listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Harmonia entre a OBMEP e a resolução de problemas nos anos finais do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-06) Pereira, Brenda Vaz; Salvador, José Antonio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2487171069472158; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9077714845069638This paper reports a professional experience with students from the final years of elementary school who were part of a study group in which questions from previous OBMEP tests were used for the teaching and learning of mathematics, through the use of the problem-solving methodology proposed by POLYA (2006) and ONUCHIC (2012), with remote encounters, due to the pandemic period of COVID-19 and face-to-face. After the return of classes in the school units, a joint work was developed between teachers and students from 6th grade to 9th grade in order to rescue the teaching of mathematics and prepare students for the realization of OBMEP 2021. It had an analytical and methodical view at the development of activities from the elaboration of lists in which the selected questions were allusive to the skills of BNCC and the Paulista Curriculum, according to the school time in which the students were enrolled. This work presents the improvement in the personal and social performances of students in the school and family environments, considering that the family was a fundamental agent in the development and constancy of the project and the evolution in the group's personal and collective studies and achievements.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Involuções fixando somas conexas de espaços projetivos e melhorias para o Five Halves Theorem quando Fix(T ) = F n ∪ F j(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-06) Moura, Larissa; Pergher, Pedro Luiz Queiroz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3328545959112090; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8893284640264727Let M m be a closed and smooth m-dimensional manifold, and T : M m → M m a smooth involution, that is, a period 2 diffeomorphism defined on M m . It is well known the fact that the fixed point set of T , F = {x ∈ M m |T (x) = x}, is a finite and disjoint union of closed smooth submanifolds, whose dimensions can vary from 0 to m. We write F = ∪ni=0 F i , n ≤ m, where F i denotes the disjoint union of the i-dimensional components of F. The famous Five Halves Theorem of J. Boardman assures that, if the pair (M m , T ) does not bound equivariantly, then we have m ≤ 52 n, and with this level of generality, this bound is best possible. This result motivated P. Pergher to introduce, in the literature, the following type of question: is it possible to improve the Boardman’s bound by imposing the omission of some dimensions of F? In this work, our first objective is obtaining a result of this type, specifically the case where F has the form F n ∪ F j , 0 ≤ j < n, and with F n ∪ F j not being a boundary. There are several results of this nature in the literature, as will be detailed in the Introduction in historical and chronological terms. The second goal of this work lives in the context of classifying, up to equivariant cobordism, involutions (M, T ) whose fixed point set is a pre-selected manifold (or a disjoint union of manifolds) F. This line of problems is well-established in the literature, see in the Introduction references with several correlated results. Specifically, in this work we will address the case in which F is a connected sum of two projectives spaces real, complex and quaternionic, F = Kd P(n)#Kd P(n), with n odd, where d = 1, 2 and respectively symbolize the real, complex and quaternionic cases. Again, the relationship of this case with existing cases in the literature will be described in the Introduction.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, História da educação como sub-campo: um estudo bibliométrico e epistemológico dos grupos de pesquisa da Região Centro-Oeste do Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-06) Pereira, Susy dos Santos; Hayashi, Carlos Roberto Massao; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9136586124586219; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1481-5545; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9206838645458116; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3090-5180The study mapped 278 scientific articles by the 41 leaders of the 24 groups that organized themselves under the line of investigation of the history of education in the central-west re-gion of Brazil. The purpose of the research was to verify how these researchers' choices about the scientific objects were established and how the epistemological assumptions of the works were established. For the methodological procedure, quantitative and qualitative analyzes were used, anchored in the critical design of the epistemological, gnosiological and ontological presuppositions of Gamboa (1987, 2008) and under the critical gaze of Bourdieu (1998) who reflected in his studies on the hierarchical theory of scientific objects, connected these theories instrumentalized scientific metrics, thus allowing to reflect and evaluate the production of leaders who were predisposed to produce scientifically. Preliminarily, the research groups indexed from the CNPq directory of the central-west region were surveyed, later, the organization of the organic structure was observed, then the curriculum lattes platform was used to collect scientific publications and from there, the bibliometric analysis was carried out, building citation indexes and study of the use of keywords, then you can relate these cat-egories with the analysis of the text demonstrating which identity was formed with the critical domain of the historiographical school of the New Cultural History. This school used strate-gies of dominance and symbolic projection, carrying out the advertising of itself, it was found that this not only happened in the center-west region of Brazil, but it is configured as a reflec-tion at the level of the western world, however, the care is alerted of researchers not to be ac-complices of a system, appropriating dominant concepts to seek more ways of accessing the academy (symbolic profit), since it is necessary to overvalue social struggles and not remove the marxism school from investigations, since it still it is a living movement in Education, revealing itself to be timeless.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Produção e caracterização de liga multicomponente duplex do sistema CrCoNi com composição Cr51,5Ni33,5Co15(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-06) Assis, Flávio Fávaro de; Oliveira, Pedro Henrique Fernandes; Coury, Francisco Gil; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8956458007749112Multicomponent and/or high entropy alloys (HEAs) are a new class of materials that do not have a main element and are instead composed of concentrated solid solutions. Several compositions with interesting mechanical and functional properties have been found, in the literature special focus is given to multicomponent alloys composed of 3d transition metals from the periodic table. Among these alloys, several CrCoNi compositions stand out for their excellent strength, ductility and corrosion resistance. The main focus of the development of these alloys was the pursuit for compositions that form face centered cubic structures (FCC), however some studies indicate that duplex alloys, also composed of a body center cubic phase (BCC) have excellent mechanical properties. In this project will be presented thermodynamic calculations that indicate compositions from the CrCoNi system as promising for the formation of a duplex structure. Here, the production one composition will be proposed in order to understand the feasibility of manufacturing CFC + CCC duplex alloys in the CrCoNi system. This composition is the alloy Cr51,5Ni33,5Co15. It will be studied in the homogenized and as-cast conditions by optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Vickers microhardness and a preliminary cold rolling test. The results of this work will contribute to evaluate the production potential and mechanical properties of duplex alloys in the CrCoNi system.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeitos do uso da terra na diversidade beta de macroinvertebrados aquáticos da bacia hidrográfica do rio Itaqueri, São Paulo, Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-06) Assis, João Vitor de Mello; Trivinho-Strixino, Susana; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1804083229761186; Tundisi, José Galizia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5730659239785432; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7318310325575455Anthropogenic actions within watershed can cause impacts that alter ecosystem functions and negatively impact biodiversity. The beta diversity is useful for analyzing the effects of impacts between communities. The studies presented here were carried out in a watershed with high occupation by agriculture in the Cerrado biome and investigated the effects of land uses on the beta diversity of aquatic macroinvertebrates. In the first study, patterns of turnover and nestedness between tributary streams and reservoir were analyzed. Considering the direct influences of land uses on the community structure of the streams, the hypothesis was tested that the turnover and nestedness of communities in the reservoir would respond directly to the changes that occurred in the streams communities. The second study we analyzed the functional beta diversity with the action of the environmental filters of the watershed. Considering that land uses work as filters that select functional traits, it was asked which traits would relate to different land uses. Ten points were sampled, between streams and the reservoir and in the rainy and dry periods. The environmental variables of water were analyzed, determining the percentages of land use in the entire watershed and in the surroundings of each point. Most macroinvertebrates were identified down to the family level and family Chironomidae down to the genus level, and six categories of functional traits were used. The results of the frist study showed that the patterns that occurred in the streams did not directly influence the communities in the reservoir. Land uses and pollution prevented dispersal. The results of the second study indicated that only the body length trait was positively correlated with perennial agriculture and wetlands. However, there was a predominance in the community composition of a resilient trait and a seasonal increase in genera considered to be tolerant. The studies here demonstrated the considerable level of environmental degradation and impacts on the biodiversity of the watershed.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Resposta a contaminações de corpos hídricos: uma revisão sistemática sobre planejamento, gestão e atuação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-12-06) Guerra, Álvaro Rolim; Silva, Reginaldo Barboza da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1040231842718937; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1693778981372768Like any environmental emergency, the contamination of water bodies requires a quick and effective response to mitigate or even prevent damage to the environment, and those responsible for planning and executing the response actions to contamination must have clarity in their duties and objectives. Based on the Response Protocol Toolbox, of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - USEPA, this study aimed to carry out a systematic review of the literature on protocols and procedures for response to water contamination, using the Systematic Search Flow - SSF method. By gathering the results presented, this research contributed to a better understanding of the theme, and succeeded in presenting information and guidelines adaptable to the structuring of an Environmental Contamination Response Guide - ECRG, which will provide a methodical approach to the steps to be performed by the response teams that act in the occurrences of water contamination. By reading and analyzing twenty-eight found and selected full texts, it was possible to understand the context of the RPTB - USEPA publication, the main areas of study: safety and vulnerability of water distribution systems; contaminant detection and source identification; sampling and analytical approaches; response protocols.
