The absence of gluten in formulations represents a major challenge because the technological properties provided by gluten proteins are lost, compromising the texture, volume, and appearance of the products. In this context, the food industry seeks alternatives capable of reproducing the functional properties of this compound through combinations of alternative flours and starches, substitute proteins, lipid ingredients, and hydrocolloids. The interactions among these ingredients are crucial for the success of the formulations, directly affecting physical properties—such as specific volume, color, and firmnessand sensory properties, including texture, taste, and consumer acceptance.The present study aimed to analyze the influence of different ingredients on the technological and sensory properties of gluten free products. A bibliographic research methodology was adopted, consisting of the selection, critical analysis, and systematization of information obtained from scientific articles in reliable databases such as SciELO, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The study identified the main technological challenges, the types of alternative ingredients used, and their effects on the technological and sensory properties of the products. In the beverage sector, characterized by high competitiveness and narrow margins, logistical strategies that promote operational efficiency and cost reduction—without compromising service quality—become particularly relevant. In this context, cross-docking emerges as a strategic alternative, as it reduces or eliminates intermediate storage by transferring products directly from inbound to outbound vehicles. This approach offers benefits such as lower storage costs, shorter cycle times, and greater agility in customer service, although it also presents challenges related to supplier–carrier coordination, integration of information systems, strict time control, and adequate operational capacity. The objective of this study is to propose a discrete-event simulation model capable of representing the main activities and constraints of cross-docking operations applied to the beverage sector. To this end, interviews were conducted with supply chain managers, and a simulation model was developed to reproduce different operational scenarios, incorporating constraints such as product availability, dock and vehicle capacity, outbound windows and start times of loading activities, route and handling times, internal resources, and asset returns. The results demonstrate that simulation, when adjusted to the specific characteristics of the sector, is an effective tool for evaluating the viability of the strategy, sizing the required infrastructure, defining appropriate equipment levels, and supporting strategic decisions—such as the number of suppliers and the timing of demand release. A total of 81 species were identified on iNaturalist and 343 on WikiAves, distributed across different conservation categories, with most classified as LC (Least Concern), and some as VU (Vulnerable) and CR (Critically Endangered). According to iNaturalist, the Ecological Park stood out as the location with the highest number of species, reinforcing the importance of green areas for breeding, shelter, and feeding of avifauna species. Currently, the sector stands out as one of the pillars of Brazilian agribusiness. In 2023, sugarcane generated approximately R$ 111.2 billion from a cultivated area of about 9.6 million hectares. However, the use of intensive monoculture systems can lead to ecological imbalances, favoring the development of pest insect outbreaks. These organisms, in turn, have natural enemies capable of regulating their populations naturally. This review aimed to revisit the trajectory and development of biological control in sugarcane crops, with emphasis on the use of macrobiological agents and on the consolidation of species such as Cotesia flavipes and Trichogramma galloi in the management of the sugarcane borer, Diatraea saccharalis. The research was developed in two complementary stages: botanical survey and ethnobotanical investigation. In the first, 49 species were recorded in three health units, of which 34.7% are native to Brazil, 49% are exotic, and 16.3% are naturalized, 20 of which are included in the National List of Medicinal Plants of Interest to the SUS (Renisus). In the second, carried out through interviews and guided tours with six interlocutors recognized as holders of knowledge about plants, 81 species belonging to 44 botanical families were identified, showing that the use of plants transcends their biochemical function, constituting a symbolic and cultural web that integrates body, territory, and spirituality. The study also revealed 20 species common to both health units and the Brazilian National List of Medicinal Plants (Renisus), and 28 species common to both popular knowledge and Renisus, showing that some of the species on the official SUS list (Renisus) are known by the population and are cultivated in health units. On the other hand, popular knowledge recorded 42 exclusive species (not cited in Renisus and notcultivated in health units), 35 of which are native or naturalized, demonstrating that popular knowledge can contribute to expanding the Renisus list. The investigation examined the effects of this substitution on different block dimensions, concrete strength classes, and pile load capacities, quantifying material consumption and analyzing the structural performance of the elements. For this purpose, the blocks were analytically designed, and the concrete and main reinforcement steel consumptions were quantified. The analysis considered variables such as block geometry, number and diameter of piles, and concrete properties, allowing for a comparison between steel options in terms of structural and economic efficiency. The results indicate that CA-70 tends to reduce the amount of steel required for the main reinforcement in large foundation blocks, whereas in smaller blocks the use of CA-50 remains more economically advantageous. These flaws, formally cataloged as Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) after identification by a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA), are registered with a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures ID (CVE ID). Immediate public disclosure of these records does not always occur, as premature exposure can be exploited by malicious actors before patches are available, making swift resolution essential. This work proposes and applies the Collection and Analysis of Correction Time method (ColATeC) to investigate the lifecycle of vulnerabilities in Linux distributions. The analyzed distributions include Red Hat (6, 7, 8, and 9), AlmaLinux (8 and 9), Rocky Linux (8 and 9), Debian (10, 11, 12, Sid, and Trixie), and Ubuntu (16.04, 18.04, 20.04, and 22.04), with the following objectives: (i) map vulnerability disclosure mechanisms adopted by each distribution; (ii) compare public data with records from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); (iii) quantify vulnerabilities per distribution; (iv) measure average patching times; and (v) evaluate disclosure policies across versions of the same distribution. The results revealed significant variations in patching efficiency among distributions, identifying those with higher vulnerability density and faster response times. Additionally, discrepancies in published data were detected, suggesting opportunities for improvement in transparency and the adoption of structured formats (e.g. JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)). In conclusion, the ColATeC method establishes itself as a strategic tool for continuous monitoring of cybersecurity metrics. The event study methodology is employed, constructing abnormal returns (AR) by adjusting fund returns to the CDI, used as the benchmark, and their aggregations into average abnormal returns (AAR) and cumulative average abnormal returns (CAAR) over the [-20, +60] window for two groups, top 10 and bottom 10, ranked by net asset value as of the last day of the sample. To test for a regime shift, mean ARs in the pre- [-60,-1] and post-event [+1, +60] windows are compared using Welch’s t-test. The results reveal an immediate negative shock in AR, with a statistically significant average drop for the top 10 group (p <0.01) and borderline statistical evidence for the bottom 10 group (p ≈ 0.056). The top 10 funds exhibit lower volatility, a shallower drawdown, better risk metrics, and more resilient f lows, suggesting that scale and diversification mitigate losses and speed up post-shock recovery. Limitations and possible extensions are discussed, such as the incorporation of additional events, strengthening the robustness of the sample, and using alternative reference indices. Conventional control of these pests is typically based on chemical nematicides, which present limitations such as environmental impact, high toxicity, and the risk of selecting resistant populations. In this context, interest in sustainable alternatives has increased, particularly the use of essential oils. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the in vitro nematicidal potential of essential oils extracted from Pêra sweet orange (Citrus × sinensis) and Late IAC 585 mandarin (Citrus × deliciosa) in the control of nematodes collected from agricultural soil. The experiment was conducted at the LANEM laboratory of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Araras campus. Essential oils were obtained by hydrodistillation using a Clevenger apparatus, employing fruit peels as raw material. Bioassays were performed in ELISA plates at concentrations of 0, 100, 200, and 400 µL mL-1, evaluating nematode mobility at 0 and 24 hours. The results showed that both essential oils significantly reduced the number of mobile nematodes, indicating nematicidal activity. The highest concentration, 400 µL mL-1, produced the most expressive effect, reaching up to 91.48% efficacy for Pêra sweet orange oil. The Late IAC 585 mandarin oil also exhibited high effectiveness, reaching up to 78.82% efficacy at the 200 µL mL-1 dosage. The differences observed between the oils may be attributed to their distinct chemical compositions, including varying levels of limonene, γ-terpinene, and other bioactive terpenoids. In recent years, however, national productivity has been affected by adverse climatic conditions, reinforcing the need for studies that evaluate key agronomic traits related to crop performance. Sugarcane undergoes four main developmental phases (sprouting, tillering, growth and maturation), all of which are influenced by plant-environment interactions. Among these phases, tillering and vegetative growth stand out, as they directly affect stand establishment, initial vigor and the potential yield of genotypes. Crop's development depends on environmental factors such as temperature, light, humidity and rainfall, in addition to the inherent genetic characteristics of each variety. Breeding programs play a crucial role in the progress of the sugar-energy sector, seeking to develop more productive and adapted varieties, resistant to biotic and abiotic stresses. In Brazil, institutions such as IAC, CTC and RIDESA have led the development of modern cultivars recommended for different production environments. In this context, the objective of the present study was to evaluate the tillering behavior and vegetative development of 42 sugarcane genotypes, including commercial varieties and promising clones. The experiment was carried out at the Agricultural Sciences Center of UFSCar, in Araras, São Paulo State, Brazil, with planting conducted in March 2024 using pre-sprouted seedlings (MPB). Monthly evaluations aimed to assess the dynamics of tiller emergence, stabilization and mortality, as well as stalk height growth throughout the crop cycle. Data obtained allow the identification of differences in initial vigor, tillering capacity and growth rate among the analyzed genotypes, assisting in the selection of more adapted and productive materials. Inoculation with nitrogen-fixing bacteria such as Rhizobium tropici is a sustainable alternative to reduce the reliance on mineral fertilizers. This study aimed to evaluate the reduction of nitrogen fertilization in bean plants inoculated with R. tropici without compromising grain yield. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse under a randomized block design, with increasing nitrogen doses (0 to 100% of the recommended rate) combined with seed inoculation with R. tropici, and a non-inoculated control. Evaluations included nodule number, root dry mass, yield components, grain productivity, nitrogen use efficiency (NUE), and marginal economic return. Intermediate nitrogen doses (50–60% of the recommended rate) yielded the best agronomic performance, with substantial increases in nodulation, root development, and production, surpassing by more than 200% the yield obtained at 100% mineral nitrogen. The optimal dose for maximum productivity was estimated at 52.7%, while the highest economic return occurred at 52.74% (63.29 kg ha⁻¹). Nitrogen use efficiency decreased as nitrogen doses increased, indicating greater efficiency at reduced rates. Methodology: The narrative review is a theoretical and qualitative research method aimed at the analysis, interpretation, and critical discussion of a given topic. The bibliographic search was conducted using the curriculum published on the Lattes Platform, the SciELO and LILACS databases, as well as manual searches in major scientific journals in the field of Occupational Therapy. Inclusion criteria encompassed peer-reviewed bibliographic materials, books, and book chapters authored or co-authored by Sonia Ferrari. After identifying and selecting the material, an evidence chart was prepared, containing a synthesis and the objectives of each publication. For the synthesis of the author's professional trajectory, an interview transcript from December 2020 conducted in celebration of her 45 year career and not yet published was used. Results: A total of 15 publications produced between 1990 and 2022 were identified and detailed in terms of content and objectives. Final Considerations: Throughout her clinical trajectory, Sonia Maria Leonardi Ferrari demonstrated the potential of occupational therapy in caring for individuals experiencing severe psychological distress. Her work highlights the need for a dynamic, flexible, and person-centered approach that recognizes singularities, promotes meaning, and strengthens relationships. Nuestros objetivos específicos fueron verificar cómo este egresado se ha incorporado al mercado laboral, analizar su opinión sobre su formación en el programa de estudios en relación con su inserción laboral y, finalmente, describir el mercado laboral de la Educación Musical en la ciudad de São Carlos desde la perspectiva del egresado. Además, estos objetivos se lograrían mediante un enfoque de investigación cualitativa, utilizando una entrevista semiestructurada con un egresado del programa. Finalmente, se esperaba que el estudio contribuyera a las discusiones sobre el mercado laboral para los egresados de música y que también pudiera ser de utilidad para futuros estudiantes. This study aimed to evaluate the sensitivity of three green manure species—Crotalaria juncea, sunflower (Helianthus annuus), and jack bean (Canavalia ensiformis)—to the herbicide tiafenacil, a protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitor, with respect to plant establishment and early development. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse using a completely randomized design, with the application of nine herbicide doses (0, 15, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, and 200 g ha⁻¹) and four replications; the recommended commercial dose ranges from 70 to 100 g a.i. ha⁻¹, depending on the use. Seedling emergence, visual phytotoxicity, plant height, and shoot and root dry biomass were evaluated. The results demonstrated that the residual effect of tiafenacil was species- and dose-dependent, indicating high susceptibility of the evaluated species. Crotalaria juncea and Helianthus annuus showed high sensitivity to the herbicide, with pronounced reductions in growth and biomass, reaching 100% phytotoxicity and complete plant death at doses equal to or greater than 150 g ha⁻¹. Canavalia ensiformis was also susceptible to the residual effect of tiafenacil, exhibiting marked phytotoxicity symptoms and reduced development, although with less uniform responses across the evaluated doses. We propose that Pig Brother can be read as an epic poem with a dystopian landscape that references and dialogues not only with canonical literary tradition, but also with the aesthetic universe of comic books, speculative fiction, myths and shamanism. Taking as a starting point the relationship between literature, landscape, and dystopia, we aim to indicate a connection between Assunção's poems and a modern poetic constellation with which the writer establishes a dialogue, comprised of authors such as Arthur Rimbaud, Sylvia Plath, and Jorge Luis Borges. A diverse critical and theoretical corpus constitutes the foundation for the textual analyses and interpretations, composed primarily of Alves (2013; 2015; 2018), Augé (2003), Bosi (1977; 1988), Campbell (2007; 2009), Collot (2013; 2015), Eliade (1998; 2002; 2007), Hartog (2014), Krenak (2020; 2022), Lima (2022; 2023), Moisés (2019), Moylan (2016), Neiva (2021), Paz (1993; 2012), Santos (1988; 2001; 2005; 2009), Sevcenko (1988), Silva (2017), Sodré (2002; 2016), and Tatar (2022). In this regard, Smart Industrial Products (SIPs), encapsulating a spectrum of cutting-edge technologies, integrated within smart industrial ecosystems develop a central role. This doctoral dissertation aims to explore the evolutional path of main organisational functions, structural hierarchy between capabilities enabled to Production Planning and Control (PPC) function, inter-functional synergy that organisational functions should undergo to achieve full autonomy through the adoption of SIPs and, finally, the relationship between barriers to SIPs adoption. Initially, we identify the capabilities and barriers that SIPs provide for main organisational functions through an extensive Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Subsequently, we investigate the structural hierarchy relationship between the capabilities enabled by SIP adoption and the PPC Function. In sequence, we examine the inter-functional synergy resulting from SIPs adoption across organisational functions. Finally, we investigate the relationship between barriers, proposing a roadmap to strategically mitigate them. Our research comprises a mixed-method study, incorporating elements of SLR, Expert Interviews, Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM), and the Fuzzy MICMAC approach. The first phase of our investigation culminates in a theoretical model outlining the evolutional path for organisational functions to become smart-enhanced, as well as the barriers faced at each stage of SIPs implementation. The second phase proposes a framework for achieving a fully autonomous PPC function, while the third one presents a model illustrating synergistic relationships among main organisational functions. However, this technological advancement was accompanied by significant environmental consequences, as the high durability that granted economic value to plastics also made them extremely persistent in the environment, favoring waste accumulation and contributing to the worsening of plastic pollution on a global scale. Within this scenario, microplastics (MPs) stand out as particles with dimensions between 5 mm and 1 μm. Currently, MPs represent a global environmental and public health problem due to their ubiquitous presence in soil, the atmosphere, aquatic ecosystems, and even human tissues. One of the main challenges associated with this topic is the lack of standardization, which makes it difficult to compare data across different studies. Therefore, this work aims to conduct a critical literature review of the methodologies used for the preparation and analysis of microplastics in environmental matrices evaluating them through the perspective of the guidelines established by ISO 24187:2023, International Organization for Standardization’s standard that defines principles and minimum requirements for microplastic analysis in the environment. The analysis revealed that, although the standard does not dictate a single analytical method, it provides an essential framework for validation, quality control, and data reporting. Spectroscopic (FTIR and Raman) and thermal (Py-GC-MS) techniques offer complementary capabilities that meet various requirements of ISO 24187:2023. This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performance in greenhouse cultivation and fruit morphological characteristics of six C. chinense strains, and two commercial materials ('Biquinho' and the hybrid 'Maria Bonita'). The experiment was conducted in a protected environment under fertigation management in coconut fiber substrate. The F6 2019-6 genotype stood out with the highest productivity, 17,23 t ha⁻¹. This genotype's productive superiority is positively correlated with a greater pulp thickness, an attribute that confers greater fruit mass and increased post-harvest lifetime. This strain exhibited superior productive performance compared to the 'Maria Bonita' hybrid. In terms of market suitability, the F6 2033-5 genotype showed the largest fruit diameter, making it the most suitable for the fresh market, while the F6 2026-1, with more elongated fruits. The results obtained confirm the success of the breeding program in generating lines with high-performance attributes, providing subsidies for the selection and potential release of new cultivars.
