In this study, twenty industrial strains were evaluated through the integration of molecular and physiological analyses, using strain CAT-1 as a control, with the aim of selecting promising strains for industrial application. Molecular analyses confirmed the identity of the strains as S. cerevisiae and revealed high genetic diversity, with the formation of four main genotypic groups, in addition to strains displaying unique genotypic profiles. Physiological performance, assessed based on growth profiles in different media, enabled the calculation of the Total Performance Index (TPI), highlighting strains 2018-12, 2018-08, 2023-02, and 2022-13 as exhibiting superior growth compared to the control. Acid stress tolerance, evaluated through viability and cell concentration after acid treatment, was integrated into the Acid Treatment Tolerance Index (ATI), identifying strains 2022-15 and 2023-06 as among the most resistant. The combined analysis of TPI and ATI allowed the classification of the strains into three distinct physiological profiles: high growth performance with low acid tolerance; high acid tolerance with moderate performance; and a balanced profile between growth and stress tolerance. In this context, strains 2022-13 and 2022-04 stood out for their balanced performance, emerging as the most promising candidates for application in industrial ethanol production processes. Within this context is situated the Parakanã Indigenous people, who self-identify as Awaeté. This study seeks to understand the relational dynamics between the Parakanã and the Associação Indígena Tato’a (AIT), which constitutes the sole representative entity of the people in their relations with the State and partner organizations, and whose team is composed of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous members. The analysis is based on an ethnographic study conducted during the General Assembly of the Parakanã People, which served as a space for meetings among indigenist agencies, partner organizations, the AIT, and the community. In order to examine the internal functioning of the association, an interview was carried out with Tato’a’s technical advisor. Given that the focus of the research lies in the community’s perspectives on the association, semi-structured interviews were also conducted with five Indigenous participants, who articulated their views regarding the association’s work, achievements, and relationships with the non-Indigenous staff employed by the AIT. To apprehend the nuances of each interview, the method of content analysis was employed. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the relationship between the Indigenous community and the association extends beyond that of a people and the entity that represents or supports them. The AIT has become the voice, organizational form, and locus of resistance of the Parakanã people themselves, managed in accordance with their own interests. Traditionally, speed control is performed using classical controllers, such as the Proportional–Integral (PI) controller, which provides satisfactory performance in linear systems but exhibits limitations under dynamic operating conditions. In this context, this work proposes the development and validation of a fuzzy logic–based speed control system applied to a differential-drive autonomous mobile robot. The fuzzy controller was designed using a Mamdani-type inference system, with the speed error and the variation of the error as input variables and an incremental control output. The methodology included experimental plant characterization, embedded system implementation, and experimental tests under different load conditions. The performance of the fuzzy controller was compared with that of a classical PI controller using metrics such as response time, steady-state error, and the Integral of Absolute Error (IAE). Six cultivation greenhouses were built, three automated and three controlled, in which three main parameters were evaluated: dry weight, basidiocarp size, and total number of "individuals". The automated system controlled the temperature by hysteresis (27–29 °C) and performed programmed air exhaust cycles. The results demonstrated that the automated system produced larger mushrooms (Control: 170.64 cm and average: 56.88 cm; Automated: 223.45 cm and average: 74.48 cm), in greater quantity (Control: 15 units; Automated: 20 units); and with greater dry weight (Control: 13.085 g; Automated: 20.393 g). Although the increase in average weight was modest, the significant growth in height and total productivity indicates that temperature and exhaust control aided in the development of the basidiocarps. It is concluded that accessible automated systems can improve the efficiency and standardization of mushroom cultivation, even under simple conditions, reinforcing the potential of Agriculture 4.0 in mushroom farming. Controlled electrocorrosion at 0.20 V and 0.45 V for different durations produced Ni-rich porous surfaces with significantly increased electrochemically active surface area (ECSA). Among the tested conditions, dealloying at 0.45 V for 60 min delivered the best performance, with overpotentials of 240 mV at −10 mA cm−2 and 389 mV at −80 mA cm−2, a Tafel slope of 105 mV dec−1, and a 20-fold increase in ECSA relative to pristine Monel. SEM and EDS revealed the formation of a hierarchical Ni ligament network with partial Cu depletion, while EIS confirmed enhanced capacitive and transport properties. The catalyst also demonstrated stable operation for 72 h. The research investigated whether these approaches enhanced students’ understanding and performance, employing a methodology centered on practical challenges and computer-lab activities. Grounded in constructivist theory, the work emphasizes the importance of active learner engagement with the environment as a catalyst for meaningful learning. The project was designed to lead students to discover the conic sections through hands-on modeling, subsequently deepening their knowledge via theoretical instruction and enriching it with detailed exploration using GeoGebra. Group work in the creation of physical models initiated the discovery process. The lessons were developed in response to students’ questions and misconceptions arising during model construction, as well as to meet the curricular requirements of high school mathematics. Through modeling, problem-solving, and technological interaction with the conic sections, students experienced the mathematical content in a distinctive, contextualized, and engaging way. The research stems from the observation of the lack of debate within universities regarding art produced by Black bodies, as well as by Black Deaf bodies within rap, and seeks to understand how art becomes a space of re-existence, allowing Deaf and peripheral subjects to recognize themselves as producers of culture. Grounded in historical-dialectical materialism and an intersectional perspective, the study discusses how spoken rap and signed rap, despite their distinct structures, converge in their purposes of denunciation, resistance, and the affirmation of insurgent identities. These artistic expressions, shaped by race, class, gender, and disability, confront mechanisms of social exclusion sustained by racism and capitalism, while simultaneously breaking with Eurocentric narratives imposed by matrices of oppression. The research demonstrates that spoken rap and signed rap share not only a critique of systemic violence, but also a re-signification of the acronym RAP (rhythm and poetry) as a practice linked to social movements and strategies of aquilombamento. This work proposes and evaluates an enhanced Non-Local Means (NLM)–based filtering approach, termed Dual Non-Local Means (Dual NLM), which incorporates information-theoretic divergence measures to quantify similarities between image regions. We investigated the Kullback–Leibler, Bhattacharyya, Hellinger, and Cauchy–Schwarz divergences with the objective of preserving edges and fine details while more effectively reducing Gaussian noise. Experiments were conducted on 18 tomographic images from different agricultural crops (sunflower, chickpea, wheat, seed mix, jatropha, and soybean), corrupted with additive Gaussian noise of variance 𝜎𝑛 = 10. Quantitative evaluation using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) demonstrated that the Dual NLM variants based on Cauchy–Schwarz and Kullback–Leibler divergences outperform, on average, the standard NLM and classical filters (Wiener, Anisotropic Diffusion, and Total Variation). In a subsequent stage, we investigated the usefulness of the restored images for pattern analysis. Local descriptors (patches) were extracted, and two dimensionality-reduction strategies were compared: SEI-ISOMAP (with stochastic diffusion distances) and PCA. The resulting embeddings were evaluated using trustworthiness, Pearson correlation between pairwise distances, and silhouette index, and subsequently used as input to supervised classifiers (KNN, SVM with RBF kernel, and Random Forest), whose performance was assessed in terms of accuracy and macro-𝐹1 under stratified cross-validation. The results indicate that SEI-ISOMAP provides better structural preservation and class separability than PCA, and that the combination Dual NLM + SEI-ISOMAP + Random Forest achieves the best average classification performance. Feeding primarily on small vertebrates, insects and fruits, especially of the “wolf fruit”, the maned wolf plays an important role as a seed disperser, being essential for the maintenance of the ecosystems in which it occurs. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the feeding ecology of this species, describing quantitatively and qualitatively its diet and its role as a seed disperser in a human-modified landscape at Fazenda Campininha in Mogi Guaçu. A total of 109 scats were collected, resulting in 27 identified taxa, with Solanum lycocarpum, Poaceae and Cricetidae showing the highest frequencies of occurrence among samples. Germination test was conducted with S. lycocarpum seeds, showing a germination rate of 6% for seeds recovered from scats, whereas seeds obtained directly from fruits showed a germination rate of 2.5%, in addition to a lower mean germination time (MGT) and a higher germination speed index (GSI) for ingested seeds. Seed viability was assessed using the tetrazolium test, indicating an average viability of 90% for seeds recovered from scats. The analysis considered both digital and physical spaces focused on sociability and the construction of collective bonds. The study aimed to understand how participants conceive, negotiate, and reinterpret family, kinship ties, and care practices. Instead of positioning themselves as just another type of family among others, these communities frequently propose new ways of naming and understanding affective bonds, destabilizing normative parameters centered on monogamy, conjugality, and consanguinity. Based on Pierre Bourdieu's theory of social classification systems, the study seeks to understand how these subjects, as classifying agents, develop alternative symbolic references, questioning legal and cultural conventions and asserting other legitimate ways of living interpersonal relations and affective ties. The research also analyzed the role of friendships as a structural element of these relational webs, highlighting alternative forms of organization and care that challenge traditional family models. The study is supported by theoretical frameworks on family, kinship, care, and gender, allowing the investigation to be situated within a broader context of different relational arrangements and affective practices. The study analyzes the impact of public policies such as FUNCINE (Funds for the Financing of the National Film Industry), PAR (Additional Revenue Award), and the FSA (Audiovisual Sector Fund), and their relationship with the creation of a favorable environment for the emergence of new Brazilian independent distributors, including O2 Play. A qualitative methodology was applied to the analysis of official data on theatrical film releases and public investments received by the distributor, as provided by OCA (the Brazilian Observatory of Cinema and Audiovisual) of ANCINE (the National Cinema Agency), Audiovisual Sector Fund, and BRDE (Regional Development Bank of the Extreme South). The research mapped the various distribution strategies pursued by O2 Play, ranging from theatrical exhibition to free-to-air and pay television, and extending to digital platforms, across a wide range of negotiation formats. The scarcity of studies that relate drawing and planning reinforced the relevance of the investigation. The theoretical foundation of the research leads us to understand the drawing of planning as an ethical and aesthetic act, in which the teacher is constituted in a dialogical relationship with the other, assuming their uniqueness and responsibility toward the world. This perspective is articulated with Participatory Pedagogies, which value the child as protagonist and the listening of their multiple languages. In this context, drawing takes a place in sensitive planning, conceived as a flexible, documentary, and expressive pathway. The study also dialogues with the idea of the Reflective Teacher, which leads us to reflect on drawing as a tool for reflection in action and the transformation of practice, and with Visual Literacy, which legitimizes drawing as an essential competence for thinking, organizing, and communicating pedagogical ideas. The data were produced in five meetings held at a Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education in São Carlos, with the participation of eleven teachers. As instruments, we obtained the drawings produced by the teachers, written records, the researcher’s reflective journal, conversation circles, and word clouds, which were analyzed using Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA). The results initially showed insecurity and resistance among the teachers to drawing, resulting from the predominance of writing in pedagogical practice. However, throughout the meetings, drawing was re-signified as a resource that favored clarity, organization, and playfulness in planning. The participants recognized that drawing made it possible to get closer to their own pedagogical intentions, as well as to broaden reflection on the spaces, times, and materials of Early Childhood Education. We conclude that drawing can be incorporated into planning as a complementary language, enriching the process of pedagogical organization and strengthening child-centered practices. These issues hinder stable powder spreading, full densification, and microstructural control, thus limiting their industrial applicability. In this context, the objective of this work was to investigate the surface functionalization of gas-atomized AA2017 powder – an aircraft Al-Cu-Mg alloy from the 2xxx series (EN AW-2017, AlCu4MgSi) – as a viable strategy to improve flowability, laser absorption, and solidification behavior during L-PBF processing. Two approaches were explored: chemical etching using acidic (HNO3) and basic (NaOH) solutions, and the addition of TiC particles with different sizes and concentrations. Chemical etching treatments improved powder flowability and laser energy absorption but promoted the formation of oxide layers on powder surface, which increased oxidation-related porosity in the as-built samples. Conversely, the addition of TiC effectively modified the alloy solidification, promoting strong microstructural refinement and a columnar-to-equiaxed transition, along with the formation of coherent Al3Ti particles, resulting in dense and crack-free samples. A key and novel outcome of this work is that fine micrometer-sized TiC particles (<4 μm) outperformed nanoparticles in enhancing the microstructure and mechanical properties of the AA2017 alloy. Although nanoparticles can theoretically provide greater grain refinement and strengthening, their strong tendency to agglomerate limited their efficiency. Therefore, the addition of fine micrometer-sized TiC particles proved to be a practical and efficient route to improve the processability of high-strength aluminum alloys by L-PBF, while also being safer to handle than nanoparticles. The qualitative-quantitative research was conducted with 23 seventh-grade students from a public school in São Carlos, São Paulo, using pre- and post-intervention questionnaires to map changes in affective, conceptual, and taxonomic dimensions.Based on Moscovici's Theory of Social Representations and Abric's structural approach, as well as Costa Neto's Ethnoentomology and Paulo Freire's pedagogy of autonomy, the study initially diagnose da strong “Entomoprojective Ambivalence,” where feelings of disgust and fear predominated, associated with a negative utilitarian view and taxonomic errors. The results obtained after the collection assembly workshop revealed a significant reversal in the affective polarity of the class: the feeling of “Disgust” was drastically reduced, giving way to “Curiosity,”which became the dominant feeling, although “Fear” remained stable, suggesting the resistance of the central core of the representation. In the cognitive sphere, a qualitative leap was observed in the morphological accuracy of the drawings and a 76.32% reduction in taxonomic identification errors,indicating the overcoming of the “insect” ethnocategory. Furthermore, there was a transition in functional perception, which shifted from the notion of “harmfulness/uselessness” to an “Ecological Systemic” understanding. The right to adequate housing has been widely studied at the international level; however, its multidimensional character, according to the definitions of the UN General Comment N. 4, still lacks parameters for analysis and application. An important step to define such parameters is the evaluation of political actions promoted by legal instruments. Urban and housing policy went through important milestones — in Brazil, through the Federal Constitution (1988) and the City Statute (2001), and in Argentina, through the Constitution (1994) and the Ley de Acceso Justo al Hábitat (2013). In both countries, especially in the area of land tenure and urban regularization, the revision implemented in Brazil by the Federal Law of Urban Land Regularization (13.465/2017) and, in Argentina, by the National Law of the Regimén para la Integración Socio-urbana (27.453/2018) brought significant changes. Moreover, despite the diversity of housing programs implemented in Argentina and the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program in Brazil, the housing needs of the low-income population persists, and access to urbanized land remains highly financialized. Considering such paradigm changes in the last 15 years, the objective of this study was to analyze the results promoted by these changes in the legal and regulatory framework regarding access to urbanized land by low-income populations. For this purpose, the advances and limits of intervention policies in informal settlements were evaluated, considering land tenure and urban regularization at the municipal and/or provincial levels, based on six selected cases of urbanization, removal, and regularization — completed or in an advanced stage — in the medium-sized cities of Bauru (Brazil, State of São Paulo) and La Plata (Province of Buenos Aires). The methodology included bibliometric and bibliographic review, documental research, field research, and qualitative-quantitative evaluation of the right to adequate housing involving the dimensions of tenure security, location, and availability of services, materials, facilities, and infrastructure. Recent studies point to the effectiveness of actions aimed at preventing LGBTphobia in these institutions, highlighting the role of university administrations, the provision of training on sexual and gender diversity, as well as friendships and support networks as central factors in preventing and overcoming this violence. Based on research conducted between 2024 and 2025 at a Brazilian public university located in the interior of the state of São Paulo, this study aimed to understand how friendships and support networks, built from dialogical relationships, can act as factors in preventing violence against LGBT+ people in the university context, as well as to identify actions that higher education institutions can promote for this purpose. The research is based on dialogical learning and communicative methodology, articulated with contributions from critical pedagogy, social psychology, phenomenology, and gender and sexuality studies. Data was collected through an online questionnaire, communicative accounts of daily life, and communicative focus groups. Through dialogue with participants, exclusionary and transformative dimensions that tend to contribute to, or not contribute to, the prevention and overcoming of LGBTphobic violence were analyzed. The results indicated that actions centered on the preventive role of friendships and support networks, constituted by LGBT+ and cis-heterosexual people, as evidenced by international literature, produce transformative impacts also in the Brazilian context. As a result of these findings and the dialogue established throughout the investigation, proposals and practical actions aimed at preventing and overcoming LGBTphobia in higher education were developed, highlighting empathy as a central element for the constitution of dialogical relationships and for sensitization processes between socially distinct groups.
