nurses in the hospital environment. Research assists in the action’s formulation, and support decision-making. This study aimed to evaluate the association between socioeconomic/environmental variables and waterborne diseases in two hydrographic basins inserted in the midwest of the São Paulo State, Brazil. This is an epidemiological-ecological study, focusing on the association between socioeconomic/environmental with the number of hospitalizations related to cholera and diarrhea/gastroenteritis of presumed infectious origin, in the Medium-Tietê Water Resources Management Unit (WRMU 10) and Piracicaba/Capivari/Jundiaí (WRMU 5), between 2012 and 2019. Information was collected from Environmental Company of the São Paulo State (CETESB) reports, the Information System on Notification Problems (SINAN) and the State Statistical Data Analysis System Foundation (SEADE). It was analyzed that: the number of hospitalizations, the days of hospital stay, the total amount spent, deaths, average income (R$) of the municipalities, urban population, sewage collection (%), sewage treatment (%), remaining polluting load (kg of Biochemical Oxygen Demand/day), percentage distribution of the categories of the Water Quality Index – WQI, and the Indicator of Sewage Collection and Treatment of the Urban Population of municipality (ICTEM). Pearson's correlation (p-value: 0.05) and a Principal Component Analysis (PCA) were performed in language R. The units showed population growth in the evaluated interval, the average individual income ranged between R$ 2,600.00 and R$ 3,070.00. Sewage treatment (%), the remaining polluting load, ICETEM presented stability over the period, except for improvements in ICETEM and sewage treatment (%) in WRMU 10. Cholera caused 164 hospitalizations in the units, 624 days of hospital stay, R$ 63,595.42 spent on hospitalizations and nine deaths, the incidence was less than 1 per 100,000 inhabitants. Diarrhea/gastroenteritis of presumed infectious origin resulted in an expenditure of R$ 3,827,238.58 on hospitalizations, 26,653 days of hospital stay and 125 deaths, in addition to an incidence rate ranging from 8-31 per 100,000 inhabitants. Positive relationships (p-value: 0.05) were observed between remaining polluting load and cholera hospitalizations; and the percentage of the WQI indicative of the regular category with hospitalizations due to cholera. Negative relationships (p-value: 0.05) include sewage collection and remaining polluting load; percentage of optimal category of WQI and deaths from cholera; ICETEM and remaining polluting load; sewage collection (%) and hospitalizations for diarrhea/gastroenteritis of presumed infectious origin. The PCA explained approximately 67% of the data variation and demonstrated an association between urban population, occurrence of hospitalizations for diarrhea and WQI (percentage of poor category), in addition to an opposite association between WQI (percentage of optimal category), ICETEM and sewage treatment (%) with hospitalizations/deaths from cholera. This study showed that WRMU 10 had a higher incidence of diarrhea/gastroenteritis of presumed infectious origin compared to WRMU 5, while in the case of cholera the situation is reversed. The findings contribute to epidemiological surveillance of the evaluated diseases.
