There are records of Chinese people 3,000 years ago using a mixture of snow and fruit juices, a practice that would be a precursor to the production of ice cream. The present work aimed to carry out a diagnosis, based on a case study in an edible ice cream company, and the creation of manuals through the analysis of the operation of the establishment located in the city of Itapeva, in the interior of São Paulo, which produces and sells ice, ice cream and popsicles. From the field work, it was possible to describe its structural characteristics, its functioning, production, as well as what was or was not in compliance with what prescribes the ordinance of the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) nº 326/97 and the Resolution of the Collegiate Board of ANVISA nº 275/02, combined with the study of these documents. For data collection, works were selected from the Google Scholar platform. The productions were analyzed to present historical elements regarding the research process in the area, covering the history of early childhood education in Brazil, the concept of gender, and how this intersection is addressed in early education. The findings show that the in-depth texts available on Google Scholar display equity, appearing to convey the same concepts. However, there is a significant gap in relation to proposals that can effectively translate theory into practice. To achieve this goal, MATLAB was used to model a 1/4 car system and generate random road profiles based on ISO 8608, the standard for road surface roughness classification. Additionally, the Power Spectral Density (PSD) was calculated to provide a detailed analysis of the vehicle’s vibrational characteristics as it traverses different types of pavement This work presents the development and analysis of a simulation model to study the dynamic behavior of a vehicle using a quarter-car model, in accordance with ISO 8608, which classifies pavement roughness. The adopted methodology includes the parameterization of different road profiles, generated to represent realistic driving conditions, such as those encountered in Formula SAE competitions. The proposed model allows for the analysis of the dynamic response of the suspension system, focusing on the unsprung mass (wheel). Using MATLAB, algorithms were developed for generating random road profiles and simulating the response of the quarter-car model. The simulations confirmed that the generated profiles comply with the characteristics specified for roughness class B of the ISO 8608 standard. The Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis helped identify critical frequencies that could cause undesirable resonances, guiding adjustments in the suspension system to enhance vehicle performance and safety under competitive conditions. The results demonstrated that the suspension system is effective in attenuating high-frequency vibrations. Comparative analysis between different road profiles of the same class indicated consistency in vibrational responses, suggesting that the conclusions of this study can be generalized to other similar driving conditions. Several varieties of lemons (Citrus limon (L.) Burm) can be commercialized, either for fresh consumption and for industrial processing, depending on the agronomic characterization of each variety. The objective of this work was to evaluate fruits and plants present in the BAG (Active Citrus Germplasm Bank) that is present in Sylvio Moreira Citriculture Center/IAC, seeking to identify new genotypes with commercialization potential. The work was conducted at the “Sylvio Moreira” Citriculture Center/IAC (CCSM/IAC), whose institution maintains the largest and most important citrus collection in the world at BAG. Among the accessions available at BAG, in 2019, eight lemon varieties were selected (Kutdiken SRA 530, Fino SRA 344, Asaasli SRA 632, Kerkachi IAC 694, Karystine SRA 623, Malti SRA 636, Lapithou SRA 541 and Menton SRA 625). Two seedlings were made from these varieties, grafted onto Rangpur lime, which were planted in an experimental field orchard. In 2022, physical-chemical analyzes of the fruits were carried out (juice yield, total soluble solids, total titratable acidity and proportion), number of seeds per fruit and vegetative development of the plants (height, diameter and crown volume). Juice yield showed no difference between the evaluated genotypes. The juice from the Kerkachi IAC 694 genotype showed lower total titratable acidity, a higher number of soluble solids and a higher proportion compared to the other genotypes. Regarding the number of seeds per fruit, the Kutdiken SRA 530 genotype presented the lowest number of seeds per fruit when compared to other genotypes. All trained genotypes were vigorous, this can be seen from the height, diameter and crown volume of the plants of all genotypes, which have values equal to or greater than 3.1 meters, 3.3 meters and 19.76 meters, respectively, at the end of the third year of planting, revealing robust and healthy development. All evaluated genotypes are options available for the fresh fruit market. However, the definition of what it means to be the best driver is subjective, as it can involve different factors, whether technical or emotional. In this work, we propose to evaluate the performance of Formula 1 drivers through an exact and objective approach. To do this, the similarity of the performance of two drivers is measured based on metrics that take into account variables that evaluate both the driver's talent and the quality of their cars. From these similarity measures, we will build a directed graph with weights, where each vertex represents a driver and each edge is weighted by a function of the similarity measure between the vertices that defines it. Finally, we will find the stationary distribution over this graph, and the best Formula 1 driver is the one with the highest distribution. In this context, the development of solar energy conversion devices seeks new materials to compose photovoltaic cells, among which perovskites have gained attention due to their diversity, low production cost, and superior optoelectronic properties, allowing for high energy conversion efficiency. The optoelectronic properties of perovskites are closely related to structural distortions, and being able to explore these distortions allows for a deeper understanding of these materials. Due to the peculiar structure of perovskites, which have the chemical formula ABX3, an ideal cubic system without distortions presents coordination 6 at the B-site, which is used as a reference value. Based on this, this work explores the coordination at the B-site as a way to quantify the structural deformations of perovskites. Specifically, three different methods for calculating the Coordination Number (CN) were implemented, namely CN, ECN, and ECNav, and their results were compared for a set of Halide Perovskites with Organometallics available in a public domain database. The results showed that CN is entirely dependent and sensitive to the cutoff factor p, making it unsuitable for comparing different systems, as there is no way to define this factor univocally. In contrast, ECN and ECNav provide close and compatible results. However, the ECNav method has a slight tendency to yield results closer to the ideal value (6). On the other hand, ECN results in a more homogeneous distribution. These differences are justified by the specific algebraic formulation of each implementation. It discusses the existence of a hegemonic masculinity, which is the standard of agency to be followed by boys and men, and divergent masculinities, marked by affiliation with the female gender and which occupy subordinate positions in the hierarchy of gender relations. Through a literature review and data collection, analytical units related to the Matadouro Stream were defined, and census sectors were adopted to establish a sample population divided into three study areas, designated as Area A, B, and C. This process led to the development and application of a questionnaire to evaluate individuals' perceptions of the urban waste problem. To analyze the data obtained from the questionnaires, descriptive statistical analysis methods were initially applied to selected variables to provide an overview of this population. Subsequently, Factor Analysis was used to identify Latent Factors based on responses from individual interviews. Then, the Multiple Correspondence Analysis method was applied to develop profiles of the respondents. Finally, the ANOVA test was conducted to determine whether the population's perception in the three areas was statistically different due to the identified Latent Factors. The main finding of this research is the conclusion that there is a statistically significant difference in the environmental perception of urban waste among residents of different areas along the Matadouro Stream. The applied research method revealed that residents of Area A perceive waste merely as something dirty and useless, whereas residents of Areas B and C see the same waste as useful, valuable, and even a source of income. From the perspective of geographical and social disparities, Areas B and C, which are more peripheral and socially disadvantaged compared to Area A, demonstrate a greater tendency to view waste as a resource. This study aimed to evaluate the residual efficacy of different insecticides applied as seed treatments for the control of D. maidis under greenhouse conditions. The experiments were conducted at the Pest Management Laboratory at UFSCar, using maize plants of the AL Bandeirante variety treated with neonicotinoids. The insecticidal active ingredients tested were clothianidin, thiamethoxam, and a ready-made mixture of thiamethoxam with lambda-cyhalothrin. The seeds were treated with the respective products, sown in pots, and later, plants at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 days post-emergence were infested with adult leafhoppers to assess insect mortality over four days. The results indicated that clothianidin and thiamethoxam, both alone and in combination with lambda-cyhalothrin, were effective in controlling D. maidis during the first 15 days post-emergence, with a high insect mortality rate. However, after 20 days, there was a significant decrease in treatment efficacy, becoming almost null by 30 days. This phenomenon has aroused the curiosity of scientists for centuries. Despite continuous discussion on the definition, when, and how coevolution occurs, some studies do provide some evidence of coevolution. The goal of this study was to survey biological coevolution cases in Brazil. Specifically, we detailed the interspecific interactions, the taxonomic groups, the locations, and whether there is commercial interest in the coevolution cases found. For this, we searched for scientific papers in the platform Periódicos CAPES. We found 11 papers, of which eight addressed parasitism, three mutualism, and one herbivory. Our results show that coevolution is understudied in Brazil, which can impair biodiversity conservation. In the computational context, Manim is a Python library designed for creating high-quality graphical animations and mathematical objects. With the aim of exploring the use of Manim considering aspects of Mathematical Visualization in Teaching contexts, this Course Completion Work (i) reviewed the literature on Computer Visualization from the perspective of Diehl (2005), (ii) compared aspects of Mathematical Visualization between Manim and Geogebra and (iii) developed teaching material that can assist the teacher in Teaching Differential Calculus. Results show that Manim stood out as an effective tool in the educational context, with a high level of granularity and reuse capacity, being adaptable to different perspectives and educational needs.
