listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Escrita interminável: o testemunho impossível em K.: Relato de uma Busca, de Bernardo Kucinski(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Barcelos, Diego Thimm; Martha, Diana Junkes Bueno; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1857520068239671; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0962979486538387The main objective of this work is to carry out an analysis of K.: Relato de uma Busca, by Bernardo Kucinski based on the notion of testimony. The book tells the story of the character K.'s search for his missing daughter during the Brazilian military dictatorship. To this end, we will propose an initial theoretical discussion about the perspectives and notions of what constitutes a work with testimonial content, mainly based on the research of Márcio Seligmann-Silva. Still in the first part, we present a dialogue between literature and history, based on texts by Walter Benjamin and readings carried out by Seligmann-Silva and Jeanne Marie Gagnebin. To address the issue of trauma and mourning, we set foot in psychoanalysis together with Freud, in addition to delving into the notion of resentment based on the studies of Maria Rita Kehl and Luis Kancyper. In the second part of the work, we begin the analysis of Bernardo Kucinski's report, with a study that proposes to be multidisciplinary by touching on literary issues and also by building dialogues with the theories presented previously and other texts from the sociological and journalistic fields. In this movement, we present a contextualization of the Brazilian dictatorship from the perspective of its continuity, based on texts by Fabio Victor, Edson Teles, among others. Finally, we look at testimony as a possible place for individual and collective repair.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Consórcio milho-abóbora com diferentes variedades comerciais de abóbora(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Iacobucci, Rafael Gabone; Forti, Victor Augusto; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5742976162363922; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1628561815341575Despite the appeal for new forms of cultivation and the growing development of agroecology in recent decades, there is still a limited technical and scientific approach in the area of polyculture, which contributes to the low adoption by farmers. The present study aimed to understand the dynamics and performance of intercropping corn and pumpkin when compared to the implementation of different commercial pumpkin varieties. The experiment was carried out in randomized blocks, with three treatments and four replications. The treatments consisted of intercropping corn (Zea mays L.) and a different pumpkin variety: (a) Moranga Exposição (Cucurbita maxima), (b) Mini Paulista (Cucurbita moschata) and (c) Menina Brasileira (Cucurbita moschata). Monoculture control areas were also conducted for each of the crops and varieties studied. Was evaluated: the phenology of the crops; growth variables such as stem diameter, plant height and number of flowers; soil cover of each pumpkin variety; weed population; sex ratio of each pumpkin variety and productivity of each crop and variety. Corn phenology did not change with the treatments, and the phenology of pumpkin varieties showed variations mainly with the increase in the period between the emission of the first male flower and the emission of the first female flower, in addition to the decrease in the period of most intense competition. Growth variables for corn and pumpkin showed no difference between treatments. The percentage of soil cover of the Menina Brasileira and Mini Paulista varieties, with 74 and 88 days after planting, was higher than that of the Moranga Exposição variety, as well as the mass of dry matter of weeds was lower in the treatments that presented greater cover. The productivity of both corn and pumpkins did not show statistical difference. The Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) was only above one for the Mini Paulista and Menina Brasileira varieties, with values of 1.17 and 1.11, respectively. Thus, it is concluded that the treatments with the Mini Paulista and Menina Brasileira varieties were superior, both by the IEA and by the greater percentage of cover and suppression of weeds.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Desenvolvimento Orientado ao Transporte Sustentável (DOTS): avaliação das condições atuais e da autocorrelação espacial entre setores censitários de um bairro de São Carlos-SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Sliwinski, Mariane; Monari, Marcelo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5944412594047895; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5562-3235; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7602634570545213; https://orcid.org/0009-0008-4616-1797Urban mobility planning plays a crucial role in building sustainable and efficient cities as it promotes universal accessibility and contributes to environmental preservation. To support its implementation, the internationally recognized TOD Standard - Transit-Oriented Development Standard — is presented as a criterion to evaluate the mobility conditions in cities. The objective of this research is to combine the aforementioned TOD methodology with classical concepts of spatial statistics in a neighborhood of São Carlos-SP, a medium-sized Brazilian city, to estimate its current conditions of sustainable urban mobility and assess whether there is spatial autocorrelation between census tracts (defined by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE) in relation to the TOD indicators. The application of the methodology in the Cidade Jardim neighborhood of São Carlos-SP allowed the identification of overall TOD standards ranging from Very Low to Low, with moderate spatial autocorrelation between census tracts only in bicycle use. The main limitations of the study include methodological simplifications concerning the TOD Standard itself and the subdivision of the units of analysis. However, eucalyptus production in Brazil faces some challenges, such as the incidence of pests such as the shell psyllid, an exotic insect that can threaten the productivity of commercial areas. Therefore, the present study aimed to verify the population fluctuation of shell psyllid nymphs in a microregion of the state of São Paulo in 2021 in three distinct eucalyptus clones and to evaluate how meteorological variables and clones influence infestation levels. For this purpose, young commercial plantations of three distinct clones were sampled from january to december 2021 regarding nymph infestation levels, maximum and minimum temperatures, water deficit, and precipitation. The sampled data were subjected to principal component analysis (PCA) to obtain the results inherent to the correlation of variables and to the Kruskal-Wallis test and Dunn's test at 5% significance. It was observed that the genetic material and water deficit positively influenced PC1, a component responsible for 43.2% of the variability of the observed results and, consequently, of the nymph infestation levels. For the average nymph infestation levels in the clones, there was a statistical difference between the pairs of clones 2–3 and 2–1, where clones 1 and 3 presented the highest average nymph infestation levels. In addition, the population peaks of the shell psyllid nymphs were higher during the dry season.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Toxicidade aguda de clomazona, sulfentrazona, indaziflam e tebutiuron em macrófitas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Siqueira, Bruno Barbugian Ramalho; Monquero, Patricia Andrea; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2766526793830455; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9123-1861; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4270417450932938The use of herbicides with a long residual can have an impact on the productivity of agricultural crops and cause negative effects on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems due to surface run-off or leaching. In this context, the aim of this study was to evaluate the residual effect of the herbicides clomazone, sulfentrazone, indaziflam and tebutiuron and their acute effects (CE50; CENO and CEO) on different species of macrophytes: Lemna minor and Azolla caroliniana. The experiment was conducted in the laboratory according to OECD (2002) toxicity standards (CE50;7d; CENO and CEO) to analyze the effect of the herbicides at different concentrations, according to the ecotoxicological table, on the cultivation of L. minor and A. caroliniana, and thus evaluate mortality and fresh mass (g) over a period of 7 days. At the end of the work carried out in the laboratory, the data obtained from the acute tests was evaluated for the concentration that caused an acute effect on 50% of the organisms, which corresponds to the average effective concentration (EC50), and then calculated and compared with the average value shown on the laboratory control chart. The EC50 was calculated using the Trimmed Spearman-Karber statistical method (p < 0.05). To determine CENO and CEO, the data was analyzed for normality (Chi-Square test) and homogeneity of variances (Bartlett's test), and then for the difference between the two. Bartlett's test), followed by analysis of variance, using Dunnett's test to check for significant differences between the treatments and the control. The CE50 of the herbicides clomazone, sulfentrazone, indaziflam and tebutiuron were 0.41, 0.73, 0.12 and 0.21 mg.L -1, respectively, for the Lemna minor species. For the macrophyte Azolla caroliniana, the EC50 determined were 3.26 mg.L-1 for clomazone, 0.51 mg.L-1 for sulfentrazone, 0.11 mg.L-1 for indaziflam and 0.71 mg.L-1 for tebutiuron. All the herbicides showed moderate toxicity to both species species tested, causing significant reductions in fresh mass, even at lower concentrations.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Formalização e melhoria via modelagem: um estudo em processos administrativos de secretarias de pós-graduação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Silva, Ivan Rogério da; Silva, Sérgio Luis da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4164265591178698; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5970-9386; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8727263882476288; https://orcid.org/0009-0000-1115-6594Process modeling helps identify improvements, encourages management orientation towards a process perspective, contributes to increasing and disseminating administrative knowledge, in addition to other benefits reported in the literature. This work, using the notations BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) and BPMN for GENERAL, selected and carried out the mapping 'as-is', current state, and 'to-be', future proposal, of the main processes of a post office -graduation (PPG) from units at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). The theoretical foundation was obtained through an exploratory literature review. This review facilitated the gathering of current knowledge regarding process concepts, process mapping (PM), Business Process Management (BPM), BPMN, and BPMN for GERAL. In the empirical approach, a combination of methods was used. A case study was conducted to select and analyze the main processes of the unit, process modeling was used for their formalization, and structured interviews were conducted with practitioners of similar processes in presumably better conditions, specifically graduate programs (PPGs) rated 6 or 7 by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). The thorough analysis of documents and the researcher's experience with the routines of the case study facilitated the original formulation of the 'as-is' processes. Various consultations and comparison with the literature enabled the conception of the initial 'to-be' proposal. The subsequent submission of this proposal to other practitioners, as specified, allowed for its improvement. Consequently, a modeled and tested version of each selected process was obtained, which represents the main contribution of this work. This is initially limited to the studied PPGs, but it can serve as a starting point for future investigations with other methodological approaches.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito de herbicidas pré-emergentes em diferentes texturas de solo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Jurgensen, Igor; Monquero, Patricia Andrea; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2766526793830455; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9123-1861Weed management is essential in agriculture, and the increased use of pre-emergent herbicides has increasingly become an efficient solution to this problem. The response to pre-emergent herbicides can vary depending on a number of factors, including the texture of the soil to which it is being applied. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of the herbicides clomazone in controlling Digitaria insularis (bitter grass), flumioxazin in controlling Conyza canadensis (buva) and amicarbazone in controlling Ipomoea purpurea (corda-de-viola) applied in different doses and soil textures. For each herbicide and weed, the experimental design was entirely randomized, with four replications, in a 2x6 factorial scheme, with the first factor being the soil textures (clay and sand) and the second factor being different doses of the herbicides: control, 0.5D; 0.75D, 1D, 1.5D and 2D, with D being the commercial dose of clomazone (828 g i. a. ha-1 ), flumazone and amicarbazone. a. ha-1 ), flumioxazin (80 g i.a. ha-1) and amicarbazone (1225 g i.a. ha-1). The plants were assessed for control and dry biomass of the aerial part. At the end of the evaluation period, the control and reduction in dry mass of D. insularis was 100% with doses starting at 828g i.a. ha-1 of clomazone; the control and reduction in dry mass of C. canadensis was 100% with doses starting at 80g i.a. ha-1 of flumioxazin; and the control and reduction in dry mass was 100% with doses starting at 919g i.a. ha-1 of amicarbazone. With regard to soil texture, there were no statistical differences, as the results were similar in both soils. Therefore, it can be concluded that the doses of these herbicides do not need to be modified according to soil texture in order to control the respective weeds.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Pyroxsulam em mistura com inseticidas piretróides na cultura do trigo: efeito enzimático(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Dias, André Lélis; Monquero, Patricia Andrea; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2766526793830455; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9123-1861It is very common to use mixtures of different pesticides in agriculture, and the result of an association between them can be antagonism (less effect of the mixture when compared to the products applied separately), synergism (enhanced effect of the mixture) or additive (equal effects of the mixture compared to the products applied alone). The aim of this work was to verify the effect of mixtures of herbicides and insecticides on wheat development and on the catalytic activity of the antioxidant enzyme Glutathione S-Transferase (GST) in wheat plants. Two experiments were carried out involving two insecticides from the pyrethroid group: deltamethrin (5 g a.i. ha-1) and acetamiprid + fenpropathrin (30 g a.i. ha-1 + 45 g a.i. ha-1). These insecticides were applied together or in combination with the herbicide pyroxsulam (18 g i.a ha-1), simulating a tank mix and different intervals between the application of the insecticide and herbicide (3 and 7 days). For each experiment, the experimental design was completely randomized with 7 treatments and 4 replications. The results were observed using two assessment methods, one according to visual symptoms of phytotoxicity in the crop assessed at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after application (DAA) and the other by taking samples of the leaves and roots of the wheat plants 24, 48 and 72 hours after application to assess the effects of the mixtures on the action of the GST enzyme. It can be seen in both experiments that the treatment where the insecticide was applied 7 days before the application of the herbicide showed greater phytotoxicity than the others, as well as a delay in the wheat plants' panicle emission, showing that the selectivity of the herbicide in relation to the wheat crop was affected by the insecticides.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Controle de plantas daninhas pela associação de herbicidas aplicados em pré-emergência e cobertura vegetal sobre o solo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Vieira, João Pedro Urbano Salviato; Monquero, Patricia Andrea; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2766526793830455; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9123-1861; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1089579941619397Currently, we can see the importance of soybean production in Brazil due to the size of the cultivated area and the large market that exists for this species. Because it has low competitive potential and high sensitivity, affecting its productivity and grain quality, weed control must be done with excellence. weed control must be carried out with excellence. It is common to combine pre-emergent herbicides, which will control the weeds at their most sensitive stage of development, with plant cover on the soil, which not only helps to control the weeds, but also brings various benefits to the crop. control, brings various benefits to the physical, chemical and biological quality and increases the soil's organic matter. The main weeds that interfere with the cultivation of this crop include Bidens pilosa, Euphorbia heterophylla and Amaranthus hybridus. They have cases of resistance to various herbicides. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of mulch combined with pre-emergence herbicides in managing these weeds. The weeds were analyzed separately in a completely randomized experiment with a 4 x 4 x 3 factorial design, with three replications. The following treatments were studied: diclosulan, flumioxazin and sulfentrazone, plus a control (no herbicide used) and three ground cover plants of the following species: Canavalia ensiformis, Pennisetum glaucum, Crotalaria juncea, in addition to a treatment with no three sheets of water immediately after the application of the herbicides (2.5, 5 and 10 mm). Control was assessed at 35 days after the treatments were applied (DAA) and the dry matter of the weeds was evaluated at the end. It can be concluded that A. hybridus was satisfactorily controlled (>80%) by the different mulches without the use of herbicides, but the association with the herbicides caused control close to 100%, especially with the 5 and 10 mm mulches. E. heterophylla was controlled satisfactorily (>80%) only when there was a combination of ground cover and herbicides, especially diclosulam and sulfentrazone with 2.5 and 5 mm of water after application. B. pilosa showed control greater than 80% with the presence of all ground covers, however, this control was greater when associated with the herbicides at 5 and 10 mm, resulting in control percentages of over 90% in most treatments. Cover crops should be considered when managing these weeds, especially if they are associated with herbicides moisture is needed after application to allow the products to percolate into the soil.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Copypastas: o primado da forma e a regra do caos – uma análise de discurso digital(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Stefani, Helena Bonuccelli; Nogueira, Luciana; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7475342844385424; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4470-5005; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5047602627507632; https://orcid.org/0009-0009-6060-6681In this Final Paper, based on the theory of Materialist Discourse Analysis and Digital Discourse Analysis, I try to identify, explain and describe the discursive functioning of the so-called copypastas. As an object, copypastas – a technogenre (Paveau, 2021) – are ‘‘blocks of text'' which, through the action of copying and pasting (and therefore ''copy''/''pasta''), circulate and crystallize in digital environments through spam. Generally ironic, their signification and production of sense – considering the gestures of interpretation of user-subjects – are necessarily linked to the fact that this block of text is identified as a copypasta. In order to understand its discursive functioning, I analyze “prototypical” excerpts, considering the instances of production of sense, namely: constitution, formulation and circulation, according to Orlandi (2022). I then analyze the way in which the “birth” of non-prototypical copypastas take place – and the obstacles to their “survival”. Based on these analyses, I propose the “hypothesis” of the meta-existence of copypastas: through a hyperbole, they would be indicative of the basic functioning of discourses of/in the digital world. The “rule” in the chaos of online discursive production is the “primacy of form” - that is, the thought that the “physical form” of a text overdetermines its meaning, due to the co-enunciative weight that the technical (including the algorithmic, the “behind the screen”) brings to digital discourses.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Eventos adversos na vida escolar de crianças e adolescentes: uma pesquisa bibliográfica exploratória(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Santos, Raniele Silva; Bozzini, Isabela Custódio Talora; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0853746645322544; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7334165373557360This study sought to identify which adverse experiences, which correspond to sources of stress that may include physical, sexual and emotional violence, that children and adolescents experience and what the consequences are for school learning, through an exploratory bibliographical research. To carry out this study, it was defined by searching for scientific articles indexed in the Scielo database, in the time frame from 2015 to 2024, 07 scientific articles were analyzed. It was possible to demonstrate in the study that children and adolescents are inserted in environments in which they are exposed to various adverse experiences, the most experienced being physical and emotional violence, and are impacted by traumatic exposure both in the family environment and in the community. It is concluded that more in-depth studies based on data collection are necessary to understand the real consequences on the school learning of children and adolescents.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O ensino-aprendizagem sobre alimentação e sua relação com transtornos mentais em estudantes da Universidade Federal de São Carlos - Campus Sorocaba (SP).(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Carneiro, Victor Augusto da Silva; Benvegnú, Dalila Moter; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6134516963963514; Carvalho, Cleoni dos Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7233550271936621; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1835763485640707The quality of food has a direct impact on the onset of certain diseases, such as mental disorders. The present study aims to deepen the understanding of the understanding of the students of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Sorocaba campus, about food, considering fundamental concepts such as the major food groups (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids), as well as to carry out a survey of the eating habits of these students and establish a relationship between their diet and depression, anxiety, and stress disorders. The study also aims to evaluate a possible reduction in the symptoms of mental disorders in foods rich in antioxidants belonging to the Brassicaceae family. To achieve these objectives, a research was conducted involving data collection, using the following self-administered instruments: 1. Questionnaires on lifestyle and relationship with food and mental disorders; 2. DASS- 21 scale; and 3. Food Frequency Questionnaire. The results showed that among UFSCar students, there is a prevalence of the mentioned mental disorders (depression, anxiety, and stress) and a dissatisfaction with the way in which food-related topics are addressed, when addressed among the students analyzed. In addition, women presented higher levels of anxiety, depression, and stress compared to men, which may indicate that women pay more attention to their own health, moreover, the consumption of foods belonging to the Brassicaceae family did not show significant results when associated with influence on the levels of the disorders studielistelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Manifesto pela terra e ecofeminismo: um estudo sobre a natureza, direitos e o desemparedamento da infância na ecopedagogia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Corrêa, Laís Melo; Silva, Vanda Aparecida da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9920701759600807; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7558-6443; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0779039578860221Characterized as a qualitative study reviewing the literature and documents guiding education, this course completion work visits academic works and productions published in the UFSCar Institutional Repository (IR), such as Course Completion Papers (TCCs), dissertations and theses, to discuss the tensions between the capitalist paradigm, nature and education, presenting the rights of nature and biocentric perspectives as a possible way to redirect the mode of production and life from an ecofeminist perspective. By linking patriarchal capitalism with environmental collapse and the imprisonment of children, the aim is to point to experiences of imprisonment (Tiriba, 2018) in early childhood education as exercises and movements of reconnection with nature and the web of life (Capra, 1996), revealing the power of relationships of partnership and care between children and adults, and the latter with the Earth. In this way, starting from micro-social relationships, the study highlights relationships with communities and environmental surroundings, highlighting the protagonism and ways of being of children, their social, cultural and, above all, natural relationships in the field of curriculum, more specifically the ecopedagogical curriculum, proposing criticisms and alternatives to the unsustainable mode of production and humanity's divorce with nature. The study concludes that the natural dimension is important for children's integral development, with nature being an active subject and support for planetary life, with whom children can create and be aware of their body's desires and limits, awakening them to relationships of care and respect for natural limits.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Contribuição de mulheres para o ensino e pesquisa da matemática(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2024-09-13) Souza, Marcela Eduarda Belini de; Salvador, José Antonio; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2487171069472158This study highlights the contributions of ten women mathematicians who made significant marks on the field. To this end, the reading is done with a theoretical framework of studies on the control society, both in a global parameter reached in 2020, which is called Digital Totalitarianism, and at an internal level, in Brazil at least since 2013-2016, in its specific correlation with the Hybrid Wars. This reading is done, in another nuance, through a legal-social approach, highlighting the political manipulation of the normative system, triggering phenomena such as Constitutional Transmutation and the deformation of the Rule of Law. In this quadrant, the hypothesis developed based on Digital Law influenced by Human Rights and the Political Charter to form a barrier to contain the advance of capital over politics and its harmful effects on human society, giving way to the development of socio-technoscience. The methodology applied is predominantly marked by the phenomenological method, formatted from theoretical readings and political reality, apparently disconnected, especially when they denounce the injustice programmed by capitalism, duly treated to format the concepts and results presented in the research. The conclusion that can be reached is that Digital Law needs to be developed under the rule of Human Rights and the Political Charter must be preserved and, if taken seriously, they form an efficient antidote in the fight against inequality and exploitation that are based on law and technology.
