The rheological properties of aqueous binary NaDC:NaTDC systems showed changes as a function of time and the addition of nanocellulose. Control systems containing bile salts formed hydrogels only twelve weeks after preparation, while systems containing cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) formed stronger hydrogels one week after preparation (G'⁄G" = 1.709 for the control system and 10.178 for the system containing CNFs). Binary and ternary aqueous systems of NaDC, NaTDC, and NaC showed changes in their colloidal stability and rheological properties as a function of pH variation. Systems containing NaDC and NaC formed precipitates in acidic medium. At pH 5, the systems showed greater viscoelasticity compared to the systems at pH 10, as evidenced by the formation of stronger and more intertwined hydrogels for the 100:50 mM NaDC:NaC aqueous system containing CNFs in acidic medium (G'⁄G" = 11.592 with G0 = 3679) compared to the systems prepared in basic medium (G'⁄G" = 0.62605 with G0 = 0.12119). SAXS analyses suggested the formation of mixed structures of cylindrical aggregates and spheres for the NaDC:NaTDC systems, in addition to indicating the formation of anisotropic structures in acidic medium and isotropic structures in basic medium. The data obtained in this work contributed to a better understanding of the phenomena and structures obtained from the modulation of bile salt self-aggregates, enabling advances in the formulation of tunable colloids for applications such as modified drug delivery platforms.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Potencial das leveduras em produtos biológicos para agricultura: de promotores de crescimento vegetal a agentes de controle biológico(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2026-02-05) Alves, Isaias; Rosa-Magri, Marcia; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4166319985147604In agriculture, yeasts have been increasingly studied due to their natural presence in soils and their ability to establish ecological relationships with plants. Research indicates that these microorganisms can provide several benefits to their associated plants, including the production of phytohormones, the ability of some species to solubilize minerals, the production of siderophores, and their application in the biological control of phytopathogens, among others. Despite this, the potential use of yeasts in agriculture remains less explored compared with other microbial groups. This review aimed to survey the scientific literature on yeasts, their association with plants, and the potential mechanisms involved in plant growth promotion and biological control, in order to better understand the potential of yeasts as plant growth-promoting agents and their use as bioinputs in agriculture. A systematic literature review was conducted using the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, including studies published in English over the last 25 years. After the removal of duplicates, articles were selected through the screening of titles, abstracts, and full texts. Studies investigating yeasts isolated from soil and the rhizosphere or obtained from microbial culture collections were included, evaluating their use in plant growth promotion and/or biological control of phytopathogens. The genera Candida, Cryptococcus, Pichia, and Meyerozyma were the most frequently studied regarding plant growth-promoting potential. The studies demonstrated a direct relationship between higher indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) production by yeasts and increased development of inoculated plants, as well as a strong capacity for mineral solubilization. In addition, the studies highlighted the role of yeasts as effective biological control agents.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A mediação de leitura do livro-imagem e o brincar literário(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2026-02-05) Maciel, Monisa; Lombardi, Lucia Maria Salgado dos Santos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5697508831302188; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8111246537173225; Feltre, Camila; Araújo, Hanna Talita Gonçalves Pereira de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7470535858414999; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5311668516476504This research aims to investigate how the mediation of picture book reading, carried out by the pedagogue, can generate the proposition of playful activities with children, understood as pedagogical developments of the mediation experience. The specific objectives are: to gather theoretical references on picture books and reading mediation; to analyze the experiences of picture book reading mediation carried out by the researcher herself in the school context; to investigate how the mediations carried out enable the emergence of playful activities as pedagogical developments of picture book reading; and to reflect on the role of the educator as a mediator of picture book reading and proposer of play activities, considering the aesthetic, symbolic, bodily, and affective dimensions of the children's experience. The research question is "How can the mediation of picture books by educators generate the proposition of playful/engaging activities with children as a pedagogical unfolding of the mediation?". To answer this, the methodology consisted of a bibliographic review of the State of Knowledge and an (auto)biographical approach. The results show that image reading requires specific attention in the training of readers and that the mediation of picture books, carried out in a contextualized and critical way, constitutes a fundamental dimension of visual literacy. The research points to the importance of guaranteeing children's access to picture books as a way to expand and qualify their visual repertoire, as well as the need for the educator's reading training to consistently include the mediation of image reading. It is also evident that reading mediation is not limited to the moment of direct interaction with children, but begins in the planning phase, especially in the processes of curation and selection of works. This planning demands respect for the child, sensitivity, attention to aesthetic quality, narrative, and diversity of genres, authors, illustrations, materials, and formats of books, reaffirming the role of the educator as a qualified mediator. It was found that literary play is an essential practice for learning, since it allows for the manifestation of the imagination, as well as the exercise of the sensitivity characteristic of childhood, marked by a poetic perception of the world. By promoting play practices based on the child's interpretations of the picture book, the establishment of links with visual reading is favored, permeated by lightness, joy, and learning.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Atravessamentos étnico-raciais na atuação de terapeutas ocupacionais em centros de atenção psicossocial da cidade de Salvador(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2026-02-05) Cruz, Tiago Dias; Ricci, Éllen Cristina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2306373037361143; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5541078052133738; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3429-6749; Silva, Carla Regina; Magalhães, Lilian Vieira; David, Emiliano Camargo; Dantas, João Gabriel Trajano; Ricci, Ellen Cristina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6417501858864106; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8695787131933459; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3380759523384213; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1057076984543951; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2306373037361143This study examines ethnic-racial relations at the intersection of Occupational Therapy and mental health, understanding racism as a historical social structure that produces psychological suffering among Black people in Brazil and affects access to, continuity of, and quality of care in public services. Despite struggles and resistance, its effects persist in people’s everyday lives, as well as across territories and institutions. As a field committed to ways of living, Occupational Therapy calls for a critical, anti-racist stance, particularly in mental health care. The study analyzes how ethnic-racial issues and their unfolding shape the practice of occupational therapists working in Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) in Salvador, Bahia. This is a qualitative, descriptive, exploratory study guided by a critical and decolonial perspective, involving 14 occupational therapists from different CAPS modalities, each with at least one year of experience in the service. Data were produced through semi-structured interviews, mostly conducted remotely, audio-recorded with authorization, fully transcribed, and complemented by field notes. The analysis followed Content Analysis, resulting in four analytical categories: (1) Racism, territory, and intersectionalities as the structure of care; (2) Between silence, recognition, and action: movements of racial awareness in professional practice; (3) Professional education and institutional structures: between gaps, tensions, and (im)possibilities; and (4) Quilombamento and Afro-referenced practices as strategies of care and resistance. The findings show that racism, territory, and intersectionalities permeate the organization of care and shape possibilities for mobility, protection, and life projects. They also indicate that the racial dimension fluctuates between silencing, partial recognition, and isolated actions. In addition, gaps in professional training and institutional barriers impose limits on mainstreaming racial issues in everyday service practices. Finally, Afro-referenced practices and quilombamento movements emerge as ways of producing belonging, protection, and care in Black territories. The study concludes that sustaining racial issues as a cross-cutting dimension within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) requires ethical-political shifts in Occupational Therapy, including confronting institutional racism, strengthening the language and documentation of care, and consolidating anti-racist practices as an ongoing service policy. The study contributes to improving public policies and Occupational Therapy education, supporting ethical, anti-racist, and equity-oriented care in the field of mental health.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Síntese e caracterização de hidrogéis de celulose bacteriana da kombucha(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2026-02-05) Serpa, Evelin Thayná Barbosa; Menezes, Aparecido Junior de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0484426340349483; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5638-489X; Rezende, Maíra de Lourdes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2299690498863346; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0677-0068; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4116134340210657; https://orcid.org/0009-0002-1735-1117; Mais, Paulo José de Sousa; Barud, Hernane da Silva; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7563056909720108; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7020467292690112; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3101-3712; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9081-2413The growing environmental concern has driven the use of biopolymers as sustainable alternatives to conventional materials, with bacterial cellulose (BC) standing out due to its high purity, biodegradability, biocompatibility, and absence of cytotoxicity. Unlike plantderived cellulose, its production does not require harsh processing steps, such as the removal of lignin and hemicellulose using strong acids and alkalis. Furthermore, its structure, composed of a highly hydrated nanofibrillar network, allows it to be classified as a type of hydrogel, although there are divergences in the literature regarding this definition. In this context, this study aimed to utilize waste from Kombucha production to obtain bacterial cellulose (KBC) and apply it in the production of biodegradable hydrogels. KBC production was carried out using a 2³ factorial design, evaluating sugar concentration, sugar type, and cultivation time, with membrane thickness as the response variable. The results indicated that cultivation time (21 days) was the most significant factor (89.68%), while sugar-related variables did not show a significant effect at this stage.KBC was used to produce environmentally friendly hydrogels, which were crosslinked with carboxymethylcellulose and calcium chloride (CMC/CaCl₂) and with citric acid (CA), using two approaches: defibrillated and intact structures. The KBC and hydrogel samples were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The hydrogels were also subjected to swelling tests, and their crosslinking densities were determined.FTIR and TG analyses confirmed the occurrence of crosslinking and the formation of chemical bonds, while XRD indicated the preservation of the cellulose crystalline structure. SEM images revealed that sugar concentration influences the density of the polymeric network, directly affecting swelling properties. Swelling tests and crosslinking density analysis demonstrated that water absorption behavior is directly related to the type of sugar used. The best results were obtained with demerara sugar, especially at a concentration of 10%, with swelling values of 3,900% for the citric acid-crosslinked hydrogel (HCA) and 30,000% for the CMC/CaCl₂-crosslinked hydrogel (HCMC), indicating the formation of less densely crosslinked networks with higher absorption capacity. The results demonstrate the potential of KBC and the developed hydrogels for environmental applications, particularly in wastewater treatment, heavy metal removal, and sustainable superabsorbent systems.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O ensino do atletismo na educação infantil: as contribuições dos jogos e das brincadeiras para o desenvolvimento infantil(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2026-02-05) Cruz, Osvaldo de Jesus; Godoi Jacomassi, Daniela; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7699007812483790; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2864291711221950; https://orcid.org/0009-0003-5050-6149; Gemente, Florence Rosana Faganello; Ginciene, Guy; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9789647065401781; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4920258823233058Athletics is a sport that can greatly support children’s development due to its ability to stimulate different motor skills and to convey learning that goes beyond the motor domain, encompassing social, behavioral, and other aspects. In school Physical Education, sports are typically taught only in the years of elementary education, and athletics is generally not a popular sport among students. In Early Childhood Education, children should have opportunities to experience different situations outlined in the Fields of Experience established by the BNCC, with Physical Education addressing themes related to the culture of movement in a playful way, aiming to support child development through games and play activities. Play is fundamental for children, as it is through play that they interact with peers and their environment; it is by playing that they can express feelings and sensations, overcome challenges, and communicate more effectively. Given the difficulty of relating Physical Education curricular content—especially from the perspective of sports teaching—to the Fields of Experience proposed for Early Childhood Education, this study aimed to analyze the process of designing and implementing a didactic unit addressing elements of athletics through games and play in Early Childhood Physical Education classes. This is a qualitative study conducted with five-year-old children from a Municipal Early Childhood School (EMEI) in the city of Ribeirão Preto, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Data collection was carried out through video recordings, a teaching journal, and drawings produced by children. The results showed that the process of designing the didactic unit was dynamic, involving adjustments and reorganization throughout its implementation, which led to an increase in the number of sessions, resulting in a final structure of eight sessions. Regarding its implementation, the didactic unit proved appropriate to the children’s developmental level, allowing them to understand and experience the activities in a playful and safe manner. We conclude that games and play represent a powerful pedagogical strategy for teaching athletics in Early Childhood Education. Teaching athletics to this age group proved relevant, as it enabled the integration of different Fields of Experience and contributed to children’s motor, cognitive, and socio-emotional development, in alignment with the BNCC. As an educational resource, a mini didactic guide on athletics for Early Childhood Education, especially for five-year-old children—was developed based on the experiences of the participating children, with the aim of supporting teaching practice and promoting holistic development.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Sertão em festa: do narrador em travessia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2026-02-05) Nunes, Marília Marques; Souza, Geraldo Tadeu; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3516168011612531; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1352-0027; Silva, Vanda Aparecida da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9920701759600807; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7558-6443; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2131259433795172; Barbosa, Gabriel Túlio de Oliveira; Miranda, Maria Fernanda Costa; Mendonça, Viviane Melo de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9396430813594125; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2794631960324149; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4827331651090223This dissertation reflects on the human condition starting from the sertão of João Guimarães Rosa, revisiting memories submerged in veredas and entering the cerrado through the work Corpo de Baile. This study analyzes the relationship between festivity in the literature of the writer João Guimarães Rosa, in the novella Uma estória de amor (Festa de Manuelzão), and festivity in O Caminho do Sertão, a socio-eco-literary immersion. This event takes place in the valleys of the Urucuia and Carinhanha rivers, the creative universe of the Minas Gerais writer, beginning in 2014 and encompassing the geographical territory located in part of northwestern Minas Gerais, along the border with the states of Bahia and Goiás. The specific objectives are: 1) To understand the relationships between the literature of Guimarães Rosa and the event O Caminho do Sertão in a cartography of the territory; 2) To analyze the theme of festivity in the novella Uma estória de amor (Festa de Manuelzão); and 3) To analyze the theme of festivity in O Caminho do Sertão. Based on the concepts of “experience” and “narrator” (Benjamin, 1994), we look at the territory of the Rosian sertão in order to understand what underpins the experiences of traditional peoples (Kopenawa, 2015; Krenak, 2020; Santos, 2023), observing the importance of festivities, movement, and the body in the territory (Martins, 2023; Miranda, 2023). We therefore brought into this reflection the festivities, the narratives of the people who live in the territory, as well as the experience of the researcher as a walker and observer of this crossing of O Caminho do Sertão. We seek to understand the characters and the people of the sertão from within, who live in the in-between, a geography of crossroads that lies between reality and literature, between Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Goiás, between agribusiness and the cerrado, between lived and celebrated life and the crushing superstructure of capitalism. The research revealed the learning process through the experience of the researcher-walker, at the same time that it brought an understanding of the processes of struggle of the people of the Rosian sertão against the exploitation of agribusiness. The struggle and resistance of the people who live in this territory necessarily pass through festivity.
