listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Ensino de habilidades comunicativas a indivíduos com autismo por meio da videomodelação: revisão sistemática de literatura(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Cardile, Gabriel Henrique; Postalli, Lidia Maria Marson; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2748282330028870; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7560-697X; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5003854685265467This research aimed to seek, analyze and discuss the results of studies that used video modeling in interventions to teach communication skills to people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The CAPES Periodical Portal was used as the database, in the CAFe version, which comprises more than 38,000 complete periodicals (as an example we have: ERIC; IndexPsi; PubMed; SciELO; LILACS; Pepsic, among others). For search, specific descriptors and Boolean terms were used AND and OR: [("video modeling" OR "video instructions") AND (autism OR "asperger syndrome") AND ("communicative skills”)]. The period determined in this study was from 2017 to 2022. Three inclusion criteria were used to select the studies to be incorporated, namely: a) the studies should use video modeling alone as an independent variable, associated with another intervention or as part of a package of treatments; b) communication skills should be part of the dependent variable, even if other skills were present; c) all studies should have participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Twenty two articles were found and after removing duplicates and applying the inclusion criteria, three empirical and two review studies were selected for analysis. The materials selected in the search were analyzed in two stages: the first stage analyzed empirical research, following the method proposed by Rodrigues and Almeida (2017). The second stage analyzed the review studies that addressed the theme of this research. The three empirical studies were analyzed based on the methodological characteristics of the studies and characteristics of the video modeling interventions. Two studies employed a subject design as its own control and a group design. One study presented an assessment of generalization and maintenance and none carried out an assessment of social validity. The three empirical studies performed reliability treatment. Two studies used video modelling and PECS as independent variables. The results, in general, indicated effectiveness in teaching communicative skills through video modeling, in addition to promoting skills training in people with ASD. The two review studies were analyzed with information extracted from the studies that enabled a descriptive analysis. The studies analyzed the literature about teaching communicative skills to people with autism. A national study found 11 studies that met the inclusion criteria and an international study carried out a review exploring the literature on the use of video modeling for skills-based learning and discusses its application as training tools for communication center consultants in increasing proficiency in public speaking for higher education students with ASD. The present study presented an overview of the studies that used video modeling as a strategy for teaching communication skills, which can help teachers, researchers and therapists in planning, improving and strengthening their practices regarding their work with people with autism.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo traceológico de fósseis de preguiças terrícolas em Santa Elina (MT): implicações sobre paleoecologia e interação ser humano/megafauna no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Pansani, Thaís Rabito; Dantas, Mário André Trindade; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2337213908856661; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9141-1643; Pacheco, Mírian Liza Alves Forancelli; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3481327026891705; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8810-2321; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5980145369116114; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5218-8904The Santa Elina rock shelter, in Mato Grosso State, Central Brazil, stands out as a pivotal zooarchaeological site in the study of the prehistory of South America, especially on the debate on the peopling of the Americas. Its successive human occupations dating from the late Pleistocene to the early Holocene exhibit lithic industry, rock painting, an exceptional abundance of ground sloth bone remains and cultural ornaments from different periods. Although the material culture of Santa Elina has been extensively explored, its paleontological potential have remained poorly investigated. This thesis aimed to provide an in-depth investigation of several aspects of the giant ground sloth from Santa Elina, including updating its taxonomy, new paleoecological inferences, natural aspects of their dermal bones (osteoderms), and their association with prehistoric human occupation, evidenced by the modification and use of osteoderms as personal ornaments during the Last Glacial Maximum (LMG). For this purpose, several traditional and advanced techniques were applied to study the bones and teeth of the ground sloth from Santa Elina. Diverse techniques (Carbon and oxygen stable isotopes analysis, Radiocarbon dating, Stereomicroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, Photoluminescence, and synchrotron-based Computerized Microtomography, X-Ray Fluorescence and X-Ray Diffraction) were applied to the study of 22 fossil samples. The first paper resulting from this thesis updates the taxonomic status of the mylodontid from Santa Elina, explores its isotopic paleoecology, and provides new radiocarbon dating from dental fragments from units II2 and III4. This study reveals the generalist diet of Glossotherium phoenesis with preference for C4 grasses and reinforces the stratigraphy of unit III4 to the LGM. The second paper explores the human modification of giant sloth bones in Santa Elina during the LGM. This paper provides solid evidence for human manufacturing and use-wear of these artifacts as personal objects during the Ice Age. Finally, the third paper presents preliminary results on paleobiological aspects of natural osteoderms of the mylodontid from Santa Elina. In sum, this thesis contributes to paleoecological and paleobiological aspects of the tropical giant sloth G. phoenesis, as well as to the Zooarchaeology and the Pleistocene occupation of the Americas. The core of this thesis reinforces the co-existence and interaction of prehistoric human populations with the Pleistocene megafauna during the LGM in Brazil, feeding the feverous discussion on the early human settlements in South America.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Modelagem de fração de cura, aplicado na classificação de clientes com dados segmentados(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Nestlehner, Douglas de Paula; Fogo, José Carlos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7654071774665744; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6978903231002734Models with a cure fraction allow considering individuals who who have not been subject to an event of interest, thus being able to obtain more results in relation to the usual survival models. In this work, we present a study of the application of survival models with a cure fraction to segmented data. We use one of the main cure fraction models, the mixture cure models, making adjustments considering different distributions, in order to obtain the best model. Some of the most promoted areas of the market are related to sales of subscription-based services, that seek to understand the occurrence of churn through customer loyalty studies, that is, knowing why customers stop purchasing your products. Most of these studies use data from active customers, and consequently there will be a high number of observations that have not been subjected to the event of interest, churn. Therefore, the application of survival models with cure rate in studies of churn occurrences, especially related to subscription-based services, can provide relevant results for company decision-making. In this way, we applied the results obtained in this study to a database from an experiment on the occurrence of churn in a particular company which has a high number of censored data and the data is segmented by several characteristics.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Impactos ambientais decorrentes do e-commerce B2C sob a ótica do consumidor(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Almeida, Alice Sales Fabiano de; Neves, Anne Alessandra Cardoso; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825341428803511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1853597818684887E-commerce is a transaction through the internet, it has grown in recent years, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Social isolation had made habits that transformed and influenced the changed on the market. The act of online consumption has several benefits such as agility, flexibility, a wide range of products, and varied prices. However, this transaction also causes environmental impacts, mainly because it is highly dependent on the transport and packaging sector, that is consequently contributing to air pollution, noise pollution, and waste generation. The consumers are fundamental in the process of searching for more sustainable e-commerce because through their demands, the companies will change their flows and attitudes. Therefore, it is very important to understand if the population is aware that this model also causes damage to the environment. In order to understand the mentioned point, the work sought to identify the perception of consumers about the environmental impacts that e-commerce can cause. In view of this, exploratory and descriptive research was carried out, using the quantitative nature, where an online form was applied. The questionnaire obtained 201 valid responses and it had as a target audience all people residing in Brazil who made online purchases in the last year. The results obtained showed that a part of the population understands and associates environmental impacts with electronic commerce, however, some demonstrate that they only notice positive points in this medium. In addition, they indicated that companies should be the most responsible if there are environmental problems due to online commerce. They also selected recycling, shopping in sustainable places, and environmental education as some of the main measures that can contribute to reducing the effects. It is worth mentioning that some companies already adopt strategies, such as the use of electric vehicles, drones, collection points, and sustainable packaging. For this reason, it is very important for online consumers to become more aware of the environment since they are key elements for more sustainable e-commerce.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Produção de carvão ativado como solução ambiental para o lodo industrial oriundo de uma indústria de papel e celulose(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Tesser, Cíntia Regina Prestes; Neves, Anne Alessandra Cardoso; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825341428803511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9750933002188302In the current world scenario, industrial waste has been shown to be a major problem, since it can cause a high environmental degradation, in the case of improper disposal, or through the overload of landfills, aggravating the scenario of solid waste disposal. Taking into account the pulp and paper industry residues, the sludge proves to be a great challenge, this fiber-rich residue from the paper formation process does not have many alternatives other than disposal in industrial landfills. Thus, the present study aimed to analyze and present the feasibility of transforming this waste into a by-product, activated carbon, its environmental impacts and financial viability, taking into account a medium to large factory, and hopes to find a valid reuse solution for this residue in its transformation into activated carbon.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo do algoritmo de clusterização K-means no processo de seleção de materiais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Ortiz, Guilherme de Oliveira; Staffa, Lucas Henrique; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2896049826673626; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6338-6903The use of machine learning algorithms has become common in everyday life, bringing to realize experiments in several fields of material engineering. This study complements the Ashby methodology with the clustering machine learning technic Kmeans, by the application of an algorithm in the material selection process for a screwdriver. For that, two materials processes were performed, where the firsts consisted in use integrally the Ashby’s methodologies. In the second one, materials resulting from the screening step of first process were used and applied the clustering algorithm K-means several times in order to reduce the number of materials. After that, comparisons are made with the two obtained results by each process, making it possible to observe the advantages and disadvantages present in the use of K-means. Four identical materials were obtained in both results. The main advantage observed is the possibility of working with a large number of variables with K-means, whereas in Ashby's methodology it is only possible to use two materials per property map. The main disadvantage is the loss of the algorithm's capacity to differentiate the materials after each run, due to the similarity between them.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Imunoterapia clínica de células CAR-T usadas contra tumores – uma revisão sistemática(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Pereira, Vinicius Alex Cano; Pranchevicius, Maria Cristina da Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4772148921558977; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0636850351790261Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy (CAR-T cell therapy) is a type of immunotherapy for cancer treatment that involves genetically modifying the patient's own T cells to express a specific CAR for a tumor antigen, followed by ex vivo cell expansion and reinfusion into the patient. Although CAR-T cells represent a major advance in cancer treatment and have achieved unprecedented success in hematological malignancies, especially in relapsed/refractory B-cell malignancies (R/R), their success in solid tumors is quite limited due to factors such as the highly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, low CAR-T cell infiltration, and toxicities. In this systematic review we evaluate the recents CAR-T cells clinical trials tested for different malignancies to overview recent advances in cancer immunotherapy using this approach. We sourced CAPES database, web of science and Pubmed through the following keywords: “Immunotherapy” AND “CAR T cells” and “Solid tumors” AND “CAR T cells”. Some criterions was established to compose this review as the articles had to be published between 2015 and 2021, it must be clinical trials researchers available and published in English language. Review and pre-clinical research articles are both excluded. PRISMA systematic review for clinical trials was consulted and followed to help the discussion and data presentation, and research website, as clinicaltrials.gov and fda.gov, as well as recent pre-clinical improvement CAR T cells were incorporated into the discussion. We obtained 1.188 articles, which 14 met inclusion/exclusion criteria and discussed CAR design, T cell production, and toxicities. Sample size is small but consistent with others reviews. Determinant factors for CAR-T activation and resistance to treatment were identified, including T cell concentration, disease/antigen burden, prior therapies, and CRS/ICANS adverse. Our study has shown that CAR-T cells have a great potential in threatening malignance, even some toxicities may occur. The CAR-T improvement must be continuous to ameliorate the Cell-Associated Neurotoxicity Syndrome/Immune effector Cytokine-Release Syndrome (CRS/ICANS) or even patient’s death, as well as overcome the solid malignance resistance. Several CAR-T cells strategies have been incorporated and developed to reach this goal and successfully has been tested into clinical practice. This evidentiates the high potential of this immunotherapy approach against cancer.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Prospecção tecnológica do setor de embalagens poliméricas antimicrobianas para alimentos(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Kawaushi, Cindy Miyuki; Marini, Juliano; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4533610255047654The food packaging sector is currently challenged to reduce food waste and the potential risk of foodborne illnesses, which has driven the development of new packaging technologies to meet the consumers’ requirements concerning product safety and quality. Among new active packaging, in which the material interacts with food in a desirable way to maintain or prolong its quality and shelf life, antimicrobial packaging stands out due to its ability to reduce, retard or inhibit the growth of microorganisms that accelerate food spoilage. A great interest in antimicrobial packaging arises because of the diversity of polymeric materials used, the different application methods and the variety of products that can be packaged. In this way, this work is aimed to present a theoretical foundation and a brief literature review about antimicrobial packaging, in addition to mapping the scientific and technological development in this theme. Monitoring through patents and scientific articles available at the Derwent Innovations Index (DII) and Web of Science databases, considering the date range from the initial year approached by each platform until 2022, allowed comprehensive analyses of main trends in antimicrobial packaging, pointing to the progressive interest over the years in this developing field, mainly in Asian-Pacific countries, such as China and Japan. The technological prospecting also indicated increasing research towards antimicrobial polymer packaging from renewable and biodegradable sources, with emphasis on chitosan, cellulose and starch demonstrating a greater commitment to sustainability and allowing the identification of future trends in the food packaging market, such as edible packaging and those with internal polymeric coating, mainly provided by the casting method.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Terapia ocupacional na atenção básica em saúde: um relato de experiência a partir da abordagem familiar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Matheus, Guilherme Nícolas; Fornereto, Alana de Paiva Nogueira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0361502737203825Introduction: Primary Health Care was proposed to expand access to health care, providing equal conditions for users, focusing on health promotion and prevention actions, emphasizing the importance of professionals relating to the individual, family, community and territory. Occupational Therapy can act in the health area at all levels of care with demands related to occupational performance. This study sought to understand the approach to the family through the work of Occupational Therapy in Primary Health Care based on the report of the care management of a user. Methodology: This study consists of a qualitative, descriptive, naturalistic and cross-sectional research with an experience report through the strategy of records in a field diary and participant observation. Data were obtained from the development of internship activities in Occupational Therapy during the period from January to May 2022 in a Family Health Unit in the city of São Carlos. The records described in field diaries and medical records were triggers for carrying out this work. Results and discussion: Primary Health Care contemplates the principles of universality, accessibility, comprehensiveness, continuity of care, accountability, humanization, equity and social participation. The Family Health Strategy provides opportunities for the relationship with the family, with different ways of life. The occupational therapist can carry out several actions in the field of the Family Health Strategy, in order to analyze the occupational performance and promote better health conditions, autonomy and independence of the users, bringing the daily perspective of the community to the center of the discussion. Occupational Therapy approaches and contributes to the perspectives linked to the principles of Primary Health Care, since these principles are present in the professional's academic training. Conclusion: The study provided an opportunity to look into the family's perspective and how Occupational Therapy helps defend this principle at this level of health care. Due to the complex understanding of daily life and proximity to the principles of Primary Health Care, the action of the occupational therapist has real possibilities of effectiveness and positive impact on the daily lives of users, and when this professional is present there is a greater chance of putting these principles into effect in the practice.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Revisão das espécies nominais do gênero Proloricaria Isbrücker, 2001 (Siluriformes: Loricariidae, Loricariinae): um caso de aplicação de taxonomia integrativa(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Pinheiro, Vitor Hugo Palomo; Oliveira, Alexandre Kannebley de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4768538943210958; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5852442143583390The catfishes of the Loricariinae subfamily inhabit the substrate environments of South American rivers and are distinguished from the rest of the Loricariidae family by having a long, depressed caudal peduncle and the absence of an adipose fin. Most of the more than 250 species of Loricariinae were described in the genus Loricaria, but many are currently located in other genera of the subfamily. The genus Proloricaria was described in 2001, having as type species Loricaria prolixa, from the Tietê river basin. The other species accepted for the genus, Proloricaria lentiginosa, was originally described as L. prolixa lentiginosa, from specimens of the rio Grande basin. The two species are widely distributed in the upper rio Paraná basin, and are morphologically very similar. The distinction between them was originally based on the difference of color on the head and body, and the arrangement of bony plates on the abdomen. Such characters are labile, with doubts regarding the recognition and taxonomic validity of the two species, suggesting synonymy. This monograph consists in a study of the species of the genus Proloricaria using a combination of morphological methods and molecular analysis (DNA barcoding), in order to test the hypothesis of validity of two nominal species belonging to the genus. Morphometric, meristic and qualitative analyzes of specimens deposited in collections were carried out, as well as molecular analyzes of DNA barcoding from the sequencing of the Cytochrome Oxidase I (COI) gene of specimens, comparing them with the sequences available at BOLD Systems and Genbank. The morphological analysis of the species showed differences regarding the presence or absence of a pair of pre-dorsal supernumerary anterior plates, and the number of rows of odontodes on the parieto-supraoccipital. Molecular analyzes of the sequences compared with the database sequences allowed the distinction of the two species, supporting the necessity of correction of the mentions of both in the studies of the ichthyofauna of the upper Paraná river. The morphological and molecular basis obtained in this study resolves many of the existing conflicts regarding the identification and validity of the species, presents support to distinguish them as two different species, corrects the mentions of each one of them in the literature, and defines the distribution pattern of P. prolixa in the Tietê, Paranapanema and Paraná river basins, and P. lentiginosa in the rio Grande basin, both integrating the upper Paraná river system.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Proposta de melhorias no gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos em uma indústria de papel e celulose a partir da aplicação da metodologia PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act)(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Queiroz, Hellen Carolina Nunes; Neves, Anne Alessandra Cardoso; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825341428803511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8434739037588388The population is susceptible to several environmental problems that affect it, among them are problems related to the management of solid waste. In 2015, the UN defined 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) that are part of the so-called “Agenda 2030”, which deals with a global pact signed at the United Nations Summit by 193 countries. The 17 objectives break down into 169 goals aimed at overcoming the challenges of sustainable development in the world, in order to promote sustainable global growth by the year 2030. Among the established goals, the company, where the study will be carried out, adopted the goal of “Landfill Zero” which aims not to send any type of waste to landfills by 2030. The pulp and paper industry is a major generator of solid waste of various types and classes, waste that needs management and final disposal. Some of the waste generated in the industry is already destined for purposes other than landfills, such as incineration, recycling, re-refining, energy use, etc., but there are still opportunities that can and will be explored throughout this work. With that in mind, the need arose to apply improvements regarding issues related to solid waste from the factory, in order to have a more organized, safe and efficient management, so throughout this project, the PDCA methodology was applied to identify the main gaps regarding to waste management and improvements were proposed, mostly focused on internal operating procedures and applications of improvements in waste storage locations within the factory, based on process flow updates and improving the company's internal indicators aimed at organization.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Gerações no contexto do trabalho pós-covid 19: Uma revisão sistemática de literatura(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Magnabosco, Renan Fraiha; Ubeda, Cristina Lourenço; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6696784421924024; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6460-9462; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8022305124768583This research project aims to study the baby boomer, x and y generations in the context of post-covid 19 work, based on a systematic literature review. In addition, understanding the behaviors of individuals by generation enables the people management area to promote healthy generational encounters that enable organizational results in the new digital and remote context of work, even after the covid-19 pandemic. For the analysis of results, the research objectives, the contributions of the systematic literature review, the content analysis as a research method and the analysis strategies supported by systematically structured procedures are presented. Finally, the expected results during the term of the scholarship are pointed out, as well as the way of analyzing results and the work schedule in order to meet the expectations of developing scientific activities for the training of young researcherslistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise da gestão de resíduos dos aparelhos pod system visando minimizar os impactos ambientais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Silva, Kelma Cristina Pereira da; Neves, Anne Alessandra Cardoso; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825341428803511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0284767067091326Pod systems are portable electronic devices used to vaporize liquids, usually e-juices containing nicotine or other flavors. They consist of a rechargeable or non rechargeable battery and a cartridge, which contains the liquid for vaporization. This academic work aims to demonstrate how much these devices harm human and environmental health, so a survey was carried out with the intention of gathering information on how these users should dispose of these "POD's", in the city of São Paulo, with a group of 190 people. The electronic cigarette appears as an attractive option for smokers of conventional cigarettes, believing that it can ease the addiction to smoking. Considered a novelty, electronic cigarettes have become a rage among young people and spread throughout the world. In Brazil, the sale is fully controlled by ANVISA due to the high level of toxic substances present in the device, which harms both human health and the environment. In addition, the controlled speed of this product, increasingly attractive also due to the variety of formats, colors and aromas, facilitates access to its consumption in coded scales. Furthermore, conventional cigarettes and electronic cigarettes share a similarity with each other: the presence of nicotine. In this way, it also adds a great environmental impact when considering the post-use residue. Due to the fact that it is a prohibited product, there are no proper guidelines for the disposal of e-cigarettes. This culminates in the disposal in any location, providing a high contamination of such chemical substances. It is relevant to visualize that the worrying effects caused to the environment, and also to human health, are a consequence of the use of electronic cigarettes only for recreational purposes, usually among young people.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Proposta de jogos visando a educação ambiental de estudantes do terceiro ano do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Climeni, Juliane Galvão; Neves, Anne Alessandra Cardoso; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825341428803511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1512230292059845In this work, a practical analysis was carried out on the feasibility of implementing educational games as a tool for environmental education. Through these forms it was possible to carry out an analysis on the feasibility and effectiveness of the project in question.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estratégias pedagógicas para o ensino de genética para alunos surdos em escolas inclusivas e bilíngues(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Nazario, Rafaela Rodrigues; Silva, Antônio Fernando Gouvêa da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9621931288117213; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8915-9952; Rocha, Daniele Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0948893650052847; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5568-3302; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4163954526970964This paper seeks to investigate the education scenario, specifically, the teaching of Genetics to which deaf students have access in Brazilian public schools and whether it ensures a quality teaching-learning, as well as to propose lesson plans that help the teacher, within their duties, to ensure an inclusive and democratic education. The aim of this work is to investigate the scenario of inclusive and bilingual education, specifically the teaching of Genetics to deaf students in Brazilian public schools. Based on this general objective, the specific objectives defined are: a) structure, with rationale, the theoretical framework studied for the realization of this work seeking to expose the scenario of inclusive and bilingual teaching of Genetics for deaf students and its implications in public schools; b) develop two lesson plans focused on the content of Genetics based on bilingual teaching with the help of the three pedagogical moments of Delizoicov and Angotti (1990); c) make these materials available to professionals who work with deaf students in the classroom of a public elementary school located in the municipality of Sorocaba. From the analysis of the theoretical reference addressed, it is understood that the deaf student's performance can be directly influenced by the teacher's preparation to work in various dynamics adapted in the classroom, the lack of communication between family and school and the failure in teaching methodologies used (SILVA, 2014). That said, two lesson plans were proposed based on bilingual teaching and inclusive education, which aim to help the teacher reflect on the inclusive teaching practice within Brazilian schools.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, As adaptações para o teletrabalho durante a pandemia de covid 19: um estudo sobre o desempenho, as vantagens e os problemas enfrentados(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Almeida, Luis Fernando da Silva; Bortoletto, Matheus; Ubeda, Cristina Lourenço; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6696784421924024; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6460-9462During the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies adopted telework as a way to maintain their activities amidst social distancing. Therefore, trust is the main concept mobilized in this study, based on previous research that indicated the variables with the greatest explanatory power for the act of trusting the Judiciary (CUNHA & OLIVEIRA, 2019; DEL PORTO, 2013; SALZMAN & RAMSEY, 2013, RUSSO et al., 2018) and the way in which religion can influence people's values and political behavior (BOHN, 2009; BOAS & SMITH, 2017; FERREIRA & FUKS, 2021; JUNIOR et al., 2018). To achieve our objective, we developed and analyzed a logistic regression model, based on data from the LAPOP culture and political values survey, from 2019. The research was funded by CNPq, via a Scientific Initiation grant. The main conclusion of the research is that although religious affiliation does not act as a significant predictor of trust in the Supreme Court, people's level of religiosity (regardless of religious affiliation) helps to explain trust in the Supreme Court, being the main predictor of this Confidence is the perception of fairness of the courts.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Utilização de microalgas para pós tratamento de efluente de fossa séptica biodigestora: um estudo preliminar(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Orlandi, Vinícius Pereira; Silva, Wilson Tadeu Lopes da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8492938071491133; Neves, Anne Alessandra Cardoso; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825341428803511The quality of life of the population, among many elements, is directly linked tosanitation infrastructure such as access to drinking water, sewage collection and treatment. In this way, new low-cost and high-efficiency technologies for removing pollutants have been increasingly explored, one of these alternatives being the insertion of the Septic Tank Biodigester (FSB). This aims to treat rural wastewater by anaerobic systems. However, the quality of the effluent is not desirable for disposal in water bodies, requiring post treatment. An alternative to this treatment is the inoculation of microalgae, as they have the potential to remove nutrients and pollutants, so that there isno severe environmental imbalance at the time of disposal. Based on this point, this work aimed to use TSE (Treated Sewage Effluent) for a microalgae culture medium, in order to assess whether it is possible to have potential algal development in wastewater. First, there was a previous survey of the ideal conditions for cultivation and then the analyzes were started. The experiment was divided into three stages, in which a culture medium was used in the first stage, with alternative sources of nitrogen and phosphorus such as NaNO3, NH4OH and KH2PO4 and for the second and third stages the effluent itself was used. A controlled system with a temperature of 25°C, 24-hour lighting and continuous agitation was considered. During the experiment, several analyzes such as pH, turbidity, electrical conductivity (EC), and biomass analyzes such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), elemental Analysis of Carbon, Hydrogen, and Nitrogen (CHN) and microscopy were performed. As a result, it was possible to observethe adaptation of microalgae in the FSB effluent, as well as that the process of inoculation of algae for post-treatment is efficient in terms of growth response time withthe nutritional conditions and pre-existing pH. It was also observed that in systems with higher agitation speed (which promotes better gas exchange between the aqueous medium and the atmosphere), the microalgae developed much faster than in non-aeratedsystems. In addition, the use of algae can be seen as a promising way to polish the effluent treated by the FSB, provided that the lighting conditions, pH and optimization of gas exchange between the solution and the atmosphere are considered.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Elementar: um jogo de tabuleiro sobre a história da química para o novo ensino médio(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Gomes, Letícia Asheley; Benedetti Filho, Edemar; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5963704923612696Several works in the field of science education highlight the contribution of the use of games to the teaching and learning processes. In Chemistry Education, these resources can be auxiliary tools for the teacher, since they seek to arouse the students' interest, promote interaction in the classroom and facilitate the understanding of contents treated in this discipline. This paper deals with the development, application and evaluation of a board game called “Elementar”, an adaptation of the game Jogo Perfil®. The game has an investigative character and discusses the concept of chemical element through the approach of the History of Chemistry. The data obtained on the application of this didactic resource, with students of the 2nd grade of the New High School of a state public school in the State of São Paulo, were analyzed considering the normative character of the BNCC and the São Paulo Curriculum, as well as the conception of the indicators of the scientific literacy process by Sasseron and Carvalho (2008). The results show that the didactic game fits into the norms of flexibility in the New High School, since it allows for the deepening of knowledge in the area of natural sciences, and contributes to the teaching and learning situations of the objects of knowledge of Chemistry to occur in a more attractive and meaningful way for the student.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Análise das ferramentas de implementação e manutenção da certificação ISO 14001(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2023-03-20) Rodrigues, Lucas Azevedo; Neves, Anne Alessandra Cardoso; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5825341428803511; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3450552413585923The objective of this work is to identify the main motivations, benefits and difficulties in the certification of adoption of Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001 in Brazilian companies. The use of Environmental Management Systems – EMS based on ISO 14001 has proved to be a fundamental tool for approaching the environmental aspects and impacts of an organization. Despite all the benefits that this system provides, many difficulties are faced for the implementation of EMS, especially in small and medium-sized companies - SMEs. The main implementation problems related to ISO 14001 or the models and methods used (PIM) were pointed out, highlighting the lack of environmental performance criteria, the need for a path or sequence of steps for implementation, the cooperation of employees in the compliance and commitment to the implementation of this standard. After the implementation of the certification, the problems do not end, it is challenging to maintain the mandatory parameters over time. The main benefits obtained were: improvement of quality in processes and greater awareness of employees in relation to quality.
