Resumo
The act of creating is an all time present activity in a person’s life, when performing the simplest activities of their daily lives, the human being creates and/or uses tools from previous creative activities, in fact, the world that surrounds this individual is full of his creations and it is this world that also provides the necessary experiences for such activities. This work aims to investigate and discuss how these creation processes occurs, specifically in childhood. In order to investigate this theme, a qualitative and bibliographic study was carried out. This work is divided into three chapters. The first is the Memorial, where the author tells her experiences and childhood memories that led her to the chosen theme. The second chapter presents and describes the methodology used. At last, the third chapter consists of the theoretical framework, which establishes what the creative process is, the relationships between imagining and creating, the relationships between playing and creation and the action learning and creative representation. The final considerations point to the importance of imagination in the psychological and social development of children and the importance of the educator in promoting situations and environments that contribute to child protagonism, consequently enabling creation and its development.
